Process Flow: Maximum number of errors

Hello!
When executing a mapping through Process Flow, “Maximum number of errors” is set to 50 and the mapping returns 5 errors. Will the mapping return SUCCESS, WARNING or ERROR?

• OWB Process Flow - Transition Warinig OR Error - Question

Hi all,
I have a question. In a Simple Process Flow I have:
Start -> Mapping -> Warning -> Email
-> Erro -> Email
->Sucess - End
Is necessary use 3 Transition ?
Can I do only 2 Transition like
Start -> Mapping -> Warning OR Error -> Email
->Sucess - End
How can I do "Warning OR Error" on a Transition?
If i put any condition on the Transition:
Start -> Mapping -> Email
->Sucess - End
It means
Start -> Mapping -> Warning OR Error -> Email
->Sucess - End
Thanks

If i put any condition on the Transition:
Start -> Mapping -> Email
->Sucess - End
It means
Start -> Mapping -> Warning OR Error -> Email
->Sucess - End
it exactly what you need

• Javac maximum number of errors

Hello,
I have a need to be able to specify a a command line argument to "javac" so that it will output more that it's default 100 errors.
By default once javac encounters 100 compile errors, compilation stops, I need to be able to increase or disable the 100 compile error limit.
Could anyone be so kind as to assist me..
Thanks

I am in the same boat: need to display more than compiler 100 errors. The reason is complicated... Anyone know how?

• Define number of errors before exit compilation process

Hi,
I know that under HP Itanium there is a flag to define max number of errors before compiler ends with failure (aCC_MAXERR flag). Do we have in C++ studio same flag for enabling it under Sun Solaris environments?
Appreciate your answer,
Thank you
Moshe

Beginning with Sun Studio 12 udpate 1, we have an undocumented "Qoption" to allow you to set the maximum number of errors:
CC -Qoption ccfe -max_errs=+N+ ...
where N is an integer.

• Error registering Process Flow Location

Hi
I've installed OWB 9.0.4 and successfully registered
Process Flow Location.
Then i've added russian lang to Oracle Workflow Repository
After that when i try to register Process Flow Location
i get error: RTC-5327 Schema OWF_MGR does not contain an
Oracle Workflow Repository.
But i still able to deploy Process Flow Packages
using earlier created Process Flow Location.
Thanks

Vasily,
This sounds like the known bug 2836447: OWB REPORTS OWF REPOS NOT INSTALLED IF MULTIPLE LANGUAGES ENABLED. The bug was fixed in 9.2 and also should be in the next 9.0.4 patch (9.0.4.11).
The workaround for now is to run the following in Workflow Schema (owf_mgr):
update
WF_RESOURCES
set
NAME = NAME || '_' || LANGUAGE
where
TYPE = 'WFTKN' and
NAME = 'WF_VERSION' and
LANGUAGE <> 'US';
commit;
The following removes the workaround and restores the WF_RESOURCES table to their original state. This should be applied when the fixed OWB client has been installed.
update
WF_RESOURCES
set
NAME = 'WF_VERSION'
where
TYPE = 'WFTKN' and
NAME LIKE 'WF_VERSION_%' and
LANGUAGE <> 'US';
commit;

• Error when using wb_rt_api_exec.run_task api to call process flow

Dear All,
I am using OWBV 10.2.0.3 and currently have some issue with it.
I have a process flow and I'm executing it using wb_rt_api_exec api.
When I ran it, that process flow failes with below error messages.
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
RPE-01038: Failed to evaluate expression null. Please modify the expression, redeploy and retry again.
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing.
RPE-02227: Cannot test Control Center user OWF_MGR. This user must match the login credentials of the evaluation location configured on owning module.
ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
But using same user when I log on to the OWB client I can run that process flow without any error. So it seems to be there is no any sesurity issues too.
Furthermore I have done below things.
OWF_MGR (Processflow user), OWB_MGR (repositiry user) and RUNTIMEUSR (user used to run the processflow) all registered under control center.
There are couple of forum post here. I followed all those and didnt work anything for me.
Early response highly regards,

Hi,
look these forum threads {message:id=3140661} and {message:id=2695999}
I think you need connect with Design Center under user which you used for executing processflow and register workflow location

• Process flow errors

Hi all,
I am upgrading owb from 10g R1 to 10g R2. Now, I can deploy and loading data for every mapping. When I am testing the process flow, I get the error message like this :
ORA-01924: role 'OWB_O_OWBRTR2' not granted or does not exist
ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SESSION", line 132
ORA-06512: at line 1
RPE-02215: Failed to test synonym QREGODSL_WB_RTI_WORKFLOW_UTIL.
RPE-02260: Database User OWF_MGR must be a Control Center User.
When I doing the upgrading, I did reporsitory upgrads, but nothing for process flow. Do I need to take some steps for process flow upgrades? If yes, how can I do it or where can I find the related document? If no, then what does the error message above mean?
thank you so much

The Process Flow Database User should be created as Target User before you deploy the process flow.
i.e OWF_MGR should be created as a target user

• Internal error when generating a process flow.

