PS7.1 Deploy Portlet Error

Hi all,
I've just installed SJES 5 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 4 (Nahant Update 2)
when I try to deploy a portlet I've this error message:
Error deploying file /var/opt/sun/portal/portals/portal1/war/S2BSupportoLogico.war to instance portal-80 on host portal.diagsece.it. In case of web server, please make sure that admin server is up. Check admin logs for more details.
this is the log file:

any suggestion.
thanks in advance.

Hi,
The problem might be that the webserver has gone to "deployment pending state". This happens if any configuration change or if jsf portlet has been deployed. Please undeploy the jsf portlet if it is already deployed.
Try the following :
1. Login to webserver admin https://m/c : 8989
2. click on Edit configuration
3. There might be "deployment pending" or "instance modified" link on the top right hand side of the page
4. click this and follow all default steps.
After this, undeploy the portlet(psadmin undeploy portlet) again and deploy it again (psadmin deploy portlet....)

  • "Servlet pluto is not available" error page after deploying portlet

I want to build a JSF portlet with JSC 2.1. I am playing with the tool a little bit and I am experiencing this error after running the project:
HTTP Status 404 - Servlet pluto is not available
    type Status report
message Servlet pluto is not available
description The requested resource (Servlet pluto is not available) is not available.
Sun-Java-System/Application-ServerIt's strange because it happened when I changed something in the code of the SessionBean1.java. Since then, I can't even run properly a blank JSF portlet project that I created afterwards.
I created a new project, added nothing and pressed Run Project. It seems, that the deployment was OK:

No, I haven't figured it yet. And it seems that nobody ever had.
JSCreator is buggy. If it weren't for free, I would have never use it. It has so many issues, you will see so many exceptions and experience so many annoyances... And of course, it is very hungry for resources. I am sure that a lot of people will disagree, but that's my opinion. I've been using Eclipse for 4 years now.
However here are some tips (Windows only):
Delete directory .Creator from Documents and Settings.
Uninstall creator, install creator. Don't install it to Program Files, install it to C:\Sun or smth like that, the space character can do some mess.
Again, put your project somewhere, so the path would not contain spaces.
Sometimes just restarting the server helps. I've had to reinstall Creator three times yet.

  • What are the requirements to deploy Portlets from Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2

    Hi all,
I'm new in version Jdeveloper 10.1.3.2
plz which version of Application Server (infrastructure and middle-tier)
or web-center are required to deploy portlet from jdeveloper 10.1.3.2
can you send me links about these requirments
    thanks

I had already applied all of this before trying to deploy.
The error seems to be a versioning error in the jsf-impl.jar file as the ApplicationAssociate class is found there. I have changed the JDK and J2EE to 1.4.2 and 1.3 respectively, rebuilt everything, updated all the settings to the right versions for 10.1.2 but it still keeps failing on the deploy.

  • Problem when deploy portlet application

    Hi,
I am trying to deploy my portlet app to the integrated WLS. I installed the Webcentre framework extensions by using the update utility of JDeveloper.
At first when I deploy my app on the server everything is fine.
Then, I add a library tag in weblogic-application.xml file of the application then deploy it again. I have this error:
    Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.adf.view.rich.component.rich.RichForm
         at weblogic.utils.classloaders.GenericClassLoader.findLocalClass(GenericClassLoader.java:296)

         at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:320)
         ... 92 more
Which is exactly the same error when I deployed the portlet into the server without installing the Webcentre framework extension previously.
Did I miss out anything? Do I need to install the whole Webcentre suite. I am using Jdev 11.
From the document Testing and Deploying portlet:
    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E15523_01/webcenter.1111/e10148/jpsdg_deploy_portlets.htm
I understand that I don't need to config or install anything as IWLS is preconfiged and provide testing capability for portlet, am I right?
    Please help me.

You can download a script from OTN to create a managed server to host your portlets or your custom webcenter apps.
Please, use this script to create your managed servers.
    Cheers

Where can I find the psadmin commandline utility?
I installed JES 2005Q4 on windows XP.

psadmin is part if PS7 and JES2005Q4 on windows has PS 6.3 so for deploying portlets pdeploy can be used and it is in <JES_InstallDir>/PortalServer/bin
    pdeploy deploy -u <amadmin> -w <adminuser> -p <adminuser> -g <war file name with full path>
the war file has to be given with its full location

As part of configuring OIM Connectors tried to Import .xml file using Import option from Deployment Management section as below and the following error was displayed.

Did all workarounds like enabling java, changing browsers, restarting machine etc as per the below discussion but in vain.

