Put ibrowser to his initial value

hello to all, first i want to say im sorry because i know that the majority of my questions arent very related with Mii, then i have more one question...after insert the information in the DB i want that my dropboxes return to is initial values that is - - - , i already tried this: document.brs_Tare.updateBrowser(true)...and worked but then for example the user could choose the data to insert in dropbox 2 before choose the data in dropbox 1 and i dont want that...
regards and thanks in advance
Mário

Mário,
If you dont want the user to choose drop Box 2 before selecting the data in Drop Box 1, then use
<Param name="initialUpdate" Value="false">
for Drop Box 2. Activate it only on selection event  of DropBox 1.
document.brs_Tare.updateBrowser(true) is the best option.If you just want ur iBrowser to return to initial value  use
document.brs_Tare.setSelectedItemByIndex(0)
or use
document.brs_Tare.setSelectedItem('----')
Hope this help

  • Initial value for a dropdown box

    Hello all,
    I have created a web template in the WAD (BI 70) with a dropdown box on a characteristic. A chart is displayed based on the query result. My query is built on an infoset.
    My problem is to populate the filter with an initial value and still let users change the characteristic value in the dropdown (all values for the characteristic is not acceptable in the context) . Also, I don't want the variable screen to show up.
    What is the best approach to achieve this?
    Thanks,
    JL

    In Query Designer you put in your default value in the area to the right in the first pane..
    If you put it on the left hand side, the filter will not be changeable.
    Hope this helps.

  • How to use bind variable value of one VO as initial value for other VO row?

    JDeveloper 10.1.3.3, ADF Faces, ADF BC
    Hi,
    I have two View Objects: one read only with several bound variables and another editable entity based. Correspondingly there are two ADF Faces pages: first contains search form based on the read-only VO and second create form based on the editable VO. The search form has several hidden fields for some of bound variables because they aren't edited directly by user. These fields are updated with PPR when user selects other search criteria from LOV.
    There is a command button in the first page that navigates to the second form. Is there any way to transfer values of bound variables from the first VO to the second VO as initial values of the new row?
    I tried to set custom controller for the second page and retrieve search criteria values from request parameter map but values from hidden fields are missing. I think because that these fields are updated by PPR. Of course I can add custom action method to the navigation button and in the method put these values to request parameter map but I hope there is better solution.
    Thanks,
    Marius

    To summarize, given a bind variable value for one VO, on creating a row in a second VO, for 1 of the attributes of the second VO, you want to use the first VO's bind variable value. Correct?
    A potential solution ADF BC driven:
    1) Ensure you have an AppModuleImpl for your AM
    2) Ensure you have a ViewImpl for your 1st VO (where the bind variable will exist) - lets refer to that VO as "Alpha"
    3) Ensure you have a ViewRowImpl for your 2nd VO (the one you want to default the value in) - lets refer to that VO as "Beta"
    4) For your first VO "Alpha" create the bind variable (say pValue)
    5) In your second VO "Beta" ViewRomImpl add following code:
    @Override
    protected void create(AttributeList attributeList) {
      super.create(attributeList);
      AppModuleImpl am = (AppModuleImpl)this.getApplicationModule();
      String someValue = am.getAlphaView1().getpValue();
      setSecondVOAttr(someValue); // change this code to whatever your setter is for the field you want to initialize.
    }Hope this helps. Let us know how you go.

  • BPS  initial value  at Planning Level

    Hello All
    I am getting error while using BW Hierarchy at planning level.
    i find the solution at  Including # initial value using hierachy
    but its not working
    i am getting this error "Characteristic Funds Center does not contain the initial value in the selection ".
    I try resolve the way suggested in old thread but its not working. I can only put either # or include Hierarchy at planning level.
    When I tried to use # it does not display Hierarchy in layout.
    if I include Hierarchy it gives error of "Characteristic Funds Center does not contain the initial value in the selection"
    Thanks in advance.
    Rinku

    If this error is just coming on execution of a planning layout the problem could be with your layout configuration, you should not select the hierarchy option in the first screen of layout config, only select totals by hierarchy on third screen of layout config and you should get the display you're after.
    (I think this error message can also arise when a compounding characteristic is not properly restricted)

  • Setting main object property initial values before loading tile list - Agentry

    Hi;
    I am working on SAP Work Manager 6.0 customising using Agentry 6.1.3. I have 2 properties on the Main object, which are WeekStart and WeekEnd, these properties have their initial values set using a rule on the transaction property level. I am using these two properties in a tile list include rule, to only display items per week, that is if the item date is between WeekStart and WeekEnd. Now my issue is when the tile list initially loads items, the action containing the transaction to set values for WeekStart and WeekEnd has not been executed yet, and hence at this point the tile list is empty. At what point could I run this action to set the initial values of WeekStart and WeekEnd? Currently when the tile list loads, nothing is displayed because the dates sitting in WeekStart and WeekEnd are invalid yet, they have not been set by the transaction. My current include rule is as follows:
    Your help is very much appreciated!

    Hi;
    I really thought that putting the action on "Succesful Login Action" would deal with this issue, please see screenshot below:
    But I see that this does not get executed on the initial load?!
    Any suggestions would be appreciated!

  • Validating 'Initial Values' checkbox in the table

    hi all
    i have a requirement
    i need to put a condition based on the 'Initial values' checkbox of the table.
    eg: let us say I have a table KNA1
    and i have fields KUNNR, LAND1 and NAME1 in my table
    if 'Initial values' checkbox for KUNNR is checked i need to put my condition
    and if 'Initial values' checkbox for LAND1 is checked i need to put another condition
    and if 'Initial values' checkbox of NAME1 field is checked i need to put some other condition.
    in the similar way as per my requirement i need to put conditions for almost all the fields available in the table.
    can any one tell me how to write the above logic.

    Hi vamsi,
    1. one way is
    2. First take all records with all field values, in one ITAB.
    3. Then.
    4.
    data : tabix like sy-tabix.
    data : delflag type c.
       LOOP AT ITAB.
      <b> tabix = sy-tabix.
       clear delflag.</b>
       if not condit1.
      delflag = 'X'.
      endif.
    if not condit2.
      delflag = 'X'.
      endif.
    ..... other if conditions.
    <b>   if delflag = 'X'.
       delete itab index tabix.
      endif.</b>
      ENDLOOP.

  • Why won't cfselect fill the initial value?

    I don't understand why the cfselect won't put in the initial value...
                 <cfif #URL.form_action# EQ "update">

                  </cfif>

    Dude that is the worst response ever.  I arrived at the forums after already reading this page: http://livedocs.adobe.com/coldfusion/8/htmldocs/help.html?content=Tags_r-s_14.ht ml
    Actually I think it's pretty good advice.  There's nothing in your post to suggest you had already read the docs, and given the docs actually explain why what you're trying to do doesn't work, it's reasonable to assume you'd not read them.
    Clearly the selected attribute is what I am supposed to use, however it does not work.
    Well.  Hmmm.  You see the docs also say this:
    "This attribute applies only if selection list items are generated from a query."
    My emphasis.  Your <cfselect> is generated from a bind attribute, not a query attribute.  So that would be why it's "not working".
    FWIW, this restriction seems to have been lifted in CF9.  Not that that's much help to you, I imagine.
    Please someone suggest a solution other than retracing my steps.
    OK.
    Suggestion 1: if someone takes the time to try to help you, don't be rude to them, even if you don't like their suggestion.  It will not endear you to the people who are trying to help you, so you might find yourself not being helped.
    Suggestion 2: I guess one approach would be to knock together some JS that runs after the form has rendered which scans down the option collection until it finds the item you want selected, then select it.
    Suggestion 3: maybe just populate the select with a query instead of a bind.

  • Assign initial values to starting task

    Hi,
    I have defined workflow, which starts when Goods receipt occurs. In my WF container I have an element with type ZMKPF, which stores values about GR. After the completion of GR, a number of agents receive work item with the proposal to post invoice.
    If user clicks to this proposal, task with element ZBUS2081 and "create" method starts. Now I need to populate fields in starting TCODE MIRO with initial values. For example, I need to put DOC_DATE in zbus2081 from zmkpf. Is it possible? Is it right approach or I should look for enhancements not linked with workflow?

