Purchase reports for components of production BOM Based on Its Sales BOM

Hi all
I have sales BOM and the components of Sales BOM are production items having Production BOM and the components of production BOM are purchase items
My problem is when i create a sales order for my Sales BOM, i should be able to get a report for purchase items that is how much i have to purchase with out using MRP
pls anyone help me with approbriate queries

  • Class for Purchase order item components and Production order components

    I'm looking for a some classes.   I'm very new to objects, so I could be searching for them incorrectly.
    The first class I'm looking for is a purchase order class that contains the item components.  I've looked at CL_PO_ITEM_HANDLE_MM and CL_PO_HEADER_HANDLE_MM.  I couldn't find components as a part of either of the classes.
    The second one I'm looking for is not as critical.  It is for the components for a production order.   I have a function module: BAPI_PRODORD_GET_DETAIL that gets the components for the order.  However, to take advantage of objects - I read somewhere - that if possible I should avoid calling a function module.
    Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated.

    I do not think there are already classes available on ERP 6.0 for reading production order (yet I might be wrong...). However, regarding purchase order you are already on the right track.

    Hi Prabhakar,
    Well you can opt for ALV display...
    You want to generate report based on plant data..
    Once the user enters the plant, you can extract the remaining info from table MARA, QALS, EKKO.
    The radio buttons will decide your selection critera.
    I dont think any functional guy will give you everthing spoon feeded. You will have to explore those tables and the relevant fields.
    In case you are finding it to difficult to get the relations between the tables or finding list of tables,
    i shall send u docs which will help u solve the problem.

    You Are correct, I got this while doing Availability Check, 2 dates.
    Requirement Date, and Committed Date.
    I tried your solution,
    I change the Quantity of one of my BOM , I tried to change the Quantity by Change Number,
    So in CS 03 I can see the Validity of that component up to 01-09-2010,
    I run MRP agian, new planned Order, tried to convert, the question is same.
    I still get the date as 31-12-9999.

    Can someone advise on how to achieve the following.
    Scenario: Production orders are created based on sales order. Mutiple POs can exist for each SO.
    Create a BI report which will report Sales order qty and production qty (actual GR qty) by month
    infoproviders: 0PP_C01 and 0SD_O01
    Fields:
    0SD_O01: 0DOC_NUMBER, 0S_ORD_ITEM, 0REQU_QTY, 0CREATEDON
    0PP_C01 : 0DOC_NUMBER, 0GR_QTY
    Can some one tell me how to build a logic in BI report to first select all SOs based on created date (selection screen input) and use that to pick all the POs and get the actual GR qty.

    For every PO Created there will be some reference Sales order.
    Include this in your extractor, Update data from this two extracors in  two DSOs and further update to infoproviders for reporting

  • BAPI for creation of Production Order with Ref to sales order

    Hi all,
    we are using BAPI_PRODORD_CREATE  for creating Production Order with ref to sales order.
    As per the Business Scenario, we are not creating any masters like BOM and Routing, instead
    we are creating Routing directly into the Production Order under operation overview screen.
    during creation of routing system is generating a default operation.
    the following is the error results after running the Bapi.
    "No routing selected"

    with out creation of BOM you created routing and in routing for the operations which components did you allocated so that can be used to manufacture the final product. Can you be please specific?

  • Rules-based GATP with sales BOM

    with reference to the following thread which asks the same question, but although in "answered" status, actually contains no answer to the final question...
    GATP Question
    We are investigating the possibility of using GATP with rules-based ATP to propose a sourcing plant. The result of this is of course a subitem in the sales order.
    My question is, is there any restriction to using the sales BOM with rules-based ATP? We use the sales BOM currently to insert the packaging items into the sales order. From a previous project, I have in the back of my mind that there was a restriction in this respect, and that with the subitem from the GATP result, it was not possible to explode the sales BOM.
    I cannot find what I recall to be the explicit SAP-help statement in this respect. Anybody with experience in this?

