Publishing Multiple Renditions - iPad Overrides Android

Hi,
We have just begun working on publishing our magazines to android, so to see how things work, I am doing some testing with publishing multiple renditions such that you get a 800x1280 magazine on android (Galaxy 2 specifically at the moment) and 768x1024 on iPads. However, when I publish both, only the iPad rendition displays on the Adobe Viewer app.
I have tried the following.
Both renditions have the same folio name, publication name, folio number, publication date and product ID.

Publish iPad version first.
These all result in the iPad version overriding the Android version.
Any help would be appreciated.

We have seen many publishers using 2 different accounts. One for iPad and one for android. This way there is no chance for iPad version to conflict with android version.
Galaxy tab 10" has 48 pixel system bars and also because of that your device is taking 1024x768 rendition.
Supported rendition for Samsung Galaxy 10" is:
For Dual Orientation: 1232×752
For Portrait: 1232×800
For Landscape: 1280×752

Captivate 6 HTML 5 won't publish on iPhone, iPad, and Android

I am having a problem with captivate 6 HTML publishing on iPhone, iPad, and Android.
We are using an external vendor to host our content, using SCORM for tracking. Our courses have been working for LMS output and now we wanted to also publish them for HTML5 to work on mobile devices/iPads.
When trying to view the output on both an iPhone with iOS 6 and an Android with 4.0.3, I get error messages about the course using flash, which of course the device does not support. I have published the course files in HTML 5 only and enabled e-learning output. The course also does not work on a local site (independent of the LMS).
I'm not sure what I could be doing wrong in the publishing process. The only thing that I am able to tell is that I don't see an HTML5 file when I publish - only a regular html file. I have attached a screenshot of the directory I get after publishing.
Any help is appreciated.

When it launches on the iphone, it looks as if it is zoomed in to one region of the screen. In other words, you can't see the entire course within the browser window on the screen. You have to pan to move to different areas of the screen. We tried publishing with scalable HTML checked, but that had no effect on the size.

How do I publish multiple renditions??

I am trying to get my first app on the app store, and I want an SD version and an HD version. I've been reading all of these discussions and I am confused... I am using single edition, so di I only need one serial number, or two? If only one, should my file be one InDesign file with 2 renditions, or should I create two different files, one for SD and one for HD? I tried both ways, but when I downloaded the test file for the single InDesign file with 2 renditions, only the SD version shows up on my HD iPad. When I try two InDesign files, I started with the HD version, got all the way to the point where I can download and test an HD version, but then when I try to create an SD version I am not allowed because the serial number is already used by the HD version. HELP! How does this work???? I can't find any documentation online that is a step by step process for this. Also, my files will not upload as PDF, they fail every time so I am uploading as Automatic.

If you're creating a Single Edition app, you cannot use folio renditions because only one folio can be included in a Single Edition app. Instead, use a feature called "multi-rendition articles," which is a way of creating articles that look good on both HD and SD devices. See this article:

IPad to Android

I already have an existing DPS app which works fine in ipad, which has to be converted to Android app.Need help!
The issues im facing is:
1. Black bars around the screen, I increased the dimentions to fit the android device(Samsung Galaxy Note), the thickness of the bars has reduced but the black bar on either side of the screen remains.
Query:
Can these black bars be eliminated completely?
2. The first page contains a Edge animation where thre is a background image moving to the left and few other .svg images moving to the right. This dint work in Android. Rest of the pages work fine which do not have any animation.
Query:
Will edge animation with .svg objects animated work in android?
I replaced the .svg objects to plain text but then the navigation to other pages is not possible by swiping.
We are able to navigate only though the navigation bars, also on navigating back to the same first page(containing animation) the animation doesnt seem to work.
Things I tried out:
Put a delay of 0.125 for the animation in folio overlay.
I converted entire animation to HTML5/CSS animation, but i see navigation to other pages in the app impossible by swiping.
Is there anything im missing out?

Note that with the next release, Android viewers will scale folios up or down. You can create a single folio (such as 1280x800) that should look good on all Android devices. Because of scaling, you'll want to avoid memory-intensive design elements such as large pan and zoom images.
For the second question, you'll want to simplify the Edge animation to work on Android devices. Start with this article:

Sound not working on iPad or Android (HTML5)

ok I am having a problem with the audio on a captivate 6 project published to my server in HTML5 and viewed on Android or iPad. The audio works fine when viewed through a PC but doesn't start playing on iPad or Android untill a minute after the slide is displayed. Any idea why?

