Processing down payments

Hi,
I want to know the steps of doing vendor down payments.
I have a PO for $10000 and i want to make a down payment for $2000 for this PO. I have not received an invoice yet for this.What steps should i be doing to pay the $2000 down payment? and where can i check that $2000 was paid out of $10,000.

I am having a problem for down payment processing w
The steps I followed are:
1.I missed to do F-47
2.I did directly F-48 - 1000
3. Created an vendor invoice - 10000
4.Now when I am running F110 , it chooses both 1000 and 10000 correctly.
5.I remove the payment block in advance payment.
6.But now it is asking me enter the payment method and house bank.   I entered them. but I am getting an error,
"Enter a payment method for Incoming payment', Error Message No.FZ010
7. I am not getting this error in my quality client.

  • Processing Down Payment Request with input tax

    Hi Gurus,
    I was trying to process the down payment request using Tcode F-47 with input tax, I am getting an error saying that "Down pmnts with taxes are not permitted when processing with jur.code". For this error I found the note 97288, but this speaks a lot about changing the pricing procedures in SD, but nothing about AP. So, can any one help me to understand what needs to be done to resolve this issue.

  • Down payment process

    Hi guru's,
    I am working on a downpayment process, where i created a material as per down payment process and changed required custom settings as per milestone billing process. as of business requirement 40% percent need to get advance from customer otherwise billing will not happened,
    How can i enter this 40% amount in my sandbox where am creating dummy sales order cycle to test how the plan will work,
    I finished  till deliver , but i need bill that document , i have to show the amount where it received as advance , how can post that money received.
    Please advice me.

  • Down payment process for Poland, new business process or not ?

    Hello,
    I'm a little bit confused about implementation down payment process for Poland.
    The OSS-notes 818079 and 1007635 describe a solution for this.
    How do I have to implement the correct down payment process for Poland ? Do I have to create an extra business process with new sales order type, new billing type, separate calculation procedure, new output type and so on ?
    Or is it possible to use existing business processes in sales and distribution for down payment processes ?

  • Down Payment Processing in Milestone billing

    I have created sales order that does milestone billing. The down payment is 10 % of amount - Billing type FAZ and condition type AZWR is included in Pricing Procedure and ERL is asigned.
    I also have done all the required settings from the help file at:

    But the sales order still says G/L account not found and not saving. Is the G/L account need to found at sales order itself ? If so, where in sales oredr type I have to assigne account determination like KOFI00 etc ? Can any explain this ?
    Does the down payment in sales order do the account determination to find G/L account as in case of regeualr billing docs ?

    How to make down payment through Automatic Payment ( T code F110)

    Hi,
    You can follow the steps provided by Venkat, but there is a limitation when you process down payment with F110.
    Becuase based on down payment request, when you post a down payment document through F110, system will default a payment block A in the posted doument.
    So, when you will post the actual invoice, system will pay that invoice in full, and will not net the down payment you already posted.  Example:
    Step1) Vendor Down Payment: $300
    Step2) Vendor Invoice Posted: $1000
    Now you expect SAP to pay the net credit balance of $700, but F110 will pay $1000 instead if you forgot to manually clear the invoice against the down payment. We used the following substitution rule to force the system to pay the net amount:
    1)First create a set for all your company codes: T-code GS01 e.g. Set Name: Y_COMP_CODE, Field BUKRS
    2) Transaction OBBH
    Prerequisites:
    BKPF-BUKRS IN Y_COMP_CODE AND
    SYST-TCODE = 'F110'  AND
    BSEG-BSCHL = '29' AND BSEG-UMSKZ = 'A'

  • AUC Down Payment issue

    Dear Experts,
    Recently we have activated the down payment process in our system for normal purchase orders without configuring for AUC. In the month end we settle the internal orders to AUC (KO88), while doing this process, I got the error You cannot use this transaction type to post to this asset Message no. AA834,
    I fixed this error by doing the required configuration in OAYB. In the next error system was throwing the errors related to account determination which can be fixed by maintaining the acquisition down payments and down payment clearing account in AO90.
    I don’t understand the strange behavior of the system. There is no down payment in any of the purchase orders related to the AUC even then system is insisting for the down payment configuration.
    I have maintained account determination in our test system and processed KO88 I can able to settle the internal order but some additional transaction with odd value has got posted by debiting the  down payment  acquisition WIP and crediting the Down payment clearing account.
    I did not understood from where this value is flowing.
    Please throw some light on this issue. I want to settle the internal orders to AUC without any error related to down payment as we are not using down payment for AUC.

