PS CS6 OS X - "Place" dialog box disappears when I try to drag a folder into it.

We are moving to CS6 at work currently. In our workflow, we need to move from folder to folder (hundreds of them) often, and I do this quickly by dragging the desired folder into the open/save/place dialogs. Doing this immediately takes me to the folder I need without requiring me to navigate there manually.
In CS6, when I need to replace contents of a smart object (which I need to do proably 30 times every day), I right-click on the smart object's name and select "Replace Contents". A "Place" dialog opens and I can drag the folder of the asset I need into the dialog, but the dialog disappears when I click off of Photoshop to drag the folder. This happens in all screen modes.
What can I do here? It is impractical to keep source folders in the left bar of the Place dialog (there are literally hundreds of folders I use).
CS5 let me drag files from the Finder into the open/save/place dialogs. CS6 apparently does not.

Try this:
1) Open Photoshop CS6
2) Open an existing file by double clicking it or opening with dialog)
3) Select File > Open, and click on the Desktop
The Open dialog does not vanish?
This is Mac only. Never tried it in Windows.

I have a large animation I am making in Edge Animate, and have already used the draggable jquery plugin several times. However yesterday I made a new symbol for a separate animation, and then added elements and turned them into symbols, and added the following code to the symbol timeline on creationComplete:

I have tried it with several different symbols, but each time I check it in a browser, I click on the symbol to drag and it disappears instead. I can't understand what I'm doing wrong, as that is all the code in the timeline actions, and I'm sure there's no code on the symbols I want to drag. I have also copied and pasted the code from draggable symbols that work, and changed the name, as they have slightly more code on for when you start dragging the symbol.

There are several draggable symbols and two droppable symbols, each draggable symbol can be put into one droppable symbol, and I want the draggable symbol to go back to it's original position if it is dragged anywhere but the correct droppable symbol. I have used revert: 'invalid' for this, but all of the draggable symbols spring back to their original position, but a bit lower down, even when dropped onto the correct droppable symbol, except "carrots-s", which isn't affected by revert: 'invalid'. Any idea what's happening?

A couple things can cause this.
Right click on the red x to find out the name of the png file. Search the web server for that png and make sure that the asp worker has access to it.
The other is a image handler issue. Search the kbase for Red X NET 2005 and you will find a kbase or two that addresses this.

I am porting a CS5 plug in to CS6.
My plugin contains 1 main form and some alert dialogs which are independent to the main
(e.g. a "Help" dialog box shows when users click at AI > Help > [My Plug-in Help] button).
The main form which uses Flash UI is done.
But the "Help" dialog has a problem.
I want to use CS6 SDK to show a dialog with my specified icon, not the warning icon as default.
# I tried the alerts in AIUserSuite but none of them is appropriated.
Does CS6 SDK provide a dialog box whose icon can be adjusted?

I cannot edit manifest.xml by Flash Builder (it just does not allow me to type there)
so I used Notepad++ to add HelpScreen extension as you mentioned.
and don't include a Menu setting.
I don't how to do this so I skipped it for temporary.
Then, I rebuilt the project by Flash Builder.

Safari and chrome, text box disappears when scrolling (created in adobe muse)

I have noticed with creating three different sites, that when you scroll, sometimes the text boxes disappear, when you scroll back up, the box reappears.
I have changed the font to a websafe font, so that it isnt rasterised as a picture..
If anyone has experienced similar or the same I would be so interested to hear from you.

I want to access the options in the context menu when clicking on a dropdown list in the bookmarks toolbar, but the context menu disappears when I try to click on one of the options. How can I keep the menu from disappearing?

I have several dropdown lists in my bookmarks toolbar and would like to access the properties for some of the the items. This used to work fine. However, now, when I go to the list and place the cursor on a particular item, the context menu that is usually available on a right click disappears when I try to access one of the options. This is the menu that begins with Open. What can I do to regain this functionality? I really need the information in the Properties section. I'm using Firefox 3.6.8

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
See [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]] and [[Troubleshooting plugins]]
If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
Also check the Mouse driver settings in the Control Panel.

I don't know enough to not follow directions. I bought the software brand new in a sealed from factory box. Had it sitting around until - last week when I deleted flash on my computer and had to upgrade to the new OSX. Mountain Lion doesn't use iPhoto - so I had to go with something else. Since I already had this new - unopened package I opened it up. Shut down all running programs - inserted the disk and followed all the directions for installation. Still it didn't work.
I have now uninstalled it (the proper way) and am going to try again.

Your CS6 must have been purchased as an upgrade. What it is asking you to select/provide is the name/serial number of the previous version you purchased that qualifies you to install and activate the CS6 upgrade version... this would be likely be one of CS3 thru CS5.5.

Current Firefox versions have enabled a built-in PDF Viewer that doesn't have all features that other PDF readers like the Adobe Reader have or may not function properly otherwise.
You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) from Preview in Firefox to use another application like the Adobe Reader or set to Always Ask in "Firefox > Options/Preferences > Applications".
You can set the pdfjs.disabled pref to true on the <b>about:config</b> page to disable the build-in PDF viewer.
You can check the value of the plugin.disable_full_page_plugin_for_types pref on the about:config page and remove the application/pdf part if present or reset the pref to the default via the right-click context menu if you want to display PDF documents in Firefox with another application (i.e. not the built-in PDF Viewer).

Add or Edit Text Dialog Box Disappeared

I am attempting to add text to my pdf using the add or edit text tool in Acrobat Pro X. However, the dialog box that allows me to change fonts, size, color, etc. has disappeared. Does anyone know how to make the dialog box come back?

This is a new problem. It started about 2 days before I posted the question. I have not updated my Acrobat recently and I was previously able to use the dialog box with no problem. I have tried in several different documents and the dialog box is not showing up.

In Illustrator, Dreamweaver and After Effects, I will get the spinning wheel for a moment and then nothing happens. In Photoshop, I will get the wheel for awhile before a message pops up saying "Could not complete your request because of a program error." This happens whether I use the key command or go through the File drop down menu.
If I try to exit out of the file, I will be prompted to save or don't save, but if I click save, it will just close the window and not actually save the file.
However, I have no issues saving in Indesign or Flash. The print dialog box will also appear in the trouble programs. I also have CS5 on my computer (only ai, indd, and ps) and I can save in these programs without issue.
I am operating on a MacBook Pro version 10.7.5, 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7, 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3.

Flash CS6 no Fireworks import dialog box?

In Flash CS6, when I try to import a Fireworks PNG I never see a dialog box asking whether I want to import it as a flattened image or as an editable Fireworks PNG file. It simply imports the PNG as a flattened image. It doesn't seem to work as it did in previous versions where you had a choice.
The help docs seemed to indicate you can still choose between flattened or editable. Am I doing something wrong?

Couldn't go back to CS5. I spent a few hours on the phone with adobe support and they refused to let me install an old version I have a license for.
The tech guy was nice, but this still doesn't fix the inability to copy over multiple objects (Including editable text) from Fireworks to Flash.
He got me through copying objects with transparency, but I really don't want to have to call tech support or scour the internet every time I need a workaround to something that used to work in your software and now doesn't.
I know Fireworks isn't the priority over there at Adobe, but there are some people who need it to work properly, guys :/.