Same here I recorded the audio as mp3 with soundbooth and importeit directly to captivate. I am able to see the presentation running on android and ipad but the audio does not work or kicks in 3-4 minutes after the presentation.

I'm trying to understand multiple-rendition articles.

I'm basically trying to find out how to design a cover photo that displays at 1536 x 2048 on an iPad 3 and also displays at 768 x 1024 on an older iPad-- and I haven't been able to do it yet. Do you basically create 2 photos - one at each resolution? If so, how do you control which one is displayed? Is it defined by the file structure?
I've read multiple articles and it seems overly confusing

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, that doesn't answer my question or help me.
All I'm trying to do is create a cover image that displays at full resolution on an iPad 3 which would be 1536 x 2048.
Since the DPS iPad doc size defaults to 768 x 1024, I assumed that I would need to bring the photo in at full resolution and size it down to fit the page - but I'm not getting the full revolution when I preview it.
The reason I brought up multiple images is that's what I'm reading in Adobe articles on creating multiple renditions.
So, do I just create the folio at 1536 x 2048?

What is your opinion about the performance of digital magazines in each of the devices? Which one to choose for this purpose?

You can't create a single folio viewer for iPhone. You'll need to create a multi-folio viewer, and it must be iPad+iPhone combined. There's no option for iPhone-only.

You’ll need either a Pro or Enterprise account. And you will have to publish any non-iPad app as multi folio. Single edition, regardless of your plan, is iPad only.

J'ai un projet de réalisation d'une application pour tablette Ipad et Android. J'aimerais utiliser Adobe Digital Publishing Suite pour cela.
Pourriez me confirmer que je peux créer un folio pour ces deux types de tablettes, et est ce que la version d'abonnement Creative Cloud pour particuliers suffit ou dois je prendre l'édition pour Entreprise ?

Tout dépend de comment vous souhaitez la "publier".
S'il s'agit de B2B et que l'application n'a pas besoin de passer par les magasins d'applications, vous pouvez toujours partager directement le contenu de votre travail via le Content Viewer (iOs et android, ET gratuit…)
Hormis la solution Single Edition iPad, le modèle est là dans le but d'avoir une diffusion maximale, à penser comme le lancement en kiosque d'une revue.
Le "comment se fait-il" tient à plusieurs facteurs, fragmentation du marché, achats moindres sur Android (qui est souvent un périphérique offert à et non choisi par l'utilsateur), etc. Cela évolue, doucement.

Cp 8 responsive design module in Saba LMS displays desktop view on iPad and Android phone

I'm testing a short, four slide responsive project in Saba Enterprise Cloud 7.2 (this is the latest version of Saba). It's SCORM 1.2 and I used the Publish for Devices feature to create my zip. When I preview the module in the LMS on an iPad and Android phone, the desktop view is displayed on both devices. Has anyone successfully deployed a responsive module in Saba?

My husband and I have multiple devices (iPad, iPhone, iPod ) that we we have linked to individual iTunes accounts ie he has his account with iPad, iPhone, PC and iPod linked/sync and I have my account with iPhone, iPad, iPad mini, PC etc.. How do we share our music and apps across/between our accounts?

It probably means that only one of you can use iCloud or at least sync calender/contacts with it. I would guess that you could manually manage the other phone as you have before.

Can I open embedded PDF documents in a PDF file on an iPad or Android?

So I'm trying to open embedded PDF documents in a "parent" PDF document on an iPad.
On a PC the file opens fine.
On an iPad 2 with Adobe's Reader the same file says it's corrupted.
On PDF Pro the file opens, I can see the listing of embedded PDF documents but when I click on them nothing happens.
Is there a way for a PDF file with embedded hyperlinked PDF documents to be displayed on an iPad or Android?

pages on the iOS has access only to the camera roll to embedd pictures , but no external files.
Content from other documents like pdf can be copied and pasted by using Adobe Reader for iOS or the iBooks.app, open the pdf , copy text , then go to pages.app and paste text into the document there.

I purchased IWEB 09 so I could publish multiple websites through mobile me. Do I need to purchase an upgrade to mobile me to be able to do that?

Yes, I am trying to use multiple personal domain names.
You can use one CNAME pointed domain name per MobileMe account. It goes to the topmost site in the iWeb site organizer. You can use URL Forwarding for as many other domain names as you want, pointing them at the appropriate MobileMe sites web.me.com/username/sitename.
