Publish on .mac address, but have different domain show up

We have a .mac account. Plus we have another domain. Can I log into my cpanel on our other domain and have it point to our .mac account http address?
That way I can publish our site on our .mac web address, but tell people to go to our other domain address because it it more professional of a looking domain.
I am not talking a redirect. I am not sure how to ask my question. Does this my question may sense?

To give you an example. I have my website adresses registered with buydomains.com. One is seasidemusic.com. While I was first fooling around with the site before it went live I had it on my aol member space. By using the frameforwarding service from buydomains, I was able to send my beta testers a link to seasidemusic.com, and that's what they saw when they went to the site, too. They never had to know it was really at members.aol.com.
EDIT I should say that I don't know if apple forbids this on .mac. They didn't use to--I know Sky Kogachi had his design work with his url, but they might have changed their policy. I'd check with the folks in the .mac homepage forum before you spend any great amount of time or any money on this.

If you and your wife have separate user accounts on the Mac, then each of you will have separate libraries to sync. You can them maintain separate address books, calendars, apps, etc.

you put periods between the numbers.
Each device needs a unique number.
for the 192.168.1 the right must number should vary. 192.168.1.x
the numbers you have look ok.
Power off all devices: wifi router, printer, ipad.. wait 10 minutes. poweron router ... wait power on printer wait then power on ipad.

No. You need to buy it for your Apple ID and for the other. You will have problems with updates

OS X installers have always been fairly specific, hardware-wise. I haven't read anything reflecting that situation with the Recovery HD, so it may be that the Recovery HD created for the MacBook Pro does not have the necessary drivers for the Mac Pro. Obviously, nothing definitive here, but a possibility.

iOS does not support multiple users like a desktop OS does.
You can use a web interface to your respective email accounts
to keep things separate; but there is no provision for otherwise
separating photos, media, etc.

I have 2 email addresses but they are not showing in the left hand column in TB, how do I rectify this problem?

I am hoping to transfer from Outlook Express to TB. On installing TB and importing from OE the 2 email address I have do not show as seperate accounts. The 2 are brian@IP address and shopping@IPaddress.
I use the 2 address for completely seperate reasons and would therefore like each account to have their own Inbox and the incoming emails to be downloaded in each inbox, as they currently are in OE.
How can I acheive this in TB?

I would like to publish the 2 sites I have created but want them to be directed to different domain names - is this possible? I want to buy two domain names (www.blank.com and www.empty.com) but I could not find how to do that or if it is possible.

To do this you really need to go with a commercial hosting service rather than .Mac for publishing. You could have one site on your .Mac account and one on another server, or have two .Mac accounts, but this is not a very cost effective way of doing it.

By doing this you lose the advantage of "one click" publishing and a few of the features of iWeb. You will have to publish your website to a folder and upload it to the server with an FTP application.
The main advantages are that, if you choose a reliable company, it is cheaper and you will have a faster and more reliable service with the benefit of tech support.

The default structure is set up not to allow what you want. Initially I thought you could get an entity to receive mail just by putting the address you wanted as mail= or mailalternateaddress=. But it turns out that it uses both the directory structure and the individual properties. That is, if you send mail to [email protected], two things must be true:
- the entry for user must be in whatever hierarchy is pointed to when you track down dc=foo, dc=com, o=internet.
- the user must have mail= or mailalternate= with [email protected]
The problem is that your uid joe has to be located in o=siroe.com,o=isp in order to get mail addressed to anything @siroe.com, and in o=sunroe.com to get mail addressed to anything @sunroe.com. Since directory aliases aren't implemented, an entry can only be in one place at a time.
However there is an approach. In imta/config/option.dat, normally you have ALIAS_URL0, with ALIAS_URL1 and 2 commented out. If you add ALIAS_URL1=ldap:///$B?*?sub?$R, then if it can't find an entry in the appropriate place, it will do a global search for any entry with a matching mail= or mailalternateaddress=. I believe in your configuration the search will be all of o=isp. You can watch the access log in your directory server to see what the actual lookups are. If $B doesn't work you can hardcode o=isp in the URL.
Another approach would be to forget the structure entirely and just replace $V with $B in ALIAS_URL0. That depends upon how your system is going to be administered. If the administrators for the various domains are independent, you want to give entries in the domain priority access to names in the domain. That is, if there are several entries with mail or mailalternateaddress attributes of [email protected], you probably want to give priority to the one actually in siroe.com. Hence my original suggestion.
Note that I'm using direct LDAP access. I make no guarantees if you're not doing that.
When testing this sort of thing, remember that lookups are cached for 10 min. This can produce odd effects when you're testing. Changes seem not to do anything.
A better way of testing is to do "imsmta test -rewrite [-debug] foo@bar" That will show exactly how an address is treated, and if -debug is specified, you'll have a decent chance figuring out what it doesn't work the way you expected.

Newbie with Mac iWeb, but have used Dreamweaver in Windose ......

Hi all, i used Dreamweaver with good effect on my Windose Lap top, i now have the free App "iWeb" on my new Mac.
I have had a quick look at what is can be done with iWeb, it seems to have a few Templates built in, but i don't see any facilities to use Templates from anywhere else or any possibility of Editing any Web Sites i have previously created.
Have i missed something significant, i guess to have the same facilities given me by Dreamweaver i have to spend some more money !, or Dual Boot with Boot Camp.
Any suggestions would be appreciated

There are 3 themes in iWeb that can be customized extensively by the user: Black, White and Modern Frame. The Formal theme can also be customized in all page layouts except for its blog page. Each theme will have a different navbar font and color scheme. So choose the one that would work best with your design.
There are numerous 3rd party themes that can be purchase and added to iWeb. Just do a Google search for "iWeb 3 themes".
Does Dreamweaver have a "crossover" deal where you can get the Mac version for a greatly reduced price if you already have the Window version like Adobe does for Photoshop?

I have different domains in different folders. why it opens the same domain always?

this is crazy. I have different folder for the domais and avery time I want to open one of them, it opens always the same domain. After I upgraded to OS X 10.8.2 I do not know... did they change the way iWeb works?

In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

Apps and Music are not from iCloud. Are from iTunes and App Store.
You can change this from: Settings>iTunes and App Stores>Sign out and sign in with new ID, but you will have to pay again to download apps that you already have in your old account. Or leave it as it is to share purchases with your son.
