PS CS4 - Displays images in triangles while in PS. See Screenshot.

Hello I just downloaded and installed PS CS4 Extended, and set to use the Trial.
Okay so my problem is that whenever i open a new document and start to color in it, it displays in some triangles or well spikes. You can see a Screenshot i took.
So, I tried resetting the settings, but still came up with this problem.
The graphic card that im using, is Ati Radeon HD 2600 - with fully updated drivers.
Please help me! (:

Solutions to common problems
The first thing that you should do if you have any problems whatsoever is to apply the latest Photoshop patch (currently 11.0.1) and update your video card drivers.
If Photoshop starts acting weird then you should also reset your preferences

    Hi,
    My requirement is show an image gif file in jsp, through portal.
    This problem is specific to 8.1 version.
    Created an image type content in BEA repository which i could retrieve from workshop

    Also, there is no luck with displaying text content from a file, using printDoc
    tag. Can some one point me to right resource.

    Hi panji,
    I used 7.0 tag lib, just to make use of "printDoc" tag which is available in 7.0version
    only and not in 810. However, i figured out a way to display image using 8.1 (
    of course, by using request.getContextPath() + "/ShowBinary" + imagedoc.getPath())
    But still, i do not find a way to display a doc type file in jsp, which is my
    original problem.
    As per the edocs at http://edocs.bea.com/workshop/docs81/doc/en/core/index.html,
    <cm:getProperty node="<%=doc_node%>" name="file"/>
    should be able to display a txt file but nothing is getting rendred onto jsp.
    ( i have created a book type content in the repo. and file attached is of type
    txt ).
    Can you pls give some clue what i am missing here?
    thanks

  • Response Already commited exception while displaying Image outside WAR File

    My application contains a JSF page, which is bound to a Spring bean. The UI components state of the JSF page is provided by the Spring bean properties (This means the Spring bean is the backing bean of the JSF page) . My problem is the JSF page also contains a graphicImage meant to display image stored outside the WAR file.
    I tried using the ImageServlet that streams the image to the HttpServletResponse as suggested in:
    http://balusc.blogspot.com/2007/04/imageservlet.html However, I receive a Response Already commited exception. I guess this is because the Faces servlet has already sent back a response based on the other UI component values and the ImageServlet is then trying to repeat that. Please suggest how to handle this

    First thanks for your prompt reply but I am still stuck. Let me get into details. My JSF page is:
    <f:view>
      <h:form id="MyForm" >
        <h:graphicImage value="image?file=#{springDaoRef.imageName}&url=#{springDaoRef.imageUrl}"  width="100"
           height="100"/>
       Category: <h:outputText value="#{springDaoRef.categoryName}"/>
       Image Title: <h:outputText value="#{springDaoRef.imageTitle}"/>
      </h:form>
    </f:view>The ImageServlet is receiving the file and url parameter values and reading quite fine from the image present in the file system. The problem occurs at the following statement in ImageServlet:
    output = new BufferedOutputStream(response.getOutputStream());Im using Glassfish and it reports the following stack:

  • Efficiency of decoding and displaying image files?

