Project website generation

hi,
maven has an ability to generate a project website, but i'm finding it hard to use. I was wondering if anyone knows of any other tools that do this alone (maven seems to do an awful lot more which i don't want to use..)

what do you mean with "project website"?you give it the metadata about your project (where you keep tests, what source code metrics you're interested in) and options (whether you x-ref generation, javadoc generation etc..) and it generates a project website.

I think everything under "Project Documentation" is automatically generated
am thinking that biting the bullet and sitting down for a few hours with maven is probably the way to go, but I don't want to have the project dependent on it - just use its website generation features
To create a simple Internet website you could use
Macromedia Dreamweaver or Microsoft Frontpage...he he

Hi Raju,
it seems like you have a version problem, try to use jdk 1.4 or higher and try.
Or go to
Prefrences --> Java --> Installed JRE's here change the Jdk to the latest,compatable version
Sometimes reinstallation also solves such problems.

CProjects 4.0 - Project ID Generation

Hi All,
The number ranges could be used in cprojects 3.1 to automate the project/ object ids using IF_EX_DPR_ATTRIBUTES~SET_DEFAULTS_UPON_CREATION.
Does anyone know how the project id can be generated using number ranges in 4.0 ?
Also, how this field can be set to display only.

Hi,
In order to change the behaviour of a particular field on cProjects screen, use Field Control cncept of cProject 4.0
Make sure you donot make any changes in the standard SAP settings that are given. Copy the standard setting to make modifications to it.

Projecting website with iPad

Hello,
We have just launched our new online store and I rented a meeting to present it to our partners.
The issue is that when I conect my iPad to the existing projector the website appears distorted with mixed up menu and text.
On the iPad itself it is OK. Also on my iPhone 4S appears OK. The website is: www.rivo.ro
Does the iPad has some special settings for Projector ? Should I do something special ?

You'll be waiting a long time then. The iPad has never been touted as a laptop replacement. There will always be things that are better done on a laptop or desktop computer. iPad simply isn't designed for or intended to be used for all the functions a laptop is.

Website won't update changes without clearing history/cache?

I am in charge of a construction project website that I update weekly for a local community. I make the updates and the files upload to the server correctly, but webpages' changes do not show up for me unless I clear my history, or put a "?" at the end of the url. This is fine for me to do this, but for visitors who bookmark my website and/or visit it frequently, I don't think it is realistic to have each visitor clear their history each week before visiting the website. What can I do so that they see the updates easily? Thank you for any suggestions.

If you want to prevent the files from being cached at all, you can add the following <meta> tags in the <head> of the page:
<meta http-equiv="Pragma" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="Cache-control" content="no-cache">
<meta http-equiv="Expires" content="-1">
However, this won't necessarily affect the behaviour of proxy servers. Some ISPs use proxy servers to store web pages to speed up their delivery. If you're having to clear your cache each time, it could be a proxy server that's not being cleared on a regular basis.

Do you mean Oracle as backend or still feel java as backend ?

HTML5 SSL's Merged Projects

My question concerns Upgrading a Merged Topics project into HTML5. The Help documentation on Robohelp 10 says this on page 299: "Upgraded project. When you upgrade a project, RoboHelp adds screen profiles but does not add any new SSL or screen layout. After upgrading a project, add screen layouts from the Gallery. Add a new SSL of the Multiscreen HTML5 type, configure the Multiscreen HTML5 SSL as required, and generate output."
I have two questions
1 "Do the HTML5 SSL's I set in the parent project control the output of the child projects? Or do I need to copy and generate the child projects with the same SSL as the parent? Any guidance on this will be appreciated.
2. Once upgraded into HTML5 should the parent project open to the child at the top of my TOC automatically as before (WebHelpPro). On my first attempts it did not.
The project has been working flawlessly on Robohelp 10 compiled in WebHelpPro.

Hi Mike,
Multiscreen HTML5 SSL is very powerful as compared to WebHelp Pro as it gives you many option to customise your output.
1) Parent and child project are two different entities and they need to be generated individually. Also, as it is with WebHelp output that child project needs to be generated inside "mergedProjects" folder(or copy child project after generation) same needs to be followed for Multiscreen HTML5 output as well.
2) Once parent and child has been upgarded and Multiscreen HTML5 output is generated at appropriate location then merged TOC(parent+child) will be visible automatically

Subdomain to separate website URL

I have a URL unitedsecurityfinancial.com hosted with NameBright with nameservers going through BusinessCatalyst
and a company we hired to manage servicing of our mortgages provided us with a website that we can have our borrowers log in to view their loan data and make payments https://estatusii.loanware.com/index.cfm?url_id=269008
They suggested that we create a CNAME record myloan.unitedsecurityfinancial.com that sends them to https://estatusii.loanware.com/index.cfm?url_id=269008 but I am not finding a way to do it in the Business Catalyst Domain settings... Looking to see if there's something I'm missing or another way I need to go about it.

