Process transiente negative Acks in BPM

Hello @all
I am currently working on a JDBC->BPM->R/3(IDoc) Szenario. Within the send-step in the BPM I am requesting an application acknowledgement. On the R/3 backend the ALE AUDIT is configured an working well. Since it is known that only permanent positive/negative acknowledgements are supported by the BPE for Exception handling I have to find an alternative.
What I want is to create an alert when an IDoc status is received which creates even just a temporary negativ acknowledgement that a user can check the idoc inbound processing.
Anyone has an idea for a workaround aside the following one?
Custom processing for ALEAUD01 messages ??
Thanks in advance
Karoline
Custom processing for ALEAUD01 messages ??

we need to know if the message is successfully process or not, if not, we need to get the detail info which is returned in
the acknowledgement message
One way to have the above requirement done is make the process synchronous (if RFC/ Proxy). The response message should contain the state of processing of the message inside SAP....now in the BPM make a check on the response message to see if it is a success or failure....you can apply logic like is success terminate the BPM without any alert.....if failure raise an alert/ send a mail.
Regards,
Abhishek.

  • Process sequence  in File - XI/BPM - File  scenario

how does QOS works within BPM,  Since some processes may take time to process for whatever reasons ( due to some delays ).
I'm planning to develop a scenario like this.
I have 7 files which have same Batch number as part of File name which Iam planning to use as Correlation in BPM.
    File 1 starts BPM.
Within BPM, all other 6 files will be received and sent out.
Then File 1 should be sent
Then I need to make SOAP call to trigger event on the 3rd party application.
    My question is
If I use EOIO as QOS on the Sender file adapters, how does the process works in the following situations.
    File 1 - Batch 1 arrives - BPM process 1 starts
File2 - batch 1 arrives - BPM process receivs and sends message
BPM here still waiting to receive files
    File 1 - batch 2 arrives - BPM Process 2 starts
All other files . Since all files arrived, all files will be be received and sent out in BPM.
    Now question is
BPM Process 1 is still waiting for other files to arrive and BPM process 2 is completed ( Are files will be waiting in Queue here ???)
Does writing of the files on the receiver side will be postponed until queue receives the files from BPM process 1 since I sued QOS as EOIO for all files ?
Would someone please clarify this please.

    Hi,
In this blog, I have used Business <b>Service</b> created in the integration directory.. This is an abstract . So I need to specify , the Sender and Receiver Interfaces explicitly in the business service. and it doesnot have any entry in the SLD.
But if you create the Business System in the SLD and if you import that into the Integration Directory-->Assign this into your configurations scenario, then this step is not required.
Regd. Importing Integration Process- BPM is kind of Abstract Service.. i.e BPM is acting as a Receiver Service and Sender service both..
i,e Source to BPM ( here BPM is a Receiver)
BPM to Target( here BPM is a Sender Service)
    Hope this clarifies..
    Regards,
    Moorthy

  • Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel 2

    Hi dear developers,
I had a problem about BPM process. I was trying to implement this tutorial -> http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/obpm/11g/r1/firstProcess/firstprocess_obpm11g.htm#t3
And all the steps had been done. But the deployment step, i couldn't see my process on the BPM Workspace. I searched the other opinions in the forum. It's completely same with this thread -> Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel
Nevertheless, couldn't find anything helpful. Could you help me please?
    Thanks in advance.
    Erdo

    Hi Erdo
I hope you already ran the demo community seed app to create all the test users and groups etc in the default authenticator. If not, please see this below post:
Re: New to BPM: How to get the tasks in the Workspace
    1. First login into bpm/workspace with domain adminstrator username/password. Then on right side, click on Adminstration link and see if you could see all the roles related to hello world app and also the users that you added to those roles.
One other very basic thing is, you should and must deploy the TaskForms project that has all the taskdetails UI pages. I hope you did this while deploying the workflow and checking the check boxes to deploy other ui projects also.
If seeding and getting demo uses is confusing, you can always use your own users. From weblogic console, create some extra users like weblogic1, weblogic2, weblogic3 etc with some password. Then use these users to assign to the roles from hello world app. Then login with these users. This will also work.
    Thanks