    BRIEF SUMMARY
    My question is this: can Flash Player download JPG and GIF
    files from a server and rapidly open/decode them, ready for
    display, efficiently and
    entirely 'in memory'?
    Would Flex be a good choice of language for developing a RIA
    that needs to continually download lots of JPG and GIF images
    on-the-fly from the server and render them on the screen? I *don't*
    want my application to thrash the hard disc.
    BACKGROUND
    I am designing a 'rich' web app, and I'm investigating
    whether Flex is the right tool for the job.
    Although Flash's animation features are an obvious selling
    point for implementing my user interface, I also need to do some
    server-side rendering. What I want to do is perhaps a little
    unorthodox: I will be generating lots of GIF and JPG files on the
    fly and these will be streamed to the client (along with other
    application data, e.g. in XML format) to update different parts of
    the on-screen document. In need this to happen very quickly (in
    some cases, creating the effect of animation).
    It happens that JPGs and 16-colour GIFs will be, by far, the
    most efficient formats for streaming the images, because of the
    nature of the application. I could of course send the images in
    some proprietary format, geared for my application, but presumably
    decoding the images would be slow as I would have to implement this
    myself in ActionScript, and so I would be limited by the speed of
    Flex 'bytecode'. (I realise Flash is a lot more optimised than it
    once was, but I am hoping to see a gain from using image formats
    that Flash natively understands!)
    Naturally the internet bandwidth should (in principle) be the
    bottleneck. However, assuming I can get my image files to the
    client on time, want I want to know is:
    how efficient is Flash at loading such files?
    Bearing in mind that I'm not just displaying the occasional
    image -- I will be doing this continuously. Most of the images
    won't be huge, but there will be several separate images per
    second.
    The image files will be a mixture of normal colour JPGs and
    4-bit colour GIFs (LZW-compressed). I know that Flash natively
    supports these formats, but depending on how Adobe have implemented
    their LZW/Huffman decoding and so on, and how much overhead there
    is in opening/processing downloaded image files before they are
    ready to 'blit' to the screen, I imagine this could be pretty fast
    or pretty slow!
    If my client only has a modest PC, I don't want the JPG/GIF
    decoding alone to be thrashing his CPU (or indeed the disc) before
    I've even got started on 'Flashy' vector stuff.
    I'm new to Flash, so are there any 'gotchas' I need to know
    about?
    E.g. Would it be fair to assume Flash Player will do the
    decoding of the downloaded image entirely 'in memory' without
    trying to do anything clever like caching the file to disc, or
    calling any libraries which might slow down the whole process? It
    would be no good at all if the images were first written to the
    client's hard disc before being ready to display, for example.
    Further, if I'm doing something a little out-of-the-ordinary,
    and there is no 'guarantee' that images will be loaded quickly,
    what I'm doing might be a bad idea if a later version of Flash
    Player may (for example) suddenly start doing some disc access in
    the process of opening a newly downloaded image. So, while I could
    just 'try it and see', what I really need is some assurance that
    what I'm doing is sensible and is likely to carry on working in
    future.
    Finally, I imagine JPG/GIF decoding could be something that
    would vary from platform to platform (e.g. for the sake of
    argument, Flash Player for Windows could use a highly-optimised
    library, but other versions could be very inefficient).
    This could be the 'make or break' of my application, so all
    advice is welcome! :) Thanks in advance.

    You need a servlet/jsf component to render the image in the response.

  • How to display images on my internal isight?

    Hi,
    I just bought the new iMac 2 gig dual. Running on 10.5.2.
    I wanted to know how to display images on my screen during a video conference chat without resorting to holding up a print out to the camera? I need something where I can switch from video mode to image mode and show a single image at a time if I need to. All that while still talking of coarse. If it isn't possible with my iSight software, can you point me to other software I can download and still use my built in cam?
    I hope I was clear enough in asking this.
    Thanks
    Liban

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, Liban
    iChat can do what you want, but I do not know of any web-based video chat site that can.
    Look for Help or Support information on the site you are using or ask the Webmaster if his site has the capability to do what you want.

  • Problem in displaying images one by one in JList

    I have a problem in displaying images one by one in Jlist. I want to show 100 images as a thumbnailview in jlist but it is talking too much time to show all the images after scalling 100 images to thumbnail view and making it into ImageIcon. So, i thought that it would be better way to show one by one after scaling it into thumnailview. But my renderer is getting calling after 100 images scaled down and setting into list. I have posted my code 2 days back but there is no reply.
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?threadID=789943
    I donno where i am missing in this code.
    Plz suggest me some solution for it.

