Publish issue when updating from Flash 6

I'm updating some action scripts that were created in Flash MX to Flash CS4. The script layers 2 movies and the user is supposed to be able to move the top movie by grabbing it with a mouse and dragging it around. Here is the code that creates the layers:

When I publish Flash_Navbar.swf with Flash 6 in the publish settings there is no problem with moving this object around. However if I publish with the settings at Flash 7 or higher, it cannot be moved with a mouse. So there must be some additional setting that I need to specify for Flash Navbar. In all cases, I have left the Action Script settings at Version 1. Any advice?

where's Path defined??
hint: in flash 6, if it's not defined, it's assigned "". after flash 6, it's "undefined" if used as a string.

Was working fine in 11.1.1.4.0 then I upgraded to 11.1.2.0.0 and now when I click on "Webservice Properties" then go to methods some are grayed out. I click the "Why Not?" button and it says.
There was an error validating the SEI, but no specific error messages were reported.
Go back, open the same project up in 1.1.1.4.0 and no problems. I even cut the service down to one simple method to publish and still get the error.

I have the identical issue. Is there any solution? I am o on a clean install of 11.1.2.1 and it is doing this. If I add another dummy method to the class, I can get one step further and select the method I want, but then I get the same SEI error.

What was biggest issue when updating from Logic 6 to Logic 7?

I'm switching this week by purchasing update (Logic 6 to 7). Was everything seamless? Will all my Sampletank plugs work fine? Will I have to re-authorize all non logic plug-ins (sampletank, Soundsoap, etc). Do garageband instruments and loops transfer auomatically? Will all current Logic preferences carry over to Logic 7? Please tell experiences on actual update. How does XS key get updated?

hi dale, yes everybody's had issues - we're just too bored and tired with the whole buggy mess to respond. just read some of the messages by rohan, armag.,ishwartz and stash to get the picture.
if it works great already, keep it going and add the upgrades cautiously.
stick the new stuff on its own drive and thrash it, day in day out, until you trust it. don't leave yourself without a back door (os9 is mine).

It continues to be a real pain having to reconnect to the network each time I wake my MacBook Air from sleep.
Does anyone have a suggestion for the resolution to this problem?

It seems the update fixed old problems for some and caused new problems for others. Sorry to hear you're in the latter group.
Here are some things to try.
1. Go to System Preferences > Network, and click the gear icon under the network interfaces like so:
Whatever service order you have set, drag Wi-Fi either to the top (assuming it's not already there) or someplace else in the list. Click OK and then Apply. Sleep the system then wake it again to observe any changes.
2. Click Wi-Fi in the above then click Advanced. Select all the networks your computer has ever joined and delete them with the "-" button. OK then Apply again. Select your network under the AirPort icon to re-join it. Sleep and wake again to see if that did anything.
3. Try creating a new, temporary user account. Log in under that account to see if its behavior is any different.
You may have done all of these already but perhaps there is something you have not thought of. If nothing helps we may just have to wait a bit longer for Apple to release a fix.

Entity beans will get refreshed using the JMS messges. with in the MDB descriptor files(weblogic-ejb-jar.xml) we are using the provider URL directly and XA enabled connection factory is set to false.
migration to Weblogic 10.3.5_
With the same configurations MDB are not not getting deployed in weblogic 10 with some exception, so we removed the provider URL from weblogic-ejb-jar.xml and changed the JMS configuration to use foreign JMS and XA enable connection factory is set to true. Now when ever the JMS message is triggered Entity bean is not getting refreshed with the updated values. i.e values are stale.
Can some one look into this and provide your inputs to resolve this issue.

I think the Entity bean refresh problem appears to be unrelated to MDBs. The MDB is only responsible for getting the message to your application (which in turn interacts with Entity beans). You might want to try posting your question to an EJB newsgroup.

Mac Projector Crashes When exported From Flash CS5.5

Something strange that i noticed, when i had exported a presentation for a Mac,
on a 64 bit windows 7 using flash cs5.5.
the applicaton gets the paths of a few swfs from an XML file
and loads them one after the other.. there is a small bit of interactivity.
.. tested this projecter on various versions of MAC, it crashes often,crashes earlier if i switch applications. what follows here is a part of a report that was generated on an OS X 10.7.3,
works fine if the projector is exported from flash cs5.
i need it to work when exported from flash cs5.5.. any suggestions on what i need to change in my application so that it works when exported from flash cs5.5?

Looks like it was a memory problem with the jvm.ini file.
Pumped it up to 256 and it works now.

Indesign 5.5 crash issues when updating links

I am having crash issues when updating links and I don’t know how to trouble shoot the issues.
I have adobe creative suite 5.5 and I am using a third party plug in called wordsflow to allow updating of MS word documents without losing formatting in Indesign.
I have been in contact with the plug creator and they seem to think that the way the indesign importer is handling images is causing the problem.
I am not a particularly experienced Indesign user. How do I go about working out what the issue is?

At first it does appear that the plug in is the problem, however i suspect that the builders of the plugin are correct, in that it is the way in design in handling images in links.
the problem is worse when any image in anchored any where with in the document.
when the updating links screen pops up, the point where it freezes and then indesign crashes is infact on a linked image file consistantly.
broswing other indesign link issues it appears i am not the only person with image link problems.
My question is aside form turning off the plug in, what else can i do to search for the potential issue?

I downloaded the 1.2 Go file, and applied it. And repaired permissions.
Everything went fine.
Unfortunately, it didn't solve the problem.
Meaning that when iMac wakes up, it doen't join my WiFi network.
I have to do it manually.
I don't know what to do : it is very strange because I never had that problem with OS 10.7.2 !
And my network setup has never changed.

