Proxy client configuration

Is there any way other than generating the pac file to configure the browser client. I manually set the server and port but this does not work. packet capture shows 407 error.
pac files don't work well with my app.
I appreciate any thoughts or comments.
Thanks,
Sean Wyatt

Now I have a 2000 lines script to completely install LDAP into Solars 8,9 and 10, including routines to move the names database from the local host to the LDAP servers.

  • Error while trying to run a secure web proxy client

    Hi,
    I was able to generate a secure proxy client using JDev10.1.3 and I'm able to open the jks file using the keytool gui client. The jks file does not appear to be corrupt or tampered with in anyway. However, when I try to run the secure proxy client, I'm getting the following error:

  • Web Service Proxy client to invoke a Web service on SSL (Jdev 10.1.3.1)

    Hi,
    I have to develope a Web Service proxy client to invoke a web service on SSL. First I'm testing with OC4J 10.1.3.1 and JDEV 10.1.3.1 and did this:
    1) Developed a basic PL/SQL Web Service with JDEV and publish on my standalone OC4J.
    2) Made a test with a browser, it worked OK
    3) Generated a proxy client from JDev 10.1.3.1 to invoke web service, it worked OK
    --- Now make it work on SSL----
    4) Then, added SSL configuration to oc4j , generated a certificate with keytool (updated server.xml, secure-web-site.xml), and shutting down and starting the OC4j instance.
    5) Import the certificate to JAVA_HOME/jre/lib/security/cacerts
    6) Test web service from browser on https and worked OK.
    7) When tried to modified proxy client (generated in step 3) to make it work on SSL, I realized that just changing the END_POINT to the new url (https) it worked!
    Questions----
    1.- By default the proxy client generated from JDEV 10.1.3.1 knows how to deal with SSL conections?
    2.- If I dont have previously the server certificate to import it into JAVA keystore (cacerts) how could I ,from proxy client code, capture it and import it before the validation occurs... because if the certificate is not in keystore , the program fails.
    Thanks in advance
    J.

    Hi,
    Could you please provide me with the steps necessary to create a web service proxy client through JDeveloper or any other mechanism when 2 way SSL (requiring client authentication) is enabled.
    Thanks a lot in advance

    So the documented approach results in corrupted file ? Can you confirm:
    Ans) Yes
    How was the zip file created, is it compressed ?  Yes
    If you encode / decode locally with your logic (without any call to WS) does the resulting zip work with the same tool that gives the corruption error ? \Yes, It is not giving any error.
    How are you accessing the file from UCM ?
    Navigate to below page in Fusion apps and we will be able to search for the uploaded file. Click on the file name , we will be able to open or save it to local system. When I try to open it ,it says invalid file.
    Login To Fusion Apps -> Navigator -> Tools -> File Import and export
    Can you provide the code you use for the content encoding / decoding (make sure no passwords or URLs are included) ?
    Please check the below code in Bold for specific logic for encoding, which is same as the documented approach.

Using FusionServiceTester i am able to invoke service and upload file to UCM. Using oracle.ucm.fa_client_11.1.1.jar also i am able to upload file to UCM without any issue. But using HTTP proxy client i am facing below error. Can anyone please help me. PFA code i am using to invoke this service.

    Hi Jani,
    Thanks for your reply.
    I am new to webservices and we are trying to do a POC on invoking FinancialUtilService using HTTP proxy client. I am following steps mentioned in attached pdf section "Invoking FinancialUtil Service using Web Service Proxy Client". I have imported certificate using below command.
         keytool -import -trustcacerts -file D:\Retek\Certificate.cer -alias client -keystore D:\Retek\default-keystore.jks -storepass welcome1
    Invoking
        SecurityPolicyFeature[] securityFeature =
        new SecurityPolicyFeature[] { new
        SecurityPolicyFeature("oracle/wss11_saml_token_with_message_protection_client_policy")};
        financialUtilService_Service = new FinancialUtilService_Service();
        FinancialUtilService financialUtilService= financialUtilService_Service.getFinancialUtilServiceSoapHttpPort(securityFeature);
        // Get the request context to set the outgoing addressing properties
        WSBindingProvider wsbp = (WSBindingProvider)financialUtilService;
        WSEndpointReference replyTo =
          new WSEndpointReference("https://efops-rel91-patchtest-external-fin.us.oracle.com/finFunShared/FinancialUtilService", WS_ADDR_VER);
        String uuid = "uuid:" + UUID.randomUUID();
        wsbp.setOutboundHeaders( new StringHeader(WS_ADDR_VER.messageIDTag, uuid), replyTo.createHeader(WS_ADDR_VER.replyToTag));
        wsbp.getRequestContext().put(WSBindingProvider.USERNAME_PROPERTY, "fin_user1");
        wsbp.getRequestContext().put(WSBindingProvider.PASSWORD_PROPERTY,  "Welcome1");
        wsbp.getRequestContext().put(ClientConstants.WSSEC_RECIPIENT_KEY_ALIAS,"service");
        wsbp.getRequestContext().put(ClientConstants.WSSEC_KEYSTORE_LOCATION, "D:/Retek/default-keystore.jks");
        wsbp.getRequestContext().put(ClientConstants.WSSEC_KEYSTORE_PASSWORD, "welcome1" );

