Process.Start(url) sometimes one instance fails

I need some help!!!
ASPX.NET/C#- Call Process.Start(url) several times, sometimes one instance fails without error!!
I have a program that calls a http aspx.net with arguments(URL) to execute some stuff. That program are invoking 10 times that aspx.net (all in the same time) with diferents urls.
But sometimes, one of the calls (url) do not launch in browser.
Code is very simple:
public partial class _Default : System.Web.UI.Page
private Object thisLock = new Object();
protected void Page_Load(object sender, EventArgs e)
try
string URL = Request.Params["URL"];
Logger.Log("CURRENT URL TO LAUNCH->", URL);
lock (thisLock)
ProcessStartInfo startInfo = new ProcessStartInfo("IExplore.exe");
startInfo.WindowStyle = ProcessWindowStyle.Maximized;
startInfo.Arguments = URL;
Process.Start(startInfo);
catch (Exception ex)
Logger.Log("Exception", ex);
}The URL launch are a client side technology! And that´s because i need to open the IE in WebServer! It´s silverlight web application to generate reports! The silverlight application closes the IE instances after finish. Everything goes right, except sometimes in 10 requests one fail
Thanks

What's the url do?
Is it possibly that the url isn't ready or there?
I can't recall ever doing process start from a web page.
Maybe there's an alternative way of approaching whatever you're trying to do.
BTW
I think you should probably ask this question in the asp.net forum since there's actually no Silverlight in the mix there
Hope that helps.

  • Firefox will not let me start more than one instance (or new window)

I thought I'd check here first in hopes of an answer.  I am not sure what this is related to honestly.  I have not done any recent system updates and this was working fine yesterday afternoon.
This morning, when I unlocked my screen, I was unable to open a new instance of firefox (already had one running).  I rebooted for the heck of it and that did not help in the least.  Trying to run firefox from the cli gives no errors - I am even unable to call a new window from within firefox itself.  Simply nothing happens.
Please any help would be appreciated.  I really need this to work.  I have too much to get done today for something like this to happen.
    Thanks
    B

Yeah I didn't really want to have to do that.  I've got three apache recompiles to do and a conference call in less than 2 hours.
A bit more info on this.
If I run 'firefox -browser -no-remote' it gives me the old 'Firefox is already running, but is not responding.  To open a new window, you must first close the existing firefox process ... yada'
I'm going to try disabling some specific extensions

  • Instead of creating multiple Instances I want to create only one Instance.

    Hi Everyone
    Good morning, How are you.
I have a requirement to transfer files from one location to another location, I am able to do this successfully using FTP Adapters.
I have some Issues please help any one.
    1) When I deployed my process it is creating one instance for one file transfer, Suppose If I have 50 files in my Get
directory, After deploy the process 50 instances are creating and 50 Email generating saying files are not tranfered successfully.
Instead of creating 50 Instances I want to create only one Instance.
    2) When files are not transferd it will fire error mail saying that not success (I want to display all file names(not tranfered files) in my mail , i.e whatever files are not tranfered, need to diplay in mail).
    3) And I am not able to transfer 0 size files, But in BPEL Console Instance is creating for 0 size file also and I am getting Email for success... and In put directory 0 size file is not showing. (Instance is creating and Success Email coming but file is not exists in Put directory)
    Please help me.
    Regards
    Venkat

