Product image/color swap?

I'm getting ready to start working on a flash project that I
would like to work just like
this.
However, I would be using dog collars. I'm having a lot of
difficulty finding a tutorial that shows how to go about changing
the color of the product when you click on the squares. Ideally,
I'd like a link to such a tutorial if one exists.
Could someone tell me how this is being done these days? I
know the long way would be making a button for each color and have
an image for each color. I think that there is an easier and more
flexible way of doing it, but just don't know where to find it.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks,
jay

I have made a little progress on this since I last posted,
and I'm hoping to get some help with the actionscript. I found a
thread posted
here
that was pretty close to what I was looking for.
I altered the files that they have to use my images. Here are
my
files. So I have
the transitions working for colors. Just as a test I tried to
duplicate their example by applying it to my images. That much
worked, but I wanted to try adding a second set of buttons that
will eventually change the pattern, but right now I'm just using a
second set of collars which represent "patterns". I'm not having
any luck getting them both to function together though. As I said
colors work, but when I try to change the other buttons they don't
work. When I click the pattern buttons, it also reverts the color
of the main image in the colors section back to neutral.
Could someone look over the code and see if they can give me
some insight as to what is wrong? Thanks!

  • How to create a trigger 'onclick' on one image to change another image with swap?

    I need some help with behavior 'onclick'.
    I have a webpage which has a plat of several home lots.  Next to the plat is a map of the general location of the town.  What I want to do is this...
    When the user "clicks" on a particular lot, the map picture will be swapped out for a picture of the view from that lot.
    When the user "clicks" again on the view of the lot, the image will swap back to the map of the town location.
    I have already done the map imaging for each of the lots. I have tried using the behaviors panel but when I choose "onclick" set my images and then test,
    it always defaults to "mouseover".  I don't want 'mouseover', I want click.
    Here is my code so far.   Oh, I am using Dreamweaver CS6
    Thank you so much for any information.

    I am too new I guess, because your link was not helpful at all.  Maybe by looking at this you can help.  With this code, I have a picture that swaps with pic of lot6 on mouseover and returns to orig. pic on mouseout.  I have created a hotspot for each lot using image maps.  I would like to have this happen.  Mouseover lot6 hotspot to have images swap as they do here with this code.
    Thanks for any help you can give.

  • Adobe Employees: View Tools Print Production Convert Colors

    Totally don't get your View> Tools> Print Production> Convert Colors dialog.
    I would expect that if it was working that all Tagged files (left column) would display correctly.
    But in every test it appears all that happens is my profiles are stripped.
    Can you possibly let me know what I may be missing as no one else seems to be able to?
    Here is my control .pdf download:
    gballard.net/photoshop/pdi_download/PDI_Color_Profile_Test.pdf
    Here is how it displays Acrobat Pro 10.1.5 (as expected):
    Left column is Taggged as noted (displays proper as expected).
    Right column is Untaggged as noted (displays unmanaged).

    i had a revelation slugging this out:
    Acrobat Print Production> Convert Colors behaves nothing like i expected (accurately transforming Tagged source colors to a Destination profile)
    i am still interested if this is possible, but this is what i believe is happening (and it is easily proven in Photoshop on the monitor)
    During Acrobat's "Convert Colors" process (using my conversion settings):
    Acrobat IGNORES the profiles embedded in my RGB images.
    Acrobat "Assumes" its Working RGB profile (on all Tagged/Untagged images) and then
    Acrobat "Converts" everything to the Destination profile and embeds that profile.
    Here are my Acrobat Color Settings (Working RGB is ProPhoto RGB):
    Here is how those settings display my original .pdf:
    Note: This is totally predictable and how Photoshop displays Tagged and Untagged color (Photoshop properly "Converts" or transforms Tagged color to the monitor profile; and Photoshop, like Acrobat, "Assumes" its Working space on Untagged colors).  That means the left column containing all Tagged images are displaying the same as Photoshop, and the right column of Untagged images are each uniquely different.  In fact, the Untagged ProPhoto RGB is the only Untagged image displaying proper because Acrobat made the proper Assumption.
    Here are my Acrobat Convert Colors settings (my best guess for a simple Source> Destination conversion):
    Here is the result using the above Working RGB and Convert Colors settings:
    Note: This is crystal clear.
    To prove it in Photoshop one would merely have to open each of the original 10 files and Assign ProPhoto RGB to each file, then Convert each one of them to WhackedRGB (and this is exactly what I would expect to see).
    And here's the proof:
    I dragged the Converted .pdf into Photoshop and "Used the embedded Profile" (Whacked RGB) to open the ProPhotoRGB image -- as you can see -- Acrobat made a proper conversion to Whacked RGB, correctly embedded the Destination profile, and is displaying it proper.
    i am still really interested if Acrobat is capable of properly Converting multiple Tagged elements to a single tagged Destination profile -- i.e., my five tagged images in the left column display properly (like Photoshop displays them)...
    PS: I did the exact same series of tests/screenshots using WhackedRGB as my Acrobat Working RGB -- the results were as predicted (Whacked RGB was the only source space that properly converted).

