Java program hanges while atempting to send mail and below is the stack track. Can you please let us know what might using program to hang state.

Yes its keep on listening state and not getting any data. Also we have set the timeout configuration and still program hangs.
Not throwing any exception. Each time we have to take the jstack trace to check the error before killing the process id.

I have a EJB code deployed on weblogic. I am using OSB business service to invoke EJB and publish data to JMS. Restart the server and the SQL Services and Hosts associated. Remove the Dll's from the GAC and re-build and Deploy. This sort of issue might occur due to some cache, Permission or some errors in the odx at run time.

The usual fix: Delete the account from your Preferences and Re-Enter it.

I am using WAS SP9 (with EP & KM). I am connecting to corporate exchange server and i am sending mails and i have permission to relay from my server also. The code i used is working fine in webdynpro and also in simple java file but its not working in Abstract Portal Component. Following is the code snippet....

But I have a little problem with the sentence:

The stranger is that NetWeaver protests to me that:

But in the class, NetWeaver showme sendMailSvc.(Ctrl+Space) two Method send mail
1) sendMail(IResource arg0, IUser arg1)

Why it does not take the second method? I do not understand

Sample Program hangs while executing mining task

Hi, we installed 9i (9.2.0.3, JServer Release 9.2.0.3.0) DM option. The two users related to ODM have been created by installation and been unlocked. I am trying to run the sample programs on the AIX UNIX server. I could succesfully compile these java programs but when I run them, they hang (for more than 1 hour) just after executing wait-on-task statement.
On this server I could compile test java programs on O/S. I could store and execute those classes as java stored procedures.
I suspect the reason is because ODM_MONITOR gives the following error:

The reason could be that 72 Java classes under ODM DB account (including the corresponding class) are invalid. Even after reinstallation, they remain invalid. Anyone has any ideas as to why it is happening? Is there anything that I am missing? Any help is appreciated

Hi Kiran,
Oracle Data Mining is not ported 9.2.0.3.0 release to AIX. The invalid objects are caused because AIX 9.2.0.3.0 relapse is using older version of the ODM libraries.
Two possible solutions are:
1. Use AIX 9.2.0.1 release (to which ODM was ported).
2. Request Oracle support for a 9.2.0.3.0 port of ODM.

"no email program" – didn't ask to send a mail!

Opening .pdfs with Reader XI (11.04) on Windows 7 keeps stalling; after a bit of checking and exploring, I found this is because of an alert box that is not showing up on top of the main Acrobat window. That's bad enough, but the alert itself doesn't make any sense to me when I do manage to display it:
There is no email program associated to perform the requested action. Please install an email program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel.
I haven't clicked on any sort of Mail to link, and there isn't even a mail-to link in the document.
Any ideas for persuading Acrobat just to open the document without making a fuss? <g>

Good questions, Pat – the PC in question has no e-mail program installed, because it's a corporate-policy no-network box where I'm allowed to play with dangerous ideas like structured DITA/XML.
But why should Reader be complaing about the absence of an e-mail program when opening a .pdf that doesn't even include a mailto: link? Don't tell me it's trying to e-mail the NSA to tell them I've opened a file <rofl>

I'm trying to build myself a quick and dirty database application for maintaining my church's phone list and have hit a snag.
My project (being developed in NetBeans IDE 6.5.1 on Slackware Linux 12.2) keeps hanging in the initComponents() function of my one and only form. After it goes through all of the Swing widget creation statements:

Having said that, I don't see anything wrong with it and I get no errors or exceptions...the project just hangs as if it is working on something, but it never seems to go beyond this line. I have given it up to about 20 minutes to see if it was just going slow (which won't work at all, if that had been the case), but it never did continue past this point.
At first, I thought that it could be an IDE issue, so I compiled my JAR file and tried to execute it directly from the command line, but it hung in my MainForm constructor (according to my logs), but never completed. Due to this, I'm assuming that when I ran it directly, it hung in the same place. When this didn't work, I tried using a different version of the IDE, to no avail...it still hung up at the same place. When I added that ActionListener, I was using NetBeans 6.7 milestone 3. Could that IDE having generated this code caused the problem that I'm experiencing? Changing to an older version of the IDE has not helped, but I'm open to anything at this point.
Any thoughts as to things that I can try to trap exactly what is going on here or suggestions as to how to fix this weird "hang up" are most appreciated. I look forward to hearing what you all have to say.

