Program or function module to check the status of the DTP.

HI All,
We have scenario like we need to pop up a message for a DTP.The message should tell us the status of the DTP load like successfully loaded or not.
we have created a custom screen for hierarchy load and provided access to the customer.cutomer can able to load hierarchy on the own.once they click execute it will trigger a process chain.
process chian contains three variants startd ,inofpackge load and dtp.
we need to pop up a message once the load has been sucessfully completed or not in the custom screen which has been provided to the customer.
Please suggest.

Table RSBKDTPSTAT will provide status information either Dtp is active or INA.
we need to pop up a message once the load has been sucessfully completed or not in the custom screen which has been provided to the customer : for this need to create msg for that Dtp in PC .

NOTE: Please note that the main point explain here is that, if you are willing to change to a status Ex, NOPR, NOCO, etc then you will need to pass on the value 'I0070', 'I0072', etc. I will also go ahead and like to add one more point here to make the language check as well like "EN", 'DE', etc as these statuses are language dependent too.

Call FedEx. They will be able to track their own packages. They will let you know if your iPod Nano was delivered and to who!

Ofcourse you can use business objects in your programms/ methods.
You can use function modules or macros (available from include <cntn01>) for using business objects in your application.

Function module for Process order status

Hi techies,
I want to know the function module for process order status , idoc type is liopro01 and message type is liopro, my requirement is that based on the different status received in IDoc SAP should update the process order status, separate user status will be defined as "MO START" and "MO end" using status profile.also it has change the process order status to "TECO" also it should check the user status for "MO Abort".

But it raises an exception that destination does not exists.
But the source system connection is ok.

u have to go in EKBE table.
put the PO no. in field EBELN + EBELP(line item) and get the material docuement no. in field BELNR + BUZEI(line item).

Function module/Webservice for Sytem status overview widget

Hi,
We want to create a "System status overview" - widget, which can show very briefly an overview of which systems are up an which are down (+ some additional backgroundinfo).
(Instead of communicating system statusses via e-mail)
Therefore we are looking for a function module/webservice which provides status info of all systems linked to Solution Manager. Does anybody knows about a standard functionality which provides this information, or does an application lik that already exists?

That 's exactly the information we need, but we want to be able to create a simple display to the end user:
- without logging into the system
- displaying only a red or a green light/system
- information about all systems in all solutions
to put into the portal or even better, to put into a widget (I was thinking about using Adobe Air for this one).
To do so, I think there will be the need of a simple web service which returns a list of all systems toghether with their availability status...?

Accessing internal table of main program inside function module...

I have function module say ZFUNC and main program say ZMAIN and internal table defined as IT_TAB inside ZMAIN but not passed as parameter to Function module ZFUNC.
If I want to access the field value of IT_TAB of main program ZMAIN inside ZFUNC during debugging then, I simply put <b>(ZMAIN)IT_TAB-amount</b> in ABAP debugger and then change it when the debugger is inside ZFUNC.
How can I write code to change the value of internal table of main program in function module ZFUNC instead of doing in debugger ? I guess I have to use some field symbols, but not sure. Please suggest.

Yes, you do need to use a field symbol. Say for example, you had a internal table called IMARC in your program and you want to access it later in a funciton module, you would do something like this.
data: xmarc type marc.
field-symbols: <imarc> type marc_upl_tt.
* Assign an internal table
field = '(ZPROGRAM_NAME)IMARC[]'.
assign (field) to <imarc>.
loop at <imarc> into xmarc.
write: / xmarc-matnr, xmarc-werks.
endloop.