  • No Process under Applications tab in bpm/workspace

    Hi
    Hope you are doing fine.
I have a peculiar problem - the same prj looks fine in one env and not in the other
I've created a BPM workflow, with the first task as Initiator, assigned roles/swimlanes to users properly, made sure the users existed in the server. Also created the taskform/UI prj, and deployed both UI prj and BPM prj. Checked in EM too. But for some reason, I could not see the process when logged into bpm workspace.
Irony here is that the same project, when I deployed it in my local server, I could see it, and the entire workflow is working fine.
But when I deploy it to my dev servers, deployment is hapenning fine, I could see the deployments in EM, also the taskform is associated to the humantask (checked by clicking on the prj in EM --> click on humantask --> Administration tab).
I'm not able to figure out why its not coming in one env and is coming in other.
Is there any extra configuration to be done? Would someone please respond.
    Thanks in Advance
    Regards
    RaviKiran

    Hi All
Just another comment on the same thing.
From some other post, I've seen that webcenter being configured in the domain caused the problem. Not sure if that is correct. Does it have to do with this issue?
    https://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=1116370(last comment)
Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel (last comment)
    https://kr.forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=2138159
I guess the dev server I'm using has webcenter, but unfortunately, I dont have control over it.

  • PAPI WS and Process Webservice in the same BPM process

    Hello All -
Can we use PAPI-WS and Process Webservice in the same BPM process?
Here is my plan for usage.
    i. Use PAPI-WS for instance creation, workflow details and getting process instances.
ii. Use Process Webservice to execute particular task.
Did any one tried this and / or any idea on this?
    BR,
    Justin.

    Hi,
You can use both interfaces but keep in mind that when exposing a process as a webservice the two activities that you can invoke are the Begin and the Notification Wait.

I apologize for my ignorance in this regard but are you referring to upgrade of Oracle database server software?
To my knowledge, there was never a 9.1.x version of Oracle database server software. There was a 9.0.x and then 9.2.x.
So are you referring to Oracle database software or some other component in list of Oracle softwares?

  • IDOC Ack from BPM to SAP R3 runs into an error

    Hi All,
I have a scenario which sends an DEBMAS IDOC to an Integration Process "IP_SPLIT_Site" which process the IDOC and sends it to multiple systems.
When the IDOC is sent from SAP R3 to the receiving Integration Process "IP_SPLIT_Site" in XI, it is processed successfully.
Since the SAP system is expecting an acknowledgement from the receiver of the IDOC, the integration process "IP_SPLIT_Site" tries to send back an acknowledgement for the IDOC which runs into an error because it is not able to convert "IP_SPLIT_Site" into an ALE logical system.
    The error displayed is :
Unable to convert the sender service IP_SPLIT_Site to an ALE logical system
    Error code : ATTRIBUTE_INV_SND_SERV
I am getting this error in all my scenarios where an IDOC is sent to an Integration Process.
Is there any solution avoid this error?
    Thanks & Regards;
    Bbnu

    Hi Michal
The 1st approach seems to be helpful.
about the 2nd approach if i am sending the Ack through a separate send step in BPM then i suppose it would show the same error "Unable to convert the sender service IP_SPLIT_Site to an ALE logical system".
    OR
Do you mean to say that we could send a separate message of type ALEAUD to the SAP system?
for 3rd approach, i wouldn't wanna handle many partner profiles.
    Thanks for your reply,
    Rgds;

  • Process Ownership in Cross Organisation BPM

    Hi all,
What are the pros and cons of using Peer-to-Peer based decentralise approach for managing Inter-Organisational BPM?
What are the challenges and what are the benefits from the aspects like autonomy, governance, security, modelling, monitoring, and process ownership?
    Regards,
    Ganesh Sawant

    PROS:
Using the Webservices you can trigger the BPM Process and pass the values from the web dypro component which will available for the end user and pass it on to the BPM Proess.
We can use EJB as a webservice, where the automated activity in the BPM can output the value based on the logic in the EJB Function. We can manage the automated activity which runs in the back ground of the process as per our logic and returns the value to the next task.
    CONS
Using Webservices in the various activity with fewer data is not advisable as it takes longer time to deploy the process. And any change in the data in the webservices requires regularly re importing of the web services.