    Where is the scaling done? In the ListCellRenderer? Regardless of where that is being done, I assume you are caching the scaled images after you scale them, right? If not, consider adding some sort of caching.
    This should do the trick...
    Rework your ListCellRenderer to check to see if a scaled version of the image is available. If not, start a thread to do the scaling and create an ImageIcon. In the meantime, while that thread is running, have the renderer return some sort of stock icon, like a little generic image icon. When the scaling thread completes, make a call to repaint() on the JList so the cell renderer gets re-asked for the icons. This time around, the renderer should notice that a scaled version (the ImageIcon) is available. Return that. So, this method doesn't guarantee that the images will be produced in order, 1...2...3..., but it will return images as they become available, and the overall JList rendering won't wait until all 100 are ready. If you want them returned in order, just do all of the scaling in a single thread and queue up the images to be scaled, in order.
    I hoped this helps. (If it does, please throw me some Duke Dollars.)

  • Display images in applets

    hi every body.
    I want to display images in an applet when i invoke it from the jsp page . it is not working. the code is as follows.
    <html>
    <body>
    <jsp:plugin type = "applet"
         code ="Welcome.class"
         width="475" height = "350" >
    </jsp:plugin>
    </body>
    </html>
    while the code of "Welcome.java" is as follows.
    ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("aa.gif");
    JButton button = new JButton(image);
    i have placed the aa.gif file in the same directory where i placed the Welcome.class and the jsp file.
    when i run this program the i recieve the message that the applet is not loaded.
    can some body help me how to place images in applets.
    thanks.

    You should be able to test that applet on you hard drive first. If it works check the case of the image file.
    Web servers look for case. If you are asking for ImageIcon img = new ImageIcon("abc.gif") and what is loaded on your web server is "abc.GIF" it won't find it. Same goes for basic HTML tags like
    <Img src=abc.gif>. But it will find it on you hard drive when you run the applet there.

  • How do i get itunes 11 to display my album art while in list mode like it did in the previous version?

    How do i get itunes 11 to display my album art while in list mode like it did in the previous version?

    I think the Sidebar preview image is gone. But found that when I'm playing music either from the entire library or a playlist you can click the tiny thumbnail at the top to open a Artwork based player that is scalable. Reduce (minimize) the main Itunes window and the player is actually Nice.  Hope that helps.

  • Display Images from Database

    Hi all,
    I require to display images stored in database along with textual description of it on a JSP.
    The image file should not be stored intermediately on file system (i.e w/o using img HTML tag)
    It is a typical shopping cart appln. where images are fetched from database and the associated description is displayed along side.
    Please note that it is the case of Mixed content types(text and binary data).
    Thanks and Regards

    Like "Breakfast" said, you can do this with a servlet that retrieves your images from a database....
    if you create a servlet to do this, you would have a generic servlet which retrieves a picture from a database based upon a key which could be a picture name or number.
    Lets say the file is out there in the database as a BLOB or Binary Image... you could have this kind of code in the doPost(HttpRequest req, HttpResponse res) or doService(HttpRequest req, HttpResponse res) method.
    The table holding the image has at least two columns one called IMAGE which holds the binary image and the other called FILENAME. If the connection to the DB is already open, you do something like this.
    String fileToGet = (String)req.getParameter("FILENAME");
    rs = conn.createStatement().executeQuery("select from IMAGE_TABLE where FILENAME='" + fileToGet + "'");
    if(rs.next())
    InputStream in = rs.getBinaryStream("IMAGE");
    res.setContentType("image/jpg"); // or whatever type of file it is.
    ServletOutputStream sout = res.getOutputStream();
    int c;
    while((c = in.read()) != -1)
    sout.write(c);
    in.close();
    sout.close();
    This should write your image to the response output of the servlet.
    Now, where you want your image, you put.
    <img src="/servlet/ImageServlet?FILENAME="thefileIwant">
    This should do what you want... Use your favorite pipe copy method to get the input stream to the output stream. If you are worried about overhead and scaling like "breakfast" said (it CAN be a problem in high access sites), then you can add an image caching scheme and get really complex.... But this is a rough idea on what to do.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to decode a set of datas received from serial port and display image on a canvas based on CVI ?

