Proxy.pac file not working for using proxy for selected websites

After changing my ISP, i cant connect to Bluenest.org directly but with proxy. I can also connect by setting manual proxy server for all websites. But I dont want to do that as there is a bit security problem. I just wrote Proxy.pac files to use proxy sever for that particular website & put its location on Automatic Proxy Configuration. But its not working. I va tried with two types of .pac files. Given the code of the files below.....
First one..........

I submitted a bug report to Apple. The problem is present since 10.9.2, now with 10.10 and iOS. I hope they will take this problem seriously.

I've been trying to convert some .avi files to apple format using Lion's native 'Encode video files' function however keep getting a 'avconvert: source file not found for source file://fileparthhere avconvert: failed to create an export session. Check setup
I can't work out why as this has worked before in Lion and works fine for other video formats. The only thing I've done is remove Final Cut Express HD and can't add it again as I don't own it anymore
Suggestions? Is there a encoder to make this work or should it work anyway?

If you click Yes the project file will be updated when you save it. That has nothing to do with the media.
Are the Lesson and Media folders still in the Book Files folder (or whatever it's called)?
Select one of the clips in the browser and use Edit>Item Properties. One of the first lines is Source. That gives you the file path for where your media is supposed to be located. What does it say? If nothing is there, use the File>Reconnect function and point the application to where the media is located.

Proxy.PAC file not working after upgrade to 10.9.2

I have a local proxy.pac file and it was working happily before 10.9.2.
It was loaded under "Network > Proxies > Automatic Proxy Configuration" and effective for all browsers (Chrome, Safari and Firefox).
After upgrade to 10.9.2 seems like it's being totally ignored. I have a CNTLM proxy in my machine and can see the traffic coming in. Looking at logs, no traffic really comes in and all browsers try to access internet directly.
If I set the proxy.pac directly in Firefox, it works but I want all my browsers and application. I want the same functionality as of 10.9.1 and before.

I submitted a bug report to Apple. The problem is present since 10.9.2, now with 10.10 and iOS. I hope they will take this problem seriously.

PAC file not working in IE10

I recently upgraded to IE10 on my Windows 7 machine on our network, however IE seems to ignore the PAC file. It works on other machines which are running IE9, just not IE10.
I also have a Windows 8 machine with IE10 and it doesn't seem to work either.

This issue has started cropping up in my environment as well
I have a pac file set on a webserver location (hosted in the cloud with no authentication for our source addresses).
I've checked the temporary internet files location and stuff is downloaded and saved there. What I see is the following
IE doesn't work, however the pac url is reachable. I run a wireshark and I see the pacfile retrieved and it passes the javascript to IE (the pac file is also downloaded). However IE never sends any requests to either of the 2 proxies, it just attempts direct
connection.
Further, for the rest, Chrome and any other app that uses IE settings for it's proxy info just continue to work no problems.
Also with the exact same setup on IE9, no issues (whole company runs like this) if we were to upgrade the org to IE10, nobody would have internet anymore. Anybody found a fix?!
So far the warnings about this stuff I've found is
file based pac file support is deprecated -> host it on a web server - check. We do this, so this isn't it
the temp file issue outlined above. I've checked temp file location, it's set, it's working and it's grabbing the pac file.
so far as I can conclude at the moment is that IE10 has just stopped interpreting pac files. which is odd, because this has just started occuring in the last week with no environment changes. Something in a windows update?
EDIT: while trying various options I found resetting the Internet explorer from advanced tab in internet options seemed to fix my issue. I'll leave the above here anyway as a 'working config'.

PAC file not working in IE 9

I have the IE9 browser set to use the PAC file, but it does not send traffic to the WSA. I have tried it locally from the C: drive and downloading it from the WSA PAC source. Putting the link to the file opens it from either location. It seems that it is not processing it.
Some document suggested to name it proxy.pac; this did not help.
Here is the code to proxy when the WSA is available and go direct to the website when the WSA is not in the network the user is in (mobile users)

I would highly recommend putting the WSA in the DNS resolution. Depending on what kind of authentication you are performing, you will need to resolve the hostname.

Overwrite existing file not working for FTP

Hi XI Folks,
I am trying not to overwrite the file at receiver - FTP server.
It is getting overwritten though I uncheck 'Overwrite existing file' checkbox in FTP. But the same is working fine for NFS. Please find the config details below.
Receiver communication channel Configuration:
Transport Protocol : FTP
File construction mode: Create
Put File: Use temporary file
Overwrite existing file : Not checked
The file is getting overwritten. Iam in SP15.

