Publish Comments not showing

Two reviewers, both with Adobe Acrobat X Pro, open the PDF attachment in a shared review they were invited to. One sees the Publish Comments/Retrieve Comments buttons, and the other does not see them. What could be the problem?

Permissions are one thing.  The comments are kept in an XML file on the server and everyone who participates in the Shared Review should have Read/Write privileges.

  • Solved the comment not showing problem: info for anyone else

I have finally solved my problem regarding my comments not showing up on blogs and websites. I changed my email address and that seems to have done the trick. Just in case anyone else runs into the same thing. Thanks Miriam for trying to help me.

    "yahoo is my email provider"
Judging by the number of other threads on this, yes many people have been having Yahoo mail issues with push, and it appears to be on Yahoo's side, not Apple's.

  • Reviewer comments not showing up on my copy

    Good morning, all
I've invited a reviewer to an Acrobat.com based review. She's able to open the file via the invitation, make comments, and Publish Comments (successfully, by all indications)
However, I don't see her updated comments on my copy (the _review.pdf version) and Check for New Comments doesn't retrieve her new copies.
I've tried closing and reopening the review copy and the original copy, and I am able to successfully post my comments and retrieve them to my copy as well.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Good day Matt,
Are you having this problem with all files or just one?  Are any other reviewers exhibiting similar issues for you?

  • OBIEE 10g: BI Publisher page not showing properly

    Hello all,
I have installed OBIEE 10g on a VM with operating system: XP, service pack 3.
Analytics and Admin tool (I was able to create a new repository) are showing properly but when i try to login to the BI Publisher I just see two folder available "Shared folders"
and "My Folders" and all the other functionalities are missing. Also in the Preferences tab I just see "General Preferences"
and nothing else. I have logged in as an Administrator user but i think the problem is that this user doesn't actually have admin rights when it comes to BI Publisher module.
I tried to give some more permissions through Analytics>Settings>Manage Privilleges but there was no progress.
Can you please give me some guidance on that issue?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dina

  • Issue: Comments not showing correctly on iPhone

    Hi,
Please fix the below issue on iPhone App.
    Summary:
If there is a long comment it only shows some of it on the iPhone. Viewing the comment on the iPad allows you to see the whole comment.
    Details:
If the comment is medium length, you can tilt the phone and thereby see it all. If the comment is very long, it only shows a certain number of lines and you'll then have to view it on the iPad to see read it all.
    Thanks,
    Kasper

    Hi Kasper
This is a bug in the iphone version of revel that we found recently. We have this logged and are looking into it. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for reporting it.

  • Published Album not showing up in actual gallery

I have been attempting to publish an event to my web gallery. The event for is correctly listed in the iphoto 2008 Web gallery drop down listing, however when I go to the actual gallery on the web this particular event is not viewable.
Should I delete the event from my web gallery listing and then republish?

    mggt:
Yes, I'd delete it and republish. However, another user reported that each time he posted a new gallery it would delete the previous one. You may be having that problem also. If so contact Apple's phone support - don't remember the number.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • Comments Not Showing Up in CP 5.5

We're trying to utitlize the Captivate Reviewer through Acrobat.Com.
We are able to send the reviewer file to acrobat.com, retrieve it, and make comments.  When we try to retrieve the comments in Captivate, however, the button to retrieve them is not available to select.
Could there be a step we are missing in the process?
    Thanks for the help.

I'm having the exact same issue.
I've been testing this myself using multiple email addresses. I've created the .crev file, sent the email to another address I have, successfully reviewed and entered comments, SAVED them, and exited the reviewer. I think returned to my original machine and hit "Refresh Comments" in the .cp file, but nothing happened.
The interesting thing is that I can open the .crev file that was created on my machine when it chose to send for shared review and see the comments I entered under my second email address. So the comments will refresh in the Captivate Reviewer, but not in Captivate itself.
And since I'm sure it will be asked, yes, I've also tried closing Captivate and opening it again, but to no avail.
I don't want my reviewers to have to export to an XML file and send it to me, so as a workaround I can use the .crev file that connects to acrobat.com to export all the comments to XML and import those into Captivate. It's a little bit of a hassle considering how helpful the functionality COULD be.

  • BI Publisher is not showing Oracle BI Answers

    Hi,
I've OBIEE 10g running on linux.
I'm trying to publish one of the reports developed in OBIEE by using BI Publisher.
In 'Data Model' -> 'New Data Set' when I use 'Type' as 'Oracel BI Answers'
and then click on the 'flashlight' icon next to 'Oracle BI Answers'
A box opens up with only two lines 'Oracle BI Catalog' and 'BI Catalog Home'.
I'm not seeing list of answers or reports developed in OBIEE.
I've checked the settings in 'Oracle BI Presentation Services' panel, It is set properly.
in URL suffix I use analytics/saw.dll (whcih was tehr by default.
Do I need to give whole http://<server>:9704/analytics/saw.dll string there?
Can anyone please tell what is missing and what do I need to do to see Answers.
    Thanks
    Tarun

    Hi,
Are you generating the report output from a page,ex: on a button click or on click of a link?
If yes, please verify if the record which is the base table for your report data source is updated before you generate the report.
    Thanks!

  • Comments not showing

Hallo... I have a question about comments on my podcast. There are a lot of people telling me that they leave comments and rate from iTunes (on Mac and on iOS)... But so far i can only see the first ones (just 9 comments... )... Why is that? I think i have at least other 20 comments waiting to be published... Is there a way to check this out?
    Thank you so much
    (my podcast is http://itunes.apple.com/it/podcast/giardino-delle-vergini-dorecchie/id533402193 )

I'm afraid I can't be of much help here - I've never really looked into the matter of comments. You could ask in the iTunes forum, since this is really more a problem with iTunes than with your podcast, and there will be a wider range of people there and someone might have an answer.

