Program not working when transfered to a mobilphone.

Hi all.
I have made a program that should be able to send a message over bluetooth.
The program works when I use the simulator, but it cannot find any other devices, when I transfer it to the phone.
Does any of you know if there are any special things that I should do to allow it to find other bluetooth devices on my phone.
Hope you can help med here.

Is the simulator correctly set to represent the phone you're trying to deploy on?
Not all Java-enabled phones implement all Java functionality -- you should check to see that the phone implements the correct JSR (I believe it's JSR-82).

Flash not working when Transferred

Hello. I recently completed the first stages of my website
using Dreamweaver. It has been a few years since I used this
program, so I am a little rusty. I used flash to create most of my
menu system. I decided to copy my work to another folder to test
and make sure it works alright. Everything is fine except there is
no flash! I made sure to also copy the flash DIR and did not change
anything, and I have had no luck in getting it to work. Within the
code, it lists my flash files being in Flash/filename.swf" which is
exactly how I copied it over. If anyone has any ideas, it would be
much appreciated! I also have it uploaded onto a website if you
want to take a look at the code and perhaps fine the error.

You need to be sure you deployed the Scripts file and folder
to the server
as well.

Transferred CS4 to new MacBook Pro, now some fonts will not work when PDFing documents from InDesign CS4. Help!

I recently purchased a new MacBook Pro. I transferred my CS4 from my older MacBook Pro to my new computer, and although it seemed to be working fine now some fonts will not work when PDFing documents from InDesign CS4. These fonts are installed on my new computer, can be found in InDesign CS4, and work fine within the program but will not appear in PDFs. The letters turn into rectangles. Does anyone know why, and how to fix that?
Help/input would be much appreciated. Thank you!

JSObject programming was not working when compiled in JSDK1.4.2_06

JSObject programming was not working when compiled in JSDK1.4.2_06.
But problem solved when i compiled with JSDK1.3.1_15 and tested with JVM 1.3.1_15.
Still I could not run the class file generated in JSDK1.3.1_15 in JVM 1.4.2_06.
What do you think happened across the SDK versions? Shouldn't the JSObject
and other classes be part of the browser JVM.
I want to know whether JSObject supports in JSDK1.4.2_06.
It goes into the loop. It neither say error nor execute.

Screen variant not working when assigned to transaction variant in SHd0

Dear All,
User requires tax code column for line items in MIRO to be made non-editable. I am using SHD0 transaction for the same. I am able to make the column grey-off by creating screen variant. The program is SAPLMR1M and screen number 6310. When tested individually thru SHD0 the variant is working perfect. But it is not working when assigned to a transaction variant. Any clues on the same would be really helpful.

Hi,
Try to record again for the whole set of screens instead of doing that for the individual tax screen and only for the tax screen make the required field disable.
Once done and saved, you can see all the screens variants in the transaction variant.
Use the Change WITH PROCESSING OPTION.

PDF conversion with PDF2ID; Hypertext not working when exported back to pdf.

I have done a PDF conversion with PDF2ID, however Hypertext is not working when I exported it back to pdf. I am using the PDF2ID plug-in program to redo all the product booklets for our company as the hypertext did not work when downloaded to any smart phone. All that appeared were blank placeholders in each booklet index page.
According to the PDF2ID people the program plug-in recovers all URLs static and dynamic and bookmarks and local links and suggested I check with Adobe ID5 for help, but Adobe says my $1,000 ID5 is no longer supported and that I should go to the forums.....so here I am.
This is the first time I've even opened my ID5, so I'm a bit lost. Now I need to improve the quality of the PDFs, as we also need to convert all images to TIFF-CMYK in order to have the booklets printed & bound professionally. they tell me ID can do that.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Ugh...in some companies, that is training.
Don't take this the wrong way David, but of course ID can't do anything. PDF2ID conversions can be sketchy in the hands of the experienced. The same can be said of properly preparing matials for print. As Bob has already alluded, you're in an unfair position there. It's not uncommon for "management" types to just throw some sophisticated tools at a need and expect someone to make it work. In order to do what's being asked of you, you'll have to learn a fair bit about InDesign and production. It's too soon to ask about the output when you haven't learned to manage the input.