  • JDBC Driver: Messages stuck in processing started at rwb

    Hi,
I have ABAP Proxy (7.1 EHP1) -> JDBC (MS SQL Server) scenario.
I'm trying to do INSERT_UPDATE.  The interfases works fine for the first 5 messages. If I check the DB I see rows inserted correctly, but the first five messages stucks in processing started, and the others JDBC messages stuck in Pending to be delivered The interfase is developed as asynchron, i'm not affraid in the response.
I tryed to do just an INSERT, send just one message, or change the isolation level. But the messages continues stucking in processing started status.
One of the lasts possibilities is transform the interface to sync  or increase the max number of threads of queue "JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/SystemRecv" via ConfigTool. But I can't stop the j2ee stack until next weekend.
    The audit Log:
    - The message was successfully received by the messaging system. Protocol: XI URL: http://sapdev:51000/MessagingSystem/receive/AFW/XI Credential (User): PIISUSER
    - Using connection JDBC_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System. Trying to put the message into the receive queue.
    - Message successfully put into the queue.
    - The message was successfully retrieved from the receive queue.
    - The message status was set to DLNG.
    - Delivering to channel: CC_C0400_IM01_MES_INTEG
    - JDBC Adapter Receiver processing started, required QoS ExactlyOnce
    - JDBC Adapter Receiver Channel CC_C0400_IM01_MES_INTEG:  processing started; party   / service XXXXXXXXX_DES.
    - INSERT INTO  XXXXXXXXXX_TST (CodArticulo, Descripcion, EAN13, Vidautil, bolsasporestuche, estuchesporcaja, estuchesporpalet, gxu, UNISTK) VALUES (XXXXXX, XXXXXXXXX,              , 270 , 1, 0 , 0.000 , 1000 , KG)
Maybe is a problem in DB side, but the experience tell me that is more inestable a SAP PI than MS SQL Server
    Any Idea?
P.S. In the same PI is coexisting diferents JDBC interfaces that works fine. I have tried to use their channels but still stucking.
And this is not my first PI :P

    Hi Xavier,
have a look at the documentation of this option:
    db.autoCommit=NO|YES
Use this parameter to deactivate the logical unit of work required by the JDBC adapter to guarantee that the data in the database is consistent. This option is required for JDBC drivers that do not support transactions. To avoid data inconsistencies in the database when the logical unit of work is deactivated, ensure that multiple database transactions cannot access the database simultaneously.
    The default value is NO.
Do not set this parameter to YES if the JDBC driver supports transactions, that is, if the system does not display a corresponding error message during normal operation.
    Netweaver Documentation
I'm sure MS SQL Server JDBC Driver is able to support transactions. By default the whole message will be treated as one transaction against the database.
    Regards
    Sven

I am unable to backup my iphone 5 iOS 6.0.1 (connected directly to laptop USB) with my itunes 11 for Win 7 64bits. The process starts and fails to complete giving the error: itunes could not complete backup of iphone because iphone disconnected.
I have restarted the PC, the iphone, changed the lightining cable and nothign resolves it: backup never completes.

Hi, I disabled the antivirus and the firewall. Same result
I even deleted the backup folder inside C:\Users\...\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup to eliminate any corruption in the old backup files.
Nothing changed: Session either times out or i get the same error message: itunes could not back up iphone because iphone disconnected. It always happens during step 3 out of 4 which is "transfering purchased apps from iphone to PC" and comes after step 2 which is backup.
My iphone 5 is not jailbroken, and is a factory unlocked phone.
    Any other suggestion?
    Pls help

  • I have a MacBook and I am unable to successfully update Firefox. I click "Update Firefox" and it's starts updating but never completes the process. I sometimes leave it for hours and it's still updating! Please help!

    Question
I have a MacBook and I am unable to successfully update Firefox. I click "Update Firefox" and it's starts updating but never completes the process. I sometimes leave it for hours and it's still updating! It's almost as if something is blocking it ffrom completing the process. Please help

Next time an app update gets stuck try a reset. Press and hold both the home and power buttons for10-15 seconds till the Apple logo appears. Then release both buttons. Wait till your iPad starts on it's own. Try now. Also YouTube is still available. If you can't find it the the app store go to the bottom of the app store page and tap purchased. All your deleted apps will be listed and you can reinstall YouTube from there.

