Prompt for Clients

Greetings,
Please help me.
I'm not sure why when I go to to prompt for Clients name or Clients ID - all of the Clients Name doesn't show up.  It's not pulling all of the Clients name. The relationship between the tables are correct and it is set to dynamic.
Thank you,
Sophal Lanh

Hi,
Please verify that the LOV for the dynamic parameter is scheduled or not in the Business View Manager.
If the LOV is not scheduled then please set a recurring schedule for it and then verify that the new values are automatically updated or not.
Thanks

  • Tomcat repeatedly prompts for client authentication w/ IIS as web server

    Team,
We have an IIS 6 / Tomcat configuration using the Apache supplied ISAPI redirector. The client application is an Applet that is using signed Jars.
The environment has been configured and communication is happening correctly between IIS and Tomcat, and the client applet is functioning properly.
Client Authentication (using Active Directory) is turned on in IIS and is authenticating Users correctly.
The only issue is that the Users are being prompted multiple times (throughout the same session) for their client authentication. The Applet communicates to the server through a single servlet.
This multiple prompting is unacceptable, because if a User does not notice that they have had their cert requested again (sometimes it pops - up minimized, or they are working to fast so it ends up behind the applet), the communication to the servlet is severed and the User ends up with some very bad results.
My question is: How can I make Tomcat stop authenticating clients? We have ONLY allowed the AJP connector to be open, and have set "tomcatAuthenticate" to false so that the RemoteUser and Principle are passed correctly from IIS.
I have attempted "socket_keepalive" in the workers.properties file and even clientAuth=false on the AJP connector (which I believe is not a valid parameter).
Does anyone have an idea of what I should do next? I have not attempted to import my client certificate into Tomcat's keystore yet, and am hoping that that is not the solution.

From the info above I see you are trying to publish over HTTPS?
BUT the request doesn't seem to be for HTTPS.
    Request: GET http://test.mm.com/
Filter information: Req ID: 11cb9306; Compression: client=Yes, server=No, compress rate=0% decompress
    rate=0%
    Protocol: http
Please try to access as https://yourdomainserver.com
let me know, how it goes, will be happy to help!

  • No pop-up for client certificate in spite of icm/HTTPS/verify_client = 1

    Dear experts,
on my WebAS 6.40 I have set icm/HTTPS/verify_client = 1 so that it requests a client certificate every time a new SSL connection is established.
However, only on one client machine with IE 6 I really get a pop-up asking for a client certificate. On all other machines there's no such pop-up. Although on ALL clients I have set the IE setting "Don't prompt for client certificate selection when no certificates or only one certificate exists" to "disable". The setting seems to be correct, because when I want to go the SAP Service Marketplace with these clients, this pop-up comes up with an empty list of suitable certificates.
Can anybode explain this to me? Why does the one browser open the pop-up and the others don't althought this one setting is identical? Why do the IE's that get the pop-up for the SAP Service Marketplace don't get the popup for my WebAS 6.40?
    Thanks and kind regards
    Christian

You will have to check the specific service (probably in SICF) to see if the Logon Procedure is set to 'Required with Client Certificate (SSL).' Is this for a BSP page?
    Hope that helps.

  • MAPI over HTTP not working correctly, Outlook 2013 clients prompting for credentials during profile creation or opening depending on security of virtual directory

    ENVIRONMENT
-1 Exchange 2013 SP1 CU7 server with all roles that is also a hybrid server with Office 365 tenant, mailboxes are all on premise only LYNC online is being utilized right now.
    -Exchange 2013 public folders
-Mix of Outlook 2013 SP1 and Outlook 2010 SP3 clients all fully update to day as of Feb 2015
Outlook anywhere is working perfectly across all clients both internally and externally using autodiscover.  Both Outlook 2013 and 2010 clients can open the program and create a profile automatically via autodiscover and no additional logon prompts
    are seen.
We set the internal and external mapi virtual directory URLs to a valid URL that also matches the Exchange 2013 SSL certificate.  We set the security to ntlm, negotiate on the mapi virtual directory.  We reset IIS and enabled mapi over http in
the org config.  We run in to problems here.
Outlook 2010 clients appear to be working fine.  We can create a new profile and open and close Outlook without any logon prompts and verify that MAPIHTTP and Negotiate are used to connect to Exchange.
Outlook 2013 clients are having problems.  As soon as we try to create a profile it says your administrator has made a change that requires you to restart outlook and then a windows logon prompt appears. If we authenticate Outlook will open and connect.
This logon prompt should not occur.    We can confirm that it is connecting via MAPI HTTP and Negotiate.
If we set the mapi virtual directory to NTLM only then a logon prompt also appears during every open of Outlook 2013.  We can confirm that it is trying to connect with MAPIHTTP via NTLM in the outlook connection test screen.
I do not understand this behavior by Outlook 2013 which was supposed to be designed with MAPI HTTP in mind.  I would think the same issues would occur with Outlook 2010 but they do not.  I am not sure how to resolve this and I am looking for help.

