Purchased music is not showing up on iTunes 11

I am running Windows 7 and am having trouble with iTunes. I have updated my iTunes to 11 and my purchases are not showing up in the Library. When I do a search, the music and apps show up in the iTunes folder. I've tried re-launching iTunes and restarting my computer to no avail. Any music I do import from a CD does show up in my Library. Is there a fix to this or am I going to to have to reinstall iTunes to my computer? Please help if you can, thanks...

Figured it out, looked for the individual songs and "draged" them from the folder to the iTunes library.

The 'Purchased' music is just a special Playlist. You can create your own and drag the links into the 'Purchased' PL.
Using the command CMD-J you can add the Purchase date to your list view - sort by date - drag the tunes to the 'Purchased' PL.

Purchased music does not show in itunes. Only the artists

I purchased a couple albums on my iPhone. It shows the artist in the iTunes store and that there are 22 items, but it does not show the music for me to download it to my library.

Depending upon what country that you are in you might be able to redownload the albums via the Purchased link under Quick Links on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage on your PC's iTunes, or on the current version of iTunes you can access the Purchased section by clicking on your name towards the top right of the iTunes screen and then Purchased on the popup
If they show there then click on the cloud icons on them to download them

Purchased content is not showing up in iTunes.

My purchased content (TV Series and ebook) are not showin gup in iTunes. The record of my purchases is correct when I go to accounts. According to an earlier post there should be an option under accounts to hide or not hide but this does not show up for me. I have an Australian account - perhps this makes a difference.
Apps purchased all seem fine.

Also it seems that books have moved to ibooks.
Would love to know what is going on.

My Music is NOT showing up in iTunes

I don't have a clue what I did wrong but when I open iTunes now, I don't see any of my music. I don't know whether this was created by a sync error with my iPhone but all I know is that I can't see my Music, my iPhone Apps, my Audio Books, etc, in iTunes.
I can use Finder to navigate to the music (JimReed/Documents/Dropbox/JBR-Music/iTunes) where I can see all of the music, .xml file, CoverArt folders, etc. so I know all my data is intact but when I open iTunes, I don't see any music. I have selected iTunes/Preferences/Advanced and made sure iTunes is looking in the correct place for my music but that doesn't work. I have even tried Consolidate Library, without success. Hi, I have a Classic iPod and have been having the same problems as you since Sunday i.e all of my music including playlists keep disappearing from iTunes. I am able to get it back but when iTunes is closed down it appears to be incapable of either saving it or linking back to the library. I see you have resolved your issue...has it continued to work?
My problem started with iTunes freezing and window closing the programme. Since then it is as described above. Even though I get it back it does not save playlists on my hard disk just a long list of music which means starting all over again...I am going mad!

Music is not showing up in iTunes

I recently replaced my hard drive and did a data migration from time machine. When I open iTunes my music is NOT there, however when I search it in the Finder I find my folder with all my music, and I can play it from there. Ideas of what went wrong. I'm stumped...

After downloading ios 7, my iphone 4 will sync but my music will not show up only itunes purchases will show up and be the only ones playing. the rest have a little red square next to them

Ive been having this problem ever since i upgraded to ios 7. I went to put new music on my iphone, and i synced my phone went to listen to my music and it either has a cloud next to it, a red square, or is there but clear and will not play. Seems that purchases from itunes are the only music that actually work. When i put my phone on shuffle, it continues to shuffle through my music until it finds a song that will actually play, which ends up being one of the purchased songs. I have a total of about 1300 songs, about 600 purchases and the rest just dont work. Please help me find what is wrong with this because it has been weeks and im going insane and really debating on switching over to a different phone brand like the new blackberry or s4, im done with apples ****.

Update - I found the iphoto cache deleted it. This did not work.... it still cannot find the photos. I then placed all the photos on my desktop and synced my phone to the folder. It found ALL the pictures on my desktop folder. I would still prefer to find a fix, so I can sync my photos to iPhoto....

I bought some new music in iTunes and now my purchases are showing up in the purcahsed folder but will not transfer into my library- I want to get the music onto my nano. It is in my music files- I see it in the purchaed folder but only 1 of the 16 songs made it into my actual library. Bugged!

Ha! Just figured it out myself!
Under iTunes Store > Quick Links > Account, there is a setting "iTunes in the Cloud" which allowed me to "Unhide any hidden, redownloadable purchases." I clicked on "Manage" and VOILA! Problem solved.

Why would files that are in my iTunes Music folder not show up in iTunes?

Downloaded emusic.com files show up in my iTunes Music folder like usual, but iTunes doesn't seem to detect them. Then, each time I quit iTunes I receive a problem report saying iTunes quit unexpectedly. Help?

iTunes is a data base manager and as noted needs a reference.
If I am adding tunes not purchased from the iTS then I d/l to a folder on my Desk Top then as noted 'Add to Library'.
I also have the iTunes prefs>Advanced>copy .... option enabled. This way iTunes will copy the tune into iTunes and then you can delete the Desk Top copy.

Before I added songs to my Mac, I bought some using iTunes. I then added my songs from my PC using the link above. When I went back to look up all my songs, the songs that I purchased on my Mac before adding my new songs from the windows were not there. I've bought a fair number of apps through the App Store, including some reasonably expensive ones. I've also had severe problems backing up my iPhone, and eventually had to restore it from scratch so that I could update with the latest OS. Unfortunately, none of the apps which I bought on the App Store have shown up in iTunes, and thus I can't reload them. How do I go about restoring these apps without buying them?
