Programatically scroll a loaded pdf file

I was wondering how can I programatically scroll a loaded pdf file? I would be so thankful of any working reply.

Do you want it to scroll in the Adobe Reader program or as a part of the VI?  In the Adobe Reader option, it would depend on if Adobe has ActiveX support.  If so you can access ActiveX in LabVIEW .  However there is no inherent way to manipulate PDFs in LabVIEW other than using this method.

  • How do i stop quicktime from loading pdf files

    Why is Quick time loading pdf file and how do I stop it .

    I have the same issue with Safari opening Web PDF links in Quicktime.  When I click on a PDF URL the Quicktime logo will display in Safari, then the first page of the PDF will come up, and only the first page will be available, there is no way to scroll to subsequent pages.  I have not found any settings in Safari, Quicktime, or Adobe Reader to turn that off.  How can I get Quicktime to not be the default imbedded reader for PDF in Safari.

  • How to load PDF files into oracle database and display them in APEX

    Hi All,
    We have a requirement for loading the Loading PDF files (lots of PDf files) to the oracle database and then display the PDF files in the Oracel APEX report.
    So that User can view the PDF files. Our current APEX verison is 3.2..
    Please let me know how to implement it and where to find the sample application!
    Thanks in advanced!

    Thanks Tony for your quick response!
    We need to load a lot of PDfs (history + current).
    I have a questions about the SQL loader. I am trying to insert a pdf file into a table by following the oracle loading sample:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/text.920/a96518/aload.htm
    Example Data File: loader2.dat
    This file contains the data to be loaded into each row of the table, articles_formatted.
    Each line contains a comma separated list of the fields to be loaded in articles_formatted. The last field of every line names the file to be loaded in to the text column:
    Ben Kanobi, plaintext,Kawasaki news article,../sample_docs/kawasaki.txt,
    But i don't know to where should I put my pdf file on the server.
    for example:
    ,../sample_docs/kawasaki.txt,
    Where is the file 'kawasaki.txt'??
    I try my local path, it didn't work. like c:\temp.
    then I loaded teh PDf file into our server(/findev20/olmtest/orafin/11.5.7/olmtestcomn/temp) , and In my data file. I put the path
    1, pdf_emp1,../findev20/olmtest/orafin/11.5.7/olmtestcomn/temp
    but I got the error: the system can not find the file specified.
    Where should I put the PDf files on the server and how to specify the path in the data file?
    Thanks!

    2.another is how to load pdf file from memory?
    if i can enable plugin before file opened,and than i can read the file and decrypt it,and now i want to do is do load the decrypt file (in memory) into the adobe?
    i tried many method,but all in vain.who can help me or give me some advice?
    thanks.
    merry chrismas to everyone.

    The proper way to handle other file formats (even where it is really a PDF that has been "wrapped") is to create an AVConversionHandler.
    To load a PDF from a source other than the file system, you need to create a custom AVFileSys.

  • TS1702 iBooks won't load PDF files any more on my Ipad2. Anybody seen this one before?

    Hello All,
    iBooks won't load PDF files any more.
    I have a lot of PDF files so I thought I reached a maximum number of files or space so I deleted a lot of old files but this did not help.
    I rebooted, synced, updated, restarted, etc. - everything that I can think of and I still have the same problem.
    I don't remembered the last file that I loaded into iBooks, as I usually put them into collections.
    I can still load PDF files into other applications like PDF Reader, but I prefer to have them all in iBooks.
    Anybody seen this one before?
    I have 64GB iPad2 and I have over 14GB free space.

    There have been several threads on this topic over the last few weeks. It's not clear what the issue is, and it is not universal, but tend to effect users storing large numbers of PDFs in iBooks. Possible it has some thing to dowith capacity of the app, or specific characteristics of some of the PDFs.
    You might have a look at the "More Like This" list to the left of this page.

