Webservice: Can't Create Project Library

I'm using the Wizard for importing a webservice. Everything works fine until I try to generate the VI-library. I always get the following error:
.NET Web Service Proxy Tool Report for Web Service: iptocountry

2. The imported VIs have conflicting names with VIs already in memory.

I tried the following:
- closing all open VIs and LabVIEW projects
- closing all other programs
- restart the PC
- different Webservices
Nothing helped. It also must be possible to program the wrapper VIs manually. But I didn't find any useful example code anywhere, and the documentation about webservices with LabVIEW is very poor.
Thaks for every help!

Hi Adam,
Some of the functions in your project library may have the same names as some of the inbuilt functions in LabVIEW or any loaded functions in the memory.
Try closing down all other programs and see if it works.
What are the names of the functions you are using?
You may have to rename them to remove the naming conflict, but you did mention that you don’t think that it’s because of one of those reflected conflicts!!
SubVIs being generated may have the same name as some LabVIEW inbuilt functions which may be causing the problem.
Could you please provide the header file to see the names of the functions?
Hopefully this helps!!

  • Web Service Import Error - Can't Create Project Library

    Hello,
I'm haiving an issue importing a particular .NET web service using the import wizard.  I'm running .NET 2.0 framework and LV8.2.  I have followed this tutorial and successfully got a few simple services working.  I can successfully import an use simple web services like this one with no issues, but when I attempt to import a local web service I keep experienceing the same error at the end of the import, the error is:
The following errors/warnings occurred when generating the local proxy dll and VI wrappers for this web service.

    ionService.lvlib
I seriously doubt that the error is actually caused by 1 or 2, I think this is just the default message for some other error.  I have cleaned all previous failed projects from the userlibs and opened and closed the program, restarted etc...  I have also tried this and got the same error with another machine running .NET 1.1 and LV8.2, same error.
The service's WSDL page seems to be working correctly, LV sees the availble functions and lists them correctly for import, it just always fails when creating the DLL wrappers.
I have included the WDSL XML file for reference.
Anyone have any ideas for fixing this?
    Thanks,
    Adam

  • Xcode Can't Create Projects

Yesterday I tried to create a new C++ project, but Xcode gave me a cannot-create-project error. When I looked at where the project folder was supposed to be, though, it was there and it seemed fine, so I tried to open it, but Xcode said that the project file couldn't be parsed. Today the option to create a C++ project has disappeared completely, though when I look in ~/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Project Templates/Application, the template is still there. What's going on and how do I fix this?

    OMG so many questions lol
    K T asked:
    What version Xcode?
    v3.2.5, Intel / 64-bit
    K T asked:
What is the path to the installed location?
/Developer/Applications/Xcode.app . I think it's the default; it should be in any case.
    K T asked:
Did you move anything outside of /Developer?
Um, no? I did create custom project and file templates, but those are at ~/Library/Application Support/Developer/Shared/Xcode/Project Templates and ~/Library/[…]/Xcode/File Templates , respectively. /Developer should be at its default state plus updates. If need be, I can Time Machine it back, or even nuke it and reinstall from the Snow Leopard install disc.
    K T asked:
How much free space on your HD?
Plenty. 8.71 gigs according to the Finder; the readout seems to be staying the same, but it always varies a bit from my experience due to scheduled syncs, etc., so assume ~8 gigs to be safe.
    K T asked:
    Using FileVault?
Not on this computer. I do sync most of my entire home folder (Developer folder included) with its counterpart on two other computers (of which one uses FileVault) , however.
One more thing to note is that I did edit the .xcodeproj file in the template a bit. However, I tested it several times while I was editing it, and once more afterwards by creating a new project. All of these tests worked fine, and I still have that project created with the template with the modified .xcodeproj file. There are no problems with parsing any of the files. I thought one of my automatic syncs might have corrupted the template .xcodeproj file, so I Time Machine'd it back from a known-good copy, and tried to create a project, but got the same error.

