PS Scheduling doubt

Hi,
I have given backward scheduling for WBS and Network in configuration. When i created a set of activities for a WBS and gave duration and relationship b/n activities and when i saw in CJ2B all the activities are showing in critical path i am not knowing why all the activities are showing in critical path. There is no over lapping of dates also. Please any one can guide me why this is happening.

For scheduling parameters check following
What is the Start and finish date of WBS .
What is the Start and finish date in Network .
Whether the project is re-scheduled or go to project planning board and see the scheduling parameters i.e. top to bottom approach or bottom to top approach or free scheduling.
check shift order tick is there then if activity is partially confirmed it will not be rescheduled
check calander and both durations and work center is mentioned in internal activity

(1) If there is a job scheduled to run for every 15 minutes (10gr2) and the time for the job tobe complete is 15 minutes only than for whatever reasons, the job takes more than that?Will the second job which is scheduled to run in the next 15 minutes will start even when the before is not yet finished clashing with the previous or it will not start?
(2)Can we run threads of a job on a grouped data?I mean the requirement which one code is fulfillig is that there are alot of objects.Instead of calculating stats on all at one go,it is dividng them into small groups and running the command dbms_stats on individual groups by making threads using programming.Is there any way that with a single job invoked, multiple threads of thatjob can be started on these number of groups doing the same thing?

on these number of groups doing the same thing?You may do that, but must be careful because can take IO levels to the roof, I mean don't recomended for production hours and there is a point of diminishing returns, that is there is an optimal number of threads running, past that point even the stats generation performance will suffer.

Doubt in Scheduling of performance based preventive maintenance

Dear Experts ,
This is with respect to scheduling of performance based preventive maintenance.
I will put my doubt in example so that it will be easy for you to understand.
I want to perform a preventive maintenance for every 100 litres of fuel consumption.
annual estimate is 7200 litres , that means 5 litres a day.
so as per plan , for every day 5 days , maintenance needs to be performed.
same will be appear after scheduling in ip10 also.
While updating in the measuring document , I know that , if 100 litres is updated before due date , then order will be generated in the current date itself.
I just want to know how system responds , if 100 litres consumption takes more than 5 days , will the system generates order as per schedule date or will it wait to complete for 100 litres consumption ??

That depends on:
1) The frequency that you input Measurement Documents in
2) Your Call Horizon on the Maintenance Plans
3) Your Scheduling Period in your IP30 Deadline Monitoring variant
Generally, SAP will adjust the schedule based on the Measurement Documents entered for the counter (1) to account for readings (usage) which are higher or lower than estimated.However, it will NOT reschedule any Orders already called. So to make sure the dates are usually adjusted to your usage, you want frequently input MDs, a high Call Horizon and a short Scheduling Period.
SAP will determine a scheduled due date for the Order based on the Annual Estimate and the readings. So, if the due date is in 5 days and you are on a call horizon of 100% and a Scheduling period of 3 days, for example:
a) if you do not input Measurement Documents from Day 0 onwards, the Order will be generated due for Day 5 when you run the IP30 on Day 2
b) if you input a Measuring Document on Day 1 indicating that less than estimated or no fuel was used, the due date and call date may be pushed into the future and the Order will be generated after Day 2.
c) if you input the MD after Day 2, this Order will already have been called and will not be rescheduled, but subsequent calls might.

Doubts in job-schedulling?

i m having few doubts in dbms_scheduler
1.)how to findout the whether the particular job is running(i.e)current status of the scheduled job.
2.)i scheduled one job procedure which normally runs at every nite 11 o clk.now they wants to change it to 12 o clk .
how to do this?drop that procedure and create a new name with new time or updates the timings of the existing procedure.
3.)How to set the timings for execute at daily 12 o clock coz y'day when i tried hour=00.00 it said that it would be between 1to 12.
then i thought set 12 but in that time we have to change the date also?
then suddenly again i hesitated whether it will works for night 12 or afternoon 12.
pls give suggestions.

