PS CC: export layer to files without prefix / numbers

Hi,
Trying to modify the script in Photoshop CC for the "layers to file" option in order to remove the number-prefix, I just got erorrs.
Has anyone a working solution for removing the numbers while exporting?

Oh, I`ve got the solution:
Start line 1020:
var fileNameBody = fileNamePrefix;
        //fileNameBody += "_" + zeroSuppress(i, 4); (change this line into a comment)
        if(fileNameBody != '') fileNameBody += "_";   (make an if-statement for the case you give the file a perfix, it will add automatically an underscore)
        fileNameBody += layerName;                         (say that the file name is the layer name)

As of now, the only way to transfer or share Proto files from the app is via the Creative Cloud website.

Photoshop Script: Export Layer To File

I have set up an action to use "Export Layer To Files" to save out multipile jpg, and I have noticed the file compression is allot larger compared to the, Save for web option. Is there anyway I can use Export Layer To Files in an action, but then use the Save for web option to get better compression for the final file export?

The "Export Layer To Files" script seems to be a plugin script therefore it records the setting use in it dialog into an action step when recorded into an action. Thus when the action is played the "Export Layer To Files" script step will bypass displaying its "Export Layer To Files" dialog and use the setting it recorded into your action step. So you must have selected save jpeg and set a high quality jpeg setting in its dialog when you recorded the action. If you re-record the action step and uncheck include ICC profile and set a low jpeg quality setting. The jpeg files saved will be smaller in the future. The Jpeg quality setting influences how compression is done. Low quality setting loose more image quality than high settings but the output file size is smaller with lower values. Save for web you can reduce output size also by saving lower quality image additionally you can also strip all image meta-data and reduce the image size using interpolation.

How to export to text file without ruin the format

Hi guys,
I need some help here. My company recently come with the decision to print the mainframe report file that usually come as a text file, to a virtual printer. This virtual printer is printing the report as Adobe PDF format. The problem is, my Line of Business have a macros on Excell file that will grab the information from the text file to be processed in the Excell format. I tried to use Adobe Professional 8 to re-convert the PDF file to be text file, but the result is, most of the blank space is gone, and it is align to left, thus make it unusable to the Excell file.
Unfortunately, I can't provide you the sample of the document, because it contain classified customer info.
But appreciate if you can give me some advice.

It sounds as if you are dealing with untagged PDF.
Tagged output PDFs, with a well-formed structure, provide (amoung other things) the ability to Save As/Export
content to some other applications with all or most of the layout/format intact.
I suspect that the output PDFs you have are untagged.
As there is, currently, a rather limited number of applications that support adequate tag management
(FrameMaker, InDesign, MS Word (via Adobe's PDFMaker & to a much lesser extent with Office Save As to PDF - XPS)
I suspect the mechanism used to provide your PDFs won't cut it with regards to providing a tagged output PDF having a
well-fomed structure (which would include dictionaries containing format/layout data).
As alluded to by Bernd, there may be third party plug-ins that might help.
The more reliable/functional ones tend to not be inexpensive.

Export Multi-artboard filename without prefix slash

My mac OS version is OS X 10.10.2.
Since i update the Illustrator from cc to cc2014,
when i export multi-artboard images,
the artboard image filename will be automatic added a slash mark in the first character position,
like "/someprefix_artboardname.png"
The correct filename should be"someprefix_artboardname.png".
It won't happened in Illustrator CC.

