Profile activating error after solution manager 4.0 installation
dear sap experts
by using RZ10, i tried to change some parameters of profiles...
http://itedu24.net/solman/activate_profile_error.jpg
At first, i got "No Profile Found".
Finally i could import them.
However, whenever i tried to ativate or save them,
there were so many red texts
"Incorrect parameter values detected."
<a href="http://ited24.net/solman/profile_solman40_20060523.ZIP">profile_solman40_20060523.ZIP</a>
I linked my profiles and some screenshots.
thanks.
david
dear Barry Neaves
actually, this setting is the default setting ( from SAP ).
is it a bug?
Well, after i changed it to $(DIR_EXECUTBALE)\jcontrol.exe
( coz the name of file is jcontrol.exe in my system),
I can eliminate the red color.
thank you for your help.
regards,
david

User synchronization issue between Active Directory and Solution manager.
Requirement:
Synchronize the users between Active directory and solution manager system.
<u>What we did:</u>
1. Created RFC connection (LDAP_RFC) for LDAP connector.
2. Created new LDAP connector that utilize the RFC (LDAP_RFC).
3. Created new logical LDAP Server(CUA).Here we have to maintain the connection
details to the physical directory.
4. We maintained the communication user that is used by the LDAP connector to bind the LDAP Directory Server.
5. In transaction LDAPMAP specific SAP data fields, we mapped to the desired
directory attributes.
6. Testing from LDAP transaction working fine. We are able to see the attributes and
values from Active directory.
<b><u>Issue:</u></b>
When executed the program RSLDAPSYNC_USER for user synchronization from t-code se38 with below selection .
LDAP Server = CUA (created earlier)
LDAP Connector = LDAP_RFC (RFC connection created created ealier)
In the tab: (Object that exist both in the directory and in the Database:)
Selected: Compare Time Stamp.
In the tab: (Objects the only exist in the Directory.)
Selected : Create in Database.
In the tab(Objects that only Exist in the Database:
Selected: Ignore Object.
Result from the report shows that connection to LDAP server is fine and 0(zero) objects in Directory.
The program does not create any new user in the Solution Manager system.
Any help on this issue greatly appreciated.
Thanks & Regards,
Harishwhere did you see this error ? is there anymore details.
i think the account you are using for Sync does not have Replicate Directory Changes permission in AD. follow below article and give Replicate directory changes permission.

Maurizio ManeraHello Mr Manera,
It is a known issue that the activating errors or issues with the objects in the common correction notes happen when the upgrade is done to SP23, notes applied, then upgrade again to SP25 or SP26.
The usual way to deal with this kind of error is running SPAU, letting the note go into an inconsistent state, then applying again the new version of the note. This may require to completely deimplement the common correction notes then implement them again.
Have you tried doing this?
Best regards,

Please maintain a connection from solution manager to the transport domain system . I belive this is CIA.

Error in Solution Manager - Service desk
Dear all Hi,
i need your help please.
i try to create o service desk message from an ERP system -> Solution manager.
when i have SAP_ALL (for the user in the Solution Manager system) the message is created fine
and i can see it and proccess it fine.
when i take off SAP_ALL i get the following error : 'Because of error 513, no message was created in Support Desk System'., even though i have the following authorizations to the user:
SAP_S_RFCACL
SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY
SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE
can someone please help ???
thank you in advance.
GeorgePlease find the following points which cause error 513.
1. The client was not completely created by the copy of Client 001.
2. The BCOS_CUST table was not maintained correctly.
3. Missing authorizations for message creation (correct: roles copied from SAP_SV_FDB_NOTIF_BC_CREATE and SAP_SOL_SERVTRANS_CREATE or SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE).
4. Incorrect action profile assigned for the message type SLF1 (correct: SMSD_ABA_MLDG_SERVICEVORGANG or SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO).
5. Number ranges are not assigned correctly.
6. The logical system is not defined.
7. Modification of the standard settings of the message type SLF1.
Thanks,

Solution Manager Installation Error "SAP SOLUTION MANAGER 7.0 EHP 1"
I am new to SAP and currently trying to install SOLMAN 7.0 EHP 1 on Windows Server 2008 R2. I have read the documentation also. For JDK I have used "j2sdkfb-1_4_2_24-rev-b06-windows-amd64.exe" which looks to be working fine.
The installation process runs fine until it hits "Start Instance" the message on the bottom says "Starting instance xxx/DVEBMGSOO" (where xxx is my sid) and then its times out after 10 minute. After timing out I get the following error on the window.
An error occurred while processing option SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EhP1 > SAP Systems > Oracle > Central System > Central System( Last error reported by the step: ABAP processes of instance ORC/DVEBMGS00 ABAP: UNKNOWN did not start after 10:00 minutes. Giving up.). You can now:
Choose Retry to repeat the current step.
Choose Log Files to get more information about the error.
Stop the option and continue with it later.
Log files are written to C:\Program Files/sapinst_instdir/SOLMAN/SYSTEM/ORA/CENTRAL/AS.
Though the installation steps are not fully completed but I do see SAP management Console and when I open it I see two process running "msg_server.exe" & "igswd.exe" The process dispwork.EXE starts in the beginning and then stops and stays stopped. I tried restarting all the process again but only tow of them starts and the process "dispwork.EXE" starts but then stops again. I also did a NEW installation considering a file could have been corrupted or something else but the installation process stops and the same place. I am sure ppl have installed SOLMAN on windows 2008 R2 and this error seems common to me. Please assist. Any tips would be nice.
Edited by: amirsd on Aug 3, 2011 5:53 PMHi,
Please check the below
1) ip/host entries should be in /etc/hosts
2) patch the latest kernel for 2008 R2
and re run installation

Ram