  • Can't create Project from the Template or access project template

    Dear Experts,
We are facing a issue while trying to access the project template/create the project from project template.
we have 4 project template in place and of these two are working perfectly fine but
From remaining two we are not being able to create project and even templates are not accesible , whenever we are trying to access the project template system rotates a circle for some time and keeps us on the same page.
Even when we are trying to create project from the same template, system does the same again rotates the circle for some time and keeps us on the same screen.
And System is not throwing any error for the same (we have checked in the log as well) just not letting us in and not allowing us to create project.
Any Help Will be Highly Appreciated.
    Regards,
    Rakesh Daiya

    Dear Experts,
We were able to find out the issue,
We added 3 groups to the template with "Reviewer" access with "Document Only" Type in the project template.
When we changed the type to "Template and Document" from "Document Only" and  system started allowing us to create projects from the template.
Can anyone please help me with one query,
Can we add a group(which includes all the buyers) with reviewer access and with Document only type?
Does this really be a reason behind projects are not getting created from template?
    Any help will be appreciated
    Regards,

  • Can't Create Projects

  • How can I create projects larger than 7GB?

I want to creat a project and it will be very large... over 10GB. I know that because I finnished only two thirds of it and it already 7GB size (I get the warnning message all the time)
Is there any way to create a larger projects? I dont want to burn it on a disc... I just want to save it as an image file, and play it from there...
If there's a way to make my project smaller so it can fit a Dual-Layer disc will also be a bless...
    Thank you all!!
    Naor

Yes. It is not the size in GB of your project. I have had many projects that were between 60 and 100 GB, but under the time lime.
It is theTIME limitation that iDVD is complaining about to you. A single-layer DVD can hold 120 minutes of content, including menus and submenus. A double-layer DVD can hold twice that much, 240 minutes total. Your project exceeds the capacity of even a double-layer DVD because it is too long to burn on one DVD.
To burn DVDs with that many minutes, you will need to split your project and burn it to two DVDs, so that each part is not longer than 240 minutes total time. This is the same for creating disk image files. They cannot exceed the total time limits.
I have seen reports of supercompressing data using Toast, so that you can fit more content onto a disk, but I have not used it this way, and I think you are probably trying to put too much onto one disk even for Toast. Maybe others have done this and can give your their experiences with Toast's limitations.

  • Could you explain me, how can i create project in Primavera using BPM 11g

I found an example of workflow here, but I can't repeate it:
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/indexes/samplecode/primavera-1551981.html
I opened an example in BPM, and found that most of external references are "Web service". Could somebody describe me main steps of creating a Project in Primavera using Workflows or could you give me a link to tutorial.
    Thanks a lot for help.

With Windows Explorer, navigate to your C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support folder.
Copy the libxml2.dll that you should find there, navigate to the nearby Mobile Device Support folder, and Paste it in there also.
Reboot and see if all is well
In case that your OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
      1. Open windows explorer, go to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
    2. Copy file "libxml2.dll"
    3. Open new windows explorer, to to location C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support
    4. Paste file "libxml2.dll" to the location.
    5. Reboot your computer, it should not display that message, it should be clear.
    Good Luck

  • Can't create projects with loops longer than 1 second

This is weird - In garage band, if I try to drag and drop one of Apple's pre-made loops into a new project and that loop is any longer than one second I will get the following error message:
    Result Code = -5000
    File = GarageBand-Temp-21B25E84.tmp
(the temp file name, of course, changes each time)
I have used GarageBand for years with no problem. I have upgraded to Lion a couple months ago. However, I have also upgraded GarageBand. Currently running version 6.0.4 (427.84).
Very frustrating. Anybody have any ideas how to resolve?

