Processors - how many per VM?
Hi,
I have an HP G7 with 2 CPU's. Each CPU has 4 cores (8 in total). What is best practice for allocating CPU to 2 VM's running on one server? Currently I have 4 virtual processors allocated to each VM. I'm looking to get the best performance
out of both.

I am working on application, when i have written a process to send mail, i have a project where i have to send mail at a time for all the email id's
given list there are upto 5000 email id's where text body also include certain set of data from a report. thinking at a time 3000 its difficult i divided
it region wise, but still each region have 2000 odd email id's. during testing when i run the process just 950 mails i could send then i got a error
saying "ORA-20001: You have exceeded the maximum number of email messages per workspace. Please contact your administrator." so please
can any one help me to know How many mails i can send at a time per day using APEX mail system?

You are getting the error may be the following reason,
Check the following,
Login as ADMIN and Goto -->Manage Instance-->Instance Settings--> Mail-->Maximum Emails per workspace
Actually this number denotes the Number of mails can be sent per 24 hour for the workspace,It may exceeded.
It may be the reason.

I'm a school tech coordinator. I have many computers and many iPads. I apologize if there is a some place that has all the rules governing the use of Apple IDs. I looked, and I even tried to get the answers from multiple Apple rep's. I couldn't find the answers.
How many Apple IDs can I have per device?
I want to use the same computer to sync and backup many iOS devices. The iOS devices would be associated with different Apple IDs.
I may load apps under a school Apple ID and have users load their own apps under thier own ID.
How many devices can have the same Apple ID?
Can I use the same Apple ID on all the computers in a lab?
Can I use the same Apple ID on all iPads for a particular grade level?
Are the rules different for iOS devices and computers?
I know that there are limits on "authorize" and "de-authorize" and how frequently those things can be done.
Recently I heard that for the life of an iOS device, it can only be associated with five Apple IDs. That is not good for a school giving iPads to students in a 1:1

How many itunes accounts are allowed per computer?
Hi, I'm trying to figure out the best way to handle configuring all 80 of the iPads my business is purchasing. I know there is a limit of 10 devices per iTunes account. How many iTunes accounts are permitted per computer? I tried to just create 8 apple ids, which I was able to do online. But when I try to sign in to those on iTunes, once I get to the part where I verify with a credit card, I can not get past the 3rd one. I have previously signed in with 2 other accounts on my machine, so I'm wondering if there is a limit of 5 accounts per computer. Can anyone verify? If that's true, what suggestions do you have for how to get around or best manage this situation?

The limit you are referring to is for a single personal Apple ID (not for multiple users) that is allowed to be associated with a total of 10 devices (up to 5 computers and the rest on iOS devices). Example you can have 5 computers and 5 iOS devices, 3 computers and 7 iOS devices, but not 6 computers and 4 iOS devices.

Hi to everybody, I hope anybody can help me with the next case:
I am working on a system in which I have to read signals of 5 different sensors which have different ways to communicate (4 - 20 mA, voltage, RS-232, ModBUS, etc.) with the DAQ Device (cDAQ in my case), at same time when I am reading the variables I must check for the state of several digital inputs to verify connections and if any is interrupt I must stop the Data Acquisition.
My question is if is recommendable to put all the tasks in a single loop with the logic shown in the attached image.
Or if I should divide the tasks in a multiple loop architecture.
If the answer is the second, my next question is: How many DAQ tasks per loop is OK?, my doubt is based on the number of variables that I am going to read
and the different ways to get the measures, specially which are by protocols (ModBUS, RS-232), all this by the response time.
Thanks in advance, all suggestions are welcome!I would recommend using a loop just for control and UI events. It should only have an event structure. Don't use the timeout case, since that just turns the system into a polling. Use Queues to send data from the controller loop to your other loops and User Events to send data back to the controller looop.

the statistics before 7.0 only check queries... workaround would be to have a report on BW statistics filtering on the queries that are in your workbooks... that might give you an "idea", but if there people who run those queries outside of the workbook, it will "affect" your "statistics" -

We'll have a look at three different issues.
- If you want to carry over your tags structure from one catalog to a new one created for the new year, use the small dropdown menu in the title bar of the keywords panel. There is an option to copy the tags and categories structure to a text file. There is another option you'll use when you have created the new empty catalog: it will recreate the same structure of categories and keywords.
- The catalog is hidden by default. I don't know if you can make that folder visible in the Mac, but you can move or copy it to another visible location in your file structure from the finder. The catalog copy will be found in 'custom' location from the catalog manager. Alternatively, you can shut the Organizer and double click on the catalog.pse10db file to open the organizer with the catalog copy.
- I have already reported the bug about not being able to delete a big number of files at the same time. It's sort of acknowledged, but without any clear hope of solution. When I upgraded to PSE13 in Windows, I could see that there was an improvement due to the fact that it is now a 64 bits application which can use all of my 8 GB RAM. The problem is that the process uses all the available RAM progressively, and aborts when there is no more. So, we should avoid workflows implying mass deletions. -

You can use just one CPU.
Im not sure if the notebook would work with another CPU correctly. Its a question of compatibility between CPU and BIOS. But usually the CPU from the same family might work.