    Hi !
    I have received a set of datas via rs232 and it contains picture messages. I have to decode the datas first and then display them on a canvas.
    I have known several functions that may be used . Such as
    int SetBitmapData (int bitmapID, int bytesPerRow, int pixelDepth, int colorTable[], unsigned char bits[], unsigned char mask[]);
    int CanvasDrawBitmap (int panelHandle, int controlID, int bitmapID, Rect sourceRectangle, Rect destinationRectangle);
     However,I don't know how to set the following parameters according to the actual pixel values and color values.
    int bytesPerRow, int pixelDepth, int colorTable[], unsigned char bits[], unsigned char mask[]
     What's more,I have no idea how to decode the datas.
    The  attachment is a incomplete project. I will be very appreciated if anyone could help me .
    Best regards.

    Decode and display image.zip ‏212 KB

    Well, things are getting a bit clearer now.
    1. Your image is actually 240x240 pixel (not 320x240 as you told before). The size of image data is 57600 bytes which corresponds to that frmat (I was puzzled by such a data size compared with larger image dimensions!)
    2. The image is a 8-bits-per-pixel one; this means that you must provide a color palette to create the bitmap
    3. You cannot simply copy image data into bitmap fields in CVI: CreateBitmap always produce an image with pixeldepth matched with display colour depth (normally 24 or 32 bpp)
    All that means that you must:
    1. Create the appropriate color palette with 256 colors: it may be a grayscale or color palette depending on camera characteristics. Grayscale palette can be found in my sample project, while sample colour palettes can be found here (here the description of a "standard" 8-bpp color palette)
    2. Create the bits array correctly dimensioned for the color depth of your monitor
    3. Get each pixel value from the camera, lookup in the color palette for the appropriate colour and create the RGB informations into the bits array in memory
    4. Display the bitmap on the canvas
    As a first step, I would configure my system for 256-color display setting, create a bitmap and simply copy image data into it: you should be able to get the correct image back to your screen.
    Proud to use LW/CVI from 3.1 on.

  • ADF BC:Displaying Image On JSP page

    Hai All
    I'm using ADF BC and JDev 10.1.3.
    I want to show an image on my jsp page from database.
    For this I have written an servlet with the following code
    response.setContentType("image/gif");
    OutputStream os = response.getOutputStream();
    String amDef = "package.AppModuleName";
    String config = "Configuration Name";
    ApplicationModule am = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule(amDef, config);
    ViewObjectImpl vo =
    (ViewObjectImpl)am.findViewObject("ViewObject"); // get view object (the same as used in the table)
    System.out.println("vo:" + vo);
    vo.executeQuery();
    Row row = vo.first();
    BlobDomain image = (BlobDomain)row.getAttribute("field");
    //System.out.println("image:" + image);
    InputStream is = image.getInputStream();
    // copy blob to output
    byte[] buffer = new byte[10 * 1024];
    int nread;
    while ((nread = is.read(buffer)) != -1)
    os.write(buffer, 0, nread);
    os.close();
    Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(am, false);
    This servlet working perfectly.The image is displayed on the page while running
    the servlet alone.
    My problem is the image is not got displyed on the jsp page
    I tried following code to call the servlet
    <af:objectImage source="ImageServlet"/>
    <img src="ImageServlet" width="140px" height="50px" align="right">
    Where ImageServlet is the url-pattern in the web.xml for the servlet

  • Not displaying image

    Hi,
    I want display images from msaccess DB, that image column is in OLE object in DB. How to display all the images in SSRS.
    Please let me know if any info required.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Naveen.P

    Hi Naveen.P,
    In Reporting Services, an image is a report item that contains a reference to an image that is embedded in the report, stored in a database, stored on the report server, or stored elsewhere on the Web. While if we want to display all images from image column
    in OLE object in Microsoft Access database, we should convert and save them in SQL Server database, then add the data-bound images from SQL Server database to report.
    Reference:
    Saving OLE Object as Image Datatype in SQL
    Add a Data-Bound Image (Report Builder and SSRS)