  • In BC, how can I remove the large space above the product images?

    Hi, I'm having a problem with the product pages in Business Catalyst. There is a large space that appears between the breadcrumb trail and the first row of product images (small product page) and between the breadcrumb trail and the information on the large product page.
    I have run through the stylesheets (base.css, layout.css, and ModuleStyleSheets.css) and changed numbers for anything that looked like it might control that space. I adjusted the css in my files too. Absolutely nothing made any difference.
    And even worse, a scroll bar apears on the right side of the div. The div is set to auto height and grows to accept anything put in it. If I remove all the images, the scroll bar goes away, but if I only remove the breadcrumb, the scroll bar stays. Because of this, I suspect there is a margin setting on the div that holds the images that is forcing the page length beyond what the div sees. But can I find it? No.
    I find nothing in the Overall Layout Shop Module Template:
    <blockquote style="margin: 0px 0px 0px 20px; border: none; padding: 0px;">
    <div class="shop-main clear">
    <div class="body clear"><span style="font-size: 14px; font-family: verdana;"><strong>You are viewing the</strong></span> {tag_cataloguebreadcrumbs}</div>
    </div>
    </blockquote>
    <div class="shop-main clear">
    <div class="header clear">
    </div>
    <div class="body clear">{tag_cataloguelist,3,,,,true} {tag_productlist,3}<br />
    <div class="footer clear">{tag_previouspage,<img alt="" src="/CatalystImages/module_previous.png" />} {tag_nextpage,<img alt="" src="/CatalystImages/module_next.png" />}</div>
    </div>
    </div>
    (I could find no class for shop-main in any stylesheet. Changing any header class had no effect.)
    Nothing on the page template would account for this:
    <div id="right">
            <div id="store-banner-rings"><img src="../jpegs/store-background-rings.png" width="730" height="55" alt="&lt;empty&gt;" /></div>
            <!--end store banner-->
            <div id="store-background">
            {tag_pagecontent}
            </div><!--end store background-->
    </div><!--end right-->
    The page template with no page content looks like this:
    No big space! No scrollbar.
    It's that product table, gotta be. Can anyone tell me which css style to change to get rid of the large top margin and that hideous scroll bar? Or should I write a new one? To which section do I apply it?
    I appreciate any help and thank you very much for your time in advance.
    Sincerely, Ahurani

    Just Johnny,
    Thank you so much for answering. This big space is the last problem and I can't seem to find the code to fix it.
    The link is for whimsicalley02.businesscatalyst.com.
    Right now, the Harry Potter store is the best one to view. I haven't hooked up the others.
    If you can find the problem, I'd be very happy. I have commented a lot of the ModuleStyle css because I kept reinserting changes to the same code and that's how I stopped myself. I've taken out some of the comments, but the code is still festooned with them.
    Thank you for your help,
    Ahurani

