PSE 9, Editor: Bild "Speichern unter" im Versionssatz vom Organizer mit Suffix "bearbeitet-1"

Wenn man im Editor ein Bild abspeichert und die Schalter für
"im Elements Organizer aufnehmen" und
"mit Original im Versionssatz speichern" angehakt hat,
so wird als Standard-Bildname der > alte Name + "_bearbeitet-1.jpg" < drangehängt. So weit so gut,
aber leider kann man dieses etwas längliche Wort "_bearbeitet-1" nirgendwo durch ein freigewähltes, ZB kürzeres Suffix ersetzen,
zB "_bea-1", was m.E. vollkommen als Unterscheidungsmerkmal ausreicht.
Da die Software-Oberfläche es nicht hergibt, habe ich schon in der Registry von Windows danach gesucht, ohne Erfolg.
Ebenso habe ich die Programm-files durchsucht, da gibt es eine Menge Text-Meldungen für die Oberfläche, jedoch habe ich das gesuchte Wort nicht gefunden.
Andererseits müßte es M.E. dort vergraben sein, denn irgendwo wird ja die Deutsche Übersetzung als Sprachanpassung (austauschbar mit anderen Sprachen) vorliegen.
Hat jemand eine Idee?

Photoshop Album 3.0 Bilder speichern

Hallo zusammen, wer bitte kann mir helfen:?? Ich finde nirgendswo die Information, in welcher Datei Photoshop Album die Fotos abspeichert, da es auch keine "Speichern unter.." Option gibt. Ich möchte das jeweils bearbeitete Album irgendwo sichern (andere Festplatte, USB Stick etc.) und immer wieder reinladen können, wenn's mal gecrasht hat, wäre ja sonst alles weg!!

Im Prinzip ja. Es gibt auch eine kostenfreie Version: "Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.0". Das ist aber eine reine Album oder auch Organizer Version mit eingeschränkten Funktionen. Ob da das Brennen etc möglich ist weiß ich nicht; vermutlich nicht.
Das "Album" ist keine Version. PSE 3.0 und 4.0 besteht imPrinzip aus zwei Teilen oder auch Prgrammen. Dem Album, in der PSE Terminologie auch "Organizer" genannt, sowie dem Editor, also demjenigen Programm was dann die eigentliche Bildbearbeitung vornimmt. Beide Programme sind durchaus auch separat zu starten. Sie gehen allerdings sehr eng Hand in Hand sozusagen. Man sucht und betrachtet die Fotos im Organizer um sie dann ggf. an den Editor zu übergeben, der dann die mehr oder weniger gewünschten Änderungen vornimmt, und anschließend diese Änderungen als eine neue, zusätzliche Datei als sog. "Versionssatz" dann wieder im Organzer, also dem Album, abspeichert; im großen und ganzen. Anders formuliert: "Bildbetrachter" und "Bildbearbeitungsprogramm" sind hier zwar absolut getrennt voneinander, aber dennoch sehr eng miteinander verbunden. Die Übergaben von dem einen zum anderen Programm und auch wieder rückwärts gestalten sich gerade in PSE 4.0 als sehr flüssig. Man muß sich hier allerdings unbedingt mit der für dieses Programm typischen Denkweise vertraut machen, sonst erleidet man Schiffbruch. Z.B. sollte man, wenn es um das Umbenennen oder verschieben von Dateien geht, dies generell nur noch über den Organizer machen. Der Explorer sollte dann Tabu sein, andernfalls kommt Murks heraus!!!

PSE 6 und Diashow speichern

Habe meine Bilder bearbeit und habe begonnen, eine Diashow zu erstellen.
Die Funktion "Diashow Speichern unter" ist leider nicht sehr hilfreich.
Es wird zwar was gespeicht, aber wo weiß ich nicht, es soll eine Datei in einem Fotobrwoser geben, aber wo der sein soll entzieht sich meiner Kenntniss.
Habe auch keine Funktion gefunden, wo ich Z.B "Diashow öffnen" kann.
So würde ich sagen, man kann die Diashow zum nachträglichen bearbeiten speichern, aber nirgends öffnen.
Kann mir bitte jemand den besagten Speicherort mitteilen???

ich bin mir nicht sicher ob wir vom gleichen reden,aber ich probiers mal.
Wenn du in PSE6 eine Diashow erstellst,wird die im Fotobrowser gespeichert. Das ist dieses Dingens in dem auch alle Deine Fotos erscheinen. Es erscheint das erste Bild deiner Diashow mit dem Datum an dem du die Show erstellt hast. Wenn du dann da draufklickst, kannst du die Show weiterbearbeiten.
Ich kanns leider nur so laienhaft erklären,habe gerade meine erste Diashow erstellt u.das hat gut geklappt.

Dragging a bookmark from the search results to the left column of the manage bookmark window without duplicating it would be a nice feature though.
Edit: You can't go to parent folder in the search results. But seeing where it is in the column from the parent folder addon at least helps a bit with organizing.

