Product category creation and g/l account assignment updation

Hi all,
I have created new product categories and updated g/l account assignment table for the same. The process i have followed is as follows: -
1. created material groups in R/3 (transport request moved from DEV to QA)
2. replicated the same in EBP through R3AS t-code for DNL_CUST_PROD1 object
3. updated product categories, account assignment category and g/l account  assignment table in EBP customization through SPRO(transport request moved from DEV to QA)
After these steps, when i tried creating shopping cart in EBP QA and entered newly created product category, assigned G/L account is appearing in cost assignment tab successfully. But if older product category is selected, assigned G/L account is not popping up and error message " No G/L account entered, enter G/L account" is generated.
When i checked BBP_DET_ACCOUNT table, all entries including older as well as newly created product categories exist along with assigned G/L accounts.
Please if anybody can suggest a way out or reason for the same.
Moreover please let me know whether I am following correct method to add product categories to existing list.

Hi Ravi,
Are you sure you have the good log_sys in your table ?
In other words logical system in DEV = logical system in QA ?
Be careful to not copy product category guid from DEV to QA !
The product category guid (unique identifier) is system client dependant...
A manual assignment in QA is necessary.

    I know that it is the old thread but still want to get clarified from you out of curiosity.
    Unlike other IDOC, i actiavated change pointers for LOIPRO
    1.message and idoc type is linked
    2.function module , message type , idoc type is linked
    function module used is CLOI_MASTERIDOC_CREATE_LOIPRO
    3.BD64, distribution model is created and distributed
    4. port and partner profile is in place.
    5. IDOC is not getting generated after creating the process order.
    do we need to activate the change documents for the message type in BD52,
    if yes can you please provide the object types for the same.
    or i am missing something else. please guide me in this regards.

  • Business partner account assignment and G/L account assignment different

    Hello Experts,
    I am facing the issue of "Business partner account assignment and G/L account assignment different" Message no. FKKFMCHK039, while I am processing the Check lot (FP25).
    Notable points are:
    01) We are using the functionality of Interest, if customer pays the outstanding after due date, payment will post the interest on the outstanding;
    02) I cross checked the account balance of business partners for which I am facing this problem, if payment amount is more then the outstanding balance then only we are facing this error, however under clarification processing if we post the payment with option of Post on account , payments are getting posted.

    If you select Account Assignment Category as "Q" then the time of GR, it will post the Materials received value to stock account and will update stock of material against the Project.
    In OME9, here for Account Assignment Category "Q", check field Consumption posting has value as "P" (Accounting via project), that means stock account will get determined from OBYC for Account Key BSX

  • Creation of PO with account assignment:Q

    During creation of purchase order with account assignment category: Q, consumption GL account is getting triggered instead of Project Stock GL Account. What could be the reason for this?

    Check what account modification key is assigned to account assignment category 'Q'.
    T-code: OLME
    Purchasing --> Account Assignment --> Maintain Account Assignment Category
    Select the Account Assignment Category 'Q' and click on the details button.
    Check the Consumption Posting (P) , Account Modification key (VBR)  and the Special Stock field (Q).
    Depending upon the Account Modification Key, System picks the G/L from the OBYC (GBB) Setting (Tcode - OBYC).

  • Run time error while running BDC for production order creation and confirmation:

    Dear Gurus,
    We have a situation, where the users are trying to do the entries creation of order or confirmation (through manual and BDC). But, if there is any kind of a deficit quantities in consumption or GR quantity, then it is going to run time error and Dumps are coming in program SAPLCORB
    and the transaction code is coming for CO11N.
    How to avoid this error to run the production system in smoothing way...Any flash lights on this will be great full

    Expert Caetano has rightly point out. Refer Note 1840705 - RAISE_EXCEPTION short dump if running CO11N in background
    Cause
    The short dump is triggered because SAP transaction CO11N contains new GUI elements that cannot always be dealt with in a background process,
    such as the confirmation texts.
    Resolution
    SAP recommends that the standard production order BAPIs, such as BAPI_PRODORDCONF_CREATE_TT, should be used to post a confirmation in background.
    If this is not feasible, the following workaround may be uses:
    Define a confirmation profile in transaction OPK0; 
    In the detail areas, remove the area "Confirmation text"; 
    Set this profile as standard, so that it is chosen automatically by the system when a batch-job
    is started; 
    Assign this confirmation profile to the batch user with transaction SU3 using parameter CORUPROF.