Hello,
I got a message asking to contact Oracle Support.
Using OWB 9.2.0.4.0 we are unable to generate a process flow.
The process flows validates without any errors or warnings but gets problems when we deploying then process flow.
This is the message we received::
oracle.wh.repos.sdk.exceptions.WBException: Internal Error: ProcessPackageGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for PDC_PKG
oracle.wh.repos.sdk.exceptions.WBException: Internal Error: ProcessPackageGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for PDC_PKG      at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.application.WHRuntimeProgress.notifyInternalError(WHRuntimeProgress.java:180)      at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.application.WHRuntimeGeneration.run(WHRuntimeGeneration.java:98) \nCMPException message and stack trace:\njava.lang.Exception: Internal Error: ProcessPackageGenerator.generate WBGeneratedObject[] is null or length 0 for PDC_PKG      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.ProcessPackageGenerator.generate(ProcessPackageGenerator.java:123)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.ProcessPackageGenerator.generateProcessPackage(ProcessPackageGenerator.java:451)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.ProcessPackageGenerator.generate(ProcessPackageGenerator.java:97)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.generation.DeploymentGenerator.generate(DeploymentGenerator.java:75)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.UnitControllerImpl.defineUnit(UnitControllerImpl.java:130)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.UnitControllerImpl.<init>(UnitControllerImpl.java:78)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.DeploymentControllerImpl.defineControllerList(DeploymentControllerImpl.java:249)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.DeploymentControllerImpl.<init>(DeploymentControllerImpl.java:50)      at oracle.wh.service.impl.runtime.DeploymentSpecificationImpl.createController(DeploymentSpecificationImpl.java:395)      at oracle.wh.ui.runtime.application.WHRuntimeGeneration.run(WHRuntimeGeneration.java:86)

this is just a shot in the dark, and a pure guess/try approach but try to recreate the process flow and see if you still get the same error. I do recall having something similar happening to me and what I ended up doing was dropping the process flow and recreate it. That was an easy option as the PF was very simple.

• Upg 10gr2 to 11gr2, process flow: RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition...

Hello.
I am in a bit of a pickle right now after upgrading OWB from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.3, and I'm here requesting a sanity check. Due to the need of a database upgrade, OWB also has to be upgraded and the data warehouse that has been functional and stable for a long time on 10g needs to be migrated to 11g. So this is main deal:
I just want to migrate all mappings and workflows and run them as before. I do not want to redeploy as that will force an enormous effort to regression test everything.
So the OWB upgrade went seemingly well. Everything runs as before. The problem started when I tested deployment of a mapping and subsequently
1. Deployment of a mapping goes well.
2. Deployment of the process flow goes well.
3. Deployment of a mapping that is run in a process flow however causes problems when the process flow is executed.
The deployment goes well. However the mapping fails when I run the process flow with the following error:
RPE-01003: An infrastructure condition prevented the request from completing: no rows found for select into statement.
I subsequently sync the mapping in the process flow redeploy the process flow. Now ALL the other mappings in the process flow that have not been redeployed since the upgrade fails with the same error. However the one that failed before is executed correctly. If I redeploy all the other mappings (which can be dozens) it works, but now I'm faced with a serious regression testing period.
Personally I have a couple of theories that I hope you can debunk or possibly verify.
1. It might be location oriented. I say that because my locations are a bit... iffy. When I redeploy some mappings in some locations it always insists on redeploying the connector (regardless if I deploy it stand-alone right before), and my location passwords are never "remembered" between sessions.
2. I do not have specific knowledge about how workflows are generated in the repository, but if it's run by ID, maybe a new ID is generated for the mapping when it is redeployed, and subsequently the process flow gets a new ID when it gets redeployed?
I hope someone has seen this before and can get me on the right track. Thanks very much.