PSE 6 und Bilder sortieren

Unter Organisieren kann ich die Bilder von der Kamera herunterladen lassen und dabei gleichzeitig umbenennen.
Soweit so gut. Leider finde ich keine Möglichkeit, wie ich die Bilder "sortieren" kann. Mit sortieren meine ich, das ich die Reihenfolge wie bei einem Fotomanager ändern kann.
Gibt es so was bei PSE 6, bzw. kann man sich dafür einn Tool erwerben?

Hallo zusammen,
ich bin neu im Forum, habe jedoch seit ca. 1 Jahr Photoshop Elements. Nachdem es zuerst 5.0 war, wurde ich vor ein paar Tagen durch Vista auf meinem neuen Rechner gezwungen auf PSE 6.0 umzusteigen.
Jetzt zu meiner eigentlichen Frage:
In PSE 5.0 wurden Bilder in einer Sammlung sortiert und die Dateien wie folgt umbenannt. Hat man eine 2stellige Anzahl Bilder markiert, wurden die ersten Bilder mit der Endung 01,02, usw. versehen. Wenn man 3stellige Mengen umbenannt hat, lauteten die Endungen 001,002, usw.
PSE hat die Bilder anschließend im Organizer in der richtigen Reihenfolge angezeigt.
Im PSE 6.0 sortiert man Bilder im Album. Bilder umbenennt erhält man folgendes Endungen: 1,2,3,...10,11, usw.
Das hat zur Folge, dass der Organizer die Reihenfolge nicht erkennt, sondern so sortiert: 1, 10,11,...2,21,22,
Das ist natürlich vollkommen indiskutabel. PSE 6.0 erkennt an dieser Stelle seine eigene Numerierung nicht. 5.0 konnte das noch.
Ist jemandem dieses Phänomen schon aufgefallen und kennt vielleicht eine Lösung?
Ich selber kenne nur folgenden Umweg:
Nach dem Sortieren im Album geht man über Datei/Exportieren und vergibt in einem neuen Ordner einen neuen Stammnamen. Die neuen Dateien erhalten wie gewollt Endungen mit führenden Nullen z.B. -0001. Aber das ist sehr umständlich, weil man immer die alten Bilder aus dem Katalog löschen und die neuen importieren muss.

Jpeg in "speichern unter" nicht verfügbar

Nach einer Neuinstallation meines Rechners (XP SP2) und PS CS steht bei "speichern unter" die Auswahl "JPG" (und andere) nicht zur Verfügung, wenn das Bildformat TIFF ist. Wird ein JPEG-Bild geöffnet, stehen unter dem "speichern unter" Dialog wesentlich mehr Formate zur Verfügung.
Kann mir da jemand einen hilfreichen Tip geben ?

ist der Farbmodus 16 bit RGB?
auf 8 bit ändern, dann müßte der JPG bei speichern unter möglich sein.

Using PSE 11, editor doesn't open up at all. However, the organizer opens up properly. please help

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Editor and see if you can launch the program directly from the desktop.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Editor application:
C: >> Program Files (x86) >> Adobe >> Photoshop Elements 11
Within the Photoshop Elements 11 folder find PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe (the application not the Adobe shortcut)
Select that file and click Next.
Then click Finish.
You should now be able to launch by right-clicking on the new desktop icon, bypassing the welcome screen. Try choosing “Run As Administrator” That often improves stability.

Why does Raw image open in PSE 11 Editor as jpeg instead of as RAW image?

For several years I have been managing my photos in iphoto and using PSE as an external editor for editing images. I currently use PSE 11 on an iMac with OS X Lion (version 10.7.5). My iPhoto Library is divided into a number of sub-libraries via iPhoto Library Manager. I have unexpectedly encountered a problem attempting to edit a RAW image (in this case a .NEF image from a Nikon D200) in a sub-library containing images shot in 2007. When I right click on the image and select Edit in External Editor the image opens in PSE 11 Editor, but it opens as a jpeg and not as an .NEF image. This is in spite of the fact that in iPhoto/Preferences/Advanced/RAW Photos I have checked "Use RAW when using external editor."
As an alternative approach I tried dragging and dropping the RAW image into the PSE 11 Editor icon in the Dock, but I got the same result.
I can't recall having this problem previously and would appreciate knowing what might be the source of the problem along with a suggested fix.

I took a clue from both of your responses. I exported a copy of the original RAW file to my desktop. Then I went to PSE Editor and clicked File/Open and selected the RAW file on the desktop. This automatically changed the Format setting to Camera Raw. I then clicked Open and lo and behold my RAW file opens in Camera Raw!
I’m now where I want to be to edit this image in Camera RAW, but I never before had to go around the horn like this to get there! This is very similar to the procedure I follow when I edit jpegs in Camera Raw.
I’m happy to report that this workaround did the job, but I have no idea why it was necessary in this instance. Hopefully this issue will be confined to this one particular iPhoto sub-library!

