Project is suddenly blank when I open it

Hello, I started using iDVD 6.0.3 a week ago and began creating a DVD slideshow with pictures from a recent trip. Everything was going fine, though I did have one silent quit of the program, when yesterday I got two of these quits. When I opened the project again, everything is blank. I can choose to see the map of the project, and there I see that everything's not lost. It's just that now the theme, the menu, nothing appears - the project is essentially lost. These "silent quits" occurred when I was working in a submenu and clicked the arrow to return to the main menu. iDVD suddenly just disappears and I need to restart it.
I'm using a two-week old MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz on OS 10.4.10 with all the lastest updates. I've tried deleting com.apple.iDVD.plist and the themes package and reinstalling, but none of these choices worked. Any help for a fledgling Mac user would be appreciated.

I downloaded OnyX and cleared all of the caches - I didn't see anything about the cron maintenance script however.
It's strange, I can start iDVD and look at my project's map, but I can't click away from the Themes button and I can't see anything in the main window, or see anything when I play the DVD.

I have done a complete uninstall and re install of iTunes and all related apple programs from my laptop through control panel, add remove programs and also by going through program files and deleting all tracers of any left over folders remove programs may have missed.

Same problem here -- latest 10.6.8 on a Santa Rosa Mac Book with 6 GB of RAM -- Safari 5.1.10 and iTunes 11.2.2 -- noticed that the song lists don't display, just a blank area where the song listing SHOULD display -- shows a slider to the right, but nothing on the list. Can play online radio just fine -- main default iTunes store window looks normal, and I can select one of the songs from the default store window, and it plays just fine -- but if I search for Fleetwood Mac or Boston, of which iTunes carries both, song list comes up blank -- other Fleetwood Mac non-song offering show normally.
Hold on -- now it is WORKING -- I used Safari to log into this Apple Help section using my active Apple ID, and I was presented with some sort of Apple license agreement and checkbox before I was able to proceed to this help section to comment -- I wonder if iTunes was hung up because I had not yet agreed to the latest Apple ID User(?) license agreement, but iTunes was not showing me the agreement so that I could check the box, etc.
Anyone having this problem, double-check that Apple has you on record per the latest license agreement -- my iTunes was showing that I was logged in using my correct Apple ID (only have one), but never displayed anything about a license agreement -- only when I logged into this Apple trouble-shooting help section via Safari was I presented with a license agreement update notification screen -- which, once agreed, seems to have cleared up my iTunes Store song list blanking problem.

Mail applications is blank when I open it, then it closes and opens again by itself, keeping blank

In my Ipad, when I open Mail application it is blank. It stays like this for a few seconds, then it closes and open again by itself. Keeping all time blank.

Have you tried to force quit the app. Double tap the home button. Scroll sideways if needed to bring the mail app preview up on the screen. Flick that preview up and off the screen to close the app. Tap on the home page preview to exit the mode. Then try your mail again.
Other things people have needed to do, especially after an update is to go into the settings, mail contacts and calendars, delete their mail account (it only deletes it off the iPad not out of existence) then exit out, go back i and re-enter the info.

My document is blank when I open it in Pages, you can see it in page preview but I can't edit or anything, help?

Please can anyone help? I am opening a saved file which I can see in the template, but when I open it the page is blank. When I go to print I can see it there but I can't edit or anything!!!

I could see the contents of Pages & Numbers files is previews, but they were blank when opened. Apple tech support--in an hour long call--managed to find a fix for my issue. I hope it works for you.
Concurrently to the seemingly blank files, my computer happened to be slowing down & stalling a lot, but while related to the problem, I don't know that this is a necessary symptom of anyone else's.
We deleted all the cache files in the ~/Libary/Caches folder, & emptied the trash. It said some files were in use, so we restarted and finished the trash disposal. Then we started up Pages & Numbers, and it was all good! My computer went back to its normal snappy responses too.
I am sure someone could possibly narrow down which cache files might be causing an issue. But give this a try.
By the way, I am running Pages 9, on Mountain Lion 10.8.4 (recently updated) on a MacBook Pro. Disk Utility found preferences and disk verify normally. Activity Monitor showed no excessive CPU use and there was no shortage of hard drive space. The problem was reproducable in safe mode. Deleting plists for iWork had no positive result. As for the slowdown, sometimes the computer would get stuck in spinning beach ball mode for a while, or freeze. The only think that worked was the cache purge.