I could not determine at what point that the hang up started happening. Even after I had added the ActionListener for the btnExit toolbar button, my project still ran, until some indeterminate point where I added something to the project which caused it to start hanging up on this .addActionListener() line.
Since I couldn't determine when the hang up started taking place by commenting out code. I decided to recreate the project from scratch (but bringing in files that I know were not causing the problem). By doing this, I've gotten to the point where I've got the btnExit ActionListener being added again and am not getting the hang up. This is really weird! I don't want to have to keep recreating my projects because of something crazy like this happening.
I'm not sure if I had mentioned it in any of my replies to this thread, but when I had originally added the ActionListener for the btnExit toolbar button, I was using NetBeans 6.7 milestone 3. When I recreated the project, I did so in NetBeans 6.5.1. So, I'm beginning to think that the problem I had was actually with the version of NetBeans that I was using and not with the JDK or Java code that I had written.
Any thoughts on this? This question is mainly for you folks that are like me and kind of a NetBeans freak. ;-)

[4.0] Production SQL Developer hangs when attempting to expand Java in the Connection Navigator

Folks,
I'm running production SQL Developer on Oracle Linux 5.8 and whenever I click the Java link in the Connections Navigator with a SYS AS SYSDBA connection SQL Developer hangs.
Oracle Enterprise Edition 11.2.0.1.0
SQLDeveloper 4.0.0.13.80
Oracle Linux 6
JDK Version 1.7.0_45
Doing the same thing with user SCOTT (no SYSDBA) works fine (although there are not any Java objects).

This has been logged as a bug.
The bad plan/performance has been logged as a bug. SQL Developer didn't hang for me - I was able to cancel the query using the Task Progress panel.

Thunderbird hangs while attempting to remove an account.

We've just migrated our email from one provider to another. I added a new email account to Thunderbird and want to delete the old one, keeping all my address book, local folders, etc. However, when I pop into "Settings..." and then select the old account and do "Account Actions" and then "Remove Account", I get the "Are you sure?" confirmation dialog and after confirming that, it goes back to the "Settings" view and I Thunderbird then hangs (a beachball since I'm on Mac) and I have to force quit it. Any way to help diagnose this? I've looked around and doing things like taking thunderbird offline before attempting the removal of the old account don't make a difference.
I'd hate to have to migrate my profile (likely just address books and some local folders) to deal with this bug. best, Joe

- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account.
Thus, either delete the app and purchasevit with your account or live with not updating it.

How to send Java Mail with EXCEL attachment?

I tried the following:

But when I send this message with this datasource as attachment,I get a ParseException with the VM complaining about malformed headers.

BTW, "application/excel" is not the correct MIME type for Microsoft Office
Excel files. The correct MIME type is "application/vnd.ms-excel".

VI hangs while attempting to save

When we try to save the VI, it hangs and we have to reopen the LabVIEW, also no modifications are saved. Size of VI is around 1MB. There are no SubVI's in the top level VI. (LabVIEW 6.1)

Sorry, I don't have a solution, just a comment.
A single VI of 1MB seems quite large and I wonder where all the bulk is coming from. It would be hard to believe it's all "code". Could it be that all your indicators (arrays, graphs, charts, etc.) contain huge arrays as default vaules? It might be worth clearing all, followed by "set current values to defaults" before saving the VI.
Go to "File..VI properties..memory usage". What are the numbers for objects, code and data?