    The current situation is as follows:
    We have the saleable product A in plants X and Y, with a sales BOM in each of the plants, for the packaging items B and C. When product A is entered in the sales order in, say, plant X, the sales BOM is exploded and items B and C are inserted into the sales order. ATP is done in R/3, and if there is no availability in X, then the plant can be manually changed to Y, but each of the subitems from the sales BOM must also be manually changed to Y.
    Desired to be situation:
    We implement GATP, with a rule to subsitute plant X with plant Y in the event that plant X has no stock. So the desired system response is: enter item A in the sales order with plant X, GATP subsitutes plant X with plant Y and generates a subitem for product A in plant Y. Now the sales BOM is exploded for the new subitem, generating the further subitems for B and C, also in plant Y.
    Is this possible?

    I'll try and explain the XLR Report you'd need for this.  This is isn't the best way to explain something like this, but I'll give it a shot.
    -  Put an expansion on Row 8 and choose all Items (*), click Apply
    -  In A8, put ItemCode
    -  In B8, put Item Name
    -  In C8, put Sales - A/R Row Total
    -  In D8,put Sales - A/R Row Total again
    -  Setup a Parameter
        -  Call it Period
        -  Dimension
        -  Financial Period
    -  In Column D, put a column Summary and click into Financial Period
        -  click the button to open the selection window
        -  click to the parameter tab
        -  select your parameter and click OK and click Apply
    -  In Column C, put a column Summary and click into Financial Period
        -  click the button to open the selection window
        -  click to the parameter tab
        -  in the bottom right corner, add a "-1"   it should look like this @Period-1
        -  click OK and click Apply
    -  In C7 and D7 - choose Financial Period Code from formula builder
                 (so you can see the period code at the column header)
    This will show sales by item in the current Period (column D) and previous Period (column C)
    Hope that helps and at least gets you going.  I can't guarantee those are perfect instructions from memory.

    I want to enter the serial numbers of the components in the production order.  How can we do it.
    I am able to enter the serial number of the FG in the production order, but want to enter for the Components as well.
    Any direction will be greatly apprecialted.

    You can assign componenets (with serial nos.) to FG ( also with serial nos.) with COIB after goods receipt.( Menu path --Logistics -> Plant maintenance -> Management of technical objects -> Installed base -> Create (special) -> With reference to production data.)
    Example: Say FG sr. no. is 1
    And components serial no. are- 1,5,10,20 and so on.
    After assignment of components it can be viewed on right part of screen, You can have the assignment history--- ie for which assembly no. which components are assigned or vice versa. In production order i.e in descrete mfg. it can be directly done at the time of operation confirmation.
    The following is the detail steps:
      1. T code--COIB
      2. Enter material code ( FG). You can select specific serial no. of FG --- by putting sr. no. in serial no. field.
      3. Click on list tree- you will find FG with serial numbers.
      4. Click on explode-- it will show the BOM ( in bottom left corner of screen)
      5. Select the FG numbers for which you want to assign the componets
      6. Clik on tranfer
      7. Select the component 
      8. Also select the FG no. on right side screen.
      9. Select the serial no. which you want to assign to an FG
    10. Click on assign
    11. You will find all the components will get assigned to FG with serial numbers.
    12. Now on right side screen there is "save" button. ( It will ask you create/ change as built in foreground or background?
    13. Select as foreground
    14. Save
    15. You will find a message at the borttom --- saved.
    16. Now you will find tick mark ( in front of FG material) in right part of screen ( indication of assignment of components)

    I need to do reporting on the purchasing values only for PO item with movement type 101,102 and few other related to GR.
    Objective is only PO items where item goods receipt has happened.
    Will the 2LIS_01_ITM do with BWVORG? Or any other extractor needs to be used

    You can do it either in data loading level using routine or at Report level.
    I prefer doing it at data load level  ,like manasi said..write routine to filter out unwanted movement types.
    Better keep dso in your model and between dso to cube you write this so that in future you enhance it then you just need to modify the logic between the dso and cube..
