Product  Proposal in CRM 4.0

Hello everybody,
Just for information I would like to know something please :
In R/3 SD we use product proposal from tables VBPV and VBPK while creating sales documents for our customers.
We would like to use just the same in our CRM and Mobile Sales environnement.
So I would like to know if there is a way to download those tables (who make the link partner/product accroding to what a partner already ordered and doesn't contain exactly the same than a PPR created in CRM which assigns a product to a group as we use for TOPN for example) to CRM or do I have to do specific work for this ?
Thank you for your reply !

  • Product Proposal from IBase / iObject  in Service Order

    Hello Experts
We are looking for product proposal in CRM Service Order (in CRM 2007).
The product proposal should propose the IBase components (products maintained under IBase > iObject ). The IBase and iObject is maintained in Service Order header.
    Here is the IBase structure:
    >IBase
    >>Object ABC
    >>>Product 1 > Qty 10
    >>>Product 2 > Qty 20
    >>>Product 3 > Qty 30
Now the Products 1,2 and 3 should be proposed with respective quantity when Object ABC is entered in Service order.
I hope the requirement is clear.

  • Product Proposal in ERP Sales Order.

    Hi Guys,
We are panning to use product proposal (PP) in ERP sales order and we are facing some challenges to fetch Price and Availability in the PP view.
Does anybody integrated PP with ERP sales order? Please provide detailed steps if any.
Please share your experience and steps to integrate this scenario.
To obtain price in PP, do we need to maintain pricing in CRM?
For availability information in PP, do we need to connect to APO? or the gATP/Availability happens via ECC to APO?
Please shed some light on this subject.
    Thanks
    Shree

    HI Shree,
You dont have to maintain price in crm to get price in product proposals, pricing in ERP is enough for price to get populated.
For availibilty check for PP you have to maintain MRP type in material master for the products which gets populated in PP and have to maintain ATP Profile at item level.
One setting which needs to be maintained in crm is
goto spro->CRM->Transactions->Settings for ERP Transactions Maintained via CRM->Product Proposals->Assign Method schema to ERP transaction Type.
Here give the sales Org, Transaction Type and Method schema.
Please let me know if you need more information on this.
    Best Regards,

    I think I deserve 10 points...
    1     Optional Configuration
    1.1     Product Proposals
Product proposals can be defined for certain target groups and marketing profiles, so that the appropriate product proposals are only applied if the business partners that select these products belong to a certain target group or if they correspond to the marketing profile defined in the rule.
Based on a method schema that you have created in Customizing, you can define the product lists and product association rules that determine when the product proposal is displayed.
More details about settings for product proposals can be found in the CRM Master Data Configuration Guide.
1.1.1     Global Product Recommendations (Top N Lists)
This function allows you to offer the best seller to all customers who enter your Web shop, irrespective of the target group that they belong to.
Using a global target group as reference, certain products are proposed and presented in the form of a top-n product list. All Web Shop customers and visitors belong to the global target group.
    Prerequisites
Make the settings of section Marketing Master Data and Product Proposal in the CRM Master Data Configuration Guide:
Create a (dummy) target group (BP Global Product Recommendation).
Create a Top N List and assign the target group.
1.1.1.1     Assigning Target Group to Web Shop
    Use
If you want to offer your customers the opportunity to maintain a customer profile in the Web Shop, you have to assign an attribute set to your Web Shop.
    Procedure
    1.     Access the activity using the following navigation options:
    Webbrowser     Maintaining Web Shops
    URL     http://<host>:<port>/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do?scenario.xcm=<yourscenario>
Caution: The parameter <yourscenario> is case-sensitive!
    Example:
    http://pgwdf108:50100/shopadmin/shopadmin/init.do?scenario.xcm=CS8_120
    2.     Select a logon language, for example EN.
    3.     Logon to the Web Shop Management with the Web Shop Manager user/password.
    4.     Choose the link Existing Shops.
    5.     Either select a Scenario (for example, Internet Sales B2B or Internet Sales B2C) and enter a search term or choose Display all.
    6.     Select one of your Web Shops (for example, B2B_SHOP or B2C_SHOP) by clicking on the respective hyperlink.
    7.     Go to the Marketing tab and choose Change.
    8.     Set the checkbox in area Global Product Recommendation. A new field Target Group for Product Recommendation appears.
    9.     You can either enter the name of the target group directly or search for attributes using the value help, for example
Target Group for Product Recommendation     BP Global Product Recommendation
    10.     Choose Save and then Cancel to go back to the shop selection.
    11.     If required, repeat the steps 3-8 for other Web shops.
    Result
In the Web Shop you will see the global production recommendation with the best-sold products.
    1.1.2     Personalized Product Recommendations
This function allows you to recommend top n products lists for customers depending on their assignment to a specific target group. These products are selected as being of interest to them.
    Prerequisites
According to CRM Master Data Configuration Guide sections Marketing Master Data and Product Proposal, the settings are made:
    •     Attributes
    •     Attributes Set
    •     Data source and attribute list
    •     Profile group with the criteria of the attribute list
    •     Top N list for personalized profile group

