When i try to create a STO with document type NB, it says shipping data can't be determinded. Ofcourse , the material is being maintained for both plant with sales data. thank you so much for ur help.

this is because of of shipping point is not determined, maintain shipping point for the following combination
1)The shipping conditions from the customer master record (Shipping screen)
2) The loading group from the material master record (Sales/Plant Data screen)
3)The delivering plant

  • Using Same Bank Account for two different company code

Can we use the same bank account number and ABA key for two different company codes? Both the company codes are in USA and with the same currency.
Scenario is to separate one division of the company code to a separate company code. Client wanted to know if we can use the same bank account so that they dont have to open another bank account

The system will allow the same ABA and bank account on two different company codes.  However, if you use electronic bank statement (EBS) functionality (or plan to use it in the future), you will not be able to import bank statements for the account if it exists on two company codes.  The EBS program uses the house bank/account ID tables to assign a company code to the bank statement.  If the account exists for more than one company code, the program cannot assign a company code and it will give an error.

  • Find common customers in two different comp codes

    Hi all,
How to find the common customers in two different company codes without writing a code/program?
    thanks in advance
    regards
    PP

Not an ABAP question, nevertheless, look at menu Accounting, Financial Accounting, Accounts Receivable, Information system, Reports for Accounts Receivable Accounting, Master Data, S_ALR_87012195 - Customer Master Data Comparison.
Another answer would be: create a query via SQ01, or report writer.

  • How to enter invoice with two different tax codes in one line?

    Dear friends,
I have this PO for which I enter the invoice.
I recieve later a subsequent debit for this PO from the transporter. This subsequent invoice has got extra debits, one with 21% VAT and one with 19% VAT, which means two items with two different tax codes.
I want to enter this subsequent debit for each item of the PO, and I want to enter both debits in every item of the PO.
How can I enter in one row in MIRO a debit with two different tax codes.
    Thank you.

I want in the same line item to enter two tax codes.
Do you Know if there is any way to do this?
It is a subsequent debit and it has two items with two different tax codes. I want to enter the subsequent debit for a PO with many items and enter the value of the whole subsequent invoice. So there is the need to enter one line item with two tax codes.
    How can this be done?
    Thank you?

Do the following steps for STO Customizing:-
    1. Create a customer master record for the issuing plant.
    2. Create a vendor master record for the issuing plant, and enter customer account number in the Customer field on the Control screen.
    3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 for the receiving plant.
    4. Assign the plants to the customer master record in Customizing for Materials Management (MM), by choosing Purchasing <Purchase Order < Set Up Stock Transport Order< Plants.
The Process Flow would be as follows :-
Create a stock transport order, following the standard procedure, and send the order to the issuing plant.
Issuing plant has processes your order, and when it is ready to ship, the storeperson at the issuing plant issues the goods using a transfer posting. The excise clerk there creates an excise invoice. The excise supervisor verifies and posts the excise invoice. It then sends the goods to you, together with the excise invoice.
Once the goods arrive, you follow the standard procedure for incoming excise invoices:
The excise clerk captures the excise invoice, using the stock transport order as the reference document. The storeperson enters the goods receipt, again using the stock transport order as the reference document.Alternatively, you can first enter the goods receipt and then capture the excise invoice.
The excise supervisor then posts the excise invoice.

  • Two different company in same SAP system ?

    Dear Gurus,
I came across a requirement from Client
There is a company A which is having own business . This company A operates/manage company B (all panning/execution/sales purchase/inventory etc) but not in Books of account. From legal point of view company A is funding company B & generates profit/loss.
But practically company A manages all Business of Company B like a group company but from legal point of view it is a Third party in which company A has Investment . In management reporting they shows all the details of company B.
The reason of this kind of arrangement is govt licence.
In there current situation they have there own legacy system on which they manages this all things ( 2 different Data base ) & its legal .
Can this be mapped in same SAP System ( say as different company code or any other way ) ? ? How ?
    Regards,

    Dear Christian,
Actually I feel that may be that is possible by creating a new company code but i am more concern from Audit point of view