    Hi There,
    I have a requirement of showing PDF file in popup window or in a frame . I am using the following code
    <af:commandButton text="#{node}" useWindow="true" action="dialog:showPDF"
    actionListener="#{ReportTemplateDesigner.downloadPDFReport}" windowHeight="300" windowWidth="400" />
    and in managed bean

    ExternalContext externalContext = facesContext.getExternalContext();
    HttpServletResponse response =

    close((Closeable)bInput);

    return "dialog:showPDF";
    I can see the pdf file is loaded into the same window . Could anyone tell me is there any way to load PDF file on the same page in a frame ?

    Jsf code

  • Security error while loading pdf file in jsp in firefox?

    When i type in the following link manually in firefox as " file://///172.16.2.1/copyediting/ELS/mallet.pdf", pdf file is loaded successfully in the firefox browser. PDF file is located in remote server which is referred by IP 172.16.2.1.
    I've assigned the Same link in a String in jsp page and tested it through my tomcat application as
    <%
    String linktotest="file://///172.16.2.1/copyediting/ELS/mallet.pdf";
    %>
    <a href="<%=linktotest%>">link</a>
    when i click on the hyperlink , the pdf is not loaded in firefox and i'm getting the following error in firefox error console
    Security Error: Content at http://172.16.3.222:8080/FMS/source/journal/ProductionEntry.jsp may not load or link to file://///172.16.2.1/copyediting/ELS/mallet.pdf
    can any one please give me the solution.

    Links and forms in HTML should point to public URL´s (with http:// or https:// protocol), not to the file system (with file://).
    If those files are not public accessible by URL, then you need to create a servlet which does the file streaming task. This example may be useful then: [http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/07/fileservlet.html].

  • Loading pdf file from iPhone Documents folder into a UIWebView

    I'm currently trying to include the ability for my App to download a "pdf" file from the web,... display the image in a UIWebView,.. save it to the iPhone,... and later redisplay it in the same UIWebView while "off line". I've been able to do everything but get the web view to load/display the stored pdf file. The App finds the .pdf file...
    Here's the path it finds in the Simulator...
    Image File Path: /Users/FCR/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications/8E29ACDF-4A56-4AC2-BFA0-C4F8E00E1481/Documents/AD_K EWR.pdf
    ... but I'm not much into html and can't seem to come up with a url scheme to load the image. I've tried several attempts using the URL... "file:///" ... but so far haven't been able to get the file (which is in the iPhone's Documents folder) to display. I seem to be about one line short of a workable solution.
    Can anyone offer a bit of code (help) to accomplish this seemingly easy task of displaying it in the UIWebView?... It would be much appreciated!

    Can you please post the code snippet used to download and save the PDF to the iPhone? I did not know you could do that.
    -Ed
    Ed,... Here's the code ... I've cut and pasted from a couple different routines, but you should get the point...
    Ric
    - (BOOL)downloadPDF:(NSString *)pdfFileName
    // Download a (pdf) file
    BOOL success = NO;
    NSString *urlStr = \[NSString stringWithFormat:@"http://... web path to file .../%@", pdfFileName\];
    if(urlStr)
    NSURL *PDF_URL = \[NSURL URLWithString:urlStr\];
    NSMutableData *receivedData = \[NSData dataWithContentsOfURL: PDF_URL\];
    if(receivedData)
    success = YES;
    NSLog(@"PDF downloaded... Save it to file: %@",pdfFileName);
    NSArray *paths = NSSearchPathForDirectoriesInDomains (NSDocumentDirectory, NSUserDomainMask, YES);
    if (paths.count > 0)
    NSString *documentsDirectory = \[paths objectAtIndex:0\];
    NSString *filePath = \[documentsDirectory stringByAppendingPathComponent: pdfFileName\];
    if(\[receivedData writeToFile:filePath atomically:YES\])
    success = YES;
    NSLog(@"Saved file: %@",filePath);
    else
    NSLog(@"Failed to save PDF to: %@",filePath);
    return success;
    }