  • Java proxy client logical port transport to Q and prod issue in target addr

    Hi All,
    I have a java proxy client having a logical port (configured using NWDS) to consume a web service in the provider system.
    In the logical port, I have given target address, and logical port name. While moving this client proxy NWDI dev track to Q and prod,
    how do I change this target address to point to Q and prod respectively. In other words, even though I am using Visual admin to configure the destination url for the logical port, to point to Q and prod, its still referring to the dev environment provider service after moving the proxy client to Q and prod. What is the suggested approach to take care of this issue
    Thx
    mike

    Hi Michael,
    I can only help from that point of view that I believe this question belongs to the forum
    Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and SAP
    Please try to raise this question there.
    Thanks and Regards,

  • "SOAP:Fault" in scenario with ABAP proxy client

    Hello,
    I realized the scenario CRM40_Basis620(ABAP proxy client)->XI->File.
    XI:
    The sender communication channel is a XI adapter (Parameters: HTTP 1.0, XI 3.0, Integration Server, Security profile unchecked, Security level - HTTP).
    CRM:
    The proxy generation is ok.
    SLDCHECK is ok.
    All RFC destinations are ok.
    APPINT_200_620 for CRM was installed and configured well (I think so, but...).
    When I ran the ABAP proxy client on CRM, sxmb_moni(CRM) returned the text for the XML Message (Display-CallIntegrationServer-Payloads-TraceDocument):

    Hi Roman
    There is no need for an XI adapter for client proxy.... we only use that for server proxies.

  • Web Service Call From Proxy Client in ABAP: View SOAP Request

    Hello All,
    We are working on a scenario where we have to connect to a web service from ABAP. We have extracted the WSDL, and generated the client proxy, and configured a Logical Port. However, at the time of actual call, we receive an error message "Header http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/ws/2004/08/addressing:Action for ultimate recipient is required but not present in the message.". We suspect that this is a problem with the SOAP Header, which might be missing some tags, which are required by the Web Service. Problem is, we can not trace the Web Service SOAP Header. We can not see it in SOAMANAGER, or any other transaction as such. Does any body have an idea where to look for the complete SOAP Request, in case of a Client Proxy call?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sid

    Hello Sebastian,
    Thanks for replying. We are using a higher support pack level, and hence we do not use LPCONFIG; rather we use SOAMANAGER to manage the web service logical ports. Further, SMICM would display us ICM Logs, where as we need the exact SOAP request that has been generated. We tried ST11 with no luck.
    Finally, I feel this is a wrong forum to ask such an application related question. I will close this thread and open a new thread in either PI or ABAP Forum.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Sid

  • Abap proxy client  and https webservice

    Hi, I have a problem with an abap proxy client.
    This proxy works perfectyl when I call the test webservice (via HTTP protocol) but it does not work if I try to call the productive webservice (via HTTPS protocol).  Of course I have configured LPCONFIG in order to let the proxy point to the correct web site.
    I'm pretty sure that problkem is caused by different protocols HTTP vs HTTPS.
    I thought the problem could be the web site certificate, so I added it into the PSE (transaction STRUST) but nothing happnes.
    Your help is really appreciated.

    I have loaded the certificate in the TRUST transaction.
    Anyway, in our system we do not have the SAPCRIPTOLIB libraries and I do not underastand if they are necessary or not.
    I mean, I need these libraries only if I expose an HTTPS server from SAP or even if SAP is the client and it need to access an external https webservice ?
    Please help.