Doubts in Delivery scheduling

Hi all,
I am unable to understand the delivery scheduling concept.
For ex I am creating a sales order for the material xxx today.Requested delivery date is todays date.there is no stock available for the material xxx today. But there is a purchase order in which the delivery date is 30th dec.
So obviously the system checks the avaialbility and asks whether the delivery(schedule line date) can be confimed on 30th dec.When I click continue the material avai date in the sales order is changed to 30th dec.
At the same time loading date, trans plann date, goods issue date and the schedule line date is changed to 30th dec.But I dont want this
I want the loading date to be 1st Jan.Trans planning date on 2st jan, goods issue date is 4rd jan.and the delivery(schedule line date) to be on 6 th jan.How to perform this.
I have given determine load time and pick pack time as C and have given 1 day for loading and pick/pack.
But the loading date is not changed to 1 st Jan.
Please correct me where I am wrong.What setting I have to do to perform the above

First you have to maitain the working hours of your plant/shipping point :
how many hours per day? from whent to when
How many days per week? which days.
Customizing : Logistics execution>>Shipping>>Basics function>>Scheduling>>delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling>> Maintain working hours.
Then, you define for the shipping point the loading time and the pick/pack time "Duration"
you have mention how many hours/minutes requested by each operation. "hhhhhh:mm"
example : if you are working in your plant 8 hours/day. and the pick/pack take 3 days. so you mention in the duration Pick/pack w-hours 24:00.
to set these go to
Customizing : Logistics execution>>Shipping>>Basics function>>Scheduling>>delivery scheduling and transportation scheduling>>Define Scheduling By Shipping Point.
In the fields :
Determine load. time ---> set the indicator C
Loading time - w.hrs---> hhhhhh:mm for example 9 days equivalent to 72:00 if you work 8 hours per day
Det.pick/pack time---> set indicator C
Pick/pack time-wk hrs----> hhhhhh:mm
ps : I have tested thes information before posting.

Doubt regarding scheduling of reports

Hi All,
I have a Discoverer Report, which has 7 different worksheets. Each worksheet takes approximately 5-6 hours to complete, so I scheduled this report.
Now the ques is if I have scheduled to run this report, all the worksheets will run parallely at the scheduled time or they will be run one by one.
When will the output be available to me ?

'if I have scheduled to run this report, all the worksheets will run parallely at the scheduled time or they will be run one by one'According to my personal experience and what i know.I can say is when you schedule it will ask you, do you want to schedule one sheet or multiple sheets.
For example:-As said you have 7 worksheets(sheets) in a workbook then you have to mention all the 7 worksheets names in the schedule and select the time,date and repeated schedule or not. The path is
File/Manage Workbooks/Scheduling
The limit on the number of scheduled workbooks restricts the number of scheduled workbooks that can be maintained at any one time. As the Discoverer manager, you specify this limit on the "Privileges dialog: Privileges tab". If the user exceeds their limit, Discoverer Plus displays a message and the workbook is not scheduled.
The job_queue_processes value controls the maximum number of jobs that can be run at any one time on the server.

Doubt in Job Scheduling

Hello Guys,
I have Schedule one of my ALV Report for auto mail . In Report there are 30 Column. But when the mail is gone to users through SM37 Scheduling only 12 column are visiible.
When I am running the report in prod server it show all column and when I send mail from prod server , then also all column are visible. Only and only the mail coming from my Background Job showing only 12 column. I have not save any layout for the same.
Can some one tell me what the issue.

Doubt Regarding Creating Work Schedules

Hello People,
I have recently started taking SAP HR training and currently in Time mgt module...I am stuck up in the creation of work schedules.
I have created a scenario /requirement where i have got 3 shifts in a day and i want my production people to work 24/7 in the factory as i dont want the manufacturing machine to be idle.I have created 3 shifts namely
Shift 1- 7 am - 3 pm
Shift 2- 3 pm - 11 pm
Shift 3- 11 pm - 7 am next day
I dont want the machine to be idle on any day ,so i want people to keep on continously working on the machine.Each shift has got 2 breaks.There are 3 batches of people(say 30) who are in the prod dept.
Batch 1 will work from Mon - Sat(sun day off)
Batch 2 will work from Tue - Sun (Mon day off)
Batch 3 will work from Wed - Mon(Tue day off)
Remember all the 3 batches will have one day off.i have not gone more further in time mgt(so wont be aware of shift planning ,dynamic work schedules) so will it be possible to create thework schedules for the above requirement.
Please advise me how to create DWS,Period Work Schedules and how many should i create.If anybody can clear the basic concept of creating /how to create the work schedules .
Help/Guidance would be highly appreciated.

