Provisioning Profile Timeout

Hello, I'm still getting a "The request timed out" message in Xcode when I try to request a new provisioning profile. The system status page (https://developer.apple.com/support/system-status/) list the "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles" service as being available but I still get the "Apple Developer Update" page when trying to log in. Any ideas? Is the server still down?

FYI - we got in touch with an Apple representative at the Developer help desk (1-800-633-2152) and he talked us through it.
Turns out, our distribution profile on the Mac machine we use to submit applications to market needed refreshed.
We logged into our Apple account as an administrator, found the profile we needed, and downloaded a new profile to our Mac machine.
We were then able to sucessfully submit the app to market.  (Apple ticket number was #282448672 if you want to inquire about it in the future).
The Apple representative said this error appears to be account specific, arising after the problems they had last week.  Not everyone is experiencing it and they don't have an answer right now on why it's happening.  Hope this helps anyone out there struggling with this!

  • A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found

I have built an enterprise APP. It has been installed in hundreds of machine. It can run smoothly at the begining. After two months, a few of the machice cannot open the APP anymore. I have tried to read its crach log and it has nothing. Finally, i found out the reason by tracing the console log.
The error is "A valid provisioning profile for this executable was not found".
So I check if the file exist but it is disappeared. The user have not removed the profile.
At last, I tried to install the profile again, it is still not working even the profile is installed. Is there anyone who have the same issue? Thank you very much

  • My Distribution Profile is grayed out in Code Signing Provisioning Profile

Fellow developers, has anyone experienced this problem when you tried to compile your app for distribution:
Did everything as suggested in this forum, including:
    - copying a distribution profile to the right folder and also draging over the Xcode icon
    - Adding a "Distribution" configuration
    - specifying the identity as "iPhone Distribution: My Name"
However, in the "Code Signing Provisioning Profile" picker, when "Any iPhone OS" is selected, the only enabled choice is "Default ..." and the actual profile with my name is grayed out.
More over, the moment I select "Distribution" and then select "Device" in the "Active Configuration" picker, Xcode closes. This behavior can be reproduced all the time.
    Any suggestions?
    Eugene

It is normal that it is grayed out ( don't ask me why ). To activate the distribution build, duplicate your Release in Distribution, install all the required certificates ( please apple stop those, they're a nightmare to deal with ) , then in the build settings in the code signing you have to TYPE ( there is no drop down box as seen in some screenshots ) "iPhone Distribution" ( instead of "iPhone Developer" ) and tada a few lines below you should see your drop down modified with some distributions entries.

  • How to Obtain a Distribution Provisioning Profile from Apple

    hi everybody!
I'm searching in the apple.com site where I can register me to obtain a distribution provisioning profile, can anybody help me?
    thx!

Hi Angelo, and welcome to the Dev Forum!
A provisioning profile is one of the documents you can obtain at the Developer Program Portal once you're a member of the program. Normally you would first register as an iPhone Developer at the iPhone Dev Center to access the free developer tools and the extensive iPhone Reference Library.
The home page of the iPhone Dev Center includes a link to information about the iPhone Developer Program. Once you decide on the type of membership you require (e.g.: Standard Program $99; Enterprise Program $299), you can proceed to the online application form.
Once you are accepted into the program (the waiting time may vary from less than one day to several weeks), you will obtain access to the Program Portal which provides detailed instructions on how to obtain, install and use the various documents including the provisioning profiles. Note that an iPhone developer does not normally obtain a Distribution Provisioning Profile until completing and thoroughly testing an iPhone app using one or more Device Provisioning Profiles. A Distribution Certificate and Profile is only used when building the version of your app which will be submitted for review and placed in the iTunes Store if accepted.
    Hope that helps!

    Looking at this page:
    http://developer.apple.com/iphone/manage/distribution/index.action
Make sure that you've done all the steps... "Generating a Certificate Signing Request", "Submitting a Certificate Signing Request for Approval", "Downloading and Installing iPhone Distribution Certificates", "Create and download your iphone distribution provisioning profile"...
When I went through this process, I think I forgot to do the step "Downloading and Installing iPhone Distribution Certificates"... (skipping straight to "create and download your iphone disbritution profile") as a result the provisioning profile name wasn't appearing for me to select... When I completed that step, then the provisioning profile name appeared...

  • Provisioning Profile Expiration Pop-up

When I woke up my iPhone this morning it had this message on the screen:
    Provisioning Profile Expiration
Provisioning Profile "CST Ad Hoc" will expire in 13 days.
    [Remind Me] [Show Me]
I tapped Show Me, and got this:
    Settings
    General
    Profile
    Provisioning
    CST Ad Hoc
    Verified [Remove]
    Received Aug 22, 2009
    Expires Mar 8, 2010 (in 13 days)
Do I need to do anything about this?
    Thanks for your assistance!
    Peter

I'm retired, so I don't have any IT folks to blame. Is this profile something an app has created? If so, is there any way to find out what app created it, so I can contact the developer?
The "CST" in the message makes me wonder if it has to do with the upcoming time change, but March 8 is six days short of the time change.