    Hi,
    If you are using Internal Order in Purchase Order and while doing down payment against Purchase Order, system is also picking Internal Order while processing down payment which cause of errors and posting Down Payment amount on asset while settling Internal Order.
    Please follow the steps for not posting down payment to Internal Order.
    Check your GL account which is using for Posting Down Payment against Sp. GL Ind. (Alternate GL Account)
    Check the field status of that account.
    Maker CO/PP Order as suppress field in Additional Account assignments.
    Now Internal Order field will be suppress at the time of down payment against Purchase Order and then no down payment will be settle to Asset while settling Internal Order.

  • Error when posting Down payment with reference to down payment request

    Hi Experts,
    In October of 2010 we upgraded from version SAP 4.7 to version 604 SAPKH60406.  
    With this upgrade we decided to select the following FM setting:
    "Flag to activate down payment request update to PO history"
    If this flag is set, down payment requests are updated to the purchase order history. In addition, when you create a down payment referencing this down payment request , the down payment request is cleared by the down payment.
    Use- Set this flag if you want to see the down payment requests  in the purchase order history.
    So, since October 2010, the Down payment requests have been updated to the PO history (note - no update of the down payment request was made to the PO status tab) and the down payments (made with reference to the down payment request) have been clearing the DP requests.
    Today we have applied packages SAPKH60407 - SAPKH60409 and we are in the process of testing. 
    Now we are experiencing errors when processing down payments:
    1. create the down payment request (F-47) - this is OK
    2. create the down payment (F-48) with reference to the down payment request - ERROR MESSAGE F5373 - "Order value will be exceeded"
    Can anyone please explain why this is happening?  We would like to keep the "Flag to activate DPR update to PO history" ON
    as it has been since October 2010.

  • Down payment vendor invoice

    hi
    the company has made a down payment to a vendor. co. receives an invoice from the vendor. the vendor is paid considering the down payment. but if you see the invoice entry it does not have any reference to the down payment made initially.
    the example is :
    vendor is paid 25K against an order of 100K. Vendor issues and invoice. When Vendor is paid i.e. final payment , the payment amount is 75K.
    but if i check the invoice the invoice shows 100 and no reference of downpayment.
    my requirement is the invoice should give some ref. of downpayment so that it would be easy to identify against which the downpayment is made
    could you help me in understand how can i achieve this?

    The sequence of down payment and its clearing is as follows
    Advance payment posting ( F-48 )
    Enter SP GL Indicator as A
    Purchase invoice posting ( F-43 )
    Transfer of Advance from SPL GL to Normal by clearing SPL GL (F-54)
    Enter Vendor account number, Invoice number etc., and select process down payments button and double click on amount and save.
    Clearing of Normal Items ( F-44 )
    Enter Vendor Account number and select process open item button and double click on both items (Dr and Cr) and SAVE.
    Then you make payment of remaining balance

    Please let me know what is the process or configuration we have to do for clear TDS in F-54.
    my scenario is I made down payment of Rs. 10000/- with TDS.
    next we are doing MIRO for Rs. 50000/- with TDS full amount
    Then I m adjusting down payment against Invoice no. which I deduct TDS for Rs. 10000/-in F-54
    in this transaction TDS should be reverse for Rs.10000/-
    I checked tax type for payment as central invoice processing. but it is also not working.
    Please anyone know regarding this issue let me know.

    Hi,
    After MIRO posting, please note the following method :
    F-54 - Enter all the header data details, Vendor Code, Enter the relevant Document (Invoice) No.which you need to adjust with Down Payment (10000) made.
    Select to Process down payments
    The next screen shows the down payment document no. and it shows amount & available amount by line item wise.      Amount & available column shows as 10000.
    Select the relevant down payment line item and double click in the last tab "Transfer Posting"
    This tab shows the final amount (after adjusting down payment).
    Go to left side corner and through pull down menu select "document" and "simulate"
    The document shows the overview of the reversal entry for the relevant down payment with TDS amount.
    Please ensure that the tax line items display.  
    If you are not getting the tax line items overview, go to document and select "simulate" once again.
    Finally, the document display all the line items including tax line items with blue colour.  
    Double click relevant line item and enter your text "Adv adjusted for doc ref......"
    Simulate and post.   
    Result:
    Then you check through FBL1N for the relevant vendor, the open item shows only 40000 after adjusting the down payment.
    The cleared line item shows both down payment as well as cleared payments.

