Publishing a msaccess database
I created an Access 2013 database and when trying to publish it requested for a url which I did write but did not publish instead asked for a sharepoint ..... is it possible to publish access database using any other url other than sharepoint.
Hi,
You can save the Access 2013 database to the following options. It is by default.
For issue related to Access 2013, it is recommended that you initial a new thread in our Microsoft Office forum as the link below:

I will now remember that date cannot be the name of a field when using jdbc-odbc. I called my field TransDate and it is now working perfectly! -
What is the driver name to be given for connecting with an MSAccess database?
I tried the 32bitODBC test on the MSAccess database. Works fine. My loaded java program trying to connect with the database is still not working. NullPointerException runtime error.
Maybe the driver that I've loaded is wrong viz. sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver.
What is the correct drivername to be given in class.forname("driverName")?
Any clues?what u've given as the driver name is correct. The NullPointerException comes because of problems with passing parameters from the front end to the database. It's receiving null parameter values. Check the parameters u r passing to the database. I think this will solve the problem.

How can I compact a MSAccess database with java?
Hi.
I have a question (Please Help!!!):
How can I compact a MSAccess database with java-jdbc? Is it posible?
ThanksMS Access database has a max length limitation of 2.14GB for Access 2000( 1.07G for Access 97), and won't recycle basically space for update/delete sql so tha it's a good idea to use MS Access database for program, which need update/delete frequent ly data. The programmers of HXTT Access(www.hxtt.net) are writing code for CREATE TABLE/DATABASE sql now. If you need a pure Java solution for PACK TABLE/DATABSE urgently in your project, you should send such a requirement to the Support page of www.hxtt.net so that they can schedule complementing such a fucntion. Otherwise, you should pack your databae manually or visit C++ code for Compact an Access Database Programmatically at
http://www.codeguru.com/Cpp/data/mfc_database/microsoftaccess/article.php/c4327/ , or use Easy Microsoft Access MDB MDE Compactor at http://www.easyhr.com.au/software/easy_mdb_mde_compactor.htm. -
Using JDBC to send data to MsAccess database
Hi,
I have received a MSAccess database on a file. I have placed the database on a networkdrive, and need to write data to the tables in this database. The networkdrive is mapped like //Data/DB/Databse.mdb
How do I connect the jdbc adapter to this database? Can it be done, like you normally connect to a database system with servername and port?
Kind regards
Mikkel ÍversenHi
In that case u have to provide the Connection parameter and the driver name.
Refer today thread : https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/profile?userid=3596219
Enter the following parameter in the JDBC adapter..
JDBC Driver = "sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver"
Connection = "jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=
DataDBDatabse.mdb"
if there is authentication then enter :
uername & Password.
Also note your .mdb file should be on the same server where the XI is installed.
Thanks
Farooq.

BI publisher report : why "Database Usage Tracking Summary" repport is empty ?
Hi everyone,
I'me using BI publisher intergated to Grid Control12c (R3), trying to get "Database Usage Tracking Summary" report folowing Oracle documentation (http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E24628_01/doc.121/e24473/usage_reports.htm#EMADM13568)
And I have 2 problems :
1) FTPburst delivery is not working, sftp is configured but still have the folowing error
Echec de la distribution.
[INSTANCE_ID=gs00slli052.occ.lan.1424277393149] [OUTPUT_ID=1973]

at oracle.xdo.service.delivery.impl.DeliveryServiceI
2) Since FTPburst delivery is not working, i decide to try mail delivery. The delivery itself is working but the report is empty (see Sortie1.xls in attachements)
So i don't know why is it empty.
Can someone guide me ?Hi,
Thank You for your quick reply. The table permission was alright.
Its very strange that, we configure usage tracking in obiee 11.1.1.6.0 using enterprise manager and that how all document says. And then it should automatically update the "NQSCONFIG.INI". But it was not updated there. So we need to change all configuration settings in both "Enterprise Manager" and also in the "NQSCONFIG.INI". Then it works fine!!
Thanks,
BK. -

