Procurement  through Purchasing Orgs in different company codes

Dear SRM Experts,
System Info SRM 5.0 and ECC 6.0
This situation applies to a multinational company with a different company code for each country. And there is one purchasing organization per company code.
We need to configure a scenario in SRM 5.0, where the user in one purchasing organization should be able to procure from another purchasing organization within a different company code.
Please let me know what configuration needs to be done to accomplish this scenario.

  • Purchasing for different company codes

    Hi Experts,
    Running SRM 5.0 and experiencing problems when trying to implement the following scenario:
    User A located under one company X/pur.org XX/pur.grp XXX should be able to place a PO through Process PO (Only through PO direct, no SC used) transaction for another company Y.
    In attribute BUK of User A both company codes are maintained.
    When placing the PO for User A the purchasing org YY and pur.grp YYY of company Y is selected (as well as the location for Y). PO is placed for the "other" org.
    The next transaction User A does is to place a PO for his "own" company. The pur.org XX and pur.grp X is defaulted from the org.structure. When trying to select the location through the find search the location of the previous transaction is the only one displayed (location for Y), as if the system thinks the user is in the "other" company code. It is possible to manually enter the BP number of the right location. However all validations against the PO still is made against the wrong company code..and the PO can not be placed
    Is this scenario not possible through the Process PO transaction? Are there any settings that can be made to get around this?
    Would appreciate any input.

  • Bulk Procurement for various different company codes in a single PO

    Hi friends,
    I have a scenario.
    My client has 3 company codes in 3 different countries ( India, Ukraine and Japan)
    They procure a number of laptops for their project run at all over.
    They have central purchasing organization in India and assigned to all the plants of the all the company codes.
    Since they have bulk requirement, they will go for bulk procurement from India and ask vendor to deliver at Ukraine and Japan. This will help them to have good discount on bulk quantity.
    How to map in SAP. How account posting done.
    How Japan and Ukraine company codes gets liability. These purchases should reflect individual company code expenses.
    Gurus please suggest me.

    As your all three companies are having different Currency,standard SAP will not allow to create PO for multiple company code.
    The company code in PO is maintained at header level and One PO will have only one company code.

    Hi Bob,
    Yes, please go ahead and populate the Purchasing Org Unit's requester attribute with the Org Unit ID (i.e. Other Purchasing Org ID) that you want your user to Shop on Behalf of from another purchasing organization.
    Some Additional information to set up the Requester attribute:
    REQUESTER
    Goods recipient
    Example value: See definition
    Indicates the organizational units or users for which this employee can create shopping carts, and so on.
    A user can select all users in an organizational unit as alternative goods recipients if the attribute is maintained with the following entry, for example: O 50000019.
    If a specific user is to be selected as alternative goods recipient, the attribute needs to be maintained as follows: <US><User ID of alternative goods recipient>, for example USMANAGER22.
    <b>Shop on behalf of</b>: You have to maintain this attribute for the buying on behalf of application. You enter all users for whom a secretary can order.
    The values defined for the attribute form the basis for the F4 help for the Goods Recipient field available to the secretary or other employee creating shopping carts for other users in the Shop scenario.

  • Vendor Data for different company codes/purchase organization

    Hi,
    In Fax massages of POs the fax number is taken automatically from the filed ADRC-FAX_NUMBER.
    We have 2 different companies and each has their own contact number and fax for the same vendor.
    How can I differentiate the numbers to each company code or purchase organization?
    Where can I maintain different fax and telephone numbers for a single vendor, that can be used in the printing of POs?

    Hello,
    If your intention is to use the same vendor code for different company codes, create a new OA partner with the 2nd fax number. You can default the OA partner in the contract.

  • Single Purchase Order for different Plants of Different Company Codes

    Hi Experts,
    I have a scenario, My Client has 3 Company Codes (1000, 2000, 3000 )
    Company Code 1000 has 2-Plants    ( A001 and A002 )
    Company Code 2000 has 1-Plant      ( B001 )
    Comapny Code 3000 has  3-Plants   ( C001, C002, C003 )
    All these 3-Company codes has centralised purchase organisation.
    My Client requirement is to raise a single purchase order for external vendor, for all the plants A001, A002 which is in one company code and similarly in same Purchase Order for B001 plant which belongs to 2000 Company Code and Similarly for same purchase order for C001, C002, C003 plant which belongs to 3000 Company Code.
    1)Is it possible to raise a Single Purchase to External Vendor for plants of Different Company Codes ?
    2)Does it affect the accounting document ?
    3)How to inward and where to inward these goods ? with respect to plant wise ?
    Please Guide with Valuable inputs.