    Refer to note 1154692 - Endless loop during confirmation in background if you doing Auto GR during confirmations

    At the time of creating Financial Report Templates, these templates can be very time consuming and tedious to create, as for the inputting of accounts within each account category - filling out one or more details...
    It would be helpful to have some kind of tool in which we could associate like in the GL all the sub accounts withing that account.

    I'm agree with your post, all my customer are very angry with this functionality because the want use wildcards for input the account, if i input 71* the template will show all account which begin with 71.
    Now when they create a new account into the financial plan of accounts they must create also into the report templates and this work is hard and spend a lost time in it.

  • Automatic production order creation and confirmation

    Dear all,
    I am in a situation where i have to configure the SAP system in the following ways:
    1. From the planned orders automatically production order should be created today for the next day production and the end user will re-declare the quantity if there are any changes in the production order.
    2. If there are no re declarations to be done SAP should automatically release production order and save it.
    3. After the goods are produced the confirmation of the order should happen automatically from the measuring points.
    4. In the order confirmation, the storage location for goods issue should be automatically captured from the goods issue slip.
    5.After the confirmation of the order the goods receipt should happen automatically.
    Please suggest me whether these are possible in SAP or not.  If yes please tell me the procedure.

    actually my scenario is:
    Finished good= x
    work centers involved = WC1, WC2.
    HERE BOTH THE WORK CENTERS ARE IDENTICAL, INPUTS ARE SAME AND OUTPUT IS THE FINISHED GOOD "X"  FOR BOTH THE WORK CENTERS.
    I HAVE A ROUTING FOR THE FINISHED GOOD "X" WITH TWO GROUP COUNTERS AS (1)WC1 AND (2) WC2
    When i create plan in md61 for 1 month and when i do mrp run in md02 it will create the planned orders and we can see the stock requirements in md04 and when we double click on the planned order we can convert them into production orders.
    But my users requirement is, he want to run the mrp in md01 and after that automatically each day the production order should be created.
    example with the above work centers and materials:-
    i have done the mrp run for "x" for November and December months
    i want to produce "x" of 200 kg on 30.11.2011.
    so SAP should generate production order for WC1 AS 100KG AND WC2 AS 100KG on 29.11.2011 at 5 pm automatically  and the user will release the order.
    similar example:-
    i have done the mrp run for "x" for November and December months
    i want to produce "x" of 400 kg on 03.12.2011.
    so SAP should generate production order FOR WC1 AS 200KG AND WC2 AS 200KG on 02.12.2011 at 5 pm automatically and the user will release the order.
    Please suggest me how to do the configure settings for my users requirement.

  • GL Account/Product category mapping not working in transported client

    We have implemented SRM 5 and an Ecc 6.0 backend.
    We have transported the GL Account /Product category mapping config from the DEV client to the Quality client. In the quality client we run BDLS to set the correct backend system for the GL account/product category mapping.
    When we create a shopping cart, GL accounts are not determined. We have noticed that in table BBP_DET_ACCOUNT, the backend system is still pointing to the DEV client backend system not the quality client backend system. Why is this?
    Do we have to always manually reset this config in every client that we transport this table if we have new or changed entries?

  • SRM7.0 Multiple  G/L account assignment for a product category

    In SRM7.0 , it is possible to maintain multiple G/L accounts for a prodict category and account assignment combination. For example , for a product Category XX and account assignment CC , we can maintain more than one G/L account with one G/L as default. While creating the Shopping Cart , the G/L account is defaulted. However when we do F4 search on the G/L , then system is bringing all the G/L accounts from the backend through the search help from ECC. In that case what is the use of maintaining multiple G/L accounts in the SRM configuration? Is there any other config that is reqd? We thought system would restrict to those G/L account that are maintained in the config.

