Process ID not bound

Folks,
i have reached an impass and any help/advice would be appreciated.
Ive got an M5000 Domain running Sol10u5.
Ive had a Fixed CPU pool running for some time now, and all working as it should.
On Friday, I created 2 additional fixed cpu pools ( after removing one which i recreated ). The following process was followed to remove the pool and pset I didnt want.
root@xxxxxx [177] > pooladm -s
root@xxxxxx [180] > poolcfg -c 'destroy pset boe-pset' /etc/pooladm.conf
root@xxxxxx [181] > pooladm -c
root@xxxxxx [173] > pooladm -s
root@xxxxxx [174] > poolcfg -c 'destroy pool boe-pool' /etc/pooladm.conf
root@xxxxxx [175] > pooladm -c
After creating the new pools which seemed to work ok...
root@xxxxxx[158] > poolstat
pset
id pool size used load
0 pool_default 8 0.00 0.49
9 boe1-pool 2 0.00 0.00
8 boe0-pool 2 0.00 0.01
10 wps-pool 4 0.00 0.00
However, after trying to assign a container to one of the new pools I am getting the following :
root@xxxxxx [162] > poolbind -p boe0-pool -i zoneid saturn
root@xxxxxx [163] > pbind -q `pgrep -z saturn -x init`
process id 27989: not bound
Ive also discovered that previously bound containers to cpu pools are showing the same message.
Any help would be appreciated.

ooops,
discovered the issue.
Operator error :-)
mods, please close thread.

  • Exception is thrown "mydb is not bound"(needs urgent help)

    We r three students and our final project is a BPM(Business peocess Management)system.
    BPM is actually a workflow system(managing the business processes)and all the rules and constraints are applied from the Rule Management System.
    we have started the implementation, and therefore we need some help related to the implementation.
    We r using EJB2.0 with JBuilder9, JBoss3.2 as the application server and tomcate as the web server.
    problem:
    I want to create manual database connection using DataSource,
    I am using mysql and database name is mydb.
    I have done all the reqiured configration of mysql with Joss and it is working.
    After getting the initial context, when i try to lookup the datasource, exception is thrown "mydb is not bound"
    Initial context is correct because i have tried entity beans asd it works well.
    code is
    Hashtable contextValues = new Hashtable();
    contextValues.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL, "jnp://loopback:1099");
    contextValues.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
    "org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory");
    Context context = new InitialContext(contextValues);
    context.lookup("java://mydb");
    Kindly help me if u find time,
    regards!

    try java:comp/env/jdbc/mydb or java:comp/env/mydb

  • Deployed EJB Not Bound

    I deplyed a simple EJB on S17AS. The server.log tells me it is deployed successful.

    The relevant simpleEjb.jar_verified.txt is as follows

         Test Assertion :
         Test Description : PASSED [AS-EJB ejb] : jndi-name is simpleHome
    However, the server log did not indicate the EJB is bound even if I set the log level to finest.
    Therefore when I tried to access it, I get the following error

    I tried to use lookup for both "java:comp/env/ejb/simpleHome" and "java:comp/env/simpleHome". None succeed.
    Does anyone know why the ejb is deployed successful but not bound?

    I have created a method in session bean to send message. below is the code of my method
    public void sendMessage() throws NamingException,JMSException{
    QueueConnectionFactory cf;
    QueueConnection connection;
    QueueSession session;
    Queue destination;
    QueueSender sender;
    TextMessage message;
    Hashtable env = new Hashtable();
    env.put(Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY,
    "org.jnp.interfaces.NamingContextFactory");
    env.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,
    "localhost:1099");
    Context ctx = new InitialContext(env);
    //ctx = new InitialContext();
    cf = (QueueConnectionFactory)ctx.lookup("ConnectionFactory");
    destination = (Queue)ctx.lookup("queue/testQueue");
    connection = cf.createQueueConnection();
    session = connection.createQueueSession(false,
    Session.AUTO_ACKNOWLEDGE);
    sender = session.createSender(destination);
    message = session.createTextMessage();
    message.setText("Hello World1!");
    System.out.println("Sending Message.");
    sender.send(message);
    connection.close();

  • Are a single ns-slapd process and its 32 LWP (light weight processes) limited or bound to a single processor?

    ns-slapd and its LWP sub-processes seem to appear as a single process in some tools. Does this limit them to only being able to use one of the available processors on a multi-processor system, either due to lock management or for some other reason?
    W see all the CPUs on a four processor system receiving activity, but the system never exceeds 25% utilization, or, the total of a single CPU.
    Is this a limitation, or are we just not using it much yet?

