Public settings with selected private members

Is it possible to run Javadoc with the default settings ie. no -private option but in some way select specific private members in a class to be documented. I have a set of classes that I only wish to generate docs for the public attributes & methods, all private methods AND private attributes that have been tagged at the top of the class as /** PRIVATE ATTRIBUTE DESCRIPTION */. I guess not but worth a shot.
Thanks in advance,
Iain

While this is possible, we have decided not to include such
a facility in javadoc. A third party has implemented
the ability to exclude members, but apparently not
the ability to force their inclusion.
http://java.sun.com/j2se/javadoc/faq/index.html#ydoc
The serialized form page is the only page that documents
private members while using the default access (-protected),
so javadoc has the capacity to do what you're asking.
You would need to modify the standard doclet. With the new
doclet toolkit in Tiger (1.5.0), this might be somewhat
easier.

  • Is this type of set-up possible - private and public network with Airport

We have an office network with Airport. We have internet with a cable modem with routers plugged to it. The network is not now shared with anyone outside the business.
But would it be possible to add a public component to our setup that would give others access to the internet but never, never, never allow them to enter/see/ mess with the private side?
    Tim

Sorry to intrude, I came across this thread while I was looking for some other information and thought that there needed to be a point of clearification to identify some major security vulnerabilities.
With the current config, Cable Modem->Wan port of Router A->Router B plugged into LAN port on Router A
    1. Traffic from Router A would see all traffic sent from router B out to the internet, if I was able to sniff the traffic on router A then I would see everything that router B was passing to the internet...not good idea if Router A is public, (traffic would not be encrypted since this is a hard line pass to the cable modem).
    2. Router A will always be able to see the interface of router B (have to have it this way to perform the passing of IP traffic from one router to the other.) This means that router B will be open for brute force login attempts and any other vulnerabilities that the router might carry, again since this is being accessed from a publicly accessible network it would be hard to stop from happening in todays world.
    3. Router B subnet - If you NAT all the IP's behind router A on it's on subnet (which would include Router B). Uunless router B truly has two interfaces (internal and external) you would not be able to use different subnets and expect to pass traffic all the way to the cable modem because it would not know how to get there.
Again, this post is not meant to cause annomosity, it is to help educate.
I personally think that the safer bet is to get a second hi-speed connection, physical seperation in this case is the best way to go, saves you the worry of getting attacked or snooped on, and keeps your private information safe from the public...unless that is something that you are willing to risk sharing.

I have been sharing I-cloud with other family members. How do I change my i-cloud setting on my i-phone so as to creare my own account?

If you want to keep your iCloud data, you would need to migrate your device and a copy of the data to a new account.  To migrate to a new account, start by saving any photo stream photos you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless already there) by opening your my photo stream album, tapping Select, tapping the photos, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow), then tapping Save to Camera Roll.  If you are syncing notes with iCloud, you'll need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself so you can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.  Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; others keeping the account will not be effected by this), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone.  Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create your new account and choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on your own account, you can go to icloud.com and manually delete any data you don't want in your account without effecting anyone else.

  • Public Folders with Contacts vs Address Book

Which is the better approach: public folders with contacts or setting up an address book?
I want to set up some sort of address book to hold details of some of our major clients. Rather than each person maintaining his/her own address list the plan is for everyone to maintain a single list. As soon as we deal with a "new" contact at
one of our clients that person's details go into the central list and we all benefit.
In the past we've used public folders. However, it seems to me that they are quite a hassle with OWA so i was wondering why we don't simply create a new address book with:
New-AddressList -Name "MyCo – Customers" -RecipientFilter "(CustomAttribute1 -eq 'MyCo') -and (ObjectClass -eq 'Group')" -RecipientContainer "ad.ilbs.co/Habitats/myco"
    or should I use New-OfflineAddressBook -Name ...
Our team run a variety of systems (Windows and Mac) and a variety of phones (mostly IOS and Android)
    Roger

