Project works when tested but RowConflicts when deployed
I have a project page with some pretty simple code to open a table and update it. The fields are all open for update and virtual forms configured to participate in a save action. The save works and commits the changes to the database (oracle) when using the creator studio to build/run the project. However, when I deploy the WAR to the Sun Application server using the same driver setup, I get a ROW_UPDATE_CONFLICT error on the rows that have been modified. This is a complete show stopper. What am I missing here?

I got exactly the same thing as you did, except that I am using Tomcat 5.5.17 instead.
It has wasted me a lot of time.

Air project works in test but fails when installed.
I have a little project I'm trying to put together as a stand-alone widget. It loads some sounds that are set up in sets and saved in a subdirectory of the application directory. I have a movie clip in the library that appears when the "Config" button is pressed.
Works great in test mode. The sounds are loaded and play. The config screen shows up when the button is pressed. The components (two sliders) work and their listeners fire. Wonderful!
But when I pack it up as an installable AIR file and then actually install it on my poncuter, epic fail. The sliders don't appear, the config button doesn't call up the configure movieClip and no sounds are played. The buttons that I placed on the stage at design time appear but don't appear to function. Nothing I added programmatically appears.
Is this an Adobe CS3 problem or did I miss something in the security sandbox? No files are being written to, I'm getting a directory listing of ./sets and then opening the files in that directory where .isDirectory comes up false. The files are XML and point to a folder off the ./sets folder and the files in that set.
I could probably track this but I have no experience debugging an AIR project. Trace is not working in development. How do people debug the final? Output to a dynamic text field?Sorry to hear you are having a tough go of it...
there should be no reasons that your application functions differently debugging than when you install the application so the behavior you are seeing is likely something easy to fix (as opposed to having to re-write a bunch of AS code :D).
Couple of Questions:
1.) Are you using CS3 as-is out of the box - or did you manually upgrade your AIR SDK inside Flash Professional to target a later version?
2.) What version of AIR are you targeting?
3.) What version of AIR do you have installed on your system?
4.) What OS are you running on?
5.) Can you install any AIR applications on your machine and have them run properly? (Bunch of AIR apps here: http://www.adobe.com/go/airmarketplace)
6.) It sounds like you are likely using CS3 and not the command line tools - but if you are using the command line tools (ADT) to create your AIR package what command line do you use to create it?
That should help get things rolling...but likely the best course of action is for you to send us your project so we can take a look. You can send your project to cthilgen at adobe.com - please do not send a zip as our mail system will auto-reject it.
Also, you should be able to get trace output. If you are using CS3 the trace output goes to the output panel. (Windows->Output) If you are using the AIR command line tools (ADL) - debug output is enabled by default (you have to manually pass -nodebug to turn it off).

Sound works when testing, but not when uploaded
I used the Behaviors pallet to stream my mp3 files, and it
works fine when tested locally, but as soon as I upload everything

Web service works when tested, but a report on is blank
Hi All,
I have created a web service reference in apex using WSDL option. It works very well when tested.
Then I built a report on top of it. But I always see the message "no data found".
I even created the same web service reference manually. This also works fine when tested.But still a report on top of it is blank.
This web service does not take any input parameters.
I also tried the most popular Movie Information web service reference, and a form and report on top of it. Everything works fine for this.
I am wondering what could be wrong with my web service...?
Please help me with this.

As I already mentioned, the web service definition works fine when tested from shared components, but when I create a web service report or sql report with onload web service process, or a form and report.. nothing works.
Always I see "no data found".

Wifi works at home but not when away from home
My Wifi works at home but not when away from home, what is wrong? I thought with a phone plan I didn't need to have a wifi connection.
You either need WiFi or Cellular (or both). If you have neither, you can't connect to the internet.
Most people use WiFi at home and Cellular while away from home, or connect to public WiFi networks where there are some. -
I am using Numbers app for the ipad and it has been working absolutely fine but now, when I want to email a spreadsheet as a PDF via the 'share and print' option, the file now doesn't appear as an attachment to the recipient. Any ideas please?

Restoring your iPod to factory settings is the best way to try and get it back to working order. You can use the instructions below to restore it:
How to restore iPod
Verify that you have an active Internet connection, because you may need to download new versions of the iTunes and iPod Software.
Download and install the latest version of iTunes if necessary.
Open iTunes. Connect your iPod to your computer using the USB or FireWire cable that came with your iPod.
After a few moments, your iPod will appear in the Source panel in iTunes.
Select your iPod in the Source panel. You will see information about your iPod appear in the Summary tab of the main iTunes window.
Click Restore.
If you are using a Mac, you will be asked to enter an administrator’s name and password.
A progress bar will appear on the computer screen, indicating that stage one of the restore process has begun. When this stage is done, iTunes will present one of two messages with instructions specific to the iPod model you are restoring.
Disconnect iPod and connect it to iPod Power Adapter (typically applies to older iPod models).
Leave iPod connected to computer to complete restore (typically applies newer iPod models).
During stage two of the restore process, the iPod displays an Apple logo as well as a progress bar at the bottom of the display. It is critical that the iPod remain connected to the computer or iPod power adapter during this stage.
Note: The progress bar may be difficult to see, because the backlight on the iPod display may be off.
After stage two of the restore process is complete, the iTunes Setup Assistant window will appear. It will ask you to name your iPod and choose your syncing preferences, as it did when you connected your iPod for the first time.

hi, well i just got my mac book pro, and it worked perfectly yesterday but then when i opened it today to go on FaceTime, my picture/video was dark and red ! how do i get it back to normal? there is a green light next to the camera when im on photobooth/facetime,...
Just do a restart. It seems to clear it up.

