Projector Full Screen bug?

I have a Mac (intel) CS3 flash fla that I am exporting as
projector. The exported Mac projector and windows exe file will not
open full screen w/o the flashplayer's top toolbar. I have tested
the projector file on Mac 10.4 and Windows XP and all show the
flashplayer's top tool bar. The only way to go full screen is to
manually select view/full screen in the player toolbar. I have
tried the fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); toggle (true/false/true)
workaround w/o any success. Any other workarounds I can try? Has
Adobe acknowledged this bug?

Hi,
I've seen this before, not sure if things have changed with AS3 but certainly for AS2 I've used this hack and it's worked for years for me. Try these two things:
Let your timeline run on for a few frames before you have a stop(); frame set up.
Then add your fscommand("fullscreen", "true"); code to your frame where you want the playhead to stop.
I've attached a screen shot of project to see how I have set up and I get around it.
I'm unsure why the Mac projector would seemingly ignore the fscommand("fullscreen", "true") on the first frame. Perhaps it's loading order issue.
Hope that helps.
Cheers, Mel.

  • Full-Screen bug with Safari

I hope this is already a known issue.
I use Safari on Mac OS X. In my flex application, I have
problem with full-screen mode. When I get back to normal mode from
full-screen mode, and then resize or maximize safari window, the
screen displays abnormally. Most of components disappears, and
sometimes all of them. The same problem occurs with other video
players, including the one in youtube. I haven't tested it with
other browsers yet. I hope this problem is fixed in future release.
    Thanks,

    Chaos,
Can you please file a bug in the bugbase (
    http://bugs.adobe.com/flex)
and somebody can have a look at it. Also, be sure to mention which
version of OS X, Safari, and the Flash Player you're using. And if
you have any source code showing the problem, that definitely
    helps.
I did a quick test and i was unable to repro the issue using
the latest Flex 3 SDK on XP/IE7, XP/Firefox, OSX/Safari and
    OSX/Firefox (WIN 9,0,60,163 and MAC 9,0,60,161).

ps. I saw a post at
    here
that was more or less the same issue but on Vista.

    2Q,
Please open a support case on this one (
    http://www.adobe.com/support/flash)
As a Flash developer you have access to either phone or
webcase support. In this case I might recommend going to the phone.
Be prepared to provide a sample FLA and also give the agent the
link to this forum thread. If for some reason the first support
tier doesn't give you any satisfaction then post the case number
here and also ask to be escalated. (I'd love to look at this myself
but I'm just out of resources, sorry).

  • Adding a page to Reading List causes full screen "bug"

When I attempt to add a page to the Reading List in Safari 5.1.1 running in full screen, it appears to "bug out."  The window slides to the Finder and causes the dock and menu bar to slide on top of the still full screen Safari window.  When I pull up Mission Control, the Safari desktop is sitting empty with the Safari window on the desktop.
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

This is still an issue in Safari 5.1.2.  Is anyone else experiencing this?

  • Full screen bug

When you create a button handler with accessibility enabled
so a space bar key press fires the MouseEvent.CLICK, you get an
error trying to set stage.displayState to
StageDisplayState.FULL_SCREEN. Apparently under the covers, there
is a translation between the KEY_DOWN/KEY_UP sequence into a
MouseEvent.CLICK and the security checking code isn't smart enough
to realize it and throws an error.

Here's a simple repro to add to a fla setup to allow full
screen. Tab to the button and press space bar - with a debug player
you get the error. Hitting Enter works as does mouse click

  • Preview bug, not responding to key strokes in full screen view immediately

I've had leopard since it was released and have been very pleased with it for the most part. I update the software regularly.
My problem is that since moving to leopard I cannot use the arrow keys (being the primary ones that I use) immediately upon going into full screen mode of preview, this is very irritating as I use many pdf files and find full screen the best view. I can get around this by pressing play in full screen then pausing and reverting to the arrow keys, but using so many pdf files this becomes very tiresome. Is there a patch for this bug?
I have a macbook with 2gb ram, and intel 2.16ghz processors.

If you want to report this to Apple, send a bug report (or enhancement request) via its Bug Reporter system. Join the Apple Developer Connection (ADC)—it's free and available for all Mac users and gets you a look at some development software. Since you already have an Apple username/ID, use that. Once a member, go to Apple BugReporter and file your bug report/enhancement request. You'll get a get a Bug ID number; thus, starting a dialog directly with engineering.

  • Full screen mode bug in Safari?

In Safari, running in full screen mode, if a link opens a file (eg an Excel workbook), sometimes the Excel (non full screen) window will open over the top of the Safari full screen window. When that happens it's impossible to get access to the Excel window, as clicking on it will jump to the desktop "space" (where the window should have opened?). The only way out of the problem is to move to the Safari full screen "space" and take Safari out of full screen mode using the button in the top right corner (Esc doesn't work in this case). After that I can access both Safari and the Excel window no problem.
This doesn't always happen, but it has happened enough times to be annoying, and also happens with other apps (eg Preview), not just Excel.
Anyone else had the same problem?