I have the same problem. Exchange and Outlook are both up to date. After creating a new profile Outlook prompts for username/password. A lot of users also get this prompt while
working - the profiles have been "migrated" from Exchange server 2010. <o:p></o:p>
Niko, as i can see in your screenshot you do not have Mapi over HTTP enabled. Why? You can change settings in the security tab – if you have Mapi over
HTTP enabled all options are grayed out (please correct me if I
    am wrong):
This is a very annoying thing – does anybody else have the same problem?
    Any suggestions on this?

  • IOS prompts for a client certificate each time i change webpages on a site

The company intranet is published through a TMG 2010 box and we use client certificates as an extra level of authentication in addition to AD user / pass.
With any PC based browser you are prompted once for the certificate to use, however in IOS 5.1.1 on iphone and ipad we get a prompt each time you go to a new page, safari prompts for the certificate to use however the more times you change the page the more it relists the certificate in the selection window. The certificate you see in the screen shot is installed once. The first time I change the page, safari reprompts and lists 2 certificates (both the same) next time i change the page it then lists the certificate 3, then 4 then 5 times etc. The client certificate is issued directly from the root CA so this isnt the issue of IOS not supporting 2 or 3 tier certificates.
All other PC based browsers work fine and only prompt once then happily reuse that certificate when you change pages without reprompting.

We're experiencing the same problem.  We are also publishing internal web applications via TMG 2010, using forms based authentication with client SSL certificate authentication.
We see this problem on devices using iOS 5.1.1.  Devices with iOS 6 are automatically selecting the client certificate.  Unfortunately upgrading to iOS 6 is currently not an option.

  • Kerberos - client has TGT, but prompted for password when accessing share.

I'm getting ready to deploy Leopard to my client base and I'm doing final testing. I have a magic triangle/cylinder of destiny situation, using Active Directory and Open Directory running on 10.5.2.
With a 10.5.2 client bound to both directories, I can log in to the client machine with an AD account, however when I try to connect to a file share, I am prompted for name & password. I checked /System/Library/CoreServices/Kerberos, and I have a TGT.
I'm stumped as to why I'm being prompted when I have a TGT. Any ideas?

Go back to the basics. Time and DNS. Make sure all servers are using the same time server (OD box points to AD domain controller - use ntpq -p to confirm time sync). Make sure forward and reverse resolve works for all servers in the chain. If this all checks out, then look at your AFP service settings or temporarily launch SMB and see if it will issue a service ticket.
You are talking to two different machines but with a common auth point. The first process, getting the TGT is entirely devoted to communication with the AD domain. The KDC in AD agreed that you are who you claim to be and that you can be trusted, thus granting you access to domain resources. The next step is attempting to access a resource on a server that you believe to be part of the trust. In this case, an OS X Server running AFP (assumably). In this case, the OD system needs to be configured as a domain member of the AD environment and all services "Kerberized". This is an area in which Apple needs a little work under Leopard. Tiger was so easy. I've had better luck using dsconfigad's enablesso than with the GUI tools.
However, assuming that you performed all the usual steps, first review the contents of your edu.mit.kerberos file and make sure that Leopard did not rewrite the file and place the OD system in as the KDC. That is all wrong. Next, take a look at your principles by using klist -k. Is the realm information correct? And finally, review the settings in the afp configuration file. The realm information in that file is often messed up if you launch AFP before you have the server bound up properly.
My guess is that the OD box thinks it is the KDC and you will likely need to manually edit the edu.mit.kerberos file and force the file to be static (remove the third and fourth lines). This is common if you joined the AD domain and then promoted the server to OD Master.
    Hope this helps

  • Outlook 2007 Clients Prompt For Password When Opening

I am running Exchange 2007 Standard.  New outlook 07 clients prompt for password each time it is opened.  Older clients do not prompt for password.  Is there any way for outlook 07 to not prompt for password?  Users already logged into domain, should their credentials not be recognized automatically like with outlook 03?