  • Running two different VI codes simultaneously

    Hello guys
I am conducting a study in which I am required to run multiple codes for different harwares simultaneously, I have the vi codes for them, I am looking for suggestions on how I can integrate them in such a way that all of them run simultaneously, can I use "Sync" option provided in the pallate.
    Please suggest
    Thanks in advance
    Best
    Deependra
P.S-  All the hardwares are independent and I am not using any chassis to sync them externally, I only need to integrate the vi codes

Are you just reading from the EMG and force plate?
I'm not hearing anything that says you need absolute synchronization.  So I would just run them as two separate subVIs.  You will want to get away from the example and use the actual driver VIs.  If they both are just reading, them put then in the same loop.  Read the EMG then read the force plate.  Do whatever with the data and loop through it again.  This usually works well as a Queued Message Handler.

  • HOW TO DO BILLING IN STO BETWEEN TWO COMPANY CODES?

    Hi All,
I have done sto between two plants of two different company codes.
    PO generated(ME21N)
    delivery in background(VL10B)
    PICK N PGI(VL02N)
    Stock Posting (MIGO)
All the steps completed and stock overview is also reflected the transfer.
Now Can any body clarify me about do a billing document should be raised between two plants?
what is process to track accounts in each company code abt stock transfer?
    Thanks in advance.
Please clarify with steps to do after MIGO.
    Regards,
    reddyy

    Hi Reddy
The intercompany there are 2 processes
Intercompany STO means there is a stock transfer happens between two plants of different company codes
For that del type used is NLCC order type is NB
Not del type NL as written by you
After the STO the suppying company will bill the ordering company that is intercompany billing
I beleive this is what the process you are trying as per the heading of your thread
Another is intercompany sales followed by intercompany billing and this is what Mr.Murali had sent settings
For this no STO is reqd
The supplying plant will deliver directly to the customer who lies in the sales set up of ordering plant
    NO STO here
After the supply is over the ordering company will bill the customer F2 inv and the supplying plant will bill the ordering plant/company
The billing will be between company code to company code that is intercompany
Scenario 1 is Intercompany STO followed by intercompany billing
Whatever we move from 1 plant to another is stock transfer
Scenario 2 is Intercompanysales followed by intercompany billing
Whatever we supply to the end customer is is sales
By going tro the initial thread once again you are trying  Intercompany STO only
The del type you are using is wrong and it should be NLCC
_I think you are mixed between both as per my knowledge you cant map this as that and that as this
They both are process wise different_
Pls tell exactly where you are struck?
    Regards

  • Inter company STO issuing from Project Stock

    Hello Experts,
In my Scenario, I have two plants A & B which are in two different company codes
Plant A raises an STO to receive materials from Plant B.
Plant A will receive the materials into unrestricted use stock, but Plant B should issue from valuated project stock (via outbound delivery).
This is necessary to keep accurate cost tracking.  If Plant B moved the project stock to unrestricted stock first, then the moving average price could be affected before transferring to plant A.
Can anyone tell me if this is possible?  I don't see stock type Q available for movement 643.
Does anyone have any other options to for intercompany transfer of project stock?
    Regards,
    Thomas

I opened a message with OSS and below is the response.  Basically it cannot be done with the standard system.  There is a note on how to modify your system, but it is only for a certain releases and would be considered a core mod.
    "Dear customer,
Thank you very much for contacting SAP Global Support Center.
unfortunately the functionality you expect does not exist within the
    standard SAP design.
note 92231 deal with a modification suggestion how to create such
movement types in some releases. As this is a modification note
originally proposed for special customers, there is no general
modification for all releases. As the tables has changed
in 46B, the modifications to create 643Q proposed by SAP via the
corresponding notes are not made for your release. We do as well not
plan to provide a new modification note at the moment.
The creation of the movement type is therefore possible but is
considered a modification to the system design."
I am sorry that I could not provide you with a more positive answer
this time but nevertheless can provide an accurate information. For
more information, please refer to note 11 and 83020.
Please notice that the reason for your request does not indicate any
possible errors in the SAP Software. Nevertheless we have at our
discretion decided to process your request within the framework of our
support. Please note that you are not entitled to free consultation in
similar future cases. In this case check the "The SAP Eco-System
in a nutshell" that explains how to find help to overcome this issue.
The document can be found at:
    http://service.sap.com/~sapdownload/011000358700006245642006E/
    Note 1054121.
I am sorry but this is the standard system design. Please confirm your
    message at your earliest convenience.
In the end, my client has decided to transfer the project stock to unrestricted stock before doing the STO.  Please be aware that this could affect moving average price before doing the transfer.