  • Why does StreamSocket::ConnectAsync set up two TCP connections when proxy is configured in system?

    Hello, Dear all,
    Per my test, the proxy for HTTPS will be selected as the actual used one for the out-going packets if we do the following test in an corporate network environment. Two connections will be set up: one is with the proxy, the other one is with the target address.
    Some info about my env:
    1. the configured proxy could only be accessed in the corporate network;
    2. the target host has both private and public IPs;
    3. I don't check whether there is proxy configured in code.
    4. the issue could only occurr in the private network; If I do the test out of the corporate network, the behavior is correct because no proxy is configured. But I am not sure whether the issue would occur if there would be a usable proxy configured.
    The repro steps are:
    1. Create a Windows Store App project with VS2013. The testing code is pretty simple as the following:
    using namespace Windows::Networking::Sockets;
    StreamSocket^ streamSock = ref new StreamSocket();
    IAsyncAction ^sconn = streamSock->ConnectAsync(
    ref new Windows::Networking::HostName("10.1.2.3"), "56789",
    SocketProtectionLevel::PlainSocket);
    The target address and port (10.1.2.3:56789) could be any meaningful or bad one. We only need to observe the packet sent out from the client side in the following steps.
    2. Configure the proxy in Internet Options -> Connections -> LAN Settings -> Advanced -> Secure. Give a good proxy/port to it;
    2.1. Run the program and capturing the packet from Wireshark or other tools.
       ==> You will see that a HTTP request with header "CONNECT" is sent to the proxy. That's to say, the client will connect to the proxy.
       ==> You will also see that the client side also sent out a TCP SYN packet to the remote target address (10.1.2.3:56789).
    3. Disable or remove the proxy setting;
    3.1. Run the program and capturing the packet from Wireshark or other tools.
       ==> You will see that there would be no HTTP request sent out.
    I am using Win8.1/VS2013 and the system is up-to-date... I am not sure the behavior is designed as this, or it is a bug of the StreamSocket?
    BTW: I didn't use Windows::Networking::Connectivity::NetworkInformation::GetProxyConfigurationAsync on purpose.
    For the classical WinSock, we could only see the TCP SYN packet in step 2. That's to say, the behaviors between StreamSocket and WinSocket are different.
    Thank you all.

    A workaround to avoid proxy connection requests from being sent out is to use the
    ConnectAsync(Hostname, String, SocketProtectionLevel,
    NetworkAdapter) method with a specific adapter. The proxy-related logic is disabled when a specific network adapter is selected.
    You can retrieve the main active network adapter by calling GetInternetConnectionProfile() and then referencing the NetworkAdapter property of the returned information:
    ConnectionProfile^ connectionProfile = NetworkInformation::GetInternetConnectionProfile();
    NetworkAdapter^ adapter = connectionProfile->NetworkAdapter;
    You could also enumerate all possible adapters and try to connect on each of them, one by one:
    for each (HostName^ localHostInfo in NetworkInformation::GetHostNames())
    if (localHostInfo->IPInformation != nullptr)
    NetworkAdapter^ adapter = localHostInfo->IPInformation->NetworkAdapter;
    // Attempt to connect with this adapter.

  • CSS Load Balancing for MS Winsock Proxy Client

    Has anyone load balanced Microsoft Winsock Proxy client? I am trying to load balance internal users using the Winsock client to two MS ISA Servers running Winsock proxy for application access to the internet.

    Thanks for the post, I got this from Microsoft:
    I wanted to update you on the information I investigated on the firewall client. I found the the actual port connection used to control the connection thru ISA is by default UDP. This UDP session is over 1745 to the ISA server. This intial connection then allows for a connection over an ephemeral port to the ISA server for the actual data transfer. The data transfer is done via a TCP connection. The connection control is UDP based by default. This can be changed in the Wspcfg.ini file. By adding the ControlChannel value to the WSP_client_app section of this file, you can use WSP.TCP to allow the connections to be based with TCP. In your situation, this may be the best scenario due to the connections being load balanced.
    TCP is used by default when checking the Firewall configuration. This is why the traces showed the connection with TCP.
    Information on this can be found in the ISA help files. In the search panel of the ISA help, type in "ControlChannel" without the quotes and it will show information on this feature.
    I will re-test with TCP only setup, and see if this helps. I also have some sniffer traces I need to review to see if maybe NAT is killing me, not UDP traffic.
    I'll post back my findings next week.