  • Collect BPM - Start process and correlation in one Receiver

I'm using collect pattern based on timeout. Somehow in my infinite loop, in the receive step, I cannot combine "start process" with creating correlation and using it. All in the same receiver. When I try to activate my BPM, in the processing log I get, "start process" trigger removed.
Can someone throw any light on this....I've being trying this for over few hours now. I cannot get start process and correlation in one receiver. I must be doing something wrong.
Even the copied BPMCollectPattern removes the start process from the receiver.
    thank you,
    Pam
    Additional info:
The first message received starts the process within an infinite loop and activates the correlation "Correlation" by using IDoc message tyoe. Each subsequent message uses this correlation. The messages are received in the container element CollectMessage. In the loop the received messages are attached to the multiline container element CollectMessageList.

    Hi,
We are also in SP12. So start process is not a problem, because you are getting an Information saying that "start trigger removed" right? It is not an error.
Are you getting this eror "expression must not return multiline value" after your complete Integration Process desgin ? If So...
I think you are getting this error in Transformation Step where you are doing N:1 mapping. In this step you are mentioning Interface mapping right? Once you mention Interface Mapping in Transformation step you need to give Source Message Structure as well as Target Message Structure. According to my understanding you are getting error here. You can check these errors, while design time itself. If your entries are showing with Red Border then it is understood that there is an error.
So if error is here then I think you need to check your N:1 Mapping. In this mapping your Source side Messages should be 0...unbounded. Similarly in Interface Mapping also. Just check for Source Message Occurences...
I think it will solve your problem.
    Thanks,
    Moorthy

  • Only one instance in a RAC will start at a time

    All:
    I have a 4 node Oracle RAC running on RHEL AS 4 64 bit. 10.2.0.1 64 Bit
This DB was running just fine last week.
Now all of a sudden only one instance will start.
In the alert log I get an ORA-1102
    crsctl shows everything good
srvctl show all node apps running
srvctl shows all ASM instances running
When the second instance starts the alert log shows the reconfiguration taking place.
Then the second instance will die after getting an ORA-1102.
I have tried deleting and re-adding all the instances with DBCA.
ocrcheck comes back fine on all nodes.
I have another RAC on the same set of HP Blades that is still hunky dorey so I don't know what is going on.
    Please help.

    Hi,
check the value of cluster_database parameter
it should be TRUE on all instances, also post ur alert log and trace file.
    Thanks

  • Listener ( lsnrctl ) - stop and start just one instance

Hey all. I hava a Oracle 9.2 installed over a Linux Red Hat 4.0 64 bits server.
Some Virtual Machines will connect in some databases installed in my Oracle server. My listener has one instance for each database like this:
    SID_LIST_LISTENER =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = VM01)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/9.2.0)
    (SID_NAME = VM01)
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = VM02)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/9.2.0)
    (SID_NAME = VM02)
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = VM03)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/9.2.0)
    (SID_NAME = VM03)
    LISTENER =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = VM01))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = VM02))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(KEY = VM03))
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1521))
    And my tnsnames:
    VM03 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = VM03)
    VM02 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SID = VM02)
    VM01 =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1521))
    (CONNECT_DATA =
    (SERVICE_NAME = VM01)
I need to start and stop just one instance (VM01 or VM02 or VM03). I really can't stop all instances when I need to stop just one. And more if i have to create another instance i will have to stop the listener... and i can't because other people are using your instance...
Do you know how to help me?
    Thanksssssss