Here is a log that also illustrates the problem.
First workflow which does not have a redeployed workflow goes okay. That is WF_BOOKED_PRODUCT_020:MAP_BOOKED_PRODUCT_020.
The second workflow, WF_BOOKED_PRODUCT_030:MAP_BOOKED_PRODUCT_030, that is the one that has the redeployed mapping fails.

• Process Flows Transforms

Hi,
I'm trying to include a PL/SQL function into a process flow from the public transformations. Whenever I validate the process flow it reports the error "VLD-10019 ... Function needs a valid deployment location". But I can't find anywhere to define the location of the public transformations, anyone know what I'm missing ?
Cheers
Pavel

Hi Pavel,
Did you take a look at the configuration for the process? Right click on the process and open configuration. In there you will see your activities.
Go to the activity node and open this, then you will see a setting called "deployed location". Set that to the location your transformation is located in. Typically this is your target location.
Hope this helps,
Jean-Pierre

• Create Process Flow

Dear All,
I had some mappings in my OWB and I don't want to run them individually, I want all of them to run at once in a specific order by a single click.
Should I create process flow to achive this? Do I need to install any thing to create process flow.
I tried to create process flow and get following error while creating its location:
"Connection failed.
Io exception: The Network Adapter could not establish the connection"
Please let me know, what is the problem.
Thanks & Regards,
Danish

When I install through Oracle Database home, I get following things for installation:
- Oracle HTML DB
- Oracle Database 10g Products
- Oracle Database 10g Companion Products
In last option, it installs Oracle HTTP Server and Oracle Workflow Middle Tier.
It do not have Oracle Workflow Server.
I had installed last option now and it has successfully installed. It has asked me to provide Work Flow schema and I had given WF as its name. But I am not able to find this schema in my database now. Do I need to explicitly create schema?
Please let me know,
Many Thanks,
Danish

• Question on process flow

hi guys,
i need some input here. hope u guys can give me some. i've created some process flows. when i'm trying to deploy my process flows, i got an error saying that i don have a workflow repository in my target database. so i can't do my deployment. fine coz i understand that.
i've actually installed the oracle workflow from the 9i database cd coz i found there's an option i can choose from. and i've checked it thru universal installer, it has been installed. so my questions are
1. Can i use the oracle workflow from the 9i Database cd?
2. If yes, where can i setup the workflow rep? coz i didn't find anything that i can use to do the setup. i'm actually running my db on a NT machine.
3. If no, does that mean i have to install the oracle workflow from it's own cd?
hope to get some responses. thanks in advance
regards,
ykl

Regards,

You should check alert log file on database like Alex told you.
And please post Error ;)
But If You can access +ASM, Or ...by the way... if you stop database ... try to check ASM diskgroup.
$ export ORACLE_SID=+ASM1
$ sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL> set lines 130
SQL> set pages 10000
SQL> select NAME, TOTAL_MB, FREE_MB from v$asm_diskgroup;
If your DISKGROUPs for archivelog on DB full... backup or delete them
(please start database mount mode)
$ export ORACLE_SID=DB1
$ sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL> startup mount;
SQL> show parameter log_archive_dest
backup archivelog
$ rman target /
RMAN> backup ARCHIVELOG ALL DELETE INPUT format 'ARCH_%d_%U' ;
or delete
$ rman target /
RMAN> delete ARCHIVELOG ALL ;
After that ...
$ sqlplus / as sysdba
SQL> alter database open
This justs my suggestion, if your database has the problem with ASM diskgroup full ... because archvielog...
By the way... please post your result from ASM query and alert log file
Good Luck

• ORA-Error: Maximum number of Processes exceeds

Hi,
Today we got one Oracle error: Maximum number of Processes exceeds while connects to our Oracle Database.
We have application running on our DB, which have 50 threads running and making connection to Oracle Schema.
In our init.ora file the Processes Parameter is set to 50.
But we also have another init<Schema Name>.ora file which has Processes Parameter as 50.
When I search on this error, I got that it is due to no. of user processes on Oracle instance.
What are these user processes exactly?
If we set the Processes Parameter as 150, and we have RAC environment with 3 Cluster, does it means we have 150*3 processes can run at a time.
The other doubt I have is that: Is this parameter is instance based, SID based or cluster based?
Please provide some input on this.
Thanks in Advance.
Manoj Macwan

If you don't issue
alter system set processes=150 scope=both sid='<your instance 1>'
all instances will be allowed to fork 150 processes.
The other poster is incorrect.