  • Proxy client (over USB connection) with DHCP assigned IP address doesn't work with FRDM-K64F

    Hello,
    after reading about the issues on this forum with a static IP address on the Freescale FRDM-K64F board I went for an DHCP address but I can't get the proxy client to work over a USB connection with DHCP either.
    My console tells me the following:
    RTC Time: Wed 2014-01-01 00:07:27
    Network initialized
    IP Address:      10.143.xxx.yyy (xxx and yyy is real numbers, just changing them for the forum to letters)
    Subnet mask:     255.255.252.0
    Gateway:         10.143.xxx.yyy
    MAC-address:     00:0c:00:06:70:00
    And when I try o to connect with the following command :
    java -jar proxy.jar -socket 10.143.xxx.yyy
    I get the following output and no CLI interface:
    Trying to open socket connection with device: 10.143.xxx.yyy:2201
    Connected to the socket: Socket[addr=/10.143.xxx.yyy,port=2201,localport=49605]

    I don't know if this matter but my java version is:
    java version "1.8.0_31"
    Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_31-b13)
    Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.31-b07, mixed mode)
    Any ideas or am I missing something completely?
    Thanks
    Andy

    Hi, Andy. Please excuse my ignorance, I am very new at this ME embedded stuff. I had my challenges, but was finally able to get my board up with a static address. I went through a lot of headaches, but finally got the board flashed with the latest bin. I then updated the jwc_properties.ini file on the SD card to include:
    # Whether static configuration or DHCP server is used do get IP address. Possible values: dhcp,static
    ip.method = static
    # IP address,used with static IP configuration only
    ip.addr = 192.168.0.30
    # Network mask,used with static IP configuration only
    ip.netmask = 255.255.255.0
    # Network gateway,used with static IP configuration only
    ip.gateway = 192.168.0.1
    # DNS server,used with static IP configuration only
    ip.dns = 208.67.222.222
    # MAC address
    mac.addr = 01:02:03:04:05:06
    I was then put the card into the board, disconnected both USB cables, and then powered it up. From that point I was able to ping the board. I can now use Device Manager in NetBeans to connect to the device.
    I am struggling quite a bit with many issues. It seems that when I try to stop the app from NetBeans, the "please wait" dialog hangs forever. I have to use Windows Task Manager to kill the "JavaW" process tree and reconnect the board.
    I have also had trouble understanding the GPIO pin assignments. Another gotcha was trying to use the AutoStart feature. Since the sample app never cleanly exited, I thought that I bricked the board. The secret is to power it down, remove the SD card, and then delete all files EXCEPT the jwc_properties.ini file, put the SD card back in, then power up. It seems that the board forgets that the MIDlet was installed.
    Hope this helps others out there.
    Please everybody, post your experiences here. There seem to be very few of us, and finding pearls in the dust is rare right now.
    Regards,
    Pete

  • WL-Proxy-Client-IP returns localhost IP address

    Hello, everyone.
    I am trying to find out client' IP address. Both request.getRemoteAddr() and
    request.getHeader("WL-Proxy-Client-IP") return the value of the localhost IP address
    127.0.0.1
    Have anyone seen such behavior?

  • How can I Create a Client Configuration File for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection with Server 2012?

    I have a working RDS RemoteApp site and looking to test out the feature in Windows 7 Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\RemoteApp and Desktop Connections
    I came across this link: Create a Client Configuration File for RemoteApp and Desktop Connection and I believe this is what I need to do first, but these instructions are for
    Server 2008, and I'm running 2012.
    Any suggestions or tips on how I can begin testing this with Server 2012?

    Hi,
    You can manually enter the path to the 2012 feed and it will connect and download the RemoteApps and Desktop connections.
    If you need a sample .wcx file I have posted one here a couple of times.  If you want I will look for it and post a link.
    -TP
    I tried adding my URL's below, these are sample links that work for me right now for when I log into the web page, but neither of these work.  And I'm not sure what I would need to do with or how to create a .wcx file.
    When I type in my URL of: https://connect.mydomain.org/RDWeb, I get redirected to:
    https://connect.mydomain.org/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=/RDWeb/Pages/en-US/Default.aspx