I was having the same issue. SBS2008, Exchange 2007. Only being prompted in Outlook 2007 clients. Tried a lot of different things to fix it, but none worked. This started happening after a round of security updates but I could not find KB2412171 on the list.

  • Work Folders client setup errors: No prompt for AD credentials & Lockscreen policies not applied.

    Hi everyone.
I've recently set up a test environment for Work Folders (Server 2012 R2). I'm only testing inside my network so no internet access is required. I have encountered two issues:
When setting up a domain-joined client using a GPO everything works fine, except for the lockscreen/password policy settings. If I enable this on the fileserver the sync fails claiming that the PC
doesn't comply with my organization's security policies. This is very weird since Work Folders is responsible for configuring these policies.
There's no Apply GPO option available in the Control Panel item.
When setting up a non-domain-joined client for Work Folders I'm not prompted for AD credentials. The setup fails with the error:
You 're not set up on the server. However, if I open the workfolders URL in Internet Explorer I do
get prompted for my AD credentials.
Here's some details about the environment:
Server 2012 R2 DC. No other GPO's than the work folder GPO.
    DNS alias called workfolders.<domain>.local configured.
Fileserver set up with self-signed certificate (SSC) bound to default website. The certificate is either manually installed on the clients or distributed via the GPO. The certificate is made with server name workfolders.<domain>.local.
Work Folder GPO on client OU:
    - Certificate distribution of SSC
    - Loopback Policy enabled
    - Work Folders enabled with Force automatic setup
Both servers and clients are VMs. Non-domain-joined client logged in as local administrator.
Has anyone else encountered these issues? Can anyone shed some light on how to resolve this?
    Thanks in advance!
    MicaH

Roberto, I don't have a W3SVC1 folder containing log files, so no dice. I did find out through event logs that the account that's used to authenticate is the fileservers' local administrator account! Then I remembered that my local Administrator
accounts' password on my client is the same as on the fileserver (it's a test environment). So I changed the clients local admin password and it finally worked!
I still have issues with the Device Policies, though. Any thought on that subject?
Edit: The issue with the device policies is caused by my testuser not being a local admin on the client. I had adjusted my powerplan settings so I could keep my RDP session to the client open and without admin rights the work folders policies cannot be applied.
Does anyone know how to set these policies using GPO?

  • Exchange 2013, clients prompting for password

Exchange 2013 SP1 on Server 2012 R2 both fully patched. Exchange 2013 is a single server will all roles installed. There is also an Exchange 2007 (fully pathed) as we are in the process of migrating the users.
Setup legay.company.com points to Exchange 2007 and mail.company.com point to Exchange 2013
Security on Exchange 2013 set to NTLM for External and Internal.
Mobile access works for user on Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2007
Client with Mailbox's on Exchange 2013 using Outlook 2010 - 2013 internally and externally getting prompted for username and password.
Clients with Mailbox's on Exchange 2007 ok.
Checked IIS, autodiscover, EWS and Kernal mode is set.
Nothing showing in the Event Logs.

    Hi Skynite,
I have met this issue before, I recommend you try the following method and check the result:
In this situation, you must set LmCompatibilityLevel on the client to a value of 2. To do this, follow these steps.
    Click Start, click Run, type
regedit in the Open box, and then press ENTER.<u5:p></u5:p>
Locate and then click the following registry subkey: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa\
In the pane on the right side, double-click lmcompatibilitylevel.<u5:p></u5:p>
In the Value data box, type a value of 2 and then click
    OK.<u5:p></u5:p>
    Exit Registry Editor.<u5:p></u5:p>
    Restart your computer.<u5:p></u5:p>

  • Preview and print a Crystal report prompted for the sa password

    Dear All,
Our customer has Crystal report add-on to be installed. When we Preview and print a Crystal report, we got a window prompted for the sa password. Even we type in a correct password, it still says wrong password...
Every time when I open my report in Crystal Basic 2008 on the server, then go database expert >> My connections >> click + in front of the connection name, it asks my sa password. I type in my password then save and close. Next time when I open the report and go my connections, I have to type in my password again. This only happens on one customer.
    Any idea? Thanks a lot.
    Regards,
    Yuka

