Program won't work, can't wait forever for support
I don't know where else to vent, so here goes. Here's a message I just emailed to Adobe feedback:
I am calling for the 2nd time in 2 days to try to get through to tech support. As I type this, I have been on hold for 40 minutes. There is apparently no email address for support and your chat service seems to be busy all the time. I have better things to do. If by the time I finish typing this and no one picks up, I want my money back or a phone call from you to fix my problem.
I bought Photoshop Elements last month - account # xxxxxxx, license # xxxxxxxx, Mac OS 10.6.2, Firefox 3.5.8
When I try to bring up the program, I get the message "LICENSING FOR THIS PRODUCT HAS STOPPED WORKING" and I cannot use it. This is not the first such problem I had. To say the least, your support leaves a lot to be desired and I will never buy an Adobe product again. If I do not hear from you shortly, I will dispute the charge with my bank. It's now 50 minutes!!! Goodbye.
Just so's you know, you're just talking to other users here, mostly, and all we can do is sympathize--we can't do anything about tech support's many shortcomings. Did you ever have a trial version of PSE 8 or any CS4 version installed? If so, uninstall PSE and any other adobe programs, then download and run this before reinstalling:

Please find the steps to resolve your issue.
Open Installed Updates by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then, under Programs and Features, clicking View installed updates.
Click the update that you want to remove, and then click Uninstall. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Or Try this step
If this does not resolve your issue then you can try a System restore to the date where unit was working fine steps provided below for you.
Start in search box type System Restore then click on it then select the Date where unit was working fine.

Seems to be an Apple or FB app problem. Nothing you can do but wait for it to be fixed.

I've had trouble with my Macbook since the first month I bought it. I've replaced the hard drive 3 to 4 times. Now some programs won't work or shut off by itself. Is it possible to ask for a complete exchange of products?

It would appear that you can ask for an exchange but it doesn't specify any time frame... Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can add to this.

Hi there. just bought a TC, installation was succesfull, but time machine won't work. can't select Backup disk. get transferred to TC install again. Called Apple, 25 min. later no succes, have to call on monday again!!!! Can anyone help me? Thanks a lot.

iPhone 4S. Swipe to unlock wont work can only swipe up for control pannel and camera but no buttons will work cant even turn off and on as it wont work. cannot restore iphone either as it wont let me.

These are the recommended troubleshooting steps to take when you are unable to Slide to Unlock:
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.

Suddenly the apps I downloaded won't work. The screen "blinks" for a second as if the app is loading, and then returns to the home screen. All the apps that came with the iPod seem to be working fine. How to get them all working again?
First try a hard reset. To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If still no luck, try downloading another free app from the App Store.

Ok ... I have been using a Mac for years, and I know that every time a new OS update is released there are bound to be some problems, but I have never had problems with programs I bought a few weeks before the the OS update (let alone software that came with the update) was released. So as an effort to bring these problems to Apple's attention (considering a couple of the programs I run are more of a problem for Rosetta) I am starting this forum. If you have software that's buggy or doesn't work please add to the list. If you have any solutions please chime in.
- iChat (video performance, audio performance, crashes intermittently)
- Manga Studio EX 3.0 (does not work at all ... probably a problem with Rosetta, bought this app 1 month ago)
- Adobe CS3 Standard (graphical glitches, and crashes when using Adobe's Interface in Photoshop, Illustrator, Bridge, and InDesign, bought this app 1 month ago)
- Nokia Media Transfer (I know still in Beta)
- Final Cut Express 3.5 (a little unstable ... crashed a couple of times)
- Appleworks (again something with Rosetta)

Hotmail acct hacked and now Mail program won't work
It looks like my hotmail account was hacked and sent numerous spam emails to my address book. I changed my password and they seemed to have stopped, but now I cannot send/receive emails using this acct through mac mail program. I have accessed my hotmail acct thru mail for years now.
The only thing that comes up is the msg: "POP server "pop3.live.com" rejected the password for user ...
but doesnt take the password.
Now I cant send/rec from my iPhone either -- tells me the user name or password is incorrect.
The questions: would the spam issue block my hotmail acct and freeze the mail program. If so, can it be restore and how? ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED! THANKSNot certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...

I used to be able to print from my iPad to my wireless printer and then all of a sudden it won't work anymore. Does anyone know what the problem mat be?
Sorry for this issue try looking at this articals to see if your printer is still listed and if it is look over the basics and if all thats good try seeing if your printer of your iPad needs a software update.