  • Image Colors Change in Bridge Preview Window

    I edited some images first in Camera Raw and then Photoshop (CS5), all working in sRGB color space, and saved them as JPEGs.  If I select one of these images in the Bridge content pane, minimize the Bridge window, then maximize the Bridge window, the image appears correctly in the Bridge content pane but the colors are incorrect in the Bridge preview pane.  If I resize the view in the content pane, the image colors in the preview pane get corrected within a couple seconds.  Likewise, if I click on another image and then back, the image colors are correct in the preview pane, but if I again minimize then maximize the Bridge window, the image colors in the preview pane are incorrect again.
    Windows Explorer displays the image colors correctly.  ZoomBrowserEX (browser software provided with Canon camera) displays the same image (same file) with incorrect colors.  When I upload these JPEGs to my web photohosting site (PictureTrail), the images appear there with incorrect colors.  That is where this issue becomes most problematic because with the colors being off, the images are useless for posting to online forums or classifieds.
    It seems that the color in the JPEG is being read differently by different software, and is even being read differently under different circumstances within Photoshop (Bridge).  Is there a setting somewhere that I need to change?  Or some other issue?  Thanks.....

    I have a fair understanding of color profiles and color management.  My monitor is a Dell UltraSharp U3011 set to the factory-calibrated sRGB display mode.
    What makes me certain that this is not a simple matter of different color management in different applications is that Bridge is displaying the same JPEG file/image in two panes on the screen simultaneously and the colors do not match.  Furthermore, the incorrect colors in the preview pane image change to the correct colors if I resize the thumbnails in the content pane, or click on another image and then back; and the colors in the preview pane go back to incorrect if I minimize then maximize the Bridge window.  Seems to me that there must be something within that JPEG that is being interpreted differently in different circumstances that results in the "two versions" displayed within the same application (Bridge) on the same screen at the same time, and that other apps are interpreting one way or the other.
    Message was edited by: BoaMorph1
    Exploring a bit further, I've realized that the same color display issue exists with the original JPEGs from my camera (Canon T1i, shooting in sRGB color space).  So it seems the issue did not originate with settings etc. in Photoshop.... but Photoshop (Bridge) IS displaying "two versions" on same screen at same time, and so must be doing something different with the JPEG info in one pane vs. the other.

  • Problem with a product image/pdf production in Indesign CS5

    Hi,
    this problem probably has an obvious solution, but I can't figure it out due to my limited experience in using Indesign. I'm trying to export my poster lay-out as pdf, but one of the several product images does not show up in the exporte pdf correctly. Instead of a product image, I only get this white image that is similar to the shape of the product image, but the actual product image is not visible. The product image is a .psd -file and it shows correctly in InDesign document, but not in the exported .pdf file. Could somebody help me to tackle this problem?
    BR,
    Masa

    Hi,
    - It shows in the preview mode
    - I'm using only one layer in the layout with all the images on it
    - The image is not non-printing in the Attributes panel
    - Links have no errors and theya re up to date
    When I create the PDF via FILE > PRINT, then the problem does not occur, but I have another problem with white margins on both top and bottom of the .pdf-file. ¨
    I still would like to create the pdf via Export.
    Thank you for your quick  reply, what's next?

The image looked okay when I view the form in print preview but when it is printed the image colors are reversed (a black box at the back for the size of the image and the logo is white). I tried to search the SDN but could not find any solutions. Can somebody help? thanks.

  • Color Swap Between Libraries: Is this Possible?

    I work with a large number of Illustrator files daily that all use the Pantone Solid Coated library for their swatch color scheme. This color library will be used whether customers provide the art pieces or if I design the pieces for them.
    However, I have found that in order to best match our digital press we must to convert the inks to the Pantone Color Bridge CMYK PC library before printing.
    Basically the same color number just the different library (eg  PMS 200C would convert to PMS 200PC if outputing in-house to the digital press).
    My question - is it possible to create a script that would swap out all the colors in a document (that are in a specific library) with the same colors from a different library?
    *More specifically what I am wanting to do is if I have a document that has a dozen solid coated colors swap them for their same numerical equivelant in the Color Bridge CMYK PC library.
    - Thanks