You still use listener.ora, just create 3 listeners, one for each instance:
    listener.ora:
    LISTENER_VM01 =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(HOST = lab2)(KEY = VM01))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1521))
    SID_LIST_LISTENER_VM01 =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = VM01)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/9.2.0)
    (SID_NAME = VM01)
    LISTENER_VM02 =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(HOST = lab2)(KEY = VM02))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1522))
    SID_LIST_LISTENER_VM02 =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = VM02)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/9.2.0)
    (SID_NAME = VM02)
    LISTENER_VM03 =
    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =
    (DESCRIPTION =
    (ADDRESS_LIST =
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = IPC)(HOST = lab2)(KEY = VM03))
    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = lab2)(PORT = 1523))
    SID_LIST_LISTENER_VM03 =
    (SID_LIST =
    (SID_DESC =
    (GLOBAL_DBNAME = VM03)
    (ORACLE_HOME = /opt/oracle/product/9.2.0)
    (SID_NAME = VM03)
Then, when you need to stop the connections to only one instance, you stop the corresponding listener:
    lsnrctl stop listener_vm02
    lsnrctl start listener_vm02
For each instance you need to configure the parameter local_listener:
    sys@VM01> alter system set local_listener=listener_vm01;
    sys@VM02> alter system set local_listener=listener_vm02;
    sys@VM03> alter system set local_listener=listener_vm03;
    And register in tnsnames.ora:
    listener_vm01=
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=lab2)(PORT=1521)))
    listener_vm02=
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=lab2)(PORT=1522)))
    listener_vm03=
    (DESCRIPTION=
    (ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=tcp)(HOST=lab2)(PORT=1523)))
It's a recommended configuration for the flexibility it provides,it requires a different port for each listener, but you don't need to edit the listener.ora file each time you need to stop the connectivity to only one instance.

  • How the process starts in XI and which one should start first ?

How the process starts in XI and which one should start first ?

    XI flow :
1.File picked by the adapter,at the A.E it converts to XML format.
2.Generate a msg ID for the file and creates XI header to that file  using CPA cache. CPA cache will be having the    information about all the Control(address) data.
    3.Module processor
4.The file goes to send queue by the adapter engine, that file will be  picked by the internal XI adapter and the file    will be forwarded to the Integration engine.
5.Pipeline steps follow the Integration Engine.
Receiver determination, Interface determination, Msg split, Msg  mapping, Logical routing, Receiver aggrement, call adapter
6.The file will go to receive queue, which was taken and forwarded to the adapter engine.

  • Attachment transfer from SH (SRM) to PReq (R/3) failed in one instance

    Dear Expers,
in SRM 7.0 Classic, I have come accross the following problem with the transfer of the attachments from the SRM Shopping Cart to the R/3 PREq:
This functionality is normally working absolutely fine but now there was one instance observed, where the attachment as such did not get tranferred from SRM to R/3.
In the PReq, that was created from this shopping cart in R/3, the document number for the attachment got created by the DMS, but if i look into the attachment window, than the actual file is not there.
I have checked the other R/3 documents before and after this one PReq and in those documents, the trasfer of the attachment worked fine.
Can anyone think of a reason for this unexpected behauviour?
    Thank you very much.

    Hi,
it is assumed, that at the certain point of time, when the PReq was creating from the Shopping cart, the document repository for attachem (KPRO) was down in R/3. I assume, that that was the reason for this one time unusual behaviour.
    Thank you.

  • Getting Error :- Only one instance of COBRAS Export can be running at a time

    Hi All,
I was checking the Briefcase Mode help file and it mentions for Unity Conection
that COBRAS will run multiple instances of itself – if you schedule multiple backups to fire up at the same time they will all run at the same time.
However if I schedule multiple backups to fire at the same time then I get the error :- "Only one instance of COBRAS Export can be running at a time".
This also happens if the COBRAS windows is left open and the scheduled backup starts in the background.
    http://www.ciscounitytools.com/Applications/General/COBRAS/Help/COBRAS_Briefcase/COBRAS_Briefcase.htm#_Toc276653845
I am not sure if I am making a mistake in understanding the statement :- "COBRAS will run multiple instances of itself – if you schedule multiple backups to fire up at the same time" or do we need to add any switch like lot of other application need like /m etc in the field of the scheduled backups as I see as /silent switch for process to run in background automatically but none for multiple instances.
I am attaching the screen shots of the errors I got when
A.) I scheduled 2 backups to run at the same time and the COBRAS application window was open "COBRASExportCUC7.exe" was running  and no backup took place and got errors for both the scheduled backups.
    And
B.) I scheduled 2 backups to run at the same time and the COBRAS application window was closed off and "COBRASExportCUC7.exe" was not running and one of the scheduled backups started to work and the other one gave error and didn't work