Finally called Apple and got it figured out
    1. Went to a new user and tried creating a GarageBand song there. That worked so isolated that it was some kind of problem with the user account
    2. Went back to user library and looked at Preferences again. Threw out all of the following (which I had done previously)
    com.apple.garageband.cs
    com.apple.garageband.LSSharedFileList.plist
    com.apple.garageband.LSSharedFileList.plist.lockfile
    com.apple.garageband.plist
    com.apple.garageband.plist.lockfile
Also threw out (which I had not done previously)
    com.apple.iApps.plist
    com.apple.iApps.plist.lockfile
In the process found a bunch of other files that Apple thinks were created in error during upgrade. All started with com.apple.iApps.plist.xxxxxxx (X's represent random alpha numeric sequences). Threw those all out
    3. Also, in user library, went to Caches and threw away com.apple.garageband.
    4. Restarted computer
    Problem solved.

  • How can I create projects with identical settings?

    Hi,
I'm using FM10 and RH9 and have just completed my first project of generating WebHelp output
from a framemaker book. Hopefully, completed subeject to feedback...
I now have three other manuals to produce, much larger and more detailed, but with almost
identical settings. What is the easiest way to ensure that I keep all the settings I've made in
RH in the new projects, without duplicating all the effort. Could anyone pass on any tips please.
Also, can anyone let me know if there's anything I should be careful to avoid when trying to
    duplicate settings for projects.
Many thanks in advance & best wishes,
    Karen
PS Apologies for the duplicate posting, have just been advised this would be better here than in RH HTML.

And now, for an answer to the question!
Basically you would just copy your desired project to a new folder. Then rename it. Then you would re-link to the new Frame stuff and do as Jeff suggested and use an ISF. (I think)
I'm a bit confused with the ISF bit, so others will have to guide you on that aspect.
    Cheers... Rick

  • How can I create packages procedure & function in user-define Library

    hi.
i am already created packages procedure & function in database and use so on.
now i would like to create these in library file.
please anyone give me example of any procedure or function to store in library.
    thanks
    Ali

<FONT FACE="Arial" size=2 color="2D0000">> please send me one simple example for create library
then create any function in library.
2nd is any package can be create in library or not??
    Thanks S.K
    AliHave you checked the link?
    A simple example is provided.
I think What I understood from your post is that, you want to put function/ Proc and want to call that as Library ..
    Which is not  possible.
For exampel an external routine is a third-generation language procedure stored in a
dynamic link library (DLL), registered with PL/SQL, and called by the DBA to perform
    special-purpose processing.
In Unix a dynamic link library is known as a shared object (so).
At run time, PL/SQL loads the library dynamically, then calls the routine as if it were a
PL/SQL subprogram. To safeguard our database, the routine runs in a separate address
space, but it participates fully in the current transaction. Furthermore, the routine can
make a call back to the database to perform SQL operations.
To identify a DLL we have to use CREATE LIBRARY command.
The CREATE LIBRARY command is used to create a schema object, library, which
represents an operating-system shared library, from which SQL and PL/SQL can call
external third-generation-language (3GL) functions and procedures.

  • Can't create events

    Hi,
I am using iMovie 2011, on a Macbook Air late-2012 with Mountain Lion 10.8.2. I can't create events or projects in iMovie. I am getting the following error message :
    Can't create event.
The import was canceled. You may not have permission to write to /iMovie Events.localized.
It seems to think that the "iMovie Events" folder is in the System root. In fact, if I create a folder in the system root (bad practice), it works, but then I can't create projects. Creating a folder called "iMovie Projects" in the system root doesn't work because iMovie can't write to the folder. Now, I don't want either of those folders in the system root, I want them in ~/myusername/Movies, like they're supposed to be. I don't know why iMovie thinks they should be in the system root. Is there any way to reset this setting? I have tried deleting iMovie pref files, reinstalling iMovie, etc. but nothing seems to work. Any ideas? Thanks,
    C.

I would suggest calling Apple at the Contact Us link at the bottom right of this page. Your MBA should be still under warranty, so the call should not cost you anything (but verify).

  • Can we create custom activity in CPO 2.3?

