Purchasing module

Hi,
Our proposal customer has a requiest for us.
He wants to see somewhere in the A/P invoice the picture of his incoming invoice. It means that the paper based invoice would be scanned,and we have to attach to the A/P invoice. It is possible, with SBO? And how?

Hi Veronika,
You could add an User Defined Field to the form where you want to see the picture. Its type should be a picture.
Then, when you doble click on it, if you have a scanner connected with your PC or server there would be a button that makes you able to scan documents.
Now you only have to select the scanned picture.

  • Query on Personalized Views derived from Purchasing Module

    Dear OAF Gurus,
    I am trying to do analysis on the personalized views provided on the purchasing module.I need Oracle's help on this.
    The navigation for this is Purchasing Super User -> Buyer Work Center -> Orders.
    When I click on the personalize button,it navigates to the CustomJRADTableViewsPage.xml for the creation of the personalized views.
    When I analysed this page for any VO from which the personalized views are getting stored,am just finding the VOs to be dynamically created.
    I need an understanding of this VO's.
    1) Where are these personalized views stored?
    2) What is the VO that gets displayed in the personalized views page?
    3) How are these personalized views visible to only for those users who created them?
    Kindly answer all these questions and get back to me if you have any queries regarding this.

    Just wondering that,any way to copy the Sales & Purchase Modules's data from existing company to new company? Copy Express can't do it. But how about Data Transfer Workbench can copy?

    How many field from the ORDR or RDR1 have to exported depends on the business logic implemented and what was being used.  No one can really provide a standard set of 5 or 10 fields as you know the clients business better than anyone in the Forum.
    If the Client used User fields then data from the user fields should also be exported.
    The base fields from ORDR would be CardCode, DocDate, DocDueDate, Transpcode (shipping code), SlpCode, GroupNum (Payment terms code), etc.
    Similarly on RDR1, ItemCode, Quantity, Price and any additional row level information that may pertain to their business

    We recently performed an upgrade to 11.5.10 and are experiencing issues in the Purchasing module. The problem we're having occurs when trying to do a data export of our position hierarchy. I have no problems defining or setting up the hierarchy however, when I click Tools >> Export Data, I am recieving the error message below. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Pop-Up Blocker is not an issue. Metalink note: 280495.1 briefly descibes the process I am dealing with.
    I am now trying to follow directions in the metalink note listed below. I am recieving the same error they discribed.

    "If you get the error, “You do not have permission to access this functionality", then you need to add the submenu, ”HR ADI Seeded Integrator Form Functions” to your Navigator Menu, and try again. "

  • Item description not filling in Sales and Purchase module screen

    i am here with a problem, while selecting the item code in the Grid of Purchase and Sales module related screens like Sales order, Purchase order etc, the item description is not getting field, though i tried to select the item from the item Description column.

    Is your problem Solved then Please close Thread by Making Correct and helpful Answer.
    If your Problem is not Solved then Please check your default Warehouse in General Setting >>> Inventory Tab.
    I think Default Warehouse is not present in Item Master Data Inventory Tab.
    Try to Update Default Warehouse in General Setting >>>> Inventory Tab. You need to make Default Warehouse which is present in All Item Master Data >>>> Inventory Tab.

    Can you explain more elaborately .....Are you using user Defined chart of accounts???By the look of it, it appears as if you have not entered all the manadatory G/L accounts in the purchse module.
    Off hand I can state that please check the following:
    1. Whether all the manadatoty G/L accounts have been entered in G/L account determination in the purchse tab
    2. For stock calculation the G/L accounts that you are using all of them hev been entered or not.
    3. Also check if you are using purchase accounts the G/L accounts have been enetred or not.

    As Sumit has said earlier and confirmed by you that this is not on a OA page but on a PUI, I don't see the relevance of this thread in OAF forum.
    If WebADI setup is not done, I don't see a reason why it should work. That makes me believe that this feature wasn't even working before the upgrade you have mentioned. Was it?

    Check for APPROVED_DATE column in PO_HEADERS Table
    OR
    In PO_ACTION_HISTORY table check for your Object ID ( It is your PO_header_id), on the retrieved records, where the Action_code is APPROVE you should consider the ACTION_DATE .. which is your Approval Date..

