Production site is not functioning due to an User Login Password expire.

Hi All,
SQL Server 2005
We have an issue with user login password expire. Generally we create logins without password expire but the user is unable to login to the server and getting password expire error.
a) What would be the reasons behind this scenario.
b) How to resolve this issue.
c) How can we avoid this issue in future.

Hi,
In addition, you can use
ALTER LOGIN (Transact-SQL) to configure the enforcement of password policy options of a SQL Server login.
When CHECK_POLICY is changed to OFF, CHECK_EXPIRATION will also be set to OFF. The following combinations of policy options are not supported:
If MUST_CHANGE is specified, CHECK_EXPIRATION and CHECK_POLICY must be set to ON. Otherwise, the statement will fail.
If CHECK_POLICY is set to OFF, CHECK_EXPIRATION cannot be set to ON. An ALTER LOGIN statement that has this combination of options will fail.

I followed below mentioned URL for dynamic menus and I did this in my custom master page instead of content editor WebPart. And it is working fine as expected but when browsing the ViewallSiteContent and SiteSettings pages I am getting notification
in IE as "site is not responding due to long running scripts" and for other web pages I am not getting this error.

I am using SharePoint Server 2010 enterprise edition and IE 9 .
Actually I uploaded .Js scripts in document library and referred those in custom master page. If I commented those scripts in master page file I am not getting any long scripting error.

Have you tried to debug the javascript in your your custom master page with for instance Internet Explorer Developer toolbar or Firebug?

Password Remember Button does not function; Can't input 3rd Party Passwords for Social Networks/Emails.

My "Remember" button doesn't work. Simple as that. The "Not Now"
Button still works, and closes the pop-bar. Remember doesn't do anything.

Okay, I have started Firefox in Safe Mode, and the Remember button still didn't work. After checking the error console, It had the following message again:

I read the Troubleshooting extensions & Themes, but It didn't help.
When I tried to read "http://kb.mozillazine.org/Password_Manager" I get a page that says:

Also, this error occurs in ALL 3rd Party extensions. It can't log me into E-Mail accounts, Facebook, Twitter, anything. The error message has a window title of [JAVASCRIPT APPLICATION] if that says anything.

How can I get Firefox to remember a password for a site I originally told it not to? The site is not found in the exceptions area of passwords either.

I initially said for Firefox to NOT remember a password for COZI.com, my online calendar site. Now I would like it to, but cannot find a place to make that happen. I checked under TOOLS/OPTIONS/SECURITY/PASSWORDS. The site is not listed under exceptions either. Is there a way to make this happen?

I do not see that form in the page source, so it looks that it the login form gets created via JavaScript and the Firefox Password Manager doesn't work in such cases. Form fill may store the name.

Can not connect to MaxDB 'Unknown user name/password combination' returned

Hi,
     I try to make a connection from NWDS 7.2 to MaxDB. So i use the url as 'jdbc:sapdb://127.0.0.1:7210/CE1' to make a connection (by wizard of data source explorer in NWDS).
I try to entry username and password as below :
User : 'Administrator' , Pass : 'admin123'
User : 'SAPJ2EDB' , Pass : 'admin123'
User : 'superdba' , Pass : 'admin123'
User : 'control' , Pass : 'admin123'
So i always got
com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc40.SQLInvalidAuthorizationSpecException: [-4008]: Unknown user name/password combination
returned
   I quite sure that 'admin123' is the password for MaxDB because when i try to uninstall the MaxDB it ask me to input password for 'superdba' and 'control'
How should i do? I remember that when i installed the SAP CE7.2 i had entered just only one password.
How can i reset the username and password or use default password?
P.S i try to enter user and pass from this post MAXDB Server,Database,Username and pasword , but it still not work .

Not recognising user login password MacBook Pro

Hey people hope you can help! After installing new hard drive and transferring time machine data, my MacBook Pro is Refusing to recognise my password even after I have reset it using the startup disk. I enter user password on my admin user account and it goes blue briefly as if beginning load but the. Returns back to selecting user and entering password. It really strange as it does not say password incorrect its almost like it trying to load but can't. Any suggestions please?

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
The purpose of the test is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party software that loads automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a Fusion Drive or a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually login automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

Before i downloaded your firefox 8.0.1, I used firefox to 'save as' the ''Unrealized gain/loss page'' from a brokerage account, - for my ongoing historical financial records file (safari doesn't work for this site).
On the Unrealized gain/loss page, there is a '+' symbol (in front of each stock owned) that one needs to 'clic' on (turns to a -) to see the various dates (and financial data) when you purchased different lots of the same stock. (say, ''IBM''; purchased IBM shares on 21-10-'11, 100 shares, @ $147, current price @ $180, gain of $33/share, total gain $3,300 / 10-14-'11 purchased 200 IBM shares, @ $191, current price @ $180, loss of $11/share, total loss $2200 / - and so on for however many individual 'lots' one has of that particular stock. ). This information is very important to me, and now i can not 'save' it.
- So I want to know how I 'fix' this - or - how I can go back to the earlier version, that did work.

To downgrade to Firefox 3.6 first uninstall Firefox 4, but do not select the option to "Remove my Firefox personal data". If you select that option it will delete your bookmarks, passwords and other user data.
You can then install the latest version of Firefox 3.6 available from http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html - it will automatically use your current bookmarks, passwords etc.
To avoid possible problems with downgrading, I recommend going to your profile folder and deleting the following files if they exist - extensions.cache, extensions.rdf, extensions.ini, extensions.sqlite and localstore.rdf. Deleting these files will force Firefox to rebuild the list of installed extensions, checking their compatibility, and reset toolbar customizations.

Web site will not open due to incompatible brower

I have been trying to do my financial aid on the fafsa web site it will not let me fill out the application. the screen reads incompatible browser detected...I am confused, Firefox is by default browser so why am i having trouble accessing this site?

The FAFSA site is a bit out of date on Firefox versions and rejects both 4 and 5. You either can use IE for that site, or you can try a portable version of Firefox 3.6:

Not a site I normally use, but I can open https://www.usaa.com and do not notice any obvious problems.
Ensure that you have javascript enabled in Firefox, and also that no security software or add blocker etc software is interfering. Try Firefox in safe mode, and consider clearing cookies for that site and the firefox browser cache.

Site setup not functioning

When I click Site/New Site, the dialog box that appears is transparent. I can see its outline and a line "Unnamed Site 2" and the file path below that, but nothing else.
I only recently installed Dreamweaver, and I'm thinking that I might need to re-install it.
Any thoughts?

Http authentication failing on all sites, does not even prompt me for user/pass

Hi,
After an apt-get update, sites that use HTTP authentication do not prompt for credentials and go straight to HTTP:401. It is only affecting this browser, others have no issues. I also updated a FF in Windows, no issues there after the update.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
*Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

My Muse site is not loading properly on some users machines. Any ideas why?

My site: www.mdesignfreelance.com is reportedly not loading properly for some people. I can't replicate it; it performs just fine on all my browsers on Mac and Windows. Adobe support tested it on their end and it loaded just fine on all the browsers they tested. So now I'm here asking the community if anybody might be able to see the problem. Thank you for any help.

all ive been seeing is that i can reset my password with my apple iD, but its not the same. and it doesnt do the command R thing or the terminal/utilities thing. so what do i do??

First of all, to log in as the HTML DB administrator, you want to use a different page, one that ends in /pls/htmldb/htmldb_admin Try logging in there. If that doesn't work, see this thread about creating a new admin account:
