Hello, I am working on a SAP CRM 7 Sales implementation and we are implementing leads and opportunity scenarios. The current business organization model is that there multiple vertical and horizontal departments. This is typical matrix structure. This organization has done the segregation of its clients based on the verticals so every clients belongs to at least one or more Vertical department but Horizontal departments can contact all the clients. In the same way sales executives are also either belonging to one or more Verticals or Horizontal departments? Horizontal sales executive can create leads for any clients available in the system but a Vertical sales executive can only create lead only for the client belongs to his vertical and assigned to him. This can be achieved by creating organization structure and business partner relationship.
Now the problem statement is that few sales executives need work for both some Verticals and Horizontals at the same time. But requirement is that they should be able to do the both roles with single user id but multiple roles. So when sales executive is creating leads his vertical department, he should only be able to select clients assigned to his Vertical only but when he is creating lead for Horizontal department, he should be able to select any clients.
So Can I determine the business partners linked to user based on the assigned role and org. structure?
Please let me know if this is not clear also note we are only using CRM WebUI no SAP ePortal.

CRM Agent Inbox and Org Structures
Hi There,
Does anyone know if the Agent Inbox can be integrated with the CRM Org Structure so that the Forward To Groups/Persons will remain up to date (as per the HR org structure which is replicated to CRM). I know that the Forward to Groups are defined as a customising task so I am not sure if this is possible, but maybe there is a program that can compare the Forward to Groups with theorg structure and update them in a batch. This would be necessary when employees resign/join/move departments.

Plan version and org structure
Dear all,
As the company is planing to change/expand it's org structure, they created a new org structure. Someone said that, we can do future planing in by creating a dummy org structure and once it's approved, we can make it as original and will keep the old org structure for reference. And to activate the new org structure, we need to create a new plan version.
So my question is,
1. How to assign/link the new org structure to the new plan version? How can we make sure that the new changes (eg. any new joinee) will effect only in the new org structure and not in the old org structure?.
2. How to transfer the old org structure details to the new org structure?

You can copy your active org structure through Tcode (RE_RHCOPL00 - Copy) then in Table T77S0 make the Plogi - Plogi switch as 02 that is your alternate plan version. Then through PSO0 you can set this plan version.

How to find link between Business partner and Org unit in Solution manager

I have a requirement where my rule finds business partner assinged for that support team and in transaction ppoma_crm we have org unit assigned to that business partner number below that we have positions and user assigned...
I can find business partner for the transaction now i need to find the org unit for the assigned business partner so i could use for agent determination in workflow.

Annamalaido you know? ... the structure is like this... i have orgunit then a position to it and then i have assigned a business partner which is with prefix CP... i m not seeing the users assigned to it so my workflow doesnt get triggered if i use this org unit..

Multiple business roles and org data determination
Hello together,
we are having an issue with the organizational data determination. Some users have multiple business roles in different sales organizsations. This means, they are assigned to several units in our org modell.
This users can select the business role after the login screen. But this selection doesn't affect the org data determination (rule: ORGMAN_12).
For example. My user is assigned to 4 different org units. After the login i select a role. In debugging i can see this role, but the system selects only the first role and not the role i've selected after the login.
Is there any other rule which follows the select business role? Or can i assign one user only to one unit?

The problem is, that i need exactly the org unit according to the selected business role at the beginning. Because we have in one company different distribution channel (e.g. 10, 20, 30). And depending on this the user can create an business partner in 10, 20 or 30. So, in our case we have some users assigned to 10 AND 20 AND 30. For each channel we have one role.
Our org modell looks like this:
company XYZ
--channel 10 ( role 'salespro10')
mustermann-m
--channel 20 ( role 'salespro20')
mustermann-m
--channel 30 ( role 'salespro30')
mustermann-m
If the user mustermann-m select salespro10 he should be able to create a business partner in channel 10. And if the user select the salespro20 he should be able to create the bp in channel20.
But if you use the RH_STRUC_GET i get ALL assigment.

There, fill the following importing paramers:
ACT_OTYPE: S (for position)
ACT_OBJID: <your position id like 50000814>
ACT_WEGID: O-S-CP (search path: Organization, then position, then central person/business partner)

Refreshing business role assignment to org. structure
Hi Experts,
I am trying to change the assignment of business role in org. structure but the changes are not coming into effect.
i.e. initially i have assigned servicepro to my org. strcuture & i am getting the relevant screen on login into WEB UI.
Now i have changed it to marketingpro still i am getting the same screen.
Can any one of you suggest that how i can refresh such changes.
& can anyone also suggest how i can assign business role directly to users.