  • Delegation of Approvals (Approval Workflow in Purchasing Module)

    I am using AME(Approval Management Engine) to generate the list of approvers for all the requisitions.
    My requirement is:
    If a requisiton requires approval of 'ABC'. But ABC is not able to approve it because he is on leave. So the workflow should automatically be delegated to another approver.
    This situation also comes when ABC didn't approve the requisition for a fixed time. After that time limit it will be delegated.

  • Purchasing cube designing, update rule mapping for 0calday

    Hi All,
       Iam designing cube for Purchasing module in BW. Iam having doubt in mapping for 0calday in update rules, is it with document date or scheduline date. I have searched in SAP cube 0PUR_C01, it is mapped with 0SCHED_DATE( schedule line date). How the difference comes when we choose document date and schedule line date.
      FYI, we are using only schedule line data source, which is giving relevant information.

    Please note:
    0SCHED_DATE: The schedule line date is the day on which the scheduled quantity of the material is to be delivered.
    0DOC_DATE: The date on which document has been craeted.
    Use the first one for purchasing.

    Hi Friends,
             I need to develop the Purchase Register Report with Vendor details, TIN number, Invoice details, E1 purchases with purchase base value and VAT and CST percentages. But Iam new to the Purchase module. I know the basic tables for purchasing. but can anybody guide me the tables for TIN number with VAT and CST percentages and how to proceed?

    I don't know the fields but a few pointers that might be helpful:
    1) Ask your functional analyst - it's part of their job to provide you with the field location or any guidance on that
    2) At least someone should be able to point you where the fields are on the screen. Then you should be able to go the usual route - F1 -> Technical info, etc.
    3) Respective functional forum might be a better place for such questions if for some reason p. 1 and 2 above are not feasible.
    4) You can always use SQL Trace (ST05) to find where the information is being read from or written to. Start the trace, run the transaction, stop the trace and analyze the list. Voila - no need to ask anyone ever again.

  • Purchase Order and Sales Order Creation Interface

    I have an issue, I need to create a PO in Oracle Purchasing and the create the corresponding Sales Order in OM, I need to know how to this and create the association between the two documents. All these has to be created thru the open interfaces because the information is comming from a legacy system.
    Does anyone know if this is possible or has an example perhaps?

    Here is what you can do
    1) Import the data in the form of DROP SHIP sales orders in BOOKED status
    2) Once the orders are imported, run Purchase Release and then Requisition import programs
    3) In Purchasing module, check the new Requistions created and then use the auto create feature to create the POs.
    This process will link the PO to SO.
    There should be a way to automate the Auto Create process too.
    This is one idea I've and there could be some other better ideas tooo...

  • Purchase Req and PO questions in 11i

    Hi,
    I have few questions on Purchasing module, can any one plase provide your inputs, any help is highly apporeciated. i am using 11i
    1. When we Auto create PO from a Req, The “Ship To” field does not automatically populate from the REQ. How can we Auto populate Shipt to of a REQ line shipt to PO? Is it Possible?
    2. Oracle allows Requestors to submit a REQ for a supplier that is on Hold. Can We make tohave it not allow the REQ to be submitted and provide an error message?.
    3. Oracle allows REQ’s to be submitted when missing required information such as “Ship To” and “Supplier Site” as these are not mandatory fields. How can we make these feilds mandatory under REQ screen?can we achieve through Form personalization?.
    4. Inorder to Place a supplier on Payment Hold requires checking boxes on the main supplier setup and then on each site setup. Is there any way to we can do one step actions in the main supplier setup affect all existing and subsequent sites.

    1. The shipto on the PO shipment defaults from the Requisition. However, the shipto on the PO header remains blank. The buyer has to fill it in manually.
    This is correct, can we display what ever displayed under "shipto on the PO shipment" to "shipto on the PO header" , is it achieved only through Form personalization.
    4. The payment hold box on supplier screen is used to default the same box when CREATING a new supplier site. Unless you write a customization, I don't know of any way to set the box on all sites when it is checked on the supplier screen.
    If we check the "Hold all Payments" under Supplier form, it is not automatically defaulting under sites, but is it required to go manually each site and check the "Hold all Payments"?, I think once we check the "Hold all Payments" under Supplier form it would logically apply for all of its sites as well right, though we dont check under sites?