As Ravi said, I'd like to explain in more detail:
3 DWS needed as follows:
Shift 1: 7 am - 3 pm
Shift 2: 3 pm - 11 pm
Shift 3: 11 pm - 7 am next day
Also create a DWS for the OFF day.
Then apply these DWS' in PWS as:
001- Shift A Shift A   ShiftA   Shift A   Shift A   Shift A    OFF
002-   OFF    Shift B    Shift B ShiftB    Shift B    Shift B   Shift B
003- Shift C    OFF      ShiftC   Shift C   Shift C    Shift C   Shift C
While creating Work schedule Rules, we need to assign the 'Start point in PWS' field as 001 keeping 'Ref. date' field as any day which comes as Monday
Use this Period work schedule in creating your Work schedule rule and generate the WSRs.

Doubt regarding Schedule agreement

1. I heard once we prepare a Schedule agreement(say mat1 of 1000 quanity),then it is supplied over a period of time.But where do we specify that i want the mat in scheduling agreement to be supplied on jan1st 200 qty and feb1st 500 qty.
2. Suppose in the scheduling agreement, mat1 net price is 20 and agreement id for 2 years and after 1 year market prices rise very high and the mat1 net price is 40.Then how do we handle this kind of situation.

After creation of Schedule agreement for the delivery maintain the delievy schedule in ME38 for the required qty & Delivery date
for the price part in the scheduling agreement it is agreed price for the period of validity date in Scheduling agreement

Schedule propagation doubt

Hi,
My propagation is not working. What am I doing wrong?
I have two users in the same database and they have separate queues for them. They are able to dequeue and enqueue with their respecive queues.
But I want user2 to dequeue message from his own queue( which is que2) which user1 enqueue in his queue(which is que1).
I have scheduled propagation like this

when I check the user1 quetable there are the enqueued messages but in user2 queuetable there are no messages at all.
What am I doing wrong?

One thing I don't understand is why do I have to create a dblink just to get this to work. If I change the Schedule_prop call to set the DESTINATION_QUEUE to MSG_QUEUEX and change the ENQUEUE_MSG call to pass MSG_QUEUEX as the second arg it doesn't work.
So obviously this is without a subscriber but with an addressed message.
Ok, so the docs for the schd_prop command says "destination_queue == Name of the target queue to which messages are to be propagated in the form of a dblink" so i suppose the silly loopback dblink is unavoidable
But my alterations to the working cod break it. In summary, I set up the destination queue as a subscriber and enqueue the message without a recipient list

Doubt on background job scheduling

I have one background job scheduled where vf03 tcode is executed.
I want to know what are the documents updated through this backgroung job schedule.
Can i know thru SM37 what r the documents updated in the table by running this background job?

Take the PROGRAMNAME from the table TBTCP related to Background job and
from the program logic it will be known that what tables are get updated.
generally when we are using VF01/02 tcodes the tables like VBRK and VBRP are get updated.

If your ECC6 is on SP12 and above, use t-code : DBACOCKPIT or DB13OLD

Scheduling BAPi

Hi guys,
While scheduling a BAPI(ZBAPI_WS_REPORT ),am gettin an error msg says Program ZBAPI_WS_REPORT is invalid or does not exist,even though it exists in the target client.What could be the problem?Please help me out in this regard asap.Its very urgent.

You need to call that BAPI into your report and then you have schedule that report.

Problem with KM Scheduler par file

I created a KM Scheduler project and uploaded the par file. It was making use of few jar files.
I have just uplaoded the par file and still not set the scheduler time. When I see the default trace logs, I am able to see that
the below info is getting printed repeatedly..say within an interval of half an hour.

My guess is that in the above line it is just picking up the jar files. But I want to know why it is trying repeatedly to pick up the jar files??

Thanks for your help.
But I did not rename the par from "5_MailServiceScheduler" to "MailServiceScheduler, I am confused now.
And I completely agree on your statement that portal has to be restarted as KM does not support hot deployment. BUt my doubt is even before the KM went down, the message got printed in the log file several times..Why this strange behaviour??
Also, could you please let me know how to reference the jar files via portalapp.xml.