    Hi Roger,
According to your description, you want to share the contact which is created by each client users in OWA and Outlook to all other domain users for contact sharing. Is it right?
If that is the case, the Public Folder is an option to achieve this as you mentioned. For address list in server side, only the administrators who have related permission to Exchange server can create an address list in Exchange server generally.
For client users, they can’t create the address list for all other users using, though the contact folder permission is set to reviewer for all other users.
If you are using Public Folder contact (default folder permission set to Author), each user can create contacts in this folder and the contact can be visible for all users. Then the client user can do the following settings in Outlook to
manually add the Public Contact to address book:
    1. In Outlook, open Public Folder.
    2. Right-click Public Contact folder, select Properties.
    3. In Outlook Address Book tab, check Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book.
    4. Click OK to save the setting.
Then the Public Contact folder should be added in the Address Book.

  • Exchanging APDU's with selected applet fails

    Hi all,
    1. I developed a cardlet( normal, sample one) using JCOP
    2. Installed, selected and excanged APDU's with this applet ( on Nokia 6212,6131 and JCOP cards)
    3. Now i tried it on a SE of SIM. In this case, installation and selection succeeds but exchanging APDU's with selected applet is partial. by 'partial' what i mean is:
i am using 0x90 as CLA byte for personalisation (now i am not checking the CLA byte from cardelt code)
    private static final byte STORE=0x01;
private static final byte GET=0x02; , and these are INS values for getting and storing personalisation data.
if i send STORE command like */send 90010000084142434445464748* (8 data bytes ), only first 5 bytes are being transferred to applet (i tested this fact by returning the buffer(apdu.getBuffer()) length from process(APDU apdu) function ), not the actual data. ie, only CLA, INS, P1, P2, and LC fields are being transferred to applet. so, currently the actual personlisation data is not been transferred to selected applet.
Is there any specific data format that has to be send to a selected applet ?
    or
In which point i am going wrong ?

  • Are private members inherit or not??

Hi, I read the Sun Java tutorial twice times in this year about this topic.
    March 2006, it says:
"A subclass inherits all the members variables and methods from its superclass. However the
subclass might not have access to an inherited member variable or method. For example a
subclass cannot access a private member inherited from its superclass. One might think ,then ,
that the item was not inherited at all. But the item is inherited."
    September 2006, it says:
"A subclass does not inherit the private members of its parent class. However, if the superclass
has public or protected methods for accessing its private fields, these can also be used by the subclass.
A nested class has access to all the private members of its enclosing classboth fields
and methods. Therefore, a public or protected nested class inherited by a subclass has indirect access
to all of the private members of the superclass".
Which is wrong? Are private members inherit or not??

I teach Java 101 now and then. When I describes classes, sub-classes and access modifyers I use this metaphor:
Look at a class as a cardboard box. On the left outside of the box, you can write the names of the methods and attributes that you want others to see. These are the ones marked with public.
On the bottom outside of the box, you write all the names of attributes and methods that can be seen by classes that extends your class, sub-classes. These are the ones marked with protected.
Somehow, you are able to read the text on the outside when standing inside the box... has something to do with the pen that you use... ;-)
On the inside of the box you can write whatever you want that you do not want anyone else to see. These are marked private.
When creating a sub-class the sub-class-boxes are designed in such a way that it has a glass shelf halfway up on the right wall where you place your super-class-cardboard-box and a small window that allows users on the outside to look at the left side of the super-class-box. That is the only difference between a sub-class and a super-class-box.
Standing outside of the sub-class-box, you can read the left side of the sub-box and the left side of super-box through the window.
Standing inside the box, you can also read the bottom of the super-box through the glass-shelf.