Just like creating a library of customized processes, can we create a library of customized activities in CPO such that our workflow designers can drag and drop the customized activity to modify an existing process/workflow. After dragging and dropping the acitivity, one can change the values in that activity if needed to complete the workflow modification.
    thanks.

No you cannot create activities. Those are developed and compiled into the code.
There is a concept of atomic processes however that is very advanced content authoring. Basically if you have it enabled (btw it's officially not supported), you can write processes and then enable it to be an atomic. Then when someone else looks at it , they will see it as an activity. This is really meant for internal cisco authors (in the BU) only.
Is there a good reason to hide the insides from the end users? I mean you can drag and drop other processes into a main process. You can change the icon of the process, etc as well. It would just show up under the "processes" workspace.

  • Packed Project Library Shared With OI?

I have an application which needs to share some resources/instruments with TestStand steps.  The requirements require the application to communicate with these resources/instruments with or without the TestStand Engine running.
I understand that the suggested approach is to ONLY place instrumentation code in a test sequence.  However, what is the best approach if the application requirements dictate the resource/instrument must be shared?
Can a packed project library be shared with the operator interface?
Is a source distribution the only option?
    CLA, CTA
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    > What Language are you using?
    LabVIEW
    > Is it possible to get a more detailed explanation of what you are trying to do?
Read and write from instruments in both my Code Modules and my Operator Interface
Implement Diagnostic Panels without requiring the TestStand Engine
When the TestStand engine is not running, I would like to read and write from the instruments in debug panels on the operator interface.
Implement Status Panels without requiring the TestStand Engine
During a TestStand Sequence, I only wish to read from the instruments in the operator interface (IO status panels).
Implement a few high-speed timed loop state machines within LabVIEW.  These loops must start running as soon as the application is launched and for the lifetime of the application.  I would like to share the state/data of these loops with TestStand and allow a command/response interface.
    > It is possible in TestStand to run the test Sequence in a independent execution as long as it has the references to the source files.
What if I want to start a VI that talks with an instrument.  Why can't I open a serial port in the OI and pass the session to the TestStand API?
Why is is "better" to call a Code Module VI in a new execution vs just calling the VI from the Operator Interface?  For example, if I want to display the "status panel" of a digital input card...
    > You mentioned that you need the program to sometimes run even if TestStand is not running, will these programs ever be running at the same time?
There will only be a single application that launches the TestStand Engine.
The idea is that the program utilizes the TestStand engine to run automated tests.  I would like to allow the OI to read the current values (status panels) while TestStand both reads and writes.
    Additional Questions
I would like to understand how TestStand executes LabVIEW VIs differently with the Development and Run-Time adapters.
If I run a TestStand sequence with the LabVIEW Development System Adapter, from my Operator Interface (OI) I can call code modules and vice versa.  This will work for VIs within the context "Main Application Instance" (no project).
When I deploy this system using the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine with a built "Operator Interface" EXE, it seems they may run in different "Contexts".
Why is the separation between User/Operator Interface and Code Modules required?
The TestStand Reference Manual states "Do not use instrumentation code in user interfaces".  Why?
If I change the Preferred Execution System in the LabVIEW VI (that is running in the OI) settings to "standard" is this ok?
I hope this detailed response explains my goals adequately.  Thanks for your assistance.

  • Can't Create Library or Event on External Hard Drive

In Final Cut Pro X, I want to import events to libraries that reside on an external hard drive. However, I see no external drive in Final Cut Pro X for the creation of libraries or events, and thus am left with the only option of importing media to my internal hard drive.  I don't have the space as I am doing bigger and bigger projects.  I have my Libraries tab open, as noted below:  Please note no external hard drive appears.

I just purchased FCP X. I have started a new project but noticed --  My interface at File> seems to differ from others I am being down in tutorial/classes on FCPX. I am told to click on File> New Projects,.... which I did. But I noticed the look of what I have on my screen is different.
why are they different???  Do I have the same version???
I also have this on my computer's software icons, yet FCPX opens.  What is going on here??  thanks