  • Same warehouse for different company codes

    Hello Guru's
is there a possibility in WM , considering decentralized WMS to create a warehouse which can be managed by two different company codes.
thanks a lot for ur suggestions

yeah i do understand that warehouse is connected to plant and we can also have one warehouse to two plants and manage the inventory but in my company case, we manage the inventory of two different company codes in one warehouse by their legacy systems, so i was wondering how to map that in SAP.
In the centralized warehouse as far as i know i dont think we can assign the warehouse to 2 different company codes but i was wondering can we do that in decentralized warehouse.
    thanks for the reply

    Hi all,
I'm a bit confused about this article. I was working with a poster on a question which ultimately led me to this article (as he was using the Disk method described in this article to share one Mac's iPhoto library between he and his wife).
What I'm not getting about any of it is what sort of "multiple user" scenario is this referring to? Is it specifically referring to the User accounts on a specific Mac? So, signing off one user and then signing on another?
The reason I ask is because both my husband and I have Macs, and he is always signed on to his Mac, I'm always signed on to mine. We have a bit more complicated set up in terms of syncing, because our iTunes library is housed on his computer and our iPhoto library is housed on mine. But, bottom line, when I sync my iPhone or iPad to iTunes, I do it on his computer with him signed on (most of the time on both the computer and iTunes), and when I sync his iPhone photos to iPhoto, I do it on his my computer with me still signed on. We have both libraries shared completely, with the option to sync different parts of it to our different devices.
So, in a situation where you are not needing to sign off the "primary" user of a Mac in order to update or sync your devices, does the article even apply?
I just want to get it straight so I can help this poster out with the correct information.
    Thanks,

  • Intra company STO- MRP element reservations

    Dear All'
I request your help to resolve following issue.
I have created Intra company STOs based on different plant's requirements. say PO# 1, 2, 3...100.
The system is reserving available qty based on POs in sequence. When I process PO# 56 for example, when doing PGI in VL02N, the system is throwing error saying deficit of qty in stock.
But I can see stock as available in MMBE, but in mD04, mrp elements are created based on POs created earlier.
But business needs can be, I can process any PO first for delivery and PGI based on urgency.
Request you help in this regard.

    Hi Maria,
    Thanks for your quick reply.
I have checked ATP, that is not activated.

  • Third party order & Inter copany STO

    HI SD Guru's
can anyone tell me please about the configuration steps and the Procedure for "Third Party" & "Inter company STO"
    <b><REWARDS OFFER REMOVED BY MODERATOR></b>
    Thanks