You can check the installed Languages: Tools > Options > Content > Languages
There is usually a link on such websites choose a language or go to an international version that allows to choose the language.

How to change website assets when...

Hi all
Last year my machine was fried by a power surge. On it was obviously iWeb 08 and all of my assets / iWeb project files etc. I'm pretty sure I have a BUP of the assets from my System Drive but have to track it down off my BUP drives, which isn't a problem. My real problem is working out what needs to be where to restore my project / website build or whatever I should call it. I need advice on what files / file types I would be looking at finding in what directories etc and then where to place them on my new machine. And also how to reauthor / redirect URL navigation or anything else like this...??
BTW I have a feeling I may even have a clone of my System Drive somewhere - I will look for it today however am wanting to pre empt / source any initial information I can in the meantime.

With Skype open click on your display name OR press "Ctrl-I" on your keyboard. This will bring up your profile. Architectural Transplant Project Release

The Transplant project provides the capability for simulating portions of real-world, full-system workloads on the OpenSPARC RTL. The key idea is to "transplant" architectural register and memory state from full-system functional simulators such as SAM and Simics to the RTL model. This process allows RTL simulation for workloads such as operating systems and databases that are otherwise too slow to simulate or require resources (e.g., I/O) that are not modeled in RTL.
This release has simulated several million cycles of user and system-level execution on the RTL, transplanted from a booted Niagara system running Solaris 10. I/O through the serial console is also supported.

Web Service Import Error - Can't Create Project Library

Hello,
I'm haiving an issue importing a particular .NET web service using the import wizard. I'm running .NET 2.0 framework and LV8.2. I have followed this tutorial and successfully got a few simple services working. I can successfully import an use simple web services like this one with no issues, but when I attempt to import a local web service I keep experienceing the same error at the end of the import, the error is:
The following errors/warnings occurred when generating the local proxy dll and VI wrappers for this web service.
Can't Create Project Library.
Project Library Generation Failed.
Possible Reasons:
1) The imported project library has a conflicting name with a project library already in memory.
2) The imported VIs have conflicting names with VIs already in memory.
Close the project library and VIs and reimport the Web Service.

I seriously doubt that the error is actually caused by 1 or 2, I think this is just the default message for some other error. I have cleaned all previous failed projects from the userlibs and opened and closed the program, restarted etc... I have also tried this and got the same error with another machine running .NET 1.1 and LV8.2, same error.
The service's WSDL page seems to be working correctly, LV sees the availble functions and lists them correctly for import, it just always fails when creating the DLL wrappers.
I have included the WDSL XML file for reference.
Anyone have any ideas for fixing this?

Hi Adam,
Some of the functions in your project library may have the same names as some of the inbuilt functions in LabVIEW or any loaded functions in the memory.
Try closing down all other programs and see if it works.
What are the names of the functions you are using?
You may have to rename them to remove the naming conflict, but you did mention that you don’t think that it’s because of one of those reflected conflicts!!
SubVIs being generated may have the same name as some LabVIEW inbuilt functions which may be causing the problem.
Could you please provide the header file to see the names of the functions?

I'm using the Wizard for importing a webservice. Everything works fine until I try to generate the VI-library. I always get the following error:

I tried the following:
- closing all open VIs and LabVIEW projects
- closing all other programs
- restart the PC
- different Webservices
Nothing helped. It also must be possible to program the wrapper VIs manually. But I didn't find any useful example code anywhere, and the documentation about webservices with LabVIEW is very poor.

Change search engine to specific website url

I have problem changing the search engine url for both url address bar, and the search engine plugin. My Firefox version is 35.
Specifically, I want to use Google.co.uk for every search, but it goes to different country of Google.
I tried changing the about:config->keyword.URL: value: "https://www.google.co.uk/#q=" , but it doesn't work,
I also tryied changing the search engin plugin, which doesn't work either.

How to make a website fit to browser window?

How to make your created flash catalyst project/website fit to every window browser size?
This means that I want it to fit in the window size, because I don't want the browser to create scroll bars since I have them inside my project...

I have tried this a number of ways and it makes no difference. This is where I am with it right now in FB4.
I would love to get this to work. If anyone can help me with it please?