  • E-Commerce Product Proposal issue

    Hello, everybody.
This is a B2C e-Commerce scenario with Students enrolling for courses on a website. The goal is to leverage pre-existing SAP CRM e-Commerce functionality currently in use. But thre's a potential issue that could prevent the adoption of current SAP e-Commerce solution.
    -->Business Issue [PRODUCT PROPOSAL]
-Catalog Access & Views: Prior to a Student enrolling in Course, there is an Eligibility check that occurs which dictates the number and type of course offered to the Consumer/Student. --> Not all courses within the catalogue must be displayed: Some logic must be carried out in CRM, so that the allowed courses for the student should be passed to the webshop.
Is there any BAdI / user exit we can implement for solving this issue? eCommerce should pass CRM the logged on BP ID (or the user ID) so that, from this ID on, the logic can be executed in CRM. As inbound parameter, the BAdI / user exit should receive the allowed courses for this students, and display only these courses (instead of the whole catalogue).
Is there any other way to solve this? (configuration) We have already considered views, but we are afraid we have too many possible scenarios (hundreds?)
    Some backup information:
    -Number of courses: About 300
-Number of allowed courses per student (logic result): Between 2 and 8
-The whole courses catalogue is being renovated each year
    -->Business Impact
-The SAP e-Commerce application offers 2 basic business scenarios/flavors, BC2 and B2B. The  B2B option delivers the Catalog determination option and customized Catalog views per Business Partner. The B2C option makes the entire Catalog available to the Consumer on the Web-shop.
Besides this, there's an extra requirement:
    -->Business Issue
-Course Availability Display: In the event that a Student has qualified for a specific course/s, which has limited seats (already assigned), the System should indicate that the Course is exists, but there are no seats available (quantity = 0).
    -->Business Impact
-Showing the Courses availability as zero in the case where there are not enough available seats needs to be reviewed properly and scoped.
Thank you all for your cooperation. Best regards.

Have you checked the Marketing features, Product recommendation, Personalized Recommendation etc.? See if you can use Product Association and ranking to recommend products if you don't want to show the entire catalog..

  • How to enable Product Proposal to work in CRM7.

    Hi all,
We are looking into a solution in CRM7 to support displaying a list of the proposed items when user enters a BOM product on the Opportunity.
For example: The user would like to create an Opportunity with the Product A for 10 units.  On the Opportunity header, after the user enters the Product A # and clicks on the Product Proposal option, system will display a list of the proposed items (including the associated components for the Product A).  User will then select what component products that they want to place on the Opportunity.
I was told that if Product Proposal solution will work for the BOM product, but not sure beside having the product configured as a BOM, what else that we have to do to enable the solution to work in CRM.  Any information/configuration that you can share is highly appreciated.
Also, do you know if the Product Proposal will work with opportunity in CRM7?  I was told that it may only work with Quote and Sales Order.
    Thanks very much.

    Hi Hannah,
Product Proposal will not work in Opportunity. It will work only with Quotation and Orders.