    <i>Are a single ns-slapd process and its 32 LWP (light weight processes) limited or bound to a single processor?</i>
    The short answer:
    No, and you shouldn't need to worry about it anyway.
    The long answer:
    The configuration LDAP is never a bottleneck in an iAS system. You could have hundreds of iAS servers running off a single instance and a single processor LDAP would still be able to handle the configuration requests easily.
    If you also use your LDAP server as an authentication repository, you should size your LDAP server based on your authentication needs. But even if you are using iDS as an authentication store there are several other factors to keep in mind.
    1. iDS scales pretty effectively up to about four CPU's for the most important operations (i.e. reads)
    2. Unless you are running some unusual application server hardware, you will run out of disk i/o long before you run out of CPU power.
    3. If you have any significant load on the directory server you should probably offload it onto its own server (or partition) anyway so that it doesn't steal excessive amounts of memory from that appserver.
    4. Similarly, if you are putting a lot of stress on the directory server with authentications, you should consider tuning the directory server for those authentications.
    I guess a little more detail about your application server architecture would be helpful in figuring out why your CPU doesn't exceed 25%. I strongly doubt that it has anything to do with slapd, however.

  • Javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: service not bound

    hi
    i am trying to access web services using JNDI lookup.
    this is my client code snippet
    ctx=new InitialContext();
                   //customerSessionRemote remote=(customerSessionRemote)ctx.lookup("customer/remote");
                   Service service=(Service)ctx.lookup("java:comp/env/service/CustomerRegisteration");
                   try {
                        EndpointInterface port = (EndpointInterface)service.getPort(EndpointInterface.class);
                        String user=port.validateUser(getUserName(), getPassword());
                        System.out.println(user);
                   } catch (ServiceException e) {
                        // TODO Auto-generated catch block

              } catch (NamingException e) {

    This process does not appear to work for me.  I'm running 10.8.3.  I created a new user for a guest staying with me.  They have gone now and I am attempting to either change the password or delete the user.  It won't allow me to choose the user I created.  I am logged in as myself and it states that I am an "Admin".  The user I'm attempting to change is listed as a "standard" user and there is a white checkmark inside an orange circular background on the user pic in the list of users.
    Can someone help me?  I am having a hard time believing that OSx will allow me to create users and allow them use of my computer and it's drives, yet it will not allow me to change the password so I can monitor what they might have been doing while logged on?  What if this were my child?  This guest left under sketchy circumstances, and I'd really like to be able to ensure they were not using my computer to do illegal things or to have illegal communications.
    Any help would be appreciated.  (It's odd that it was so simple to "create" a user and set a password for them.......but it's complicated or a little known process to reverse.
    Thanks.

    Here are two screen shots to show you what I am seeing.  The first screen shot shows it allowing me to select (highlighted in blue) my admin user (which is what I am locced in as).  The second screen shot shows it allowing me to select the "Guest" user (highlighted in blue).  However when I click on the user "Orion" nothing happens.  It will not change to highlight that user.

  • Problem in WEB-UI field (Not Bound)

    Hi Experts,
       I am new to CRM Technical, I have added new standard field (Date Of Birth) thourgh component work bench 'BSP_WD_CMPWB'  in 'Z_IC_AGENT' business role. after execution this business roles i could able to see this DOB field but its showing with 'NOT BOUND'
    1.   Can any one suggest me why that newly added field showing like that? Do i need to add any other setting or coding ?