Is the "overwrite exist file - checkbox" works only for NFS & not for FTP.

If we have two files with the same name then what do you want to do? It is the same scenario here? If you dont check the overwrite existing file option then it can write the file also. If you check then it will overwrite. If you dont want this then you can add the timestamp to the existing file. Else you have to make sure of the naming conventions of the file.

Open URL or File not working for standalone exe

I've tried lots of different things here...
I have one movie, published as standalone exe (windows). In
Preferences, I have "Open URL or File, and enter the next movie
name - movie_2.exe.
I have tried using a front or backslash in front of the file
name.
I've confirmed the files do both exist in the same directory.
Symptom:
They publish fine, and I can click on the exe to run it, but
when it ends, it seems to be looking for a site...I get a browser
window that opens, and a please wait, while it looks for
http://movie_2.exe/, then a "Page
cannot be displayed".
Any hints?

Do you have AVG Safe Search installed? It blocks use of the Enter key after typing in a search string.
Disable it by clicking the Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Extensions. You should be able to find it in there.

Clob is not working for bulk data files in PL/SQL XML program

Does Multithreading for file transfers work when using the WebDAV protocol?

I am looking at recommending an upgrade from CS5.5 to CS6 for my job, but I am wondering if our server system will be able to use the multiple file upload and download feature new to CS6. If this is not available for WebDAV then there is not much of a point on the Dreamweaver side for us to upgrade.

What's This Help not working for one entry in each header file

I have a large RoboHelp project that I have imported into Version 8 from a previous version. Prior to the import into Version 8, all of the What's This Help in the project was working perfectly; now, post-import, I have a problem.
Firstly, some background information.
My project contains a large number of individual header (.H) files, one for each dialog within the software. These header files, which have been generated and provided by our developers, contain one entry for each field on the dialog to which the header file relates. The header files are all contained within a \HTML Topics\Fields\ folder (going from the root of my Help project).
Each header file has a corresponding text (.TXT) file. These text files contain entries that correspond to the entries in the relevant header file. The text files are also contained within the \HTML Topics\Fields\ folder.
Below is an example of the contents of a header file:

The What's This Help that was part of the original project still works perfectly. However, after upgrading the project to RoboHelp Version 8, I have had to update the project to reflect changes to the software. As part of this work, I have imported some new header files and updated some existing ones - and edited the corresponding text files accordingly.
The What's This Help that is covered by the header files that I have imported since the upgrade to RoboHelp Version 8 does not work correctly; in each case, the What's This Help does not work for whichever field appears at the top of the appropriate text file. The position of the entry in the corresponding header file does not make a difference.
If I manually edit a text file to move a different entry to the top then recompile the Help project, the What's This Help does not work for the field that now appears at the top of the text file - and the What's This Help for the field that used to appear at the top of the text file now works.
I've tried everything I can think of to fix this, but nothing has worked. It seems as if there is a problem in the way RoboHelp is compiling the header and text files.
If I use Microsoft HTML Help Workshop to decompile the CHM file, then view the contents of the resulting, decompiled text files, the affected files appear as follows:

Note how the entry at the top - which relates to the What's This Help that doesn't work - appears differently to the other entries which do work. The name of the ID appears after ".topic" rather than the appropriate ID number.

Its working now. We just kept trying to reinstall the tools and restarting indesign. On the 4th time the buttons started working. I can't explain why it finally worked, just that it is working now.

Document library open in client application not working for img,pdf,txt files

In an office 365 sharepoint site i have enabled open in client applicartion for document library but it is not working for image/txt/pdf files for word and excel files it is working fine. I have even turned on the feature open document in client application
by default from site collection features also but there is no change.
Please advice.

There's no reason you can't go on using iWeb for this - with iWeb '08 you have to publish to a local folder (i.e. on your Mac) and then upload the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) to your hosting service: and you have to make sure you enter the new URL in the Publish information or the feed won't work properly; this done, an iWeb podcast should work fine.
Of course there is still the problem that iWeb is not supported and sooner or later a system upgrade may break it. You could look at RapidWeaver: you can make podcasts with that, though the last time I looked into that - which was admittedly some time back - I didn't feel it was ideal for this. There are lots of other podcast creation programs or services around. WordPress is OK but it may be a bit of a steep learning curve: Libsyn is an online service that seems to work reliably. Blogger writes messy feeds but does usually work. Podcast Maker used to work well - I used it myself a few years back - but it rather looks as if it's gone moribund and it may not be reliable with Lion/Mountain Lion, so you would want to check into that.