  • Product proposal based on spare parts

We have a requirement in service InHouse repair order where the item where is the product to be repaired is selected and there have to be an action button to add a spare part. After adding the new item, the system have to show the product proposals not from the item to be repaired, but from the last spare part linked to it. Is there an standard action profile that do this? If not, can you suggest development options to do that?
    Thanks

    Hi Pablo
Product proposal for adding accessories in Service order  would be challenging.
    Please check:
IMG > CRM > Marketing > Product Proposals > Create Method Schema
There is a method schema for Accessories (000004)
IMG > CRM > Marketing > Product Proposals > IC Settings > Assign Product Proposal
Assign Method schema here to your Sales org
IMG > CRM > Business Roles > Define Business Role
Assign the Product Proposal profile to the IC Agent Role under assign function profiles dialog structure.
Also have a look at Badi CRM_PRODUCT_PROPOSAL_BADI
    hope this helps

  • Product Proposal in ISU

    Hi Experts,
Is anybody having document on Product Proposal in ISU, please share it.
In Product Proposal screen in SAP CRM 2007, There is a dropdown Customer Consumption and Start date. What is the significance and how it works.
    Regards,
    Ankush Singla

    Hello,
The following information may be of some help for you:
Settings for the product proposal in Customizing under SAP
Utilities -> Customer Service ->  CRM Integration -> Product Proposal.
The customer consumption segment is the basis for the product proposal. This is allocated to
a product catalog in the IMG. You can use customer-specific settings in the business add-in
to adjust the product proposal to meet your own requirements. For example, you can control
which products the system proposes based on the premise address or the customeru2019s credit
    rating.
Billing simulation allows agents to inform customers of upcoming bill amounts or budget billing
amounts. Billing of a sample contract with the selected product is also simulated in SAP IS-U.
All the Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) for the product proposal are grouped together in the
    enhancement spot ISU_PRODUCT_PROPOSAL.
    Search SE37 -> ISU_PRP*

  • Product Proposal default quanity

    Hi,
We are using product proposal, which is coming properly but with default qunaity as per actual material quantity which we have entered for Quotation, how to set default quantity for product proposal items, we want to set some fix quantity for different materials.
    Regards,
    Zafar

    Hi
Take a look at this document Product Proposal in SAP CRM
After that if you still want to change product quantities SAP recommends to use IF_PROPOSAL_CHANGE_BADI.
SPRO->CRM->Transactions->Settings for Sales Transactions->Business Add-Ins->BAdI: Changes for Product Proposals.
You can use this BAdI for the following:
Change the sorting of the proposed items (using the field SEQUENCE )
    Add or remove proposed items
    Change the proposed quantity
If proposal quantity is not coming from previous document you can always use the BADI.

  • Cross Selling vs Product proposal

    hello everyone,
i am confused between the above 2 concepts, what is the difference between them ,and why would one company uses for example cross selling instead of product proposal or vice versa. hope my question is clear.
    regards
    Dilip

    Hi Dilip,
Cross Selling is material specific. It means when you buy a pair of shoe for example the shopkeeper tries to offer you a pair of socks or shoe polish. It happens irrespective of the cusotmer who is buying it.
whereas Product Proposal / item Proposal is based on the customers buying behaviour. A home maker regularly buys products 1/2/3 from a shop. So the shop keeper keeps that in mind and when ever she comes he will remind her these products. In SAP we store that as part of item proposal so at the time of sales order entry it not only speeds up the process of entry but also ensures that the customer is buying those things.
A little furhter in CRM we have up selling and down selling.
    Up-selling
You can define other products that should be proposed if you sell a specific product.
If a business partner orders a fax machine, you u201Cup-sellu201D by proposing a more expensive, better-equipped version.
    Down-selling
Under certain circumstances, you may want to suggest a cheaper product or products as an alternative.
A telesales agent is able to view both more expensive (up-selling) and cheaper (down-selling) alternatives (depending on Customizing settings). As a rule, the agent will generally try to promote up-selling products to the customer, but to prevent a no-sale he/she may also be forced to propose down-selling alternatives instead. If you create up-selling and down-selling rules that are target group-specific, you can control for which business partners you generally want to perform up-selling, and for which down-selling.
    Hope the info helps you.