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Ramesh,
    please open you component in transaction BSP_WD_CMPWB.
    Go to the contextnode where you added your attribute.
    Open the GET_ Method of your attribute and set here an external breakpoint.
    Now go back to the webclient UI, restart it and try again.
    You will stop at your breakpoint and you will be able to debug your issue.
    Kind regards

  • Windows Server 2008R2 running Remote Desktop Services reports printer process does not exist when installing PDF printer

     Windows Server 2008R2 running Remote Desktop Services reports printer process does not exist when installing PDF printer, And when Installing network printers from the domain controller it reports it cannot connect to printer.  I can ping all
    network devices. I can connect to the internet.
    On boot I get a netlogon 5719 error followed by service control manager errors 7023,7001 and a group policy error 1129.
    Clients can connect to the remote application and RDP operates to connect to the server internally and externally.
    The domain controller is another server 2008r2 box. I have scoured the internet but have not found any solutions that work yet.

    Hi,
    After referring to your post, it can be identified that the issue which you are facing is mostly due to some network issue in your environment. Please recheck your network connection issue between computer and domain controller.
    Can you able to ping with IP address and also with fully qualified name of a domain controller in the users' and computers' domain. If it fails states that name resolution issue with computer and domain controller. Are you using MS DHCP Relay agent then there’s
    available Hotfix for the particular Event ID. Please go through this KB 2459530 to fix the error event ID.
    As per the net logon error 5719 which you are facing states that the client component of Netlogon was unable to locate a DC for the domain it was trying to perform an operation against. Below is one of the reason. If this is being logged on a DC and the event
    refers to the DC's own domain, something might be preventing the client component of Netlogon from starting a network session (to itself or to another DC in the domain). The following event 7001 & 7023 states start & stop operation service. Please
    go through beneath article for more details.
    1.  Event ID 5719 is logged when you start a computer
    2.  Netlogon 5719 and the Disappearing Domain [Controller]
    3.  Event ID 1129 — Microsoft-Windows-GroupPolicy
    Hope it helps!
    Regards.

  • Update process does not work on Tabular Form

    Hello,
    I have 2 tabular forms on one page, which are using manual update processes.
    First form is created using wizard, and therefore works perfectly.
    The update process is as follows:
    DECLARE
      lc_string VARCHAR2(4000);
    BEGIN
      FOR i IN 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_f01.COUNT
      LOOP
         lc_string := lc_string|| '[' ||APEX_APPLICATION.G_f*03*(i) || '|' || APEX_APPLICATION.G_f*04*(i) || ']';
      END LOOP;
      --Database processing using the concatenated string here
    END;Second form is created manually, using the following code:
    SELECT apex_item.checkbox (30,
                               '#ROWNUM#',
                               'onclick="highlight_row(this,' || '#ROWNUM#'|| ')"',

          FROM DUAL
         WHERE :P18_TEMP = 'ADD_ROWS1'
    CONNECT BY LEVEL <= 1However, the update process does not work on this form.
    I created it using the first one as an example, but with the id's of the second form:
    DECLARE
      lc_string VARCHAR2(4000);
    BEGIN
      FOR i IN 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_f*30*.COUNT
      LOOP
         lc_string := lc_string|| '[' ||APEX_APPLICATION.G_f*32*(i) || '|' || APEX_APPLICATION.G_f*34*(i) || ']';
      END LOOP;
      --Database processing using the concatenated string here
    END;Also, both forms are opening in a modal pop-up dialog window.
    I use a Dialog Region plug-in for that.
    Please advise, what is causing a problem with update?

    Sloger,
    if this is your tabular form
    SELECT apex_item.checkbox (30,
    ...and this is your update statement
    FOR i IN 1..APEX_APPLICATION.G_f*30*.COUNT
    ...Then you will only ever update records that have been checked. Unchecked checkboxes are not passed back in the global array. You need to have a hidden column with the ID's for the record and loop through that when you are updating/inserting. That is why the built in tabular form has a MRU and a MRD. the MRU loops through the hidden ID column. The MRD loops through the checkbox.
    Thanks,
    Tyson Jouglet