My iphone 4 camera shutter won't open. I have already done a restore and I am using the latest iOS. The front facing camera works during FaceTime but crashes when I switch to rear camera. in Camera mode I can't switch to front camera. I plan on replacing this phone with an iphone 5s when it comes out but I need this phone to work until then.
When you did the restore, did you restore from a backup or restore as new? The final step of user troubleshooting is to restore as a new device, not from a backup. If you restore as a new device and the camera still does not function, it is probably a hardware issue. Make an appointment at the Apple Store Genius Bar and have the device checked by a Genius.

BAPI works in test but not in production
3rd party software uses BAPI to input data into SAP. This works in test but not in production. We have checked that user 3rd party software uses have same rights in both systems. BAPI is standard SAP BAPI. We can connect to production with SM59.
Is there anything in SAP that could cause this?No. Better you check with the PATCH Levels.. etc to know is there any changes in the BAPI (BASIS people can help you) > Otherwise go to SYSTEM in the MENUBAR> STATUS--> Compare the Status there

UIImpersonator tests work in FlashBuilder, but not when run from Ant
I'm in the process of converting a Flex 3 project to use FlexUnit4 tests.
Everything compiles in Flashbuilder 4.5 and runs nicely. I've converted all the tests
to use flexunit 4, which highlighted a few issues, but nothing too major, and all the
tests now pass when run in Flashbuilder.
So... now, I'm trying to convert the CI build to use the 4.5 SDK and flexunit4. So far,
so good. Everything runs and I get a nicely formatted JUnit report. Unfortunately, though,
any test that uses the UIImpersonator fails with an async method timeout, suggesting that
the CreationComplete event hasn't fired.

I was wondering if it's a function of the fact that my helper class has no metadata that indicates it's a ui test, but that wouldn't explain why it works in FlashBuilder and not when run with ant.
I also wondered if it was a function of running with headless server set to true, but when I changed it to false the same thing happened.

So you can see that I'm using Sequences to manage waiting for stuff to get updated in the background, and basically testing when I select an item in a list and act on it that it updates the model like I expect. Again, works GREAT in the UI Runner.

Applet works in JDeveloper, but not when deployed to OC4J
I am working on an applet version of the BI Beans java client application. It works fine when running in JDeveloper (applet viewer), but fails when deployed to OC4J. The applet shows a red X, with a message in the status bar saying "Loading Java Applet Failed...". Contents of java console are as follows:

I'm trying to run a HelloMIDlet example and if I run it on emulator it works fine, also when I run it on mobile through OnDeviceDebug from eclipse it works fine, but when I install a jar file and run the application it ends with Application Error message and it exits. I found out that the problem might be in the CommandAction method, because when I use this:

And I'm unable to debug it because when debugging then it works normally. Also I tried to recompile the BluetoothDemo and the same error(and works through OnDeviceDebug). And when I installed the jar file, which is originally distributed with BluetoothDemo then it worked. When I compared original jar file and my jar file then the only difference was in the size the class files (class files compiled by me were bigger then the class files in original jar file (which work)).
Any ideas guys and girls?I tried that approach but it doesn't work either. I think maybe my directory structure is wrong.

Works in RSA3 but not when pulling from BI
Hi,
I created a generic dataSource(Function Module) for Bill Of Material. When testing in RSA3 it is working fine. But when pulling data from BI with particular material in the Data Selection, it is saying "No data available". If I am pulling the same with no data selection then it is giving an error message "Job terminated in source system --> Request set to red".
When checked in SM37 I see the following error messages.
No active nametab exists for /SAPAPO/MATKEY DA 300
Job cancelled after system exception ERROR_MESSAGE
Can any body help me on this

SubraEvery thing is fine in all these transactions SM58, BD87, & WE05. There is no problem with the connections at all. I replicated many times and the error is always the same.
The error message below is the reason.
No active nametab exists for /SAPAPO/MATKEY
This messsage is not coming when testing in RSA3. Only when pulling the data from BI, this error is happening.
We are not using SAPAPO but still this message is coming up.

Using document.getElementById to change an element size works in iWeb but not when site published
I am trying to use an HTML snippet to construct a "popup" to show explanatory text on iWeb windows. This is the code:

This works o.k. when tested inside iWeb. When the mouse is rolled over the element it is enlarged, the background colour changed and the text displayed. However, when I publish the site the background colour changes and the text is displayed BUT the size of the element remains set to the size set in the "mouseOut" function. On one occasion after publishing it did actually work, but mostly it doesn't!
What am I doing wrong?
Incidentally, when testing under iWeb, the mouseOut function sometimes doesn't shrink the element back to its original size. Mostly it does, but when it doesn't the background has still been made transparent and the text removed. It only appears to be the height and width functions that are failing!Here's how I started :

FLV loads when tested, but won't load/play on web
(Slightly different from the person's post below.)
I have been using FLV-encoded short movie (1mb - 10mb) files with good success, but now I have encoded and uploaded a new movie (encoded with Adobe Media Encoder), and, when tested here on my computer, all works fine, I get the movie and the controller skin. However, I've uploaded the files to their proper locations, and when I go to the URL, the movie file will not load/play on the web page! All of my other previous movies (this is the same site/directory, no changes there) load and play fine. This new movie seems cursed. I tried encoding several versions, each slightly different, but no luck.

OS 10.6.4OK, this is really weird (but hey, it's brought to us by Adobe, so why not?!).
When I insert the move into my DreamWeaver page and select "Halo Skin", the FLV will not load and play over the web.
But, when I select "Clear Skin" during the insert process, then the FLV will load and play over the web.
In short, this problem now has a solution, but the solution defies all logic and reason, as far as I can tell. Why should it really matter which skin is used? I dunno.