    dear SP
    THIRD PARTY SCENARIO
in third-party order processing, your company does not deliver the items requested by a customer. Instead, you pass the order along to a third-party vendor who then ships the goods directly to the customer and bills you. A sales order may consist partly or wholly of third-party items. Occasionally, you may need to let a vendor deliver items you would normally deliver yourself.
    Process Flow
the processing of third-party orders is controlled via material types. Material types define whether a material is produced only internally can be ordered only from third-party vendors, or whether both are possible. For example, a material that is defined as a trading good can only be ordered from a third-party vendor. However, if you manufacture your own finished products, you may also want, from time to time, to be able to order the same type of product from other vendors.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Sales
Third-party items can be created automatically by the system, depending on how your system is set. However, you can also change a standard item to a third-party item during sales processing manually.
    Automatic third-party order processing:-
if a material is always delivered from one or more third-party vendors, you can specify in the material master that the material is a third-party item. During subsequent sales order processing, the system automatically determines the appropriate item category for a third-party item: TAS. To specify a material as a third-party item, enter BANS in the Item category group field in the Sales 2 screen of the material master record.
    Manual third-party order processing
In the case of a material that you normally deliver yourself but occasionally need to order from a third-party vendor, you can overwrite the item category during sales order processing. For a material that you normally deliver yourself, you specify the item category group NORM in the material master.
If, as an exception, you use a third-party material, change the entry TAN to TAS in the ItCa field when processing the sales document. The item is then processed as third-party item.
If address data for the ship-to party is changed in the sales order in third-party business transactions, the changed data will automatically be passed on to purchase requisition and also to the purchase order ,if one already exists. In the purchase order, you can display the address data for the ship-to party in the attributes for the item.
You can only change the address data for the ship-to party in the sales order for third-party business transactions, and not in the purchase order.
    Processing Third-Party Orders in Purchasing
when you save a sales order that contains one or more third-party items, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition in Purchasing. Each third-party item in a sales order automatically generates a corresponding purchase requisition item. During creation of the requisition, the system automatically determines a vendor for each requisition item. If a sales order item has more than one schedule line, the system creates a purchase requisition item for each schedule line.
Purchase orders are created from purchase requisitions in the usual way. For more information about creating purchase orders, see the Purchasing documentation. During creation of the purchase order, the system automatically copies the delivery address of your customer from the corresponding sales order. In a sales order, you can enter purchase order texts for each third-party item. When you create the corresponding purchase order, the texts are automatically copied into the purchase order. The number of the purchase order appears in the document flow information of the sales order.
All changes made in the purchase order are automatically made in the sales order as well. For example, if the vendor confirms quantities and delivery dates different from those you request and enters them in the purchase order, the revised data is automatically copied into the sales order
you process third-party items by creating a normal sales order. In overview for the order, you can then overwrite the default item category (TAN in the standard system) with the special item category for third-party items: TAS
    Billing Third-Party Orders
If relevance for billing indicator for the item category has been set to B (relevant for order-related billing on the basis of the order quantity) in Customizing, the system includes the order in the billing due list immediately. If, however, the indicator has been set to F (relevant to order-related billing on the basis of the invoice quantity), the system does not include the order in the billing due list until an invoice from the vendor has been received and processed by the purchasing department. In the standard system, item category TAS (third-party order processing) has been given billing-relevance indicator F.
In the first case, the third-party order is considered to be completely billed only when the invoiced quantity equals the order quantity of the sales order item. In the second case, each time a vendor invoice is received, a customer invoice is created for the quantity in the vendor invoice and the order is considered to be fully invoiced until the next vendor invoice is received.
If you have activated billing-relevance indicator F for item categories in Customizing, billing can refer to the goods receipt quantity instead of the incoming invoice quantity.
You can control whether the invoice receipt quantity or the quantity of goods received is relevant for billing in Customizing for copying control for billing at item level.
FOR YOUR PROCESS Individual Purchase Orders WELL GIVE THE RIGHT SOLUTION
Individual purchase orders are used when your customer orders goods from you that are not in stock and must be ordered from one or more external vendors.
    Process Flow
During sales order entry, the system automatically creates a purchase requisition item. The purchasing department creates a purchase order based on the requisition and the vendor ships the goods directly to you (unlike third party order processing, where the vendor ships directly to your customer). You then ship the goods to your customer. While the goods are part of your inventory, you manage them as part of the sales order stock. Sales order stock consists of stock that is assigned to specific sales orders and cannot be used for other purposes.
Process Flow for 3rd Party Sales
Customize the third party sales in summary:
    Prerequisites for 3rd party sales,
    Purchasing org,
    purchasing group,
assign the Purchase org to company code
    assign Purchase org to plant,
should not maintain the stock in material, it should be trading goods,
    1. Create Vendor XK01
    2. Create Material – Material Type as "Trading Goods". Item category group as "BANS".
    3. Assign Item Category TAS to Order type that you are going to use.
    4. A sale order is created and when saved a PR is generated at the background
    5. With reference to SO a PO is created (ME21N). The company raises PO to the vendor.
    6. Vendor delivers the goods and raises bill to company. MM receives the invoice MIRO
    7. Goods receipt MIGO
    8. Goods issue
    9. The item cat TAS or Schedule line cat CS is not relevant for delivery which is evident from the config and, therefore, there is no delivery process attached in the whole process of Third party sales.