I noticed that in the network setup screen, when I want to close the little lock to restrain further modifications, it won't close. Weird !
Do you think I should call Apple Assistance ?

Crm plugin issue when updating parent account field in account.

In my CRM Application ( CRM 2011) we have accounts and contacts. when account parent account is updated their contacts owner id will be updated in crm db server and external server using notification service which is called by pulgin.
so in one of my account has 6000+ contacts ,when updating accounts parent account id from crm , screen disabled and after 4 to 6 mins sql error message screen displayed.

If i debug the account update code plugin it seems to be working fine (means updated parent account id and contacts ). if i remove debugger and hit on save from crm , throws error.
this is high priority issues , im struggling from past 3 days could get any solution.

If you use plugin for send information to any external system you create small intergation.
For integration use must create async plugin. On your trace ( account; Stage: 30;) you use sync plugin.

EF ProviderManifestToken issue when updating ODAC Beta 3 to final release

Hi everybody,
We're using ODAC (connecting to a Oracle 9i) with VS2010, developing with .NET Framework 4 using Entity Framework. We started our developments using ODAC Beta 1, and we have been updating the ODAC every time that a new Beta was released and everything was going like expected, but we're having trouble with the last update, from ODAC Beta 3 to the final release (11.2.0.3). Note that we have only one ODAC installed at the time, for every update we first uninstall the old release, then we install the new ones and finally we update the application references to the new Oracle.DataAccess.dll.
The first error occurred when the application attempt to access the DB, the message we got was: "+ProviderManifestToken no es válido+" ("*ProviderManifestToken is not valid*") .
We tried updating the model (EDMX) from the database (the only change made was an update in the EDMX SSDL content from ProviderManifestToken="9i" to ProviderManifestToken="9.2"), then another error came out: "+El esquema especificado no es válido. Errores: Modelo.ssdl (2,93) : error 0169: Los artefactos SSDL deben tener como destino el mismo proveedor. ProviderManifestToken '9i' es diferente de '9.2' que se encontró antes.+" (something like "*The specified schema is not valid. All SSDL artifacts must target the same provider. The ProviderManifestToken '9i' is different from '9.2' that was encountered earlier.*"). We did some research about this error, but couldn’t find any solution... does anyone know how the update from Beta 3 to Final Release should be done? are we missing any configuration?

ODAC Beta 3 (11.2.0.2.50) starts to use two most-significant digits of an Oracle database version number for ProviderManifestToken.
You have no problem with ODAC Beta 3 by modifying '9i' to '9.2' for ProviderManifestToken. But when updating ODAC Beta 3 to final release (11.2.0.3) and doing the same modifications, the said "another error" occurs. That seems to indicate the issue is not about ProviderManifestToken itself.
I am wondering if there are different store schemas in your edmx file and the error is caused by schema filtering.
For example, having differnet store schemas for the Schema= like below.

Can I have unique function and variable names with createjs when publsihing from Flash?

Hey everyone!
I have recently started using the Toolkit for CreateJS exporter for turning small button icon animations, made in Flash, into content for HTML5. I have created 3 seperate icon '.fla' files that animate when rolled over.
With this example tag added into my html5 document, the animation works fine:

However, once I have added more than one canvas tags, only one icon would appear on screen:

I found out that the JavaScript files that were generated with each '.fla' file were conflicting because they were all using the same variable and function names (ex. stage, canvas, init(), etc.). Is there a way for me to publish the JavaScript from Flash with document specific variable and function names? (ex. about_stage, about_canvas, about_init())
A work around methood that I can currently using is putting each <canvas> tag into it's own iFrame.

The JS asset libraries should not conflict with each other, unless there are symbols with the same names. Even then, you can change the Symbols namespace for each FLA to prevent collisions.
It sounds like you're trying to copy/paste the code out of the preview HTML. It's not really designed for this, and it will lead to name collisions. You'll either want to rewrite this logic in your own HTML (using the preview code as a reference), or rename the variables as appropriate after you copy/paste.

Dhcpcd issues when updating my pacman

I have read the wiki, and know that we could get the issues with filesystem. However I can't get this to work correctly when doing pacman -Syu. Using the issue with the dhcpcd I tried to look for similar packages that own those files.

As for others experiencing this - no, that is not the case. Something has gone wrong on your system. Either you installed dhcpcd manually circumventing pacman, or your package database was corrupted.

Mid 2009 17" MacBook Pro battery shutdown issue when waking from sleep.

My unibody 17" MacBook Pro occasionally shuts down on waking from sleep when it isn't plugged in.
When I open the lid to wake it I can hear the hard drive and fans starting to spool, and then the next second it's off and silent. The laptop doesn't mind being turned on again after it does this and might go a week without doing it again, equally it might do it next time I try and wake it from sleep. It does this regardless of battery charge level.
coconutBattery says the battery still has 86% of its designed capacity, and I haven't noticed anything else untoward regarding battery charging or performance when in use.
So my question is two fold:
1) Does it sound like the battery's internal processor is malfunctioning, or could it be something else?
2) If it is the battery's internal processor, will replacing the battery replace the processor, or are they fitted separately (in defference to the 'internal' part of its name)?

nb. just in case it makes any difference, the laptop is a 17" Mid-2009 MacBook Pro, 2.8GHz Core 2 Duo with 4Gb Ram running OSX 10.7.3

I have had issues when i press the space bar from sleep, sometimes it wakes but others i'm forced to power it on with the power button.
Is this similar to anything you've experianced?
Its so inconsistantly these days, but i'm also connected to an external screen.