  • Down payment against PO

    Dears,
    I have few issues while processing down payments for international vendors. Firstly, we are not able to pay DP for complete PO, system requires line item, the issue is my client wish to pay DP for complete PO because we create PO with more than 50 line items to reduce additional charges (freight, custom clearing etc). In F-48 system doesn't allow to pay at header level, it requires line item, system also doesn't allow to pay more than line item value hence DP tru F-48 doesn't serve the purpose. I learnt that we need to activate MM_SFWS_C1_01 to fix the issue, but do not know the steps to activate and process DP at header level.
    Secondly, the PO shows the DP in local currency instead paid currency which is not an issue but good to have document currency.
    I ll be very happy if I can get replay at the earliest.

    You can activate business function using transaction code SFW5, Your basis guy can help you in this process.
    You can define DP at header level. Use transaction ME2DP - Down-Payment Monitoring for PO for creating down payment request.

  • Down payments in sales orders

    hi all SAP wizards
                                  i have a reqiurement to have the down payments ,( when i create  the sales order ) and in the conditions tab i need to have the condition type AZWR showing the customer down payment requested !
    So my question is why should we need a Billing plan to process a Down payment , how can i config this matter
    would like all of your useful answers

    The following Customizing settings have to be made for down payment processing:
    Settings for the billing plan - To activate the billing plan function, maintain the materials, for which you wish to process down payments, with item category group 0005 (milestone billing). This gives the item type TAO via item type determination. The item type TAO calls up the billing plan function.
    You need to implement the following activities in the billing plan for down payments:
    Maintain deadline category - This determines the billing rule (percentage or value down payment) for the down payment request. The system assigns billing type FAZ (payment request) defined in the standard system with billing category P. (For the billing type FAZ there is the cancellation billing document type FAS in the standard system).
    Maintain the deadline proposal - Use the down payments that are due for the proposed deadlines.
    Maintaining a Pricing Procedure with the Condition Type AZWR:
    In the standard system the condition type AZWR is delivered for the down payment value already provided but which has not yet been calculated. You must include this condition type in the relevant pricing procedure before output tax.
    Enter condition 2 (item with pricing) and the calculation formula 48 (down payment clearing value must not be bigger than the item value) for the condition type AZWR.
    Before the condition AZWR you can create a subtotal with the base value calculation formula 2 (net value). If the condition AZWR is changed manually, you can get information on the original system proposal from the subtotal.
    Maintain the printing indicator - The pricing procedure can not be marked as a transaction-specific pricing procedure (field Spec.proc.) The condition type AZWR has the calculation type B (fixed amount) and the condition category E (down payment request / clearing).
    Maintaining the Billing Document - In the standard system there is the billing type FAZ (down payment request) and the billing type FAS for canceling . The down payment is controlled using the billing category P of the billing type. A billing type becomes a down payment request when the billing category P is assigned. You have to maintain blocking reason 02 (complete confirmation missing) for the billing documents and assign it to billing type FAZ.
    Copying control - Copying requirement 20 must be entered in copying control at item level for the down payment request. In the standard system the order type TA for copying control is set up according to the billing type FAZ for the item category TAO.
    Copying requirement 23 must be entered in copying control at item level for down payment clearing. In the standard system the order type TA for copying control is set up according to the billing type F2 for the item category TAO.
    Financial Accounting settings - A prerequisite for down payment processing is that the account is assigned to the underlying sales document. To do this, change the field status settings in Customizing as follows:
    Set reconciliation accounts (transaction OBXR) - For the `received down payments' and `down payment requests' from
    the G/L accounts you have selected, you should assign the field status definition G031.
    Maintain accounting configuration (transaction OBXB) - For the down payments (posting key ANZ in the standard system) and the output tax clearing (posting key MVA in the standard system), you must maintain the posting key.
    You must also carry out a G/L account number assignment for the tax account.
    Maintain the posting key (transaction OB41) - For posting key 19, set the sales order as an optional field !!!
    Maintain the field status definition (transaction OB14) - For field status variant 0001, field status group G031, set the
    sales order as an optional field !!!
    Assign the company code to the field status variants (transaction OBC5)
