PZ13- Modify or new easy web transaction SAP GUI HTML

Hi, we want to update the service pz13 of the employee self service (persoanl information). That service is a easy web transaction with SAP GUI HTML.
We want to hide some fields of the screen.
How can we do that?
have we to copy the transaction to a new one and update it?
Have we to create a new services with html templates?
In order to create new easy web transaction, Is there any documentation?
Thanks in advance.
MANUEL

Hi,
I suggest you to read the following documentation :
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2004/helpdata/en/cb/a56b026d5311d194ac0000e82dec10/frameset.htm
But the best is to follow the SAP ITS100 course since the course material is not available for free.
In my view, if you want to keep the same layout as in the original service hiding some fields,
- create a new service
- regenerate every screen
- overwrite for each one the content by the original one
- comment the html code corresponding to your fields in your template(s).
- activate the service using transaction sicf.

  • SAP GUi HTML

    Hi Guys,
The solution with Mb1B by HTML Template doesn´t working, we decided used like Webgui Webdynpro.
What Parameters at SICF i should use for smallers screens ???
    thanks

    Hello,
This is interesting. I've been configuring SAP GUI for HTML in order to provide users with Android tablets access to SAP.
Are you developing a custom application?? I'm using the webgui service in SICF, I had to disable the useragentcheck, because the browser was not supported. I couldn't solve the menu bar issue so far (it just doesn't work with a Chrome browser).... and also your question is something that I've been thinking about, I guessed it wasn't possible to change the window size. The same to the menu bar issue... I'm looking forward to hear some recommendations.
    Cheers!
    Diego.

  • Getting problem to open Web Transaction from Portal

User is trying to open one link from portal, which is SAP transaction iView.
This calls one custom transaction from SAP R/3.
This transaction is Easy Web Transaction and GUI support for it, is SAPGUI FOR HTML.
Now the problem is, user is not able to open this link from portal. I can open this same link in my login. But this particular user can't.
Whenever he tries to open this link, gets error message, 'Transaction ZXXXX can not be called in the Easy Access Menu; see long text' and instead of opening the transaction in browser, it opens SAP R/3 GUI.
I have checked the portal content and found no error.
Also asked user to login in my system, but got the same error.
This user is able to access same link from Quality portal, but not from Production portal.,
eventhough the data in both portals is same.
    What can be the error?
Please give your expert comments. Thanks in advance.

    Hello Miikkal,
You need to enable SharePoint class in IE. Please follow this
    blog and follow this
    article.
Once, this is done you can Enable all the IE settings to load for Intranet and Trusted zone settings
Put your site in compatibility mode and trusted zone
Also, make sure that 2 versions of Office suite is not installed on the system.  Eg. Lync 2013 and Office 2010 on one single machine
What happen when you by pass your TMG server. To do this we need to make host entry for URL directed to APP server IP Address.

    Hi,
check etc/services for sapmsSBX entry. If missing - add it (i.e. sapmsSBX      36XX/tcp - where XX is your instance no.)
Add an extra [Enter] after last line of etc/services.

With this the NwSapSetup.log ends with:
    16:26:23 NwSapSetup 1 Return-Code: 145
In the next logical step within our environment a uninstallation of the SAP GUI gets started:
       Commandline:
    '"C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SapSetup\Setup\NWSapSetup.exe"  /Silent /Uninstall /Package=PEACY'
    This operation gets done with:
    12:35:47 NwSapSetup 1 Return-Code: 0
After that the installation of the SAP GUI gets started again with:
       Commandline:        '"C:\peacy.sys\source\SAPGUI730PL8\source\setup\NwSapSetup.exe"  /noDLG /norestart /Package=PEACY'
Now the Installation gets done with:
    12:52:12 NwSapSetup 1 Return-Code: 0
Every first installation of SAP GUI 7.30 PL8 is affected. This is a cross-platform issue (Windows 7 and Windows 8.1). If there was our older package version (SAP GUI 7.30 PL4) installed, the installation of SAP GUI 7.30 PL8 gets done without problems.
Every new client with the SAP GUI 7.30 PL8 assigned or the re-installation of it, and every first installation of the package on a client without SAP GUI leads to the mentioned issue - package gets installed with the mentioned error, afterwards the uninstallation gets started by our environment and finally the installation gets done with the second try. This is not a practicable method for our support staff.
Are there any hints how to resolve this issue. (A upgrade to the newest patch level of SAP GUI is not a practicable solution)
    Thanks in advance!
    Best regards
    Christian

    Hello Christian,
For older releases of the SAP GUI client a good approach is to create package for uninstalling old SAP GUI.  Depending on the state of the old SAP GUI's you're upgrading those may not be "clean" enough to warrant upgrading in place.
The older GUI's have component's no longer provided with the newer releases so most recommendations are to uninstall completely an do a fresh installation.
I credit Matt Fraser for this information and suggest reading his documentation.  The last 4 articles are germane to you're situation.  I hope this helps you.