I assume the reason for Business Role change not refelecting can be
1. A Profile assigned in SU3 or
2. You are trying to open the Web UI from same browser session using a new tab in IE7 (internet explorer), you need to create a new browser session.IE7 tabbed browser does not recognize the changes in SAP GUI, you need to open in a new browser.

Integrate HR org structure and CUA?
We are considering a new design for our authorization management on our production ECC 6.0 system.
There will be 2 productive ECC 6.0 systems; which system you use will depend on your global location. We currently utilize the HR org structure to assist us with provisioning and deprovisioning accounts on our durrent single ECC 6.0 instance, and we hang composite roles off of positions in the org structure, so that a fair amount of authorization management is automated.
If we were to put a CUA client over the two productive ECC 6.0 clients, how might that be integrated with the HR organizational model? Does CUA integrate well with an org structure? Any experiences with this would be helpful.Hi Mary,
Firstly, are the org structures in the two ECC clients identical - in sync with each other?
If the org structures are different then it would limit the options that you would have:
- CUA client would simply be used for the provisioning of the user id
- The role to position allocation would still take place locally in each of the ECC clients
- You would have to maintain the 105 relationships locally in the ECC clients
- You would have to set the role maintenance option in SCUM to local maintenance
If the org structure is the same on both ECC clients, then it would provide you with some additional options:
Option 1 - use the approach described above to allow for local maintenance
Option 2 - ALE the org structure to the CUA client, then allocate the composite roles to the positions on the org structure and maintain the 105 relationship on the CUA client.
- the roles will then be distributed to the correct child system when the org recon is run
Option 3 - Use one of the ECC systems as the CUA client (Which we are busy implementing at the moment)
I'm using my ECC system as my central CUA for the production system, I know that many people would disagree with this due to upgrade requirements and all the rest. However in the Netweaver environment the ECC client is typically on the highest basis release, which caters for the CUA requirement and CUA is far more stable these days which reduces the risk. The other reason we have chosen this route is also the capacity of the ECC production system which is suitable.
Also the HRORG is maintained on the same system, therefore less ALE requirements to move the org structure between systems etc. In the landscape we currently have BI and Portal, future applications/modules include ESS, MSS, APO and SEM.
To achieve the solution I create all roles for all applications in the landscape, in the ECC client - for non-ECC roles the role definition is only role name and description (the correct authorisations are then maintained in the relevant child system). These are then distributed via RFC to the various child systems, it requires a couple of small changes but does work fine. All roles are then inlcuded into a composite role, regardless of which child system the role belongs to. The composite role is then allocated to the position in the HR org and once the HR recon is run, the role allocations are distributed to the correct child system. An example of a Line Manager Composite role would include:
- HR Line Manager (ECC Client)
- Cost Centre Manager (ECC Client)
- BW Line Manager Menu role (Portal)
- BW Line Manager Data role (BI client)
- Purchasing Approval (ECC Client)
I'm not sure if this has helped you, but in short the CUA integration with HRORG does work reasonably well and depending on the approach you choose it could affect the amount of maintenance that takes place. Just remember that the structural profile allocations would always take place locally on the ECC clients and only the role allocations can be managed from the CUA.

WBS, Business Area and Profit Center not flowing in GR/IR Account
Hello Experts,
I have come across a very strange situation. I have two MIGO documents which are showing different posting characteristics:
1) FI Document 5000000553
In this document, the Business area and profit center is flowing in GR/IR Clearing Account (15660000) but WBS element is not flowing to this line item.
Screen shot is as follows:-
As you can see from the above screen shot that, for GR/IR Account 15660000. Only Business Area and Profit Center are flowing and WBS Element is not coming.
2. FI Document 5000015602
In this document, the WBS element is going in GR/IR Clearing Account (15660000) but Business area and profit center is not flowing to this line item
Screen Shot is as follows:-
From the above screen shot, Business Area and Profit Center are not flowing but WBS Element is coming.
Could you please let me know what could be the possible reason for this behavior of both the documents.?

Its great to see your reply. Yes, I know that currencies and posting dates are different. But that's the way it is. One document is for fiscal year 2014 and other is for 2013. There is nothing related to currency and posting date which was causing the strange behavior of the system.
However, our team analyzed the issue and found that only for service material having a special valuation type related to services is causing the problem and still we are diagnosing the other possible root cause as well.

Same Org as Business Group and Operating Unit cannot be migrated via isetup
Hi,
I have tried to migrate the setup of an organization which is classified as both Business group and Operating unit.
When it comes to Operating unit API, it errors out with the following Warning message.
I request the iSetup Team to clarify whether there is any restriction in iSetup that the same org as BG and OU cannot be transferred.
If yes, then how to migrate the same...
The above situation happens for the org classified as OU and IO. In this case the INV org API give the warning message.