Yeah, I’m of two minds on that – on the one hand it’s bad style to have a scheduled application popping dialog boxes (especially if you’re running as an account you don’t log in as regularly) – one the other hand I did have some sites go a while not noticing backups were failing (due to a UNC not flying any longer after a server reconfig) – folks can be bad about checking log files or the event log for issues.  A pop up would pretty much guarantee they’d notice on next login at any rate.
I think I may stitch in email notifications in COBRAS Export in the same way they’re in the User Data Dump so failures of scheduled backups would be noticed right away (big, bright email in your box saying “failed!” would do it).
Either way, I’ll update the help and make sure it fails quietly for now when I update some other items on the site middle of next week.
    Thanks for the report.

  • "Get Started" URL is rejected and XE database does not appear to start

    Hi,
Brand new to Oracle, so I apologize for my ignorance. Have spent 3 days trying to launch the Get Started URL that Oracle puts on my desktop, or connect with Rapid SQL. I've spent all day today trolling these forums and am unable to resolve this issue.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the 64-bit version, the 32-bit version, repaired, stopped and started services, changed KEY_XE.reg, and the properties of the Get Started URL. No luck so far. Please let me know what I can do.
    Thanks in advance.

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly!
When I signed in to Event Viewer, I got an error message that my event services weren't running, so I downloaded this fix from Microsoft: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2478117
That started my Event Services and allowed me to sign into Event Viewer and clear my logs. They are all clear now.
Then I repaired my version of 11G and rebooted, but am still unable to connect to the database or the Get Started URL.

  • Only letting one instance of my application run

    hi guys,
My application will allow the user to interact with the database. The database will be stored on a local machine, and not on a network, so that only one person can access it at a time.
The problem is, I believe a user can launch two instances of my application simultaneously, and therefore there are potential problems.
So I want the user to only ever be able to launch one instance of the JFrame through which all interactions to the DB are made.
    So MyApp.java contains
    class MyApp
    public void main (String[] args)
    MyFrame mF = new MyFrame();
}Now, is it the right idea of mine to make mF singleton? Or is it the wrong approach?
But what is confusing me is...if at the java prompt I type
    java MyApp
and then I type, once again
    java MyApp
will these two be treated as two completely different running of programs? Say I had mF as a singleton. Does this mean there can exist one instance of mF in each of my two different runnings of MyApp, or are the two somehow connected, which means that if I ran MyApp a second time theer'll be some sort of error cos mF already exists and cos it is a singleton, it can't exist twice?
Sorry if I havent made myself clear. I'm very confused myself.
    Thanks.
    AU

My application will allow the user to interact with
the database. The database will be stored on a local
machine, and not on a network, so that only one
person can access it at a time.If using jdbc then local or remote only really effect your database driver choice not your code.
The problem is, I believe a user can launch two
    instances of my application simultaneously,Yes.
and therefore there are potential problems. Potential but not that difficult to avoid.
So I want the user to only ever be able to launch one
instance of the JFrame through which all interactions
to the DB are made.If you think about responsibilities, then data integrity is not the responsibility of the UI, its the responsibility of the DBMS.
Now, is it the right idea of mine to make mF
singleton? Or is it the wrong approach?A Singleton will only ensure that a jre has a single instance. If you start multiple instances of the jre then there can be one instance of the application in each.
The best solution is to use your databases normal locking process through the JDBC api
The simplest solution is for your program to lock either the database, the table or the record you are interested in. You can do this by creating a lock record on a seperate table. If the insert fails to create the record, somebody else is already using the dataset. If it succeeds then is available. You will need a way to forcible clear the lock if your application stops unexpectedly.
