Product Thumbnails Overlapping

Hello I got a problem with the spacing of the product thumbnail in the "individual small",,, when I add 1-2 products it looks good but more than 2 look terrible, all the thumbnails are squeezed together to the left side overlapping each other, I want the product thumbnails to be centered and with a small space in between them in rows of 4 how do I do that? thank you

So in your CSS file "ModuleStyleSheets.css" locate and replace (should be line 538):

with:

Production order overlapping with purchase orders for outside process

I set up the overlap option in a router so we can send 50 pieces (total order quantity is 200) of material ahead to an outside heat treat operation. When we try to create the purchase order for the 50 to be sent out for heat treat two problems occur.
1. The quatity in the purchase order is for the entire order of 200, not 50.
2. We get a message "Date /23/2010 period D is not valid.
We currently do not use the functionality of splits and overlaps so if anyone can help or guide me to a good resource I would appreciate it.

the next operation would be an external operation in your order ? That is, has some external Operation Control Key?
Then the PurReq for this operation is created at creation or release of the production order by the total operation quantity. Ovelapping allows you to reduce some total time in order, but I don think that can be applied for the purpose you describe. Let us know more details about your requirement.

This is happening because the 3 product images are sqezed in this column - http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/Mihai/2012-08-06_1133.png
To prevent this from happening you will need to overwrite the width=100% property here - http://screencasteu.worldsecuresystems.com/Mihai/2012-08-06_1134.png - in this example I have manually set it to 800px. The other way around would be to modify the layout of the page.

PNG images revive deleted images in the form of a thumbnail, potential risk

Saving a PNG image will revive deleted photos. To replicate this, save a PNG image, such as the ones on XKCD's "What If?", and deleted images get revived in the form of a thumbnail overlapping the image.

Knowledge of this could be abused. If I get free acess to someone else's Ipad, I can just spam saving PNG images over and over to see their sensitive images saved as a thumbnail overlapping the PNG image's thumbnail.
How do I delete the thumbnails? It seems that when you delete a photo, it saves the thumbnail. This is supported by the PNG images reviving deleted photos in the form of thumbnails.

Table display thumbnails

Hello,
I am trying to create what amounts to a table with product
thumbnails. When using the Insert -> Application Data ->
Dynamic Data -> Dynamic Table it fills in a table with just
rows. I need an image placed in a grid of rows and columns. Any
suggestions?

Why bother with the index.html?
1) There is no reason for it, it can't do anything index.jsp can't do
2) There are a lot of things index.html CAN'T do that index.jsp CAN do (like dynamic includes, scriplet etc...
Delete the index.html file and go to http://localhost8080/WebProject/ and see what you get. Make sure that index.jsp is in the same directory that index.html was in.

If after you go through the tutorials you still don't understand a forum thread isn't going to help, it just isn't the correct format for the training you need. (This is not meant to be discouraging, it is just important to understand what to expect from what learning media. You will get more specific detail about from tutorials than from forums because the people writing them invest a lot more time in doing it then forum posters can. If those resources aren't enough you need to get something that can be either more detailed like a book, or more tailored to answering questions like a course).
e, but is there a way to just have the page (script) run insideNot actually going to answer that now, just correct some word usage. It is a bad idea to consider a JSP page a 'script'. It isn't. Most 'scripts' will run on the client side, while JSPs run on the server side. 'Scripts' usually aren't compiled, but are direct instructions to an interpretor. JSPs are compiled to Servlets first, then run using a Java Virtual Machine on the Server side. It gets confusing because of the term 'scriptlets' which are little script-like blocks inside JSPs but the difference is significant (and places a part why you can't just include the page inside HTML pages).

Photo Thumbnail Bug?

I just noticed a strange Photo album thumbnail display bug on both my iPhone and iPad runnign 4.2.1. If I save a PNG file (which has a transparent background) to my album, the thumbnail on the iPad shows the PNG image overlapping an image I have previously deleted. If I save more images off the internet that either have transparency or are narrow, the thumbnails keep showing the images overlapping previously deleted images. On the iPhone, the thumbnail itself shows up correctly, but the thumbnail of the image on the Albums page shows the same overlap issue.
I assume this is widespread since it occurs on both my iPad and iPhone. I have reported it through feedback, but thought I would mention it here as well to assure myself this is on all iOS devices. Seems like a potential lack of security, if perhaps you deleted an image you didn't want anyone to see, then it shows up in the thumbnails, overlapped, but still clear enough to see.

I have encountered the same issue. This is problematic for me because I had been capturing PNG images of confidential medical documents (using the "home+sleep" screen cap function) for brief reviewing of key patient information. Even in the small thumbnails it is possible to identify some personal information when these ghost images appear behind new thumbnails. There should be some way to dump old thumbnails or prevent their storage after being "deleted" altogether.