  • HTML comments not showing up in snippets in RH9?

I want to be able to add some HTML comments sometimes when I enter content.
For example, let's say I want a pair of HTML comments like so, with a place for text between them.
    <!-- begin info pulled from the v3 P & P manual -->
    and
    <!-- end info pulled  from the v3 P & P manual -->
I created a snippet, entering the following using HTML view:
    <!-- begin info pulled  from the v3 P & P manual -->
    <p>Copy the text in here.</p>
    <!-- end info pulled  from the v3 P & P manual -->
When I dragged the snippet onto the topic, though, the HTML comments (lines 1 and 3 in the example) were missing. That was the whole point of the snippet: To be able to copy in the HTML comment lines.
I can open the snippet in HTML view, copy the lines, and paste them into the HTML view of the topic, of course, but I'm going to be leaving this project after it's over and don't want to have my successor pulling his/her head out wondering how to get this to work.
    Suggestions?

No comment is going to appear in Design View, regardless of whether it is in a snippet, an ordinary topic or any page being edited in any HTML editor's design view. That's the whole point of comments, they are something that only appear in the HTML view.
Maybe you were hoping the content of the snippet appeared in topics rather than just the reference?
Anyway, I am sure Amebr's excellent alternative approach will work for you.

  • Shared Review Comments not Saving

    My System
    Acrobat 10.0.0
    Win 7 64 bit
Hello everyone for some reason my system is not properly uploading my comments on a shared review.  When I create a comment and select publish comments it shows a message that it was published but it doesnt.  Has anyone ver heard of this happening and have any idea on how to fix it.
Just as a side note my disributed forms seem to work fine, it just the shared review.

I have tried sending rieviews through a sharepoint server, and a network and as for the file both linked or attached.  This is the case for both reviews I post or someone else, even when others are commenting without any problems.

  • Comment box not showing up

I just published my entire iweb site to a folder so that i could export it to a wordpress site. Then I went back to publish another blog post via mobileme and the comment box does not show up.  I updated all of my software, tried to recreate the post agian and republish it and did a new "test" post, which came up with no comment box as well. I would love to hear if anyone has any suggestions... Or am I just at the end of the line with iweb?
    http://www.playfulearning.com/Playful_Learning/Blog/Entries/2012/3/6_Mama_Time__ A_Cart_of_One%E2%80%99s_Own.html
    Thank you...

The comments feature does not work if hosted on a server other than MMe:
Features Unavailable When Publishing to a 3rd Party Server:
    ◼ Password protection
    ◼ Blog and photo comments
    ◼ Blog search
    ◼ Hit counter
Currently if the site is published directly from iWeb to the 3rd party server the RSS feed and slideshow subscription features will work. However, if the site is first published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded to the sever with a 3rd party FTP client those two feature will be broken.
So if you want to have user comments with your blog you'll need to use a 3rd party commenting system like Discover your community - DISQUS, IntenseDebate  or Echo - Products.
Another option is to conver your iWeb blog to a Wordpress blog with Rage Software's iWeb to WordPress for Mac OS X. Or start a new blog at one of the established blogging sites and embed it into your iWeb page like in this demo page: Embed a Site Within an iWeb Page

  • "Comments" does not show up on internet

    Hello everybody
Today I can't get the "comment" button in my last blog entry. I republished several times but the entry stays red and the button does not show up on the web:
    http://web.me.com/cmorzier/Site/Blog/Entr%C3%A9es/2010/2/18_Enfin.html
    Is it a server problem?

The red issue has been around for a while. The blog is working as intended and I've added a comment to your last blog. Clear your browser's cache and:
    do the following:
1 - delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your User/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - go to your User/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete the contents.
    3 - reboot.
4 - launch iWeb, publish changes and see if the color changes.

  • BI Publisher "Report Job" not showing job continously searching

    Hi Experts,
I'm facing problem while schedule job in Oracle BI Publisher, I successfully schedule job (for bursting) and its running 3 or 4 days continuously, as a result got the report by email but after that I don't get any email, even no error message by email as well. when I go to "Report Job" it showing no data and continuously searching, showing "Fetching Jobs Data....." right top of the page
    Administration>Scheduler Configuration
    Scheduler = Quartz
    Administration>Scheduler Diagnostics
    Result = Passed
    Oracle BI Publisher 11.1.1.6.0

Ok, you cannot see report scheduler information, report history if scheduler is down or hung.
    1. How many reports are simultaneously scheduled to run?
    2. How do you rate the size of the scheduled reports? Based on number of rows it generates - Small? Medium? or Large?
Looks like BI Publisher is not able to push jobs into the scheduler queue.
Please check BIP scheduler database table "QRTZ_FIRED_TRIGGERS" to see any running or pending jobs.
You will come to the root cause of the issue by setting the BIP log level to trace:32
    http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E28280_01/bi.1111/e22255/diagnostics.htm#BIPAD343
    or configure xdodebug
    https://blogs.oracle.com/xmlpublisher/entry/get_logging
Take next action steps based on the error/warning that will be captured in the log files during the time of scheduling
You can also consider the following but I would prefer to check the log files first
Please try this at your BIP server side
    1. Increase Java Heapsize if it is less
    2. Increase BIP Scheduler Database size
    3. Clear server cache and scheduler database transaction logs
