FYI, this was determined to be a bug in WebLogic 6.1sp3. BEA provided us with a
patch.

Error message /etc/rc.sysinit: unexpected EOF
Hi,
I have a strange error during booting which says
/etc/rc.sysinit: at line 198: unexpected EOF while looking for matchin '`'
The system boots properly, but then I have no locales set.
Should I post my rc.sysinit file ?
PS: here is my /etc/rc.sysinit file..

I fixed it.
The file /etc/crypttab was corrupted, it contained some binary crap. I emptied it (echo "" > /etc/crypttab )
And now the error is gone.
I still have some other problems, ldconfig emits an error message:
[hardik@moonlight: ~ ]$ sudo ldconfig
ldconfig: ÓòÙ»³Ó¸FSóÄÍy£=ÅZ੯õ4Õjp±ßáktþY ÅçænùÖl]KCܸ5+NVÁsê)<¤ is not a known library type

Unexpected eof on client connection
Our FCS froze. Rebooting does not fix the problem. I can see tons of 'unexpected eof on client connection' lines in system log.
Is our database corrupted? What do you suggest first thing to troubleshot this?
Thanks
VJI don't believe in 'spoon feeding' people the answers to complex issues, like clearing things out of a live PostgreSQL database. I expect people to have a grasp of the basics before I plunge in and help them. If he went out and bought a PostgreSQL book, or even a copy of 'SQL for Dummies', and started learning the basics, then he will acquire skills that will help him way beyond Final Cut Server.
I wasn't really 100% certain of the answer to the '..what page?' question, since I have not obtained or looked through the new book. -

Oracle.xdo.parser.v2.XMLParseException:Unexpected EOF.
I have created a custom DataTemplate from comverting a RDF to XML template. Also created the custom RTF template.
When I run the custom request it runs for for more than 3 hrs and then errors out. When I look at the OPP log file it has this error. Cant figure out what is causing this issue.
Also when i submit the concurrent program request the completion text field value has value called
"Input value not long enough for date format".
OPP error log:

"unexpected EOF" - what is this and how do I fix it?
I have an IBM Infoprint Color 8 I use as a network laser printer. I believe it is a postscript printer. It prints very sporadically. More often than not I get an "unexpected EOF" message. Also, it uses the "Generic Postscript Printer" driver because IBM does not seem to have a driver for this machine that is up to OSX.
Can anyone help here? I need to get a lot of use out of this printer and haven't even had it a year.
Thanks.EOF is "End of File" meaning that a file was not written and closed properly.
There is a Mac driver for this printer on the IBM website. It is pre-OS X, but all you really need is the PPD. If you install it in Classic, the system may be able to find it, or it may be uncompressed within the file, so you could install it manually.

[solved] Unexpected EOF error while reading
Hi
I created a bootable jumpstart DVD for x86, and erverything works up to the extract of the flash archive.
During the extract, I receive this error:
Extracted 2046.00 MB ( 92% of 2208.35 MB archive)
Extracted 2047.00 MB ( 92% of 2208.35 MB archive)
ERROR: Unexpected EOF error while reading (/cdrom/latest_archive)
ERROR: Could not extract Flash archive
ERROR: Flash installation failed
Solaris installation program exited.
The size of the archive on the DVD is ok.
Any Idea?I solved it like this:
- added the "-I" option to flar when the archive get created.
- added the "-x /usr" option to flar to skip the /usr filesystem.
- created and compressed a fs dump of /usr which I placed on the dvd.
- added the ufsrestore of /usr to my jumpstart finish script.
With this I got files smaller than 2gb on my isofs.

Tar: Unexpected EOF in archive for Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL
Hi All,
System = Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (64 bit)
I downloaded Oracle EBS Vision instance from Oracle eDelivery.
File Name = Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ova.00
File Type = Archive
There are 14 others files like the same and they have been successfully extracted. This is the first file out of the 15 total files.
I am unable to extract the above file.
Steps Performed
1. Initially, I tried to extract directly. I got the error
Could not open "Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ova.00"
Archive Type not supported
2. Then I renamed the file to "Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ova.00.tar" and tried to do the following
$ tar xvf Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ova.00.tar
Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ovf
Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL-disk1.vmdk
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Now the above two downloaded files Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ovf and Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL-disk1.vmdk are of unknown file type.
Ideally I should have got a file = Oracle-E-Business-Suite-12.2.3-VISION-INSTALL.ova.00 (File Type = Program) like all other 14 files and as per the installation steps that I see in the videos for the installation.
Can anyone help me on this?
Thanks,
NiladriSystem = Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (64 bit)
This is not a certified OS, please see (Oracle E-Business Suite Installation and Upgrade Notes Release 12 (12.2) for Linux x86-64 (Doc ID 1330701.1)) for the list of supported Linux OS.
tar: Unexpected EOF in archive

This indicates that the files are corrupted and you will need to re-download the files again.

Hi all,
we've got an older application that worked fine with proxy 3.6sp5.
Now we've changed to JES2005Q4.
First we got error's with http1.0 but with new JRE 1.5 that problem is gone.
But the log from the applications says:
java.io.IOException: Unexpected EOF from proxy
Someone seen this before or give me hint?
thanks in advance
Olaf OehmeWhen you say application, which application did you mean ?
It would help to know more of what the application is trying to do, what it was succeeding at doing earlier and what it is failing to do currently.