    1) How about Profit Centre ? We have Framed each Profit Centre with respect to Plant
    Why should there be a problem?
    2)In Case of Migo does we have to be careful and do stepwise MIGO with respect to different Plants ?
    of course people have to be careful when performing transactions.
    if you have multiple items in a PO then you can easily receive all items in one go. So people have to careful and need to check if they really received each of the PO items. Especially if people have authorization for many plants, then the user who is usually performing the receipts for plant A can easily post the receipts of plant B too.
    3) How to Process MIRO ? Can we process Partial MIRO"S with respect to Line-items of those particular Plants ?
    MIRO allows to post the invoice like it is send to you from your vendor. If it is just for a part of your PO then this is just a fact and MIRO allows to post this kind of invoices too.

  • Billing in Stock Transfer between two plants of two different company codes

    Hi Friends,
    I am doing the scenario of stock transfer between two plants of different  company codes.
    I have some issues in Billing for this..
    What are the settings do i need to to for Pricing in SD point of view.
    Ex:
    Supplying         /         Receiving
    Com.Code:2000     /        CompanyCode:1000
    Plant:2100              /         Plant:1100
    SA:2000/10/00      /          SA:1000/10/00
    I created Customer 5555 w.r.t sales area of supplying company code (2000/10/00)
    I created Vendor  7777 and assigned Supplying Plant 2100 in add purchasing data.
    In IMG Settings:
    Define Shipping Data for Plants: In Receving Plant i assigned customer 5555 and sales area blank
                                                        In Supplying Plant i assigned customer blank and sales area as 2000/10/00
    Create Checking Rule: Standard(B SD Delivery)
    Define Checking Rule: Standard(Avallability-01assigned to checking rule B)
    Assign Delivery Type and Checking rule: Document type(NB)-Supplying Plant(2100)-Delivery Type(NLCC)-Checking Rule-(B)
    Assign Doc Type:Supplying Plant(2100)-Receving Plant(1100)-Doc type(NB)
    What are Pricing settings in SD i have to do?????????

    Do the following steps for STO Customizing:-
    1. Create a customer master record for the issuing plant.
    2. Create a vendor master record for the issuing plant, and enter customer account number in the Customer field on the Control screen.
    3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the receiving plant.
    4. Assign the plants to the customer master record in Customizing for Materials Management (MM), by choosing Purchasing <Purchase Order < Set Up Stock Transport Order< Plants.
    The Process Flow would be as follows :-
    Create a stock transport order, following the standard procedure, and send the order to the issuing plant.
    Issuing plant has processes your order, and when it is ready to ship,the storeperson at the issuing plant issues the goods using a transfer posting. The excise clerk there creates an excise invoice.The excise supervisor verifies and posts the excise invoice.It then sends the goods to you, together with the excise invoice.
    Once the goods arrive, you follow the standard procedure for incoming excise invoices:
    The excise clerk captures the excise invoice, using the stock transport order as the reference document. The storeperson enters the goods receipt, again using the stock transport order as the reference document.Alternatively, you can first enter the goods receipt and then capture the excise invoice.
    The excise supervisor then posts the excise invoice.

  • Central Purchase Org and Multiple co codes

    Hello everyone,
                          We are working in SRM 5.0 classic deployment and PDP scenario. We have an issue. We have central purchase org and multiple co codes. So one purchase org will be responsible for all the co codes. In the backend system, pur org is not assigned to any co code since it is a central pur org. Now in SRM , we created a root org, under the root org we created different companies and at the same level i.e under root- purchase org is created and then purchsae groups. In attribute BUK of purchase org, all co codes are assigned. When we check BBP_ATTR_CHECK for this purchase org, we get an error- "company cannot be determined. So we'll not be able to shop. Please let me know if anyone has ever worked on this scenario and whatz the solution? Suitable points will be awarded for the useful answers. Thanks in advance.

    I would not suggest this as an approach. First question is what kind of accounting reports do they need on plant level? Is it AR/AP items per plant or complete set of financial reports include BS and P&L statement.
    WERKS field exists in BSEG, so I guess some report can be generated to represent open items on this level.
    But if you need deeper division in the company on this level, then segments or business areas should be used.

    The  company huving different company codes,many credit control Areas,many sales organizations,Purchasing org.s and Plants.
    for example korea comp.code huving sales org.s in singapore.my question is
    1.can many enterprise structure can be created will it effect the company?
    2.can sales org. located in Singapore ( Personnel Area) can be assigned to  main company is located in Hong kong?

    there r different organizational units i.e company xyz huving different units i.e
    xyz- technology,xyz-electronics ,xyz-logistics etc.
    different countries located in Asia huving many business units
    and each business unit huving Plants,Purchasing organizations and sales organizations.
    my question is there be only one enterprise structure.only one company code be there.which one should be taken as Personnel Area n Personnel Sub Area.