    Depending on how much work you're trying to save, this script might help. The difficulty lies in that you have to break down the new Pantone into CMYK values to be able to script the color change. I created this script to swap out a Pantone swatch in over 100 files for me. So it's probably not worth the effort for just a few files, but for a larger batch it could be helpful:
    var myOriginalColor = "PANTONE 1395 U"; //The name of the swatch you want to change
    var myNewColor = "PANTONE 620 U"; //The name of the color you are swapping in
    var myNewColorDetails = new CMYKColor(); //CMYK values for the new color
    myNewColorDetails.cyan = 44.5960164070129;
    myNewColorDetails.magenta = 40.0823950767517;
    myNewColorDetails.yellow = 81.8265020847321;
    myNewColorDetails.black = 14.1054391860962;
    var myDocument = app.activeDocument;
    var myNumberSwatches = myDocument.swatches.length;
        for (var j=0; j<myNumberSwatches; j++) //Checks to see if my new color already exists as a swatch and deletes it if it does exist
                var mySwatchIndex = myDocument.swatches[j];
                   if (mySwatchIndex.name == myNewColor)
                        var myCheckSwatch = myDocument.swatches.getByName(myNewColor);
                        myCheckSwatch.remove();
                        j = myNumberSwatches;
        var mySwatch = myDocument.swatches.getByName(myOriginalColor); //Grabs the swatch that is being replaced
        mySwatch.color.spot.color = myNewColorDetails; //changes the swatch to the new color
        mySwatch.name = myNewColor; //renames the swatch to match its color

  • CS3 VB "Image color settings"

    Hi,
    Can anyone tell me where I can set the icc profile on an InDesign.Image object?  This would be like setting the "Profile" on indesigns "Image Color Settings" dialog.  I've found the rendering intent (ImageRenderingIntent), but not "Profile".
    Thanks!

    Actually now that I look at your problem a little closer, I think you need something different from what you're asking for.
    You are importing a CMYK image with a 340 TIL. You mention you need it to be Document CMYK, which is a different GCR CMYK from the image. In such case it is good that the image has the profile imported with it.
    Output using one of the PDF/X standards. Select "Convert to Destination" without the preserve numbers. Document CMYK.
    Native InDesign colors will not be converted. The LCP MaxK 340 will be converted to your Document CMYK.
    Bottom line: if the images need to be in the Document CMYK color space, and you want InDesign to get them there, they must undergo the conversion when you output the PDF.

  • ID CS3 - Cannot change image color (imported using "Place")

    Hello. I'm using ID CS3, Windows XP, SP3.
    I am new to ID CS3, coming from PageMaker 6.5, and when I converted one of our brochures, everything looked great. In fact, we have some images that are tif's (I think this means it's a bitmap). The images are black and white (they are apples). Our print process is Black and a Spot Color, so the apple images are the spot color.
    The converted PageMaker6.5 apples are great, they are the spot color, and when I change the spot color, they change too. If I add a new apple image through the Place command, even the exact same file, it imports as black and white, not with the spot color. In PageMaker6.5, this is how it worked, and then I would select the image and then select the spot color. In CS3, when I select the image, and select the color, it either colors the stroke or fill. Obviously I don't want the stroke, and the fill doesn't affect the apple, only the white behind the apple, so I end up with a still black apple on a colored background in the rest of the frame.
    What I want is:
    Background: Paper or None
    Apple: Spot Color (at this point, any color would be fine)
    I have tried applying styles, object/character/paragraph, I have tried the Object->Image Color Setting as found on Adobe help area, except this option is grayed out. I have tried Place, and while selecting the file, selecting "Show Import Options" but it grays out all options when the pop-up box appears. I can't figure out what else to do.
    Also, I can't change the PageMaker6.5 apples to any other color, they are stuck on spot color.
    The problem seems to be I am not targeting the black part of the image itself, yet I can not figure out how to do so. The images are made in Photoshop 6. Thank you for any help you can give (I also have an import jpg file, which has the exact problem of any color changes are to the white background (fill) or the stroke. But again I am unable to change the black part of the image).

    Thanks, in an odd way it worked...
    I dragged like you said. The entire frame became the Spot Color (meaning I could no longer see anything but a large solid block of Green). So I went to Edit->Undo, and it undid the large solid block of green, leaving the previously black image now green, exactly what I wanted. While I don't understand why the Undo command fixed it, I'm happy with the results.
    Thanks.
    Edit - I did it again to another apple, this time it worked perfectly without the undo command. The first time, my cursor became a hand. The second time, it stayed an arrow with a small block under it. Regardless of what happened the first time, thanks again.

