Properties Window not functional (DW 8 MAC)

I am sure that this is something that I did wrong somewhere,
but I can't figure out for the life of me what it is :)
As of last Friday, the Properties window below my Design
window does not show the properties of the item that is selected
(independent of tag); it also does not allow me to input data, such
as a URL. I have not installed or deleted any new software over the
past couple of weeks and did not make any changes to the website
from other tools either.
At this point, this has me reduced to coding up straight HTML
to maintain my site, which is less than optimal.
I have also tried this under DW CS3 and get the same results.
I have also gone through the general troubleshooting steps,
including renaming the Site Prefs file and creating a new Admin
user and trying it from that account.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Same probleme here using CS3. But some more trouble:
Since about 5 days, i'm not able to use the upload function
directly after opening a file, the button is grey. I have to switch
to the code view and back to the design view in order to be able to
upload the file.
Some other strange things:
- Changes in an opened CSS file are not displayed in an html
file opend. Even pressing the F5 key doesn't change the
design-view. I have to close and to reopen the file in order the
see the changes.
- Working with tables is not possible using the design-view:
Changes I make using the "properties-bar" don't change the source
code of my file.
- there are a lot of other things which make problems at the
moment. I'm not sure how to solve these problems - perhaps I need
to re-install the application.

New Browser Window not working on My Mac Intel pro

I have set a behavior in Dreamweaver CS3 to open a new
browser window to a set size and to only show scroll bars if
needed. I have left all other attributes unchecked. This is not

This is an unusual way to go about doing this. Typically you
simply put
the thumbnails up on the page rather than combining them into
a collage
and then adding imagemaps to that.
Nevertheless, it can be done.

ITunes 10.4.1 does not function on my Mac with 10.5.8.

HELP HELP !!!!!!!!! I have a G5 dual processor Power Mac with leopard 10.5.8 installed. I have used itunes with my iphone and ipad for 3 years and never had any problems.
I updated to itunes 10.4.1 and now itunes doesn't show the ipad or iphone in the left column to sync. It automatically starts the itune app
when i plug in the iphone or ipad but that is all. I also can not access the itunes store now either. iphoto seems to work fine --it recognizes the iphone and ipad.
I have tried various things from uninstalling iTunes and deleating the Apple mobile device support and more. I downloaded iTunes 10.4.1 to my desktop
and reinstalled. Ended up with same issue. Someone said to use the diagnostics under the help meny in iTunes....That isn't availiable with mine.
If I use time machine to reinstall itunes 10.3.1 it syncs just fine and i then can access the store.
Has anyone any other ideas???????

I had a similar problem. My iTunes didn't start automatically when I connected any of my devices after the upgrade to iTunes 10.4.1.
I found I had to add the iTunesHelper.app in System Preferences->Users & Groups under my account on the Login Items tab.
You have to navigate to it in finder, because I couldn't seem to do "Show Package Contents" on iTunes.app in the Applications folder from the file dialog you get when you hit '+'.
Once you have opened the package contents of the iTunes.app then the iTunesHelper.app is in Contents/MacOS. I just dragged and dropped into the Login Items window, then ticked it to start on login.
Note, this will only start it when you log in, to start it immediately just double click iTunesHelper.app in finder.

Authentication Properties button not functional for 802.1x authentication

With version 4.52 for Windows XP, Build 7TCX26WW of ThinkVantage Access Connections, the 'Authentication Properties' button doesn't work for 802.1x for Ethernet. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Had to work-around by using the Windows Network Connections properties pages for the Ethernet device. Would be nice to have this utility working fully. Found it useful for someone who shifts from one work environment to another.

Gradient window not functioning

Recently I've noticed a problem with my gradient window that I've not been able to fix. I've included screen grabs to better illustrate my problem.
1) The box is selected and a gradient is applied. Sliders are present. Everything looks fine.
2) Sliders are adjusted. Gradient is unaffected.
3) Sliders are adjusted again. Gradient is unaffected. Sliders realize their own futility and leave out of frustration.
The gradient tool works just fine and I can get by using that for now, but I prefer to use the gradient window seeing as though certain clients use gradients in a manner which makes the gradient tool rather unwieldy and awkward and I can't go to them and say "you're dumb and also stop doing that please". I really really wish I could. It would solve so many other problems.
I've tried uninstalling Illustrator entirely and re-installing it with no changes to the situation. As far as I know, this is the only issue I have and nothing else has been affected.
What could cause this and/or how could I go about fixing it?

Presuming it is happening with any document (and that you are no trying many time in the same, possibly corrupt, file), you may consider going even further to reinstall using the full three step way:
Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

The gradient looks a bit funny, stronger transitions at the ends, as if there were a gradient stop (square) in the middle and the top sliders to the sides (away from 50%).