Test waits forever for a callback from a human task
Hi,
I've create a test to test a BPEL process. Now within the BPEL process there is a call to a human task service. I've emulated the task initiation message which is fine. I also tried to emulate the receive message from the human task service but during the test execution, the test waits forever to receive the callback from the human task service, even though i've specified the return message. Would appreciate help with this! I've posted my testbpel.bpel and the test case (CreditCardInvalidTest.xml) below. For both these files I've highlighted in bold the relevant bits of code that's giving me problems. Thanks

</BPELTest>Hi hi, on a hunch I previewed the page in the browser, and copy pasted the faces/untitled1 portion of the URL there and pasted on the http://<server_address>:8001/BasicAPPDemo_Root therefore ending with http://<server_address>:8001/BasicAPPDemo_Root/faces/untitled1 and lo and behold I saw the little text box saying "Hello World" ;D
So with that i escalated, switched to the application where the page from BPM was located, deployed it and did the same trick.
But it borked it gave this error:
JBO-29115 Unable to construct the error message due to error java.lang.NullPointerException. Use the exception stack trace and error code to investigate the root cause of this exception. Root cause error code is JBO-.
I figured that the Default generation could be faulty so i created a new page and only recycled the data controls, created everything in read mode, just to test and deployed, when i tested, i was optimistic as the 1st tab didn't had any error (also does not have anything related to the HumanTask, even the data controls) the problem was in the other tabs as I show here.

Multiple Yosemite woes: programs won't start, can't enter Time Machine, etc.

I have been having Yosemite problems similar to those discussed elsewhere (e.g. iMac 27" late 2013 and Yosemite) (albeit with 10.10.1, Mid-2010 MacBook Pro): can't enter Time Machine, although it seems to be backing up; programs including Illustrator, EndNote, and Boinc don't start, or only after an hour or two (others, including Microsoft Office, seem okay). They will start normally in safe mode, but not for a newly created user. Many permission repairs carried out (seems okay except for a couple recurring printer-related messages), disk is okay, PRAM and SMC reset. Spent some time with various tech support, so most of these have been tried several times.
The solution here com.apple.xpc.launchd & com.apple.mdworker.bundles pollute logs with errors worked through one restart - there were two mystery uids, owning many files - but not through a second.
I have followed the permission repair procedure from another post (discussions.apple.com/message/27015992#27015992); the initial return was 639, and now it is 0. Restarted since then, nothing appeared to change.
Below is what I get from the test suggested in the first thread mentioned, I hope there is something informative here! I'll study it myself, but don't know what might or might not matter.

I have been having Yosemite problems similar to those discussed elsewhere (e.g. iMac 27" late 2013 and Yosemite) (albeit with 10.10.1, Mid-2010 MacBook Pro): can't enter Time Machine, although it seems to be backing up; programs including Illustrator, EndNote, and Boinc don't start, or only after an hour or two (others, including Microsoft Office, seem okay). They will start normally in safe mode, but not for a newly created user. Many permission repairs carried out (seems okay except for a couple recurring printer-related messages), disk is okay, PRAM and SMC reset. Spent some time with various tech support, so most of these have been tried several times.

Please Help me. I am having problems with my MATSHITA UJ-857E DVD-R burner/writer. I burned 4 cd's and then it stopped working.
I can select my songs, and then it asks for a blank disc. It starts preparing to write the disc,then it says,"

This is an error reported by the optical drive's firmware. The tracking servo is the servomechanism which guides the laser pickup along the track on the optical disc. The error means that the servo couldn't do its job within the programmed parameters. What it doesn't say is why.
You have to be very precise as to when this error occurs. If it occurs as you wrote, while it "starts preparing to write the disc", and not when it has actually began to burn, then it's likely that the drive has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
There are other possibilities, so you should check them, but they would be more likely if the error occurred after the drive began to write. OrangeMarlin has suggested two options -- try a different brand of CD or DVD, and try cleaning the lens. -
This program won't work for some reason
I'm having trouble with getting this program to do what I want. It reads in a file and identifies certain parts that follow the rules I've given. The first version below is one that works. It simply prints out the string if it meets the conditions in the if statements. The second one will compile but shows no data. I know it stores the values in the arrays sortstem and sortdg becuase I put the println statement directly after the code for storing them and it worked. However, when I put it where it is now, it will not work. Any suggestions? Also, I get an error after the program runs for both versions: It says exception in thread "main" Java.lang.NullPointerException at tokens.main(tokens.java.69) (this was for the first program).

But if I try to do it ouside of this loop, it will not work. The only thing I can think of is that the variable is only available inside the loop but I just can't figure it out.