Center Large product view?

I got a problem with my "large product view"
1: the product thumbnail is placed to the left, I would like it to be centered.
2: the thumbnail is kind of small, how do I make it larger?
where in the CSS do I change those things?

I managed to get this particular product larger but still it does not look right, I want it to be 100% hight from the bottom of the page to the gray area.
Is it possible to force the product images to be a specific size (if it's to small, it stretches or to bid it shrinks)?
I also notised a separate problem in the meny bar,, in "MÄRKEN" the dropdown meny shows up on the side to the right instead of underneath "MÄRKEN"

Thumbnail/Proxy Re-Analyze Question

Hi All,
When I create a production, and add a single asset to it, the thumbnail used for the production becomes the same image used for my asset (the first asset). However, if I remove that first asset, and add a completely different asset in its place, why does the productions thumbnail not change to reflect my different asset?
Is there something I can do to fix this?

No, the asset does not change. Once it's set, it's set. I've never known anyone using FCSvr professionally to remove assets from productions, though. It's very unlikely that would ever happen.

Pop up text boxes on mouseovers

I'm looking for an easy way (and the easiest tool to use
between Dreamweaver, Fireworks, and Flash [and I'm guessing
'Fireworks']...or maybe Flash---I have Studio MX2004) to create not
a 'pop-menu', but 'a Pop-Up TEXT box' on a mouseover event.
For example, please perform the following steps to see what I
would like to do:
1)Google 'Product Demos'
2)Click on 'Blackberry' link at top of list 3)A selection of
product thumbnails appears...click on any product link 4)A Flash
presentation loads....Click on 'Interactive Views' in the lower
right-hand corner.
5)Go to the upper left-hand corner and click on 'Included
Applications' to see the text pop-ups activated when you mouse over
parts of a graphic (in this case, each icon)....AND THEN...click on
the next one in the list, 'Handheld Features' to see text pop up
boxes activated once you mouse over the textual captions (or
pointers).
This is the effect I would like to achieve when a user mouses
over a section of a figure or illustration, or over a textual
caption itself.

Spry XML Data causing lots of 404s

I have an html document with an XML data set of various products bound to the document. The data displays fine like its supposed to, except in the case of the thumbnail sources and URL links they each cause a 404 error for every single product displayed on the page each time it is accessed. Here is an example of the code for my product thumbnails and links to each of their pages:

Again, it displays properly in IE, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera... its just that the img.src and href data is causing 404 errors every time they're displayed. Do I need to adjust the data brackets or Javascript in the header to fix this?

Hmm, that sounds interesting.
So basically you're saying that I should generate the tags themselves with Spry? Something like this?

So in a way I'm essentially tricking the browser and website log into believing that there really isn't an actual image or URL for it? And that will prevent the 404 errors I described from occurring since it won't be looking at them for links or image sources?

I tried your suggestion but I don't know of a way for a XML data reference to be read as an html tag, unless you meant something else when you said to generate the tags in Spry.

Should Value Objects Extend SkinnableComponent?

If you have a value object called Product.as, received from a server lets say via AMFPHP should this VO extend SkinnableComponent so you display it directly? What are the advantages and disadvantages?
Here is a very simple example of Product.as Class:

Now It would be useful if this VO extended SkinnableComponent you could create a skins to show the product information in different ways e.g. just a price tag (showing price), a product thumbnail (showing image, name, brand) or show all the products details.
So you would end up with ProductPriceTagSkin.mxml, ProductThumbnailSkin.mxml, ProductDetailsSkin.mxml + the Product.as - this is all well and good, isn't it?
Well what happens if you want to use the price tag on its own, without the Product class? Ah problem - because its just a skin its tied to the HostComponent Product class.
OK so lets take another route, the Product class does not inherit from SkinnableComponent instead lets say it inherits from EventDispatcher.
So now we have to create separate components/classes for each "view" and a skin for each of these. e.g. What was the ProductThumbnailSkin.mxml now becomes ProductThumbnailSkin.mxml but this has a HostComponent of ProductThumbnail.as which has the properties of; imageURL, name, brand and extends SkinnableComponent.
OK so we can now pass the properties from the Product.as to the ProductThumbnail.as which has a skin of ProductThumbnailSkin.mxml. As the ProductThumbnail.as is not tied to Product.as you can use it in other projects or on its own without a Product.
Now this all seems great but you have to create extra files bit annoying but you gain flexibility for your pains. Now the above example, I think seems fairly doable but what happens when we come to do the ProductDetail.as and ProductDetailsSkin.mxml. ProductDetails.as is going to have the exact same properties as Product.as so now we have come full circle why not just make Product.as extend SkinnableComponent and have 3 skins ProductPriceTagSkin.mxml, ProductThumbnailSkin.mxml, ProductDetailsSkin.mxml? But now we are back at the catch of loosing flexibility and re-use.
I keep flitting back and forth between which method would be the best set-up to allow flexibility and maintainability, what is everybody else's thoughts? Are the different methods? I hope my twittering's make sense?