  • I am trying to setup to secure a redirect public port to a private port

I i am trying to setup to secure a redirect public port to a private port to a Microsoft server exchange
A user coming from the outside(Untrusted security level 0) will connect to IIS server in the DMZ(Trusted security level 50) with a port 443 to a PIX 515 , the IIS server has a application called Detour Service(Service transparently reroutes any TCP connection from one IP Port to any other IP Port) will initiate a connection to Microsoft server exchange to the inside(trusted security level 100).
Do you think it is the right solution I term of security?yes or no, are do you have a better solutution
    Thanks
User port destination 443(outside)>>>>>> IIS server port destination 9999(DMZ)>>>>>>>>>>> Microsoft server exchange(inside)

Actually the connection from lower security level to higher security level is blocked. You can apply an access list to limit traffic from inside to outside, or allow traffic from outside to inside. For transparent firewall mode, you can also apply an EtherType access list to allow non-IP traffic.

  • I share itunes with other family members on my computer.  First time I synced my iPhone, I picked up all of their apps.  How can I avoid picking up their apps?

    How do I fix?

  • Share folder with some family members

    Hello,
I have one Imac with several users (wife and kids). I like to share some data with my wife without access by the kids. That means I want to have a folder, where both of us can save files and have read/write access to the files. It seems difficult, that files inherit the rights from an given folder.
What I managed to get was: administrator is changing the rights of the existing files and both have read/write access. BUT if a new file is added, only the person how added the file had read/write access. So I as Administrator have to change the rights anew.
What do I have to do, to pass the rights of the folder to new generated files?
    Does anyone know a solution?

Just change your iPhone's sync settings -- with your iPhone connected to iTunes, click on the Apps tab and choose to sync only selected apps, then choose the ones you want loaded. You can also drag and drop them to where you want them on your iPhone.

  • Can NOT update video automatically with selected playlists!

I just bought my iPod today and when I try to put some video on it, the movie does not appear anywhere.
when I click on the Video button, the "automatically with selected playlist" option is hidden and I cant click on it, and no video title can be observed.
Do you have to put video in to certain folder to add them?
And how come the Automatlcally with selected playlist is hidden?

    I had the same issue, however I used this program;
    http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/
I'm pasting this from the Videora site, the settings worked for me when others didn't, enjoy:
    Configuring videora converter
    0) Start Videora iPod converter.
    1) Click setup in the left nav.
    1.5) Click the profiles tab.
    2) Click new profile.
    3) Now, configure that profile:
    profile name: ipod
    in the video settings section...
    mode: MPEG-4 > CBR
    resolution: 320x240
    passes: one
bitrate: 768 kbps (384 kbps also works)
    framerate: 29.97 fps
    in the audio settings section...
    bitrate: 128 kbps
    sample rate: Input
    channels: stereo
    4) Click apply to save the profile.
    Now, you're ready to transcode.
    1) Click convert on the left nav.
    2) Click the transcode new video button.
    3) Pick your source video. Mine was an AVI from a torrent.
    4) Under quality profile, choose "ipod", the profile you created using the steps above.
    5) Click start.
Now you're ready to get the video on your ipod
    1) In iTunes, under the File menu, select add file to library. Find the transcoded one. By default, the transcoded videos pop out under the Videora install directory.
    2) Drag and drop to your ipod.
    Questions/observations:
    1) I haven't been able to get H264 anything to work. Is it broken? How much smaller than MPEG4 is it?
    2) 768 kbps video was about 400 megs/hour; 384 kbps video was about 231 megs/hour. I could readily see a difference in video quality.

  • Can you save print settings with a PDF?

I have an 8.5"x14" PDF. Is there anyway to save default print settings with this PDF so if a user opens it on their machine it defaults to printing to 8.5"x14" paper? Right now it always defaults to the standard 8.5"x11". I'm not sure this can be done because it seems like more of a specific users machine thing. I don't think you can save print settings with a PDF can you?
    Thanks!

The "auto-formatting" of a hardcopy print format is generally the realm of the output device, in this case the printer. Printer software gereally includes an auto-format feature that selects the proper bin. For those who only have a "letter" tray, it usually asks to feed the right format manually, or switch trays. This is not a PDF feature but an output device feature.
    Hope this helps.