  • Product category  account assignment relation

    Hi Experts,
    I have deleted a relation between a product cat 1234311 with WBS in the spro configuration.  when i am trying to create a SC with the same product cat 1234311 with WBS element. system is not giving any error message and it allowing me to create a SC in the system. 
    Could you some suggest me on this.  our requiremnt is that for the product cat 1234311 users should not be able to use WBS while creating a SC.

    Hi Satish,
    Please use BADI - BBP_DOC_CHECK_BADI to validate the required fields and throw error messages in case particular account assignment category is used with regards to a concerned product category.
    The product category and account assignment combination is maintained to pick the account assignment details by default if a particular product category is used.
    The system do not throw any error messages until and unless the account assignment details used are valid.
    Hope this clarifies you and helps in resolving your issue.

  • Ability to modify Account Assignment Category for Service Item Categories

    Dear experts,
    Our customer has a requirement to modify the account assignment category when the item category is set to "D" services on a PR and PO line item. This scenario is specific to indirect procurement scenarios in SAP ECC 6.0 MM.
    End users may potentially create a PR against a service item category with an incorrect account assignment category. These PRs are created using free form text. No service master exists in these scenarios. During the approval process or during PO creation, an approver or the buyer may need to correct the account assignment category. The account assignment category is "display" only and cannot be modified when the item category is set to "D". The user must delete the line item and create a new line item with the correct account assignment category. The copy function cannot be used because the account assignment copies from the existing line and cannot be modified.
    Any recommendations to this issue using standard SAP configuration solutions?

    Item Category to Account Assignment Category combination is already configured. For Service Item Category, we have three account assignment categories configured. All three categories are valid in different scenarios. Sometimes the user selects the incorrect account assignment category (out of the three available) depending on the business scenario. PT9F configuration is already set to Account Assignment category "optional". However, the account assignment category still cannot be modified on the PR when the item category is "D" service.
    Any other recommendations?

  • Account assignment question (for subcontracting item category)

    Hello
    Is it possible to have a account assignment category with a consumption posting indicator V work with a subcontracting item category L?
    Our scenario is that a SD item category TAB auto generates a Subcontracting PO with account assignment M and item category L.
    The problem with account assignment M is that it references sales order, and does not propose BOM component material/quantity, like a standalone subcontracting movement (541 reference to PO)
    We want to issue components to the subcontractor referencing a PO, and maintain visibility thru ME2O (Which account assignment M wont allow).
    Is this possible ?
    I tried tweaking the account assignment category M by changing the consumption posting indicator to V.
    This allowed me to do the subcontracting issue 541 movement referencing a PO.
    However, I got 2 accounting errors at MIGO.
    No direct postings possible to G/L account 03-010
    I then changed the FS00 settings to allow direct postings, but got the next error and was stuck. I guess if these accounts are postable, my problem is solved but I don’t know how to do that!
    Acct. 03-010 for trans./event key BSX, postable directly
    If anyone is knowledgeable on account assignments or knows how I can solve these, I would greatly appreciate your input.

    Let me clarify, the SAP error I am receiving is at MIGO, following the successful transfer posting at MB1B (mtype 541 referencing the PO number. If I can get the proper account postings at MIGO (as in a standalone MM subcon scenario) here, my problem is resolved.
    When I hit post at MIGO (Finished Product mov type +101/Component reduction is -543 O) I receive the error "Acct. 03-010 for trans./event key BSX, postable directly " I then goto FS00 (G/L accounts) and uncheck the 'post automatically only' box. But then when I goto re-post at MIGO, I get the message
    "No direct postings possible to G/L account 03-010"
    So I am stuck in this circular error.
    Is this correctable?

    Hi,
    In a purchase order item you mension account assignment category means that it is for consumption.The stock and value are directly posted to the account assignment you mentionedat the time GR.
    And when you are assigning a account assignment catagory you need to mension which account(GL account) of the account assignment.We canot avoid assigning a GL account and maintain the material in stock and value using account assignment category.