Hyperlink is not working when running on sun solaris OS

I have Created PDF file using oracle reports 2.5 version and included hyperlinks in reports which will open files located on our intranet server(http://cup2.ngc.co.uk). Hyperlinks are working properly when I generated report on window xp machine but not working when I compiled and executed report on solaris unix server(reports 6i).
please let me know why hyperlinks is not working when executed on solaris((5.8). do we need any setup to work hyperlinks on unix server.

Ok, there are 2 docs i've tried.
A = Doc created originally from MPB Pages with hyperlink
B = Doc created from iPad Pages with hyperlink
A was transfered to iPad Pages using iTune. I emailed A as pdf from iPad to gmail and reopen the file on iPad using Quickoffice / PDF Reader Lite, the link is NOT active, not working. BUT, when i read A using MBP gmail, the link is ACTIVE, i click on the link and it brings me to the correct webpage.
As for B, after the page was created with links on iPad, i emailed B as pdf from iPad to gmail, reopen the file on iPad using Quickoffice / PDF Reader Lite, the link is NOT active, and this time, when i read B using MBP gmail, the link is NOT active as well.
Weird huh? I'm starting to sense that is the problem with iPad Pages. What say you?

What kind of adjustments are you making? Where are you looking for the previews? If you're using select list of filters or color adjustments, have you enabled 'Preview' in the dialog box?

I had this problem on SL and on Lion as well, and it occures for WiFi and Ethernet connections.
In fact the internet connection was not broken as I could ping the destination usin the IP (not DNS name).
In this case the problem was related to mDNSResponder task which handles all dns queries.
It was the most frequent problem in my day to day work with SL and now Lion. It was never fixed by any patch from Apple. I tried almost all voodoo including fresh install, all possible config changes - no solution.
The only version with no problems related to network was 10.5.8. All the other versions had issues of different kind (WiFi instability (lost signal), DNS problems (for wireless and wired connection) sometimes associated with machine sleep and wake up and sometimes with no reason.
QUESTION: Is your problem independent of the access point / router you connect to.
I must say networking was (and still is) the weakest part, besides the other OS X weaknesses I experienced during 4 years of OS X usage.
No problems in the same network with Linux or Windows beeing ran natively on my iMac So hardware is OK.
Software is of poor quality. Not much more to say in this matter.
I found a very interesting article dated 1996 about programming which I think is still valid.

'Program not working' - panorama

When I attempt to create a panorama using Photoshop Elements 9 on my recently purchased Windows 8.1 pc I get a message saying 'Program not Working' and I have to close the editor. This function was ok on my old Windows XP pc. Can anyone help?

First, quit the editor, then restart it while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep the keys down till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do. Note that if you have set the welcome screen to automatically open the editor, it won't work from that shortcut. Use the actual .exe/application file or the buttons in the organizer or on the welcome screen.

Hi Jane
There are sometimes problems calling up the template from the media database. Why not design your own? It is possible to make a collage manually in Expert Mode and its quite easy.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.

Will my programs still work when upgrading to 10.6?

I am using a MacPro with 10.5 and I want to upgrade to 10.6 but the thing is that I have some programs that I use continuously but I didn't pay for them (if you know what I mean...). Will these programs still work when I upgrade to 10.6?

10.6 is Intel only. To continue the use of older non-Intel software, that software must work with Rosetta emulation (which almost evrything does). Be sure that when you are installing 10.6, the option to add Rosetta emulation to Mac OS X 10.6 is selected.
I do not know what you mean by your comments, but if this computer is being used for Business purposes, you are taking a huge risk that someone can come after you Business profits.
