Programmatically choosing the dll and function within the dll
LabVIEW 2013
I have a top-level UI application, basically a test executive, from which I want to execute external VIs, the tests, that are identified at run-time. I think that means compiling my test VIs into DLLs and then accessing the test VIs from the DLLs. The problem I have is that I do not know how to specify the VI to the Call Library Function at run-time.
Also, since all of this is LabVIEW code, is there an easier way than using the DLLs? Maybe an llb or packed library? And how would I use these?

Default VIs include the compiled code.
Maybe you should also take a look into TestStand.
That being said, "Plug In" is (as already stated several times) the keyword you have to look for using Example finder, ni.com and even google.com (referring lavag.org and similar sites).

Identifying Loads and Stores within the LSU block of OpenSPARC T1
I am trying to find a signal or a group of signals within the LSU block of the OpenSPARC T1 which will inform me that a new load or store has arrived.
I'm setting up a counter for each new load and for each new store that I observe, so ideally I want to have two signals, e.g. isLD and isST, that I could create from existing signals to signal the proper increment of my counter.
The micro-architectural specs are not specific enough and though I have searched through the blocks signals by running simulations and observing wave dumps, I cannot seem to locate what I need.

Thanks for your reply. I've read the L1 Dcache part of the OpenSPARC T1 Microarchitecture Specification, however, I still cannot figure out the meaning and function of some signals. I think I have to read other parts of the OpenSPARC T1 Microarchitecture Specification, in order to know more about the meaning of abbreviations in OpenSPARC codes.
As for my project, my main aim is to be clear about the OpenSparc L1 Dcache. Since members in our group are all newcomers to OpenSparc, our director hopes that we can get some practical technics by reading OpenSparc codes.

My iTunes will not start. The box on the error message APSDaemon.exe, And message says "This application failed to start because MSVC80.dll was not found. Reinstalling may fix." I did the reinstall and I get the same error. The error first happened after I approved the an iTurns update.
Same problem today. Took five times to reinstall without any error messages. Apple has posted a way to fix and you should follow their's first. I finally got to upldate correctly by doing their fix but with one difference. I did the following:
1) Went to the C:\program files (x86)\iTunes and C:\program files\iTunes folders and moved every file ending in .dll to the desktop (even if two files in same location had the same name, just replace)
2) Restarted computer and still got error message
3) Uninstalled all apple programs possible in the following order......itunes, apples software update, apple mobile device support, bonjour, and apple application support.....all performed using the microsoft control panel
4) put all the .dll files on the desktop in the trash and emptied (this is a step apple support did not specifically put in their fix but for a final try I wanted to delete everything apple).
5) Restarted computer.
6) Re-installed itunes from apple website
No error messages during re-install and was able to open shortcut in one try. Even updated my ipad to make sure everything was working. -
How do I prevent other Mac users from changing my Airport Extreme Network Name and Password within the Airport Utility? My company is using an Airport Extreme in our office now and I want to prevent other employees from messing with the network/settings. Is there a way to place a password on the settings to allow only the admin to access the network name and password?
Hi - you have will have to change the device passwords on all the base stations and then don't give them to anyone except the administrators and tell them not to save them on their computers that use the older versions of the Airport Utility - for the newer versions like the mobile apps, as soon as you enter the pasword it is saved and is visible in the advanced pane along with the network password - so if anyone gets a hold of your iPad or iPhone, they can edit the whole network - I have this same issue with my networks in the office and it is inconvenient but doable - I hope this helps

Have you tried a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release?

TO_DATE - How do I pass the date and time to the function

I am writing a PL/SQL code. The code has a simple cursor,
For the criteria, I am using a column called 'created' which is a date column, and the to_date function.
I would like to pass the date and time to the to_date fuction as a parameter, date_value, as shown below.

I've tried declaring a bind variable,
date_value date := '&1'
but no joy.
Any ideas would be welcomed.

I am on OSX 10.7.5 and recently had to reinstall it due to 'mail' not working correctly. That problem was resolved but now my I can't use the 'right click' function on the apple usb mouse. I only have a previous version re-install disc as I bought the latest OSX off the app store. Any help gratefully received?
Hmmm, no, no drivers needed, now it sounds like a bad install... unless you might have some old Mouse software installed???

Bootup holding CMD+r, or the Option/alt key to boot from the Restore partition & use Disk Utility from there to Repair the Disk, then Repair Permissions.
If that doesn't help Reinstall the OS. -
I purchased 2 large bags of cell phones at a surplus/lost and found auction. The owner of this phone lost it, and didn't pick it up at the lost and found within 90 days and the phone was put up at auction. By law I am the new legal owner of the phone. The person who lost it locked their phone but didn't bother going to look for it. Not my problem. I went to the Apple store with my auction receipt and they said they still can't erase the old owner's account from the phone, and I need their receipt and their permission. There has to be some way around that. I legally purchased it after they lost it and neglected to pick it up within the time frame the law gave them to pick it up. Basically the Apple Store employee told me I was **** out of luck and the phone is basically garbage.
You were correctly informed. You are the new, legal owner of a beautiful paper weight. There is no way around it. This is a security protection to prevent people who steal them from getting value from the stolen item.

Redirecting to a function within a DLL
In the online Help file I created, I have a custom button
that links to an external web page and opens in a separate Browser.
I've currently got a redirect.htm file that triggers this action.
Instead, I'd like to link to a function within a DLL file.
This function opens a dialog box that displays our knowledge base.
I can't link directly to the knowledge base because product mgmt
doesn't want the address to display in the browser.
Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?

I downloaded 200 photos, an event folder was created, I could see all the photos and was in the process of editing them when I got a message that iPhoto unexpectedly quit. I cannot find the photos anywhere on my computer now. Is there anything to do?
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.