  • Process is not visible in BPM Workspace in Application panel

    Hi all,
    BPM/SOA Suite 11g
    DB Oracle 10gR2
I have created and deployed successfully a BPM process following instructions at http://st-curriculum.oracle.com/obe/fmw/obpm/11g/r1/firstProcess/firstprocess_obpm11g.htm
i have seeded the demo community with no issues. Process roles has been mapped as well but i am not able to see any process in the BPM Workspace. later i mapped the user to simple weblogic user instead of jcooper and re-deployed my process but still not able to see the results.
    tutorials said that
Note: If the HelloWorldProcess v1.0 link does not appear in the Applications panel on the Tasks tab, click the Process Tracking tab. It should appear there. You can instantiate the process from that tab.but this also not worked for me
any ideas what could be the issue? i have searched this forum but no successful solution EM doesnt allow to mapp roles in the security section in OracleBpmProcessRolesApp
    or
do we can any other way to run and test the process ?
    Regards,
    Zeeshan Baig

FYI i redeployed the process and assigned role to weblogic for testing  but same result

The screen snapshots are very helpful, and the app roles with user assignment are clearly on the server. Can you add a screen snapshot that shows the BPMN model in jdev? Key thing to check is that the human task is an Initiator task type rather than just a simple user task. And that the task is in the correct swim-lane.
Check User task is initiator you can see here http://i55.tinypic.com/2r20ghy.jpg

Another snapshot that would help is of the SOA deployments in EM. This one is of the UI project deployed as an EAR:
    http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/310/bpmnem.jpg
That would help to ensure that the composite is deployed correctly. From EM navigate to the SOA folder and then soa-infra->default. That will list the deployed composites and the default version.

  • Processing of multiple messages Using BPM

    Hello everybody,
I am pretty much a newbie to this XI technology. I am currently testing a File to File scenario Concerning BPM. The source file contains multiple messages in an XML structure. How can each of these XML messages be posted as individual files? I have reffered to this <a href="/people/narendra.jain/blog/2005/12/30/various-multi-mappings-and-optimizing-their-implementation-in-integration-processes-bpm-in-xi on BPM as a guideline; but here the number of messages are restricted and I want to dynamically determine how many messages are contained in the XML file. Anybody has any idea how to achieve this?
    Thanks and Warm Regards,

    Hello,
The blog you mentioned is for cutting one file into 2 files.
I think you need to use the "<b>ParForEach</b>" step in the BPM. This step is used to loop on a multiple line message and create a single message in one branch. Then you can add a send step in this branch and end only one message.

  • Process player capability of oracle BPM 11.1.1.7

    Hi All,
I have downloaded and installed Oracle SOA suite 11.1.1.7 and wanted to use the functionality of process player but I'm not able to use it.
Does the trial version does not include this functionality??
    Please help.
    Thanks in advance.

What kind of error are you getting when attempting to run it? Are you able to use Process Composer?
Here are a few things I discovered that you need to be aware of before trying to run it: http://avioconsulting.com/blog/getting-started-oracle-bpm-composer-web-forms-and-process-player

    Hi Eduardo
This may not help but I am getting a similar problem and I have a possible workaround.
I'm not a BPM expert though so...
I have got a Null Pointer Exception, three times successively attempting to redeploy a BPMN Process SAR to WLS via JDeveloper only after I've added a new process to the project and attempted to redeploy.
[05:45:17 PM] HTTP error code returned [500]
[05:45:17 PM] Error message from server:
Error during deployment: Error occurred during deployment of component: Responder313Process to service engine: implementation.bpmn, for composite: nicolson-soasuite-bpmn-ipc: java.lang.NullPointerException.
[05:45:17 PM] Check server log for more details.
The only way I can stop this Exception is to Undeploy the existing Process via Enterprise Manager, Stop and Restart WLS. (Which is very tedious...).
To explain, I'm working though the various uses of Send/Receive tasks as described in Modeling and Implementation Guide for Oracle Business Process Management 11g Release 1 (11.1.1.4.0) - 6.4 Communicating With Other Processes and Services.
So I have about five scenarios, each with a simple Caller/Responding process and each with some very simple combination of Send/Receive tasks. When the deployment works, the process communications test fine via EM.
Personally, this looks like a bug. I'm using version below on Win XP SP3.