    Hi, Рустем!
    I suppose, there are both workflow-specific and MIRO-specific things to do to implement this requirement.
    As I get it, your method CREATE looks something like this now:
    CALL TRANSACTION 'MIRO'.
    To pass defaults you might change it (or create another method) like this:
    (1) get defaults from the workflow
    (2) put defaults into memory or set\get parameters so that MIRO could use the values as defaults
    CALL TRANSACTION 'MIRO'.
    The first part is workflow-specific - you'll have to add some parameters to your BOR method to pass the values. Have a look at method BUS2081.CreateFromData as an example.
    The second part is MIRO-specific, which is beyond this forum. Probably, this can help: Default Values In Miro Transaction. | SCN

  • Initial values in query using multidimensional authorizations

    Hi,
    so far reading here through the topics helped solving my issues, but know I have a problem with displaying the initial values in a query using multidimensional authorizations. We use BI 7 and have to user the authorization check from BW 3.5 (rsr).
    Following situation:
    - We have a two infoobjects "CLUST" and "P_CLUST" referencing to the infoobject "M_COSTELM" and using the same hierarchies.
    - The user should either see a specific value of CLUST and all values of P_CLUST or a specific value of P_CLUST and all values of CLUST in the reports. The values of CLUST and P_CLUST he's allowed to see are the same.
    - The role is declared as following:
    CLUST: * + P_CLUST [] + auth.object for CLUST
    PCLUST: * + CLUST [] + auth.object for PCLUST
    - Only one of those two infoobjects has to be set with a value in the query.
    Using the role as above and running a query, the rights management is working fine and the user only see's what he's allowed to.
    But when the user open's the query he see's the whole hierarchie in the inital values on the left and not only those nodes and leafs he should see.
    For example:
    Hierarchie "costelm_hier"
    ALL_NODES
    - FIRST NODE
       - FN_LEAF 1
       - FN_LEAF 2
    - SECOND NODE
      - SN_LEAF 1
      - SN_LEAF 2
    The user is allowed to see the FIRST_NODE and it's leafs in CLUST and P_CLUST.
    When he now open's a query with CLUST as the input-ready infoobject, in the initial values he see's the whole hierarchie and not only the FIRST_NODE with it's leafs.
    When then browsing through the tree and selecting the FIRST_NODE, in the query, the restrictions are working fine. He can see the FIRST_NODE in the infoobject CLUST and every values in P_CLUST. Also vice versa.
    As it's more user-friendly I only want the user to see the nodes and leafs he's has in his role.
    I also tried using an exit variable with the function 'RSSB_GET_AUTHS_FILTERED', but without success.
    Hope u understand me so far!?
    Thanks for your support!

  • Actual value and initial value showing same text

    Hello,
      I am working with recruiting data. I have created and infoset that has Publications doing a left outer join with Requisitions. This is because the query is trying to list all publications for a requisition and the requisition information should still show on the query even if there is no publication. I am getting the correct records BUT when there is no publication, the initial or 'not assigned' value prints for all fields EXCEPT for publication status. Publication status is a NUMC field and it has a key 0 with the text of 'draft'. Unfortunately when there is no record the initial value is in the key but 'draft' is in the text. I would like the text to say 'not assigned'. I tried to put a space record in the master data text table but since the field is NUMC, it said it already existed. I tried to put a 0 record in the master data and it said it already existed. So as far as the table is concerned space and zero are the same. And due to the query results I'm guessing the initial value is a space or zero. Can anyone tell me how to get 'Not Assigned' to print if there is no publication but 'draft' to print if the key value for publication status is a zero?
    Thanks,
    Diane

  • Problem setting initial value for LOV

    Hello, everyone. This seems like it should be simple, but it's giving me lots of problems. I am trying to create my first LOV. I have a messageLovInput item called PFedFilingStatus. From the Property Inspector, I can set an Initial Value of "02", which displays when I run the page, and lets me change it and validate it using the associated LOV.
    What I would rather do is set the initial value programmatically, but here are my problems:
    If I set the value like this:
    OAMessageLovInputBean lovText = (OAMessageLovInputBean)pageLayout.findIndexedChildRecursive("PFedFilingStatus");
    lovText.setText("02");
    then the field displays properly at run time, but can't be changed. The LOV runs, but any value I select flips back to "02"
    If I set the value like this:
    lovText.setDefaultValue("02");
    then nothing seems to happen at run time. The value is not displayed at all.
    Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks for your help.