PSE 12 EDITOR CRASHES

The PSE editor keeps crashing. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Concerning the PSE-12 Editor, I find that this crashes after editing 10 to 20 JPEGs of ~20 Mpixels (not tried raw files yet). I have used at least three earlier versions of the editor on the same machine and in the same circumstances and none of them ever crashed (unlike the Organizer).
The crash either leaves a trace in the Event Log, just blocks, so one needs to kill the process with the Task Manager, or says that it has a lack of memory. These are the symptoms of a classic memory leak.
After getting advice from Adobe, I switch off all start-up processes with MSCONFIG, but the Editor still crashed (after 25 files this time).
Does anyone else have this problem? I would be very surprised if I am the only one...

PSE 8 editor not responding

After I edit a photo with PSE 8 Editor and try and save the edit, Editor goes white (not reponding) for several seconds then finally completes the edit. What is causing this delay?

In PSE editor under Edit->Preferences: check Performance settings:
*taking the cursor/mouse on each option words will display the description of that option:
Modify the default settings as per your needs:
1) Set the total % PSE can use of available RAM.
2) reduce the number of history states (Undo states)
3) Under scratch disks area in case you have more than 1 drive do check so it can use memory
from more than 1 drives of your machine.
After making this changes close PSE and launch again.
I am sure performance should improve. Let me know if you have any comments.

Text size in PSE 7 Editor menues / toolbars

Hello, with my new 16.4" Laptop and 1920 x 1080 resolution I have problems in properly reading the text in PSE 7 editor menues and toolbars - they are so tiny.
Increasing Windows font size (DPI) in the Control Panel only works with "Windows-related" programmes (e. g. Windows Explorer) but it does not affect the text size in the PSE menues (it does make the 'welcome screen' which invites you to choose between Editor, Organizer etc, bigger, though, and also the drop-down menues that appear after you click on a menue item). Decreasing the resolution is not a solution, as it makes the whole display blurred...
Is there a solution at all? I'm using Windows 7, if that's relevant...

hi , well to increase the font size ,just go to properties and then on settings.
From there you can go to screen resolution and increase or decrease as per your wish.It worked on my system ,so try it out.

PSE 7 Editor Crashes

I am using PSE7 on Windows 7 Pro. Have used this in the apst no porblem. The editor now crashes each time I try to bring it up. I have already renamed the TWAIN file with a ~ in fromt of the name and I have used the ctl+shift+alt to reset the editor settings file. All of these have not yeilded any results. The only software upgrade performed since loading PSE 7 has been to uninstall Adobe Acrobat Reader and install the latest Adobe Acrobat Reader Software.

PSE 8 Editor does not open

PSE 8 editor has stopped opening. I've tried opening it from the organizer and from the welcome page. The loading-the-editor box pops up like it's going to open, but then the loading box goes away with no editor opening. I tried un-installing and reinstalling the program to no avail. The computer has Windows 7, 64-bit. Any help would be greatly appreciated... the PSE organizer portion is pretty worthless without the editor!

It sounds like you could be experiencing a conflict with a scanner driver.
Go back the Program Files (x86) >>Plug-ins>>Import/Export and delete the TWAIN driver.
Elements will work without it, but if you have scanner and want to scan directly PSE you'll need to install an up to date driver from the manufacturer's web site.
If you don’t use a scanner there’s nothing to worry about.
If that doesn’t work you may need to re-build the preferences.
You do that by holding down Ctrl+Alt+Shift whilst simultaneously clicking Edit on the welcome screen.
When you see a pop-up behind the welcome screen click yes, to delete settings.
Then re-start Elements and it will re-build the preferences.

PSE 11 Editor won't open

Just received a new PC w/ PSE 11 pre-installed. OS is Windows 8.
Was editing a photo in LR 4 and wanted to go into PSE 11 Editor to do more editing. When I tried to open PSE editor, Adobe required product registration, which I did. LR created a duplicate TIFF file and everything, and the window popped up asking if I wanted to Edit a Copy with Lightroom Adjustments, etc., and then PSE 11 Editor opened up fine the very first time. (However it didn't seem like some of the tools were working properly, but that's another question for another time.)
Subsequent attempts to open the PSE Editor either from Elements itself and LR4 have failed. Editor will not open. Why is this happening with a brand new product?

Try these solutions to see if any of these work.
If none of them works, let me know.

Close Elements. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file. Click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.

In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution3:
In case that does not work too, you may try this.
Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.

PSE 11 Editor Won't Open Due to my "tampering"

Photo Elements 11 Editor won’t open. (I also have PSE 6 and Editor now won’t open in it). I have Windows XP. Editor was working fine until I was trying to get my Viveza 2 plug-in into PSE 11 (I had it in PSE6 and all was fine). I looked all over internet and could not find answer. Went into PSE 11 Editor screen and from one of the tabs I saw a place for plug-ins—you could browse for folder/file of plug-in (or so I thought). I went to Viveza folder inside my NIK folder and clicked it. After that --- Editor no longer loads in PSE 11 or 6. I have tried resetting Preferences—no help. I don’t even know what tab I used in Editor since I cannot open it. Any thoughts? I thought about uninstalling and reinstalling but think nothing will change since PSE6 was affected too. Need to change whatever I did to the file.