  • Error while displaying PCUI page from SAP GUI

    Hi,
I did a new development in a SAP GUI report program such that when the report program is called in Portal, on clicking a button, PCUI application for service order will appear. This I did by calling the function module CALL_BROWSER and passing the URL
    (for eg:- http://...../irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.portal.navigation.portallauncher.default?NavigationTarget=/roles/com.sap.pct.crm.ServiceManager/ServiceCycle/nf/ServiceOrders/BSPOrdersManager&DynamicParameter=CRM_OBJECT_TYPE%3DSERVICEPROCESSCRM%26CRM_BOR_TYPE%3DBUS2000116%26CRM_OBJECT_ID%3DFD3A2213D9F449CE83D7AF4EDCF642BA%26CRM_LOGSYS%3DCRD100%26sap-syscmd%3Dnocookie%26CRM_LOGSYS%3DCRD100%26CRM_BOR_TYPE%3DBUS2000116)
This is working fine when the connection is HTTP but when the connection is HTTPS, a new window is opening with Portal header details but the PCUI application is not opening.
Do I have perform any additional steps to get the application opened up in HTTPS connection?
    Thanks & Regards
    G.Raja

    Hi Matthew,
Thanks for your reply. The CRM version is CRM 4.0 SP6. Unfortunately the notes could not be used in our scenario.
The URL is created by us and the function module CALL_BROWSER is called to display the PCUI application. The PCUI application is not getting displayed if the connection is secured (HTTPS) connection.
    Thanks & Regards

  • SAP Gui 7.10 setup question

    Hi All
I am a complete newbie to SAP so please bear with me..
We connect to our SAP server in one of our offices in Holland and for our Windows XP systems use SAP GUI 620. However we now have a few Windows 7 systems around and the 620 installer does not work with 7 therefore I downloaded a new version of the SAP GUI - 710.
When I try and set it up though I can not proceed till I have entered a System ID, the Next button is greyed out. Previously we did not have to enter this. I notice if I enter something like U9C as in the help file we can connect fine, but I dont want to screw anything up by just entering anything, therefore what entry should I use or can I bypass it?
    Any help appreciated guys
    Andy

you can copy files SAP*.INI from C:\windows (from an existing WniXP machine) to your Windows 7.
Read SAP note 1031740 to know where to copy these files.

  • Change standard SAP GUI for HTML theme to portal theme

    Dear Experts,

  • SAP GUI 7.20 Security Rules - How to 'Always Allow' Everything?

The SAP GUI 7.20 comes with a list of security rules.
What is the best way to allow all access so that user's wont get any security prompts?

@Sven, section 2.5 refers to 'Central Repository for Security Configuration'. Like Michael, I have a large number of users and we package and distribute software using non-SAP software. We can't have a central repository that all users can connect to so the 'Location' registry entry wouldn't work for us.
    @Michael:
    > Under the SAP GUI Configuration / Security / Security Settings you can change the default of "Customized" to Disabled.
Do you mean 'Default Action = Allow'? Mine is set to that, but I still get pop-up prompts.
Would setting 'SecurityLevel = 0' result in the SAP GUI have the required result?
I realise that this process would need to be followed:
    - Administrator should install a new version of the SAP GUI 7.20 onto a PC
    - Administrator should edit the registry values using the rule editor in the 'Security' node of the SAP GUI options dialogue
    - A saprules.xml file will then be generated
    - The saprules.xml file should then be copied from the %APPDATA%\SAP\Common folder to the location specified in the registry value 'Location' (maybe make Location a folder on the PC? and put the saprules.xml file into there?)
    - The saprules.xml file in the location specified in the registry value 'Location' will not be overwritten by SAP GUI patches or new installations, however it may need to be updated to include new features
    Note:
    - Registry values are stored in different places for 32 bit and 64 bit PC's

  • Web Enabling SAP R/3 Transactions in the Portal

    Hi,
Our requirement is to web enable SAP R/3 (>4.6) transactions in the portal (EP 6.0). We don't want to check for user authorization in the portal as all these things are done in the R/3 system. We just want to have an iView in the portal which will show all the transactions user is authorized for (in the R/3 system). I think it will be something similar to when the user logs into the R/3 system using SAP GUI.
Just to make it more clear, I am not looking for web enabling of a single R/3 transaction. I am looking for the web enabling of R/3 system as a whole in the portal.
Can anyone please tell the steps to do the same?
Please let me know for any clarifications.
    Regards,
    Chandra

    Hi ,
Well first of all, nthis kind of interface is not suggested. But still if you need this kind of interface.
then you need to have a seperate installation of ITS server. You need to define a SAP transaction based Iview.
In property you can call any normal transaction, which gererally every user will have access to.
Now attach this iview to any existing iview or create a new iview in Portal Content.
Add the concerned page to a role/create a workset and add this page to it. and workset to concerned user role.
this will take care of your requirement.
if you need exact steps please let me knoe.
