Purchasing contents from iTunes limited to my Region/Locale

my apple account is created/registered in the Asia Pacific Region. I recently bought an iPad2 and got disappointed after trying to buy contents from iTunes. apparently, Music and Videos are only available in the iTunes USA store. I was able to view contents in iTunes USA but when I wanted to purchase the item/content, the system would prompt that I am not allowed to make any purchases. I already purchased a few items in my region and its OK. This is my first time with an apple product and I'm just figuring out my way around.

"No, this is not the way it is"
Yes it is.
"There is no business in the world that restrict me from buying, except itunes. So, why is this so?"
In order for Apple to get licensing rights for iTunes store items, they had to agree to copyright restrictions by the copyright owners.
For Amazon, it is up to the purchaser (you) to ensure you follow local laws.

  • Can purchased content (from iTunes) be uploaded into iTunes U?

I suspect that this question has been answered, but I couldn't find the right combination of keywords to find the answer. So the question remains: Can purchased content (from iTunes) be uploaded into iTunes U?

No, you must have the digital rights to the content in order to upload it to iTunes U. Please review the copyright information for uploaded content at http://images.apple.com/support/itunesu/docs/iTunes_U_CopyrightOverview.pdf

  • TS3274 iPad won't download purchased content from iTunes

    Greetings
iPad newbie here. I've been trying to download Breaking Bad season 4 for a couple of weeks and I keep getting an error message
    Any thoughts would be appreciated
    Thanks in advance

Choose Authorize Computer from the Store menu in iTunes and enter your iTunes Store account information. Changing the hardware configuration may cause iTunes to think it's on a different computer.

  • Can not purchase content from iTunes store on AppleTV

    Hello
I am trying to download a particular episode of TV directly on my AppleTV. I am able to navigate to the episode I want correctly. I click buy, then click OK, and then I get "Access iTunes Store" with the spinning gear. I left it overnight and it still did not download. Any suggestions? Help!
P.S. I did a network test and everything seemed to be okay.

Sadly, yes, of course I was logged into the iTMS.
I did a full factory restore and software update and am letting it re-sync while I'm at work. I'll try it again when I get home late tonight.

  • Has any Coldplay fan lost purchased content within iTunes, I have recently noticed my Coldplay Live 2012 purchased on iTunes is gone from my iCloud library and no longer available for purchase ! A bit strange considering there new album just went on sale

Recently I have noticed my iTune purchased concert movies after being put back in the cloud are currently missing.
I have never had purchased content from iTunes vanish from my iCloud library and also not be available for purchase on iTunes.
When I had Apple personnel attempt to push the content back to me, they could not find Coldplay's Live 2012.
Even more strange considering their new album just went on sale and renewed interest must be prompting fans to review their collections.
A beautifully shot concert film is missing, a sad situation to be sure!
Thanks for any iCloud wisdom and other fans noticing the same thing.

What happens when you try to buy them, does the 'buy' button not work, do you get any error messages ... ?
If you are getting a message to contact iTunes Support then you can do so via this link and ask them for help (on these forum we won't know why the message is appearing) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • How Can I Remove Purchased Content from my Apple TV?

I have content that I purchased through iTunes and it's stored on my Apple TV but I'm selling it so I need to move that content to one of my Macs. I can't find any instructions on how to do it. Can anyone help me out? It's the 40GB model running the latest software and it's connected to my Wi-Fi network. Thanks.

Content purchased on ATV should automatically sync to a computer you connected it with. If you have not alreday done so, in ATV go to Settings -> Computer. Select the computer that has your iTunes library, follow the instructions and sync. Quickly disable syncing of music, photos, movies etc. so that you dont move content from iTunes to ATV. The purchases on your ATV will sync back to your iTunes anyway.
If you already have a computer connected to your ATV, everything should have synced alreday. You then need to discionnect your iTunes from your ATV (Settings -> Computers) and this will automatically erase your ATV.

  • How many times can you download a purchased tune from iTunes?

I am in the process of cleaning up my itunes. I am deleting duplicates. I find that I have duplicates of purchased tunes. Don't know how this even happens but now that I've put 700 duplicates in the wastebasket, I find a lot of purchased tunes gone from the library. The view in the trash does not include artists name so if you don't know the specific name of each song, ouch! My thinking was that if I could redownload tunes that I purchased already from Itunes, I could save my self a lot of work. Any help would be appreciate guys.

    from the horse's mouth
+When you buy a song, video, iPod Game, or album from the iTunes Store you are entitled to download it a single time. If you want to download it again, you must purchase it again. You can copy downloaded content between authorized computers.+
+Important: Make a backup of the content you purchase. In case of data loss, including hard drive failure or replacement, accidental deletion, and so forth, you'll be able to restore it from the backup. See How to back up your media in iTunes for instructions.+

    Hello compugrrl998,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with watching The Walking Dead on your Apple TV.  I am sure you are eager to watch it on your television.
Have you tried checking specifically in Movies > Purchased or TV Shows > Purchased on the Apple TV?
Play previous purchases on Apple TV
You need Apple TV (2nd generation or later) to play content on Apple TV. Some features require the latest version of Apple TV software. If they're available in 1080p, you can play previously-purchased 720p HD TV shows and movies in 1080p.
    Movies and TV shows
On the Apple TV main menu, choose Movies > Purchased or TV Shows > Purchased.
Select the item you want to view.
    Choose Play.
    Download past purchases
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519
If you are looking there and not seeing the episodes, I recommend verifying that you are signed in with the same Apple ID on the Apple TV that you are signed in with on your iPhone.

  • How do I move and store my purchased items from itunes from my pc to icloud?

I'm trying to watch a rented movie on my pc through itunes, but itunes won't let me download anymore because my pc lacks memory. So I'm trying to free up some ram on my pc, by storing all of my purchased items from itunes on my pc and moving it to my icloud account. Will that solve the problem? And how do I do that exactly?

    Hi DKX31,
To set up iCloud on your PC, you will want to follow the instructions in this article -
Apple - iCloud - Learn how to set up iCloud on all your devices.
    http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/pc.html
If you want to keep your purchased content in the iCloud, you will want to enable iTunes match

  • How to Recover purchased songs from iTunes store?

I recently fixed my iTunes, but in the process I've seemed to have lost about half of my purchased songs. When I go to "My Music" folder to try to get them back they are not there, but in my account I have a recipt of all my purchased songs (so I can prove I've bought them). Any ideas on how to get them back? Thanks for the help.

f you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. If you click on any of the links on this page you'll find a space at the bottom to email your query: iTMS Customer Service
If you have an iPod that still has the purchases on it the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer

  • Since downloading iOS 7, I have been having trouble purchasing music from iTunes Store. When ever I try to make a purchase I always get the message "Your account    is not valid in the US  store"

Since downloading iOS 7, I have been having trouble purchasing music from iTunes Store. When ever I try to make a purchase I always get the message "Your account    is not valid in the US  store" As I am new at this I don't know what I can do to remove this problem.

What country are you in ? If you aren't in the US and the address on your account isn't in the US then try going to the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app on your iPad and tap on your account id, tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account, and then select the Country/Region section and select your country.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Try deleting the problematic tune (electing to remove original file if/when prompted) and then re-downloading the file from the iTunes store.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option from the Quick Links section in the top right corner of the iTunes homepage in your iTunes application on your computer.
You can re-download content purchased from the iTunes store (availability varies depending on location) using the purchased option at the bottom of the screen of the iTunes app on your iOS device.
If the problem re-occurs, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History using your computer.