Flash 8 Windows Not Recognizing Flash 5 Mac .fla file!!

I have been forced to change computers from Mac to Windows.
My Mac has .fla files created in Flash 5, and I am attempting to
transfer them to my Windows machine (XP Media), where I am using
Flash 8 Professional. My problem: some of the files I created in
Flash 5 on the Mac are transferring to the Windows environment just
fine...and others aren't recognized at all by Flash 8 (and I get an
error from Windows saying it cannot transfer the files because it
"cannot read from the source file or disk", despite their having
been created on exactly the same machine using the same program. I
have to sell this Mac, but now I am afraid to until I can figure
out how to successfully transfer these files. Any suggestions,
anyone?

how are you transferring them? it doesnt sound like a flash
issue as many have been sharing FLA
files cross-platform for years witout issue. There's a chance
the FLAs are corrupt as well.

Sleep Mode not functioning correctly after Mac OSX 10.6.5 update

I have a Macbook Model Identifier 5,1. (1st gen Alum Macbook). I notice that after I updated to 10.6.5, I have a problem going to sleep mode. When I click on sleep, it will blacken the screen but the LED screen still glows. Usually, it glows for a few second and then the LED powers down so it will be completely dark. Now it just hangs there. I have to use the power down fucntion by pressing it for 4 seconds.
I tried disk utility repair permissions. ANy suggestions?

I have similar problem with MacBook White Identifier 6.1. I have update 10.6.5 and I have a lot of problems with my MacBook. This problem is one of them. My MacBook also often show message Kernel Panic and I can use only power button. It is not good when arrange photos or do other things.
Update 10.6.4 was very good. I didn't have any problem. If I have version 10.6.5, can I return to version 10.6.4?
I don't know, what I can do. Any suggestions?

How to transfer I tunes from old windows lap top to new Mac lap top

How do you transfer your i tunes account from an old windows lap top to your new Mac?

Drag and drop copy the iTunes folder to a external hard drive on Windows, then take it to the Mac and use iTunes there to import it.
If you want to read/write the external drive between Mac's and PC's, right click on the drive and format it exFAT or FAT in Windows, not NTFS.
Some Mac's can read NTFS, but not write to that format as it's proprietary.
When you format the drive, all data will be erased on it, so make sure before you do so.

Array out of bounds - in Windows not in Mac

I have an applet on my website which behaves perfectly when I view the page using my home Mac (iBook running Panther).
When I view the same page with a Windows machine at my local library I get an Array Bounds error.
'Advanced options' is disabled (and anyway I am not familiar with Windows) so I can't get any more specific information.
Can anyone suggest what I should do next?

If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know that account password, the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise, boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, type this:
resetpassword
That's one word with no spaces. Then press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but you won't be able to unlock the Keychain. If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it. Just so you'll know, there is no Java on that page. There is, however JavaScript. You should know that those two things are different as night and day.

Attribute does not appear in WEBUI document properties windows

After that we've had to update the class with two new attibutes (String, not required) using the iFS Manager. But now, when i select a document (ArquivoXsl) the properties window in WEBUI does not show that attribute.
is there a bug in the iFS 9.0.1 version.
If i create a new class with all these attributes, the WEBUI show them all, even they've being null valued.

Even after making the attributes as nav attribute in Master data they ought to be marked as navigation attribute on the infoprovider on which you are creating the report.
If the report is based on the cube that uses company code then you need to check it as navigational att in the cube and incase you have a multiprovider at the top of the cube then you again need to check this attribute as navigational in the multiprovider too.
Thus by making comp_code_zregion as nav att in the master data you will not see it in the report you need to make it as nav in the report as well as multiprovider incase the report is based on multiprovider

You run Windows in Parallels or Fusion. Then in Windows you install the program.

The properties window does not open properly for bookmarks.

When I go to Bookmarks > Bookmark This Page, the window that opens should have the information filled in, correct? Because mine is always blank. The bookmark does get made if I click Done, even with everything looking blank. Also, when I right-click on a bookmark & select Properties, the Properties window that opens only shows the blue bar at the top, nothing else. I can't expand the window. It's been doing this since the previous version that I had. Also, keep in mind that I'm a computer technician, so I know what I'm doing.

does it happen for all tables or it's related to specific set of tables (or just one table)?
PS. Did some more research: The error message from the logfile seems to be unrelated to the recalcitrant properties window. Yes, those errors are not related to problem.
properties dialog won't appear if there are some errors during initialization of dialog and its related to table that cause the problem. You should be able to open dialog for another table.
It'll be great if you can find out after what changes dialog for some tables doesn't appear.