Easily Editable CSS Image Gallery Template

I'm trying to create a template to hold product thumbnails in Dreamweaver MX 2004 that would allow me to put new products at the beginning of the gallery page... using a float; left: to bump the thumbnails down to the next 'row'... See attached files
in the current galleries, I've used tables, but find that new products have to be put at the end of all table cells or I would have to move everything... and would like to be able to easily take thumbnails off the page without leaving a gap... I'm having difficulty wrapping my mind around repeatable editable optionals as well.
I also want to be able to have the footer at the bottom of the page no matter how many products are on that page and thought I had changed the css for the footer from absolute to relative, but that doesn't seem to be working.
Any thoughts/tips/hints would be greatly appreciated.

This might be overkill in this particular situation, but this is exactly the type of scenario for which many will use InDesign server, front-ended with a web client to merge designated content into a template and ultimately yield a PDF file for either display, print, or both!
The problem of a “typical office worker” using InDesign is that it has a very steep learning curve and there is so much that can go wrong (not that this can't and doesn't happen with Microsoft Publisher or Word as well)!
One other possibililty would be either a script and/or custom plug-in for InDesign to perform the daily fill-in and/or replacement with minimal user interaction.

looks like some functionalities of these products are overlaping, so is SAP Netweaver CE replacing ARIS products? Are they are creating integration between these products?

Your question has been asked by a lot of people on the TechEd in Berlin last Oct. I agree there are some overlapping functionalities, however I also think the scope of both products is rather different. Where ARIS can be used to create and manage an extensive overview and repository of all business processes in your business model and their relations, CE can be used to actually create executables, from your designed business processes. Besides this, I would say ARIS can be used in designing manual processes that are supported with system architecture were CE can be used to design processes that can be digitalised with at least manual steps as possible.

You use the lot-sizing procedure to determine how the system is to calculate the reorder quantity in the planning run.
A lot size defining the lot-sizing procedure is assigned to every material master record applicable to materials planning.
The lot size is defined in Customizing by the combination of the lot-sizing procedure and the lot-sizing indicator.
Three procedures for lot sizing are available:
o static lot-sizing procedures
o period lot-sizing procedures
o optimizing lot-sizing procedures
You use the lot-size indicator to define the procedure.
The following parameters are also available for controlling the lot-sizing procedure:
o Short-term and long-term lot size
   You can split the lot-sizing procedure into a short-term and a long-term period. This means that you can select one lot-sizing procedure in the near future and a different one in the distant future.
You define the periods in the section of the screen entitled "End of the short-term period/start of the long-term period".
   The valid from date of the long-term lot size area is defined via:
   - a periodicity
   - a number of periods
   The beginning of the long-term period is calculated by taking today's date and adding the number of periods in the future; the long-term planning period then starts on the next complete period.
   Note
For materials that are planned using the short and long-term lot size,
   it is recommended that you define a maximum MRP period. Defining the
   MRP period has the effect that materials after a certain period are

   order and the period end represents the availability date (repetitive
manufacturing)
Interpretation of the delivery times
For the lot-sizing procedure, you can also define whether the period
start is to be interpreted as the delivery date or as the availability
date using the indicator, "interpretation of the calendar times".

The indicators, Scheduling and Interpr.deliv.times are mutually
exclusive.
Indicator for the splitting quota
For the quota arrangements, you can determine whether the requirements
quantities are to be distributed to several items, that is, whether
they are to be split. With the splitting quota arrangement,
requirement quantities are not simply allocated to the smallest quota
rating. Instead, they are distributed among various sources using the
following formula:
Quantity for source of supply X = Quota of source X * reqmts quantity
Sum of all quotas
Overlapping indicator
The overlapping indicator along with the cycle time in the material
master record are used to split the planned orders into several
partial quantities whereby the in-house production time overlaps by
the cycle time.
Lot-sizing procedure for make-to-order production
In make-to-order production, you can use the indicator, Lot size for
make-to-order production to determine whether,
the order quantity is to be calculated using the exact lot size
the order quantity is to be calculated using the exact lot size and
the system is also to take the rounding quantity or the minimum and
maximum lot size into account
the order quantity is to be calculated using the lot-sizing procedure
defined for the short-term area
Maximum stock level variant
The system only displays the Maximum stock level variant field in the
lot-sizing procedure, Replenishing to maximum stock level. The
indicator only has an effect in connection with reorder point planning
taking external requirements into account and in connection with
material requirements planning and controls how the system calculates
lot sizes.