    Hi Yuka,
    1) All their SAP client workstation, they have to have use SQL2008 CD and install SQL Client on it
Correct, MS does NOT support MDAC or WDAC when connecting to SQL 2008.
    2) Then go ODBC >> SQL Native Client 10.0 >> Create a new connection to SAP server. Should we use sa user or another use that has the same authorization as sa?
Correct again if they are also using ODBC to connect, as for using the sa account or creating a new one is up to you. I suggest creating a Crystal account with what ever rights your app needs, this way if tracing it turned on etc. you can confirm who is actually running the report.
    3) Then from MY Crystal report, I have to use ODBC connection as well?
Just to clarify, if you created your reprots using OLE DB then they can do so also. But you need to update your connection properties. Open each report click on Database, Set Location, scroll down to OLE DB and expand and then choose MS SQL Server Native 10 as your OLE DB provider, fill in all the logon info and then verify the database. Do the same for each subreport also.
Save your report and either send them the new one or if you are doing this remotely then replace the original report.
VERIFY your reports to confirm they still return correct data and do work as expected.
Or if you are using ODBC then yes you do select the MS 10 driver with a new DSN. Then do the above to update the reports to all use ODBC as their data sources.
Hope this is all clear now....
    Thanks again
    Don

  • Run report with SSO/OAM by URL without prompt for uid/pwd?

Can I run a report by URL to a report engine protected by SSO/OAM without being prompted for credentials?  Asking the same in another way, is there a way to pass the SSO/OAM credentials in the URL (or otherwise) to avoid being prompted for them?  I find many references to how to do this for the database connection credentials, but I'm trying to pass the SSO/OAM credentials on the URL.  My end game is to be able to run a report from VB.NET from a kiosk application in VB.NET where there is no attendant and client does not want to have to log into SSO/OAM at any time.  My VB.NET code will submit the URL, grab the output and manage the work stream (print, save, store to doc repos, etc.) in the kiosk code.
    Thanks in advance
    Hank
    12/29/2014
For the sake of those that come later with this same question:
It turns out there is a way to do this after all.  I opened an SR with MOS and with a little trial and error we worked out that the following does work:
    http://<theFormsReportsServer>:9002/reports/rwservlet?report=myTestReport.rdf&authid=myOAMUserId/mySSOPasswd&userid=dbUid/dbPwdK@DbTnsEntryName&destype=cache&desformat=html
Note that there are two necessary bits to this in addition to specifying the authid=SSO Credentials part.  The first is that you must use the WLS_REPORTS port (9002 in our case), not the OHS port (8888 in our case).  The other is that you must provide the database connection.  I have done it overtly in this syntax by specifying userid=DbCredentials@Db, but it should also work to substitute the ssoconn functionality in order to hide the Db credentials.  That is not an issue in our environment so i have not actually tested it.

  • Certificates issued by communications server for client authentication

    Hi,
we ran into problem with those certificates, that are being issued by the lync server itself.  In our enteprise we have CX600 and CX3000 phones, and i know that certificate authentication is required for the phones to work (both for registrar and webservice).
However, now that users have lync installed, they have their communications server certificate assigned as well. The problem is when a user needs to sign a document with the certificate from our private CA, for most of the users, word or excel suggests to
use a certificate issued by communications server, not our ent CA. Maybe there is a way for LYNC to trust private enteprise CA and not give out its own certificates and STILL use certificate authentication?
    Thanks!

Facing almost the same issue, Lync (server) issues ClientAuth certs from "Communication Server", (btw
is not trusted of course), and in turns forces users to make a selection of which VPN cert to use when dialing in, instead of only one ClientAuth cert installed, they now have 2 ClientAuth certs installed, which our internal CA's should care about and NOT
    the Lync (server).
Don’t get how an MS product of this caliber can be built without proper PKI integration, how can it NOT utilize internally issued certs for client authentication???
Not the first though, SCCM and OSD is another example....
However, are you saying that Lync communication can’t be used without certificate authentication,
without the user being spammed with credential prompts?
Trying to get clarification on this…

  • Prompting for username and password for opening

    Hi,
The domain of my organisation is xyz.com. So when try to access any office doc from the office network it opens the office docs without any prompt in office client. But whenever try to access them using VPN or citrix it asks for the username and password.
Then if I give credentials or cancel it irrespective of that it opens the doc for me.
The sites are in trusted zone. It is happening for 2010 and 2013 both. But for pdf it is not prompting.
Why it is asking for credentials and how to mitigate this so that it opens directly from everywhere.

You can try to take a fiddler trace in both scenarios and then search for the differences. This issue seems to be related with your network configuration that with the product itself.
In fiddler you can identify what verb is requesting for credentials and from there you can go further with troubleshooting.