It is a bug. If you start to search for something with the Safari not in full screen mode the history and predictive search functionality is there. If you then expand the application window to full screen it the search field will continue to work as expected. However, if you open the application and first expand it to full screen view before using the search field it will not work properly; the history will be inaccessable and the predictive search will fail.  In order to restore functionality, hit 'control+command+F' to return to non-full-screen mode, type something in the search field or access your search history via the hour glass and then return to full screnn mode. The search field will now function normally again. This is definitely a bug and this behavior explains why the search seems to be fixed at times, and broken at others.

  • Bug? Menu Bar Not Accessible in Safari After Watching Full Screen Video

    Hi everyone,
I have had this Not accessible menu bar problem time to time while using Safari, and I finally figured out what caused it. It always happens right after you go to a full screen video mode, and then get back out, and now when you move the mouse curser to the top, menu bar doesn't show. Then a way to fix is by using the 4 finger gesture to go back to the desktop screen, and come back to safari (not too fast) and menu bar is again accessible. Why is apple not fixing this bugs? I have seen more thread about menu bar gone, so it's not just me.

    QuickTimeKirk wrote:
Hit the escape key to exit full screen.
That may be a "works as expected/designed," but once you've exited Full Screen View, then reenter Full Screen View and play a video in full screen mode, the window switches out of Full Screen to display the video in full screen video mode. It doesn't stay in Full Screen view, like it is the first time around.
    EDIT:
Esc exits full screen video mode, but you still cannot access the slide-out menu bar with the button. Repeatedly pressing Esc does not exit Full Screen View, either. This only appears on the first invocation of Full Screen view and video mode. Once you exit Full Screen, the window behaves differently.
Note that we have determined this is only affected by HTML5 video. I have to do some more testing to figure out if it is ClickToPlugin that is causing the issue.
What's a good source for straight HTML5 video?

  • Merge two full-screened safari windows' bug under lion

    Hi there,
After installed lion, i found an obviously bug in safari.
    1. Open safari, enter full-screen mode.
    2. Creat a new safari window (not a new tab), then it will moved into a other full-screen automaticlly.
    3. Click in menu bar : window>merge all windows.
    4. And here you go, two widows will be merged into one full-screen without the 'quit full-screen mode' buttom, and the other full-screen 'desktop' will be blank with only background. And the mission control died also XD

  • Full Screen problem opening PDF on PC projector

Using Flash CS3 on Mac - creating both Mac and PC projector files to go on a CD presentation
Ok I have come across the following problem.
When the CD is inserted the presentation starts automatically (on PC) and gives a list of PDFs which can be opened using EXEC fscommand. All works fine with the Mac version but on the PC version the Flash projector opens in Full Screen Mode and runs ok until I choose to open a PDF, then the presentation changes to Windowed Mode!!!
Is there any way to stop the PC version of the projector leaving Full Screen Mode when a PDF is selected
    Any help would be appreciated

  • Appearance on screen (via projector) when presenting  - full screen or not?

How do I control / determine how keynote uses the "full screen" to run a presentation? I am anxious that when I have to run it through a projector it will appear too large or too small - any tips re using Keynote with a projector - as I have not done that yet but will have to soon.
Also - what does the slide size on the initial drop down box control? using this I can make the photos I bring in very large, but to large to be practical - what is the purpose of this sizing control?

<< How do I control / determine how keynote uses the "full screen" to run a presentation? I am anxious that when I have to run it through a projector it will appear too large or too small - any tips re using Keynote with a projector>>
Once the computer and projector are connected and operating, first go to System Preferences > Displays and click on the button "Detect Displays." This will show you the current settings for the resolution of both displays. Adjust these if/as necessary to produce a proper image on both your computer and the projector.
One useful tool to check and adjust these settings is to use a "test pattern" slide. You can find several from which to choose (and copy) by searching Google for the words "test pattern." (The old "Indian Head" test pattern is always fun.)
Next, if you will be using the projector for presentation to your audience and your computer display for your Presenter Notes, be sure that "Mirror Displays" is NOT checked in the System Preferences > Displays > Arrangement window.
Now, in the Keynote Preferences > Slideshow Preferences menu, check the box "Scale slides up to fit display." This will ensure that your slides fill the projection display properly. Then check the button "Present on Secondary Display" to assign your presentation to the projector and in the Keynote Preferences > Presenter Display Preferences menu check the box "Use alternate display to view presenter information; this will put the Presenter notes and cues onto your computer monitor.
You also might want to try checking all of the other boxes in this menu; the information this will put on your screen will be very helpful while making your presentation.
    Good luck.

  • Yosemite Finder: bug when dragging files in full screen

I use my Finder in full screen mode.
When I drag files through some folders, the entire content of the window moves up so that I cannot see the top files in any column anymore.
The only solution to this bug is to end full screen and then start full screen again.
Is this really a bug or a function I do not understand? And how can I prevent this from happening, because it is really annoying?
I encountered this bug on my old iMac 27" and my new iMac 5K.
Attached to this post is a screenshot what it looks like.

  • How to prevent full screen video in projector

I'm creating a flash presentation as a standalone Projector in full screen mode...
    stage.scaleMode = "noScale";
    stage.displayState = "fullScreen";
Problem is that I want to have small video players in this full screen Projector, but I DO NOT want the videos to display full screen. I want the videos to display at their preferred size. However, since the stage mode is full screen, the video automatically goes to full screen as well.
    How do I prevent this?
    Thanks