  • Image color problem on screen

    For no apparant reason, some of the images on my computer screen are coming up in odd, bright colors similar to a negative, but not complete. It happens to images I open on indepenedent web sites and images stored on my computer. When I open some images in Photoshop5, it asks if I want to discard the embedded profile. If I answer yes, the image displays fine. If I answer No, the image colors are distorted. This problem persists on my laptop screen and on the monitor attached to laptop.

    Long and short answer: Your images are screwed. Some not so clever person embedded monitor profiles or otehr damaged/ unsuitable profiles into them and the resulting color correction whacks out your stuff. Or in reverse, you have screwy color management settings on your end. No matter what, you need to fix it. Short primer here:
    My colors look different outside Photoshop.
    IUf the embeded profiles in the files are the problem, each and everyone of them will have to be opened and stripped of the offending color profile information...

  • How to quickly place tiles and make color swaps

    So, I have prepared a sheet of tiles which can be seen here (unfinished):
    http://www.sigvatr.com/junk/tiles.png
    My plan is to create an applet which contains a method of drawing tiles from this tile sheet sort of like a string. Basically, the way it will work will be to take some input in the form of a string, but with some special characters that do not appear in the string but denote a color swap on one of the 3 color types that are shown in the tile sheet, and then draw the string at an x,y coordinate on screen. This could be used to draw a single character or an entire string anywhere the player wants on the screen.
    I will get around to text wrapping at some later stage but I will probably make a seperate method to do that specifically.
    Anyway, the tile sheet contains 4 colors, black, red, green and blue. The black probably will not change at any point in the game, but I need to provide some kind of way in this function to swap each of the red, green or blue colors to any other color of my choice.
    Does anyone have any recommendations as to what parts of the API I could use or if a library has been written to achieve something like this?
    Thanks :)

    Let param="red"
    Class cls = Class.forName("java.awt.Color");
    java.lang.reflect.Field fld = cls.getDeclaredField(param);
    Color clr = (Color)fld.get(null);
    You can use this 'clr' variable as you wish.

  • Image Color Settings Default

    Hi, I’m having a problem with color profiles. When importing images through bridge into one of my Indesign documents the Image color setting is defaulted to the color profile of my image that I am importing. When I start a new document the default setting is “Use Document Default”. You can access this setting by right clicking on an image box in Indesign and going to Graphics -> Image Color Settings.
    Why is the default import option for the color profile different for just that one document and how do I get it to always import with “Use Document Default”.
    This is causing problems when we send our file to press because we are using GCR on the images and not having “Use Document Default” set is separation problems.
    I’m running:
    Windows XP
    Creative Suite Cs3

  • How to change Image color like Channel mixer

    Hello everybody
    I have this problem can anyone help me:
    I want to change Channel mixer color,
    for example, change original Image color to B&W.
    My code:
    docRef.channels[0].color.rgb.red = 30;
    docRef.channels[0].color.rgb.green = 59;
    docRef.channels[0].color.rgb.blue = 11;
    docRef.channels[1].color.rgb.red = 30;
    docRef.channels[1].color.rgb.green = 59;
    docRef.channels[1].color.rgb.blue = 11;
    docRef.channels[2].color.rgb.red = 30;
    docRef.channels[2].color.rgb.green = 59;
    docRef.channels[2].color.rgb.blue = 11;
    But not working in scripting, seems a mistake.
    How should I correct this code? Thank you for your help.

    Hi Michael,
    I try changed 12 parameters in array of num in my js,
    doc.layers[0].mixChannels([[30,59,11,0],[30,59,11,0],[30,59,11,0]],false);
    doc.layers[0].mixChannels([[30,59,11,0]],true); ------  this way is better than ↑
    doc.layers[0].mixChannels([[60,30,10,0],[30,10,60,0],[10,60,30,0]],false);
    doc.layers[0].mixChannels([[39,77,19,0],[35,69,17,0],[27,53,13,0]],false);
    They would show new color as I wantted,
    I forgot ' When monochrome = true, the maximum number of channel value specifications is 1. '
    Thank you for your recommendation.