    Again,
    you dont need IDOCs always to create a sales order. You can also create a sales order automatically from the PO through an online job. You can discuss with your ABAPer about online job and they can be able to help you.
    For IDOCs
    You can enable sales order through IDOCs also. For this you have to create a message type for the PO and the transmission medium should be maintained as 6. Explaining the IDOCs fully may not be possible here. However it is easy to configure IDOC if you know message determination in MM or outputs in SD.

  • EXTERNAL OPERATION in a production order with  different company code plant

    in my case i am having a production order with  4 operations.
      0010 milling
      0020 winding
      0030 cutting
      0040 milling
    among this opearion 0030 i want to do it in a plant which is assigned to different company code than mine.
    in this case whether i should proceed with PP01 Control key  with opearion plant as that plant which is lieing in diffent company code or
    i should specify  PP02 control key saying that plant as an external vendor for me and do PR  and PO for that service .
    which should i follow for my case and how cost gets updated .

          For different company code, u have to specify PP02 in the routing for external vendor. In PP02 control key indicator must be set in external opn.
    Before that create purchase info record.
    Enter subcontract info record in routing.
    after running MRP , convert the PR to PO.
    Send the material by MB1B by 541 mvt
    Receive the material by MIGO  by 101 mvt.

    I don´t understand what is your exact problem, as I don´t see any company code being specified. But maybe you should check in XK03 that the vendor master data is created for this company code/purchasing organisation!

    When i try to create a STO with document type NB, it says shipping data can't be determinded. Ofcourse , the material is being maintained for both plant with sales data. thank you so much for ur help.

    this is because of of shipping point is not determined, maintain shipping point for the following combination
    1)The shipping conditions from the customer master record (Shipping screen)
    2) The loading group from the material master record (Sales/Plant Data screen)
    3)The delivering plant

  • Withholding tax of vendor in different company code

    Hi All,
    We are facing problem that withholding tax of single vendor is being deducted correctly in one of the company code while in others, it deducts 0 tax.
    Single vendor e.g. 100002 is created in Company Code 112
    The same vendor is extended in Company Code 113, 114 and 115
    The issue is, we have created four different invoices in different company codes. Now we are making payment by selecting four of the invoices through F-58. It deducts the withholding tax in only 112 company code, while in others its calculating wht = 0
    The configuration is such that, withholding tax type '01' is used in vendor master and in all invoices. The minimum limit is set to 0 so there is not any possibility of not exceeding the minimum amount. The other thing is withholding tax is set at country level, and all of our company code belong to same country so no issue of different configuration. We also check if 'Liable' is checked in each vendor master as well as no exemption is given in any period.
    What could be the possibility?

    I checked, everything is perfectly set. I guess there is some issue with extension of same vendor in different company codes as e.g. in new company code, same withholding tax code is applied on vendor's invoice and deducted correctly while for other vendor it is not.
    Is there any thing related to vendor master?
    PS: Can we check through some report if withholding tax amount on some particular vendor is exceeded with its minimum withholding tax amount, set in IMG?

  • MAM Order - Two items having Booking Units with Different Company Code

    MAM order created with 2 Line Items
    Booking Unit in each Line Item belongs to different Company Code .( Internal Order within each Booking Unit has different Co. Code )
    After billing individual Line Items ,Two separate Billing doc. will be created for this Order
    Each Billing document should be posted to different Co. Code depending upon Co. Code in Internal Order of respective Booking Unit

    But the solution given by you will just change the message class .I wanted to post Two different Line Items within a single MAM Order to different Co Codes after billing . 
    Scenario is that SOrg1 assigned to CCode1 & SOrg2 assigned to CCode2 .
           Booking Unit  BU1 has Internal Order belonging to CCode1 & BU2 has Internal Order belonging to CCode2
    Now MAM Order1 created with SOrg1 having Two Line Items with BU1 & BU2
                    After Billing ,Two Billing Docs will be created for each Line Item .
                     Both Billing Doc will be posted to CCode1
    Now MAM Order2 created with SOrg2 having Two Line Items with BU1 & BU2
                    After Billing ,Two Billing Docs will be created for each Line Item .
                     Both Billing Doc will be posted to CCode2
    Means even if Two Line Items are created within a single MAM Order having BU of different Co Codes ,after billing both Billing Docs will be posted to Co Code of Sales Org at Header level .
    As per the requirement ,irrespective of header Sales org , Line Items needs to be posted to respective Co Code of Booking Units .