Can any one suggest any workaround or solution for this problem.
Or atleast can any one confirm there is no Identity manager available on this date which is compatible with 10.3.1? and cannot be continued further.

You are facing this issue because you're using a non certified combination.
Other folks who tried to use OIM in 10.3.1 ended up in the same problem you're facing.

  • I/o server shared variable not working in deployment system ( error no-1950679034 (0x8BBB0006) (Warning))

    Hello ,
am using shared variable from opc client in labview when am run a exe file at development system its working fine but when am running it in deployment system its not working am using same configuration file in opc server at development and deployment system error -1950679034 (0x8BBB0006) (Warning)

First Root cause needs to be identified before any actions.
I would suggest first check if you can access the shared variable hosted in PC from RT using other ways like using SVE API (Logos and PS protocols, Datasocket etc..)
Check if antivirus or firewall is playing...
Check the same experiment with some other PC if you can.
You can also try creating another Shared Variable in RT and binding the same to the PC and try to access it...
Since you have did all the reinstallations already
    Best Regards,
    Vijay.

    ramji,
I think the following kb How Do I Deploy Network Shared Variables From a Compiled Executable? may provide some help. When building your executable, make sure you include your lvlib that contains yoru shared variable in the "support files" section of the application builder. Also, try including your lvlib in the data directory instead of the actually exe itself. Let us know. thanks!

  • Portlet Errors at Initial Login

We are receiving random portlet errors upon initial login. It simply says "Error" in the portlet title heading and the portlet contents are not displayed.
Refreshing the web page corrects the problem, but you'd think that a fresh login wouldn't mean it was a caching problem, right? This is happening to all users from different workstations, and different portlets are affected at different times - but always at initial login....
    Any ideas? Thanks!

    Hi Katie,
Are there any timeout logs in your provider log files? My guess is that the error is due to timeouts. You could try increasing the provider timeouts to a sizeable amount :)
    thanks,

  • Full list of deployed portlets - how I  can get it?

I need to get the full list of deployed portlets by me. I work with PS 2005Q4 for Windows. How I can get it.
    Thanks!

One thing you could try, if you are using Sun Webserver as the Web Container and
installed it in the default path:
    /opt/SUNWwbsvr/bin/https/bin/wdeploy list -i <portalserverhostname> -v https-<portalserverhostname>
will list all deployed web applications, which include your portlets.

  • How to find the WSDL URL for my deployed portlet

    Hello,
I do not find the WSDL URL for my deployed portlet. I deployed a Portlet correctly with JDeveloper to a remote Oracle AS.
    In the tutorial they write:
"Now use the URL provided in the log page at the bottom of JDeveloper to get part of your URL (e.g. http://myserver.uk.oracle.com:8888/my-portlet) and complete the URL.
    http://myserver.uk.oracle.com:8888/my-portlet/portlets?WSDL
Now use this URL to register your portlet with OracleAS Portal."
But in the log there is nothing like this! The log ends like this:
    "DCM command completed successfully.
    Output:
Exit status of DCM servlet client: 0
Elapsed time for deployment: 13 seconds
    ---- Deployment finished. ---- 11-Mar-2006 12:26:58"
Can anyone tell me where to finde the WSDL Url?
    Thank you.

OK I think that I found a quick workaround for this issue. Creating a redirection URL using the parameter icm/HTTP/redirect_<xx> works for me.
    Parameter:
icm/HTTP/redirect_0    (Value '0' may differ for your system)
    Value:
    PREFIX=/ws1, TO=/sap/bc/srt/wsdl/srvc_08002720027F1EE3AEAAFED3B5688C63/wsdl11/allinone/ws_policy/document?sap-client=001
Now the WSDL URL can be reached at
    http://was730.dvlopr.com:8000/ws1
    Tested!
    Best regards

  • Library resource is in the missing state and cannot be deployed. (Error ID: 23004)

    Hi experts,
I have SCVMM version 2012 Service pack 1 installed in my Windows Server 2012. It is managing 3 Hyper-V hosts.
I have custom Linux VM running. I have created Linux VM templates and stored them in VMM Library.
When I try to create a new VM using the VM Template, I am getting the below error
Library resource my-linux.iso is in the missing state and cannot be deployed. (Error ID: 23004)
Could you please help in resolving this error?
I tried with Powershell New-SCVirtualMachine command, but getting the same error.
    Thanks in advance,
    Saleem

VM Templates cannot have attached ISOs (SCVMM cannot deploy a new VM from template with an ISO attached)
Was an ISO attached to the VM when you created the template?
If so edit the properties of the VM template and remove it.