I have been using this method successfully for quite some time with these exact files, only in the last few days has this problem shown up.
When I originally made the template in indesign, I imported the pdf, showed import options, and linked the pages to the same page number in the pdf. 1 to 1, 2 to 2, etc. My original thought was that this setting had been lost, so deleted the linked pdf and imported it again to try to get the 1 to 1 link. However, that did not change anything and I noticed that the page that shows up by itself in the pdf is almost always page 2, not page 1. If the page-to-page connection had been lost, all of the pages in indesign would be linking to page 1 as is the default behavior for linked pdfs.
Also, I thought that the save issue would be on the illustrator side too, so I tried resaving it but that didn't work either. The only way that I can get the file to work is if I remake it completely and save over the old file.
Now, I know that you're most likely thinking that this is an illustrator issue, but I don't think that it is one or the other, but rather both of them. The screenshots that I attached above are not the only way this error manifests itself. Sometimes the pdf looks right in acrobat, but once it is linked it displays with a transparency, shows only a few of the pages, or shows none at all.
I'm probably going in circles here, but I cannot figure out which program is the cause of the error or if there are two different issues that are happening at the same time.

Need help! cannot export a .psd file without anti aliasing.

Just installed the new CC version of illustrator. I export a lot of .psd files from illustrator. I think that I have turned off all of the anti aliasing in illustrator, but I must have missed something. Please help!
Works fine when I export from illustrator CS6.

Exporting a csv file out of numbers into mail or google mail

I am trying to export a contact list in csv format to my google mail contacts. When i try to open the file it opens as an attachment on an email. When I click on the attachment it continues to open a duplicate email with the attachment. Help! This in in numbers btw.

- 1 - If I group the objects in a single one, I may paste the entire chart into Mail.
- 2 - If objects are separated but selected together, only the graph object is pasted int0 Mail.
- 3 - If I select the graphic object I may copy-paste it into Mail.
- 4 - If I select only the block with labels I can' Copy it, I always get a bell signal.
I tryed this 4th case hoping that I would be able to study its contents in AppleScript but, nada. I can't copy it.
- 5 - Other missing feature, I can't drag and drop a Numbers objet out of the doc window. It seems that the Numbers team forgot to read Apple Human Guidelines.

I am a newbie in CS5 , I tried to batch export layer to files in CS5 , because I have thousands PSD files that I need to export layers in separated png files..
In each script I made I have the following error.." reference error: dlgMain is not found" ( in french: erreur de reference: dlgMain n'est pas definie)

Weird numbers when Exporting Layers to Files / Layer Comps to Files

Hi there,
File > Scripts > Export Layers to Files ...
File > Scripts > Layer Comps to Files ...
File > Scripts > Layer Comps to PDF ...
File > Scripts > Layer Comps to WPG ...
After I use each of these Scripts , even if I specify "File Name Prefix:", in the name of the exported files I see strange nomeration. This is pretty confusing , because each time I have to rename the files to remove these numbers.
Adobe please remove the numbers prefix that these Scipts adds..

Export only a single layer as image without hiding other layers?

I know I can just make only one layer visible and then save as e.g. PNG. But my question is - do I have to make all other layers invisibile in order to save only my one single layer as image? Or is there a way to save only a single layer (or a few at once) without hiding the rest of them?

What does export mean in your mind. Remember Photoshop is a document editor not a file editor it only save files from documents, There is a way to toggle off visible layers but the one you Alt click on visibility icon. Perhaps the scriptlistiner can shed some light on that, Photoshop will still have to process all layers and you need to toggle the visibility the second time. It sounded to me that you want to do something like Export Layers to Files that is why I suggested that you look at how Adobe programmers addressed the subject.

A simple way to export any record (table/view) to an csv fiel, is to create a rowset and loop through all record fields, like below example code

I have a requirement in SAP HR where in the appraiser can add comments in the area given and can export that to excel file. Currently the file is getting exported but the comments getting split into deifferent rows.
I want the entire comment to be fit in one row.

if your text edit value is stored in 'lv_string' variable.
then before exporting the value to excel you have to remove CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>NEWLINE
that is '#' from the variable lv_string.
for that use code some thing like this.
REPLACE ALL OCCURRENCES OF CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>NEWLINE in lv_string WITH space.
I think this will do the trick.

iMovie '08, Mac OS X (10.5.8), FCE 4

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!