Problems connecting to 32 bit msaccess database from 64 bit 11G
Here is the issue:
I have a 9i (32 bit windows) database with an hsodbc connection to an an older access database so once schema can see & copy data from said access database, all works fine.
I'm getting ready to move the database to 64 bit 11.2.0.3 on windows 2008 64 bit server, database is migrated and tested ok.
The problem is with the dg4odbc connection, I have created connections for AS400 databases and they're ok, but I set up an ODBC to the access database, using the 32 bit ODBC interface as MS recommends, but I still keep getting this error:
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] The specified DSN contains an architecture
mismatch between the Driver and Application {IM014}
ORA-02063: preceding 2 lines from RADERDB
According to MS technet this is from not using the c:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe to set up the ODBC connection, but I did use that executable, when I use the regular 64 bit ODBC admin I can't even see msaccess drivers to begin with.
The funny thing is, when I point the tnsnames.ora entry to the old 9i server, it uses that ODBC connection and then the 11G dblink then works fine. However this is a band-aid solution and I want to get everything working from the new production database server.
Any suggestions?
thanks in advance..The message means that you're using a 32bit ODBC driver with a 64bit program. That does not work. If you want to connect with the 64bit DG4ODBC you need to use a 64bit ODBC driver. There's a package available from the Microsoft Technet sites (AccessDatabaseEngine_x64 - http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=13255 ) that ships 64bit ODBC drivers for their Excel/Access programs.
Please be aware that installing 32bit gateway products on 64bit Windows is NOT supported.

Need to publish message from database to a JMS Queue using Java
I need to publish messages to a Websphere JMS Queue whenever any changes happen on a particular column of a table in oracle 11g. For that I have written a trigger on that particular table which in turn will invoke one java procedure. I have written the java procedure using a standalone java class and uploaded the java class as a schema object. While executing the procedure it is throwing error as it is not able to instantiate some of the java classes. I don't know how to provide the reference of different jar files while executing the java class. Can anyone help me on this.
Welcome to the forum!

Clarify your statement. First you say 'standalone java class' but then you talk about instantiating java 'classes' and referencing 'different jar files'. If you are executing your Java class inside Oracle then any Java classes that your java class is referencing also have to be loaded into Oracle or it won't be able to reference or execute them.
How do you plan to ' publish messages to a Websphere JMS Queue '? Where is this queue you are talking about?
Why are you using a Java procedure and class instead of PL/SQL?
What is your 4 digit Oracle version (result of SELECT * FROM V$VERSION)? -
Using a MsAccess database with Dreamweaver CS4?
Hi Everyone,
I have a question concerning using a Microsoft Access Database with Dreamweaver.
First, I was wondering if this was possible. Second, if it is, could someone give me instructions or a link on how to do this. I am pretty new to Dreamweaver, code, etc..., so simpler instructions on how to acheive this would be great.
Here is some information...
1) I am running Windows XP SP2
2) I am using Microsoft Office 2003 (Acces included)
3) I am using Dreamweaver CS4
4) I have installed XAMMP (Apache,MySQL, FileZilla, and PHPmyAdmin, as far as I know)
If anyone needs more information, I'll be hapy to share it as soon as possible.
Any help is greatly appreciated,
Musicman1994The choice of database really depends on which server-side technology you plan to use, and what you're actually planning to use it for.
Access was designed to create databases for small office systems. Although I personally found it very confusing, a lot of people like it and say it's easy to use. However, its major drawback is that it creates very large files; and as soon as the website gets a reasonable amount of traffic, Access has a tendency to freeze or lock up. You can create your database in Access and then export it to another database system, such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL. But it's better to start with the database that you ultimately plan using.
I certainly wouldn't recommend developing anything in ASP and then attempting to convert the website to PHP. Although all server-side programs share common features and structures, the code is completely different. So, take some time over choosing your technology first. If you have never developed in ASP, you should be aware that Microsoft stopped developing it about ten years ago. It's still popular and widely available, but ASP is likely to dwindle in usefulness as the years go by. Use PHP or ColdFusion, both of which are supported by Dreamweaver. The other main alternative is ASP.NET, but that's no longer supported by Dreamweaver. -
Save a published Access services database site as a template with contents does not work
Hi
I have a Access site on the SharePoint. I wanted the site to be duplicated to another subsite, I then did the usual - save site as a template with contents and made a copy of it, however it does not work. I have been getting the error as stated below
error has occurred during report processing. (rsProcessingAborted)
Query execution failed for dataset 'Default'. (rsErrorExecutingCommand)
For more information about this error navigate to the report server on the local server machine, or enable remote errors
However, it works if I make a local copy and publish it to the subsite? How does access services work on SharePoint and why the template option can't be chosen.Hi cally, check the following links for possible solutions:

What could be the reason any help on this issue
Should I use MS Access or not but I want to use ms access for very small databases.