Why are some of my iBooks blank when I open them on my macbook Air?

I bought Jim Cramer's book on ibooks today. I can read it on my phone, and it appears in iBooks on my Macbook Air, but when I open it on my Macbook Air, it's blank. I then noticed that some of my opther books are also blank here, though not all of them.

Blue messages are iMessages; green are regular sms.

Hi caesarome I have tried to set it up again by choosing Yahoo from the list of providers - but that just took me into a 'set up Yahoo email' page (sign in or create account) . I couldn't use my sky email address or password in doing that. I now have a new yahoo email account [email protected] that I don't want. On the ipad mail it just shows an empty inbox for my Yahoo email (although my sky email address is still there under settings>mail) - no sent, trash, drafts etc. I have also followed other advice that sets up the email again using 'other' provider but changes the host names under incoming and outgoing mail server to apple.imap.mail.yahoo.com and apple.smtp.mail.yahoo.com That hasn't worked either. The iphone (with exactly the same settings that I had on the ipad before messing around) works fine!

I filled in a Word pdf document, sent it to a client who uses Word in Windows 7 and the form appears blank when they open it. They can read the form, but nothing that I filled in. Help!

I was sent a lengthy pdf form that required me to enter data onto it. The sentences appeared compressed on my screen, but I could see everything that I entered. Next emailed it to my boss and when he opened it on his Windows 7 with Word, all of the data that I had entered appeared lost. It was as if I hadn't entered anything on the form. So I asked him to send it back to me. He did and when I opened it on my Mac Book Air, all of the information that I had filled in was there on my screen.
This went back and forth a few times, but the result was always the same. I have been requested to complete the form on a Windows based computer, which will take me hours. Any ideas what causes this problem and how to fix it?

What has this to do with Pages? You probably did this in Preview.

Why does my Bookmark Toolbar appear blank when I open Firefox 8.x but is filled after unclicking that toolbar in View and reclicking?

When I open Firefox, the Bookmark toolbar is there but a solid gray. I can restore the icons by clicking View, Toolbars, Bookmar to unselect the Bookmark toolbar, and then repeat the process to select the Bookmark toolbar. This is an annoyance repeated every time I open Firefox. How do I get out of this loop and just have the Toolbar appear populated with icons automatically?

Have you done any customization to the Bookmarks Toolbar? Like adding Spaces or a Flexible Space to the Bookmarks Toolbar. 
Does an overflow chevron >> appear on the right-side of the Bookmarks Toolbar?
Try the Firefox SafeMode to see how it works there.

From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab.
Click: Remove All Website Data
Then delete the cache.
Open a Finder window. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy paste the following
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db
Click Go then move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that didn't help, troubleshoot Safari extensions.
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.
In the future when you post for help, please mention which OS X is installed on your Mac.

My browser is blank when i open it, nothing is diplayed, i am running windows 7 and 3.6.11 en-US version firefox

What happens if you click on a bookmark, does that open.
if it does try changing your home page.
Before you that open your home page, if you have Adblock Plus, right click on the ADP toolbar or status bar icon and bring up blockable items list. See if stuff is blocked and what filter is blocking it. Also use the view menu to view the source of your hme page.

HT1338 pdf attachments and excel spreadsheet attachments are opening as winmail.dat and the pages are blank when you open them.

All of a sudden the e-mail attachments I send to my MacBook Pro from my PC Laptop open up as winmail.dat as a blank sheet of paper. This only started happening within the last week. Before that everything was fine. I check my PC and confirmed the attachments are set up to be sent in HTML. Any suggestions?

I am having the same issue.
Luckily I have only migrated my own mailbox to office365.
Tried both true and false TNEFEnabled on both onpremise and office365 via powershell and confirmed that both have been applied.
If I send the email as a plain text then the attachment works ok. If I send it as HTML then I get winmail.dat.
The above KB doesnt really help me, sending plain text emails is like going back to the dark ages!
I am sending from outlook to outlook (I send from my external email address, to my work email address and visa-versa)
If someone with an onpremise mailbox sends me an email, the attachment works ok.
If someone sends me an attachment via hotmail, the attachment works ok.
It seems to only effect emails I send to myself through outlook, i am sending it through a POP3 account to our onpremise exchange 2010 which forwards the email to office365

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