  • Remove Provisioning Profiles

Where is the Provisioning Profile on my Mac and how do I delete it?
A friend who is a Developer asked if I would test a couple of apps on my iPod Touch and iPad which I gladly did. The Profiles already expired but they're still on both of my devices. I tried to Remove them in the General section of Settings on both my devices but they keep returning each time I sync them with iTunes. I've also tried to deleted the demo apps from iTunes but again the Profiles still return. How do I delete these profiles?
Please forgive my ignorance on this topic, I'm just a User and know nothing about programming.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
    -- Jeff

    Hi Jeff -
You should find the provisioning profile(s) in +/Users/Jeff/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles+. Before deleting anything from that folder, it's best to untether your iPod Touch and close iTunes. After that, just move the file(s) you wish to delete to the trash. In some cases it's possible for a profile to remain locked after iTunes is closed. If that happens, you should be able to remove the lock by restarting your Mac.
The steps are similar for Windows iTunes btw, but the exact location may depend on the Windows version. For XP see [How to Remove a Provisioning Profile from iTunes on Windows XP|http://mobilestrategist.blogspot.com/2009/06/how-to-remove-provisioning-prof ile-from.html].

  • Provisioning profile for app store?

My iphone is giving me a message saying that the provisioning profile for my app store is going to expire tomorrow.  I have the option to remove the profile, but won't that cause my app store to quit? Not sure how to restore the profile...
    Help!

    hello ,
    i found the solution...  ;-)
i installed the os lion and xcode 4.1 and the problem was solved
but to submit your app to mac apple store with xcode, you must modify this file
    Entitlements.plist
in the following path :   ../Developer/Platforms/MacOSX.platform
You must change "application-identifier"  to  "com.apple.application-identifier"

  • Are the eBis provisioning profiles stored in OID?

Details of eBis provisioning profiles stored in OID
Recently I came across a situation where the provisioning profile had stopped working after moving our eBis servers to a new host. Even though we deregistered and reregistered OID in EBS, we are unable to get the synch to work. There are no obvious errors available in the logs (ods log/out files or the diagnostics file).
I have tried increasing the log level of provisioning profile to all and the dip services to level 32 (trace) and I don't seem to see any errors.
    EBS - 12.1.3/11.2.0.2
    OID - 11.1.1.4
I was just wondering if the OID stores the details of EBS provisioning profile in any of the metadata tables or the config files.
Any pointers will be highly appreciated.
    Kind Regards
    Sanjay

Kees, the color profiles are still stored in your user library in
    ~/ColorSync/Profiles/
I can't find them back in  the /library/colorSync/Profiles.
Are you looking in the System Library folder /Library/colorSync/Profiles  at the top level of your system drive?
As you probably know, your User Library is hidden since Mac OS X Lion.
You can reveal it from the Finder's "Go" menu in the main menu bar:
    Finder > Go
Then hold down to options-key ⌥, until Library appears in the drop-down menu. Select it and open the Library.

  • OID 10.1.4 / eBS 12.0.6 integration - provisioning profiles vanishing

We have, after a bit of thrashing, managed to get our OID working with SSO on eBS (lots of alphabet soup there!). We're on OID 10.1.4 and eBS 12.0.6.
We're seeing an issue where, periodically, the connection profiles in OID, under the provisioning profiles container, will vanish. This causes all users who have new eBS accounts to receive a blank screen after authenticating in SSO. This seems logical, since without the connection profiles, OID doesn't have access to eBS to update the USER_GUID in FND_USER.
If we rerun deregistration and reregistration, the issue is fixed, but it's sort of a sledge hammer solution.
Has anyone else seen this issue? Are there processes, like running Autoconfig or OPMN that could cause the profiles to vanish? How about a lock on the FND_USER table?

  • Provisioning profile select missing in 2.2??!

I've just upgraded to the 2.2 SDK and the options in the target info screen for selecting a provisioning profile is now missing in all my projects and any new projects I create
Is it moved? is it a bug? How do I get this option back?

The "Code signing identity" field and the "Code Signing Provisioning Profile" field have been merged. Click on "Any iPhone device" and there is a drop-down list which combines the company name and the provisioning profiles, so you just need to select your company name under the provisioning profile that you want to use. Hope this makes sense!

  • Provisioning Profiles and Apple Configurator

I try to install a provisioning profile (a .mobileprovision file) using Apple Configurator and I find no way of importing it into Configurator.
Apples PDF "Deploying iPhone and iPad - Apple Configurator" says I can use provisionong profiles with Configurator.
    What am I doing wrong?

With this I can import configuration profiles (*.mobileconfig), but not the provisioning profile (*.mobileprovision).
The profile I am using is probably fine, as it is working in iTunes. It is used to enable enterprise Apps.