  • Defining New product type in CRM 5.0

    Hi Guys,
Can anyone tell me how to define new Product Type for CRM(Standalone Products) like material, Service, warranty, financing .
    Thanks in advance
    amar

    Hi Kovela,
I haven't come across any IMG activity which allows to create a new product type in CRM. Why do you want to have a separate product type. It is not so easy to create a product type because you also need to create additional attributes and set types. In general all existing product types are stored to table COMC_PR_TYPE. Also you need to maintain a separate structure (COMT_PROD_MAT_MAINTAIN_API) for each product type.
Why don;t you enhance the existing product type by creating new attributes and set types as per your requirement.

  • Product master in CRM and R/3

    Hi Gurus,
can anybody make my understanding clear regarding  the difference of product master in CRM and R/3. any links to know more on it will also help.
    Thank you in advance.
    Regards,
    sasmita

    Hi Sasmita,
Here are some of inputs will help for undersatnding:
<b>The CRM product master is a collection or arrangement of various settypes which contain specific data.</b>
Pre-defined settypes are delivered (e.g. basic product data; conversion of unit of measure)
Enhancement of the product master with own settypes is possible
    Settypes correspond to database tables
Attributes correspond to your product characteristics.
<b>Attributes can be summarized with the help of set types</b>
In the system there are standard set types which are always available. However, you can also create and implement user-defined set types, to depict marketing data, for example.
The usage of set types can be restricted (e.g. certain set types only allowed for products of type product) Distribution chain-dependent set types can be created.
A set type is only permissable for a product when the set type is assigned to the category to which you then assign the product. To assign a set type to a category, use the function Edit categories and hierarchies.
You can assign a set type to several product categories within a category hierarchy. However, each set type can only be assigned within one hierarchy. In doing so, a multiple assignment of a set type to one and the same product (over contrasting categories) is prevented.
A product can be assigned to several categories, as long as these are within different category hierarchies. A product can also be assigned to only one category per hierarchy.
The assignment to the base hierarchy R3PRODSTYP is vital, so that basic data set types are available, for example.
R3PRODSTYP depicts the product types present in the R/3 system.
Customer product numbers can be assigned. This Customer product ID is stored in the relationships
    Global Trade Item Number (GTIN)
Customer-own checks can be defined before a product can be saved. Enhancements &#61614; Consistency check

  • Product Variants in CRM from R/3

    Hi Everybody,
As you know that Product variant in CRM is material variant in R/3. A material variant is created when the available item is in stock.
    Scenario.
I created a configurable material 'KMAT' in the material master in R/3 system . In the basic data screen, I assigned a material variant for the material. Set the characteristics value for the material variant. Once pressed save. The Material record got automatically downloaded from R/3 to CRM.
Now I openend the transaction 'COMMPR01' and entered the material. I could not see in the tab 'Product variant' the material variant which was created in R/3.
1.Any Clue why the material variant did not get transfered to CRM from R/3.
    2. Which CRM table and which CDB table has data regarding Product variants.
CRM experts could you please share your knowledge with me.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    thanks in advance
    Middleware developer

    Hi Jothi,
Just double check these steps :
    1. You have created Knowledged base Object in R/3
       (tcode CU31 - CU33)
    2. You have created Knowledged base runtine in R/3
       (tcode CU34 - CU35)
Make sure that VALID FROM information in Knowledge Base Object must be greater than VALID FROM in Material Class.
    3. Re-download material ID (if necessary)
    4. Re-download SCE Object in CRM
If all steps above successfully run without any
error/warning message, you should be able see Tab Configuration + Variant in CRM Master Data (COMMPR01).
You can see also the Configuration Model in Configuration
Tab (where you can simulate the characteristic
    configuration).
    Hope this could help.
    Cheers,
    Gun.
